Nice hotel, disappointed with the pools

Really lovely hotel but the spa was a disappointment. The indoor pools were cold (27°C), I appreciate this is standard pool temperature but only really works if you’re swimming/exercising. To just lounge in, it feels cold. Most spas has at least one pool that’s at least 30+.

The staff are kind and helpful, the hotel is lovely and comfortable. The saunas, pools and hot tubs are clean and inviting. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety including vegan options. It’s a very nice 22 minute walk along the sea to the old town where there are cute shops and restaurants, especially Merisalo. Skip the expensive trolley to town and walk!

Not worth a money.

Stayed one night with kids.No airconditioning in rooms, everything is bit run down, breakfast was not that good.

It's beautifull setting during the summer but not worth the prize.

Parking was 15€/night, not a lot of money but leaves a bat taste after everything else.

Will not recommend and will not use their services again.

Nice and peaceful hotel in a very beautilful area and enviroment. Hotel was neat and tidy, but the condition was in some places, especially in the spa section, not so good and modern. Thai Garden was one of the best thai food experiences we've ever had so strong recommendation to that restaurant.

Pros: room and the spa were nice and clean, breakfast and dinner were ok. Cons: not all all services were available - some bars and restaurants were closed or were open a very limited time. Check-in was tedious, people were forced to queue outside the building for a long time. Customers also had to pay for the parking.

The good:
First time in Naantali spa. We were travelling with our two kids, who thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Theh loved the pool area, which was surprisingly nice for an old Finnish hotel. Water temperature in the outdoor pool was very nice, and indoor was ok though nit on the cold side. The experience was akin to being on a cruise shop - bit shabby but fun.

The bad:
Our room had no aircon. The whole main building has no aircon. We had a hot & sweaty night, waking up really tired. While the room had a ”balcony” it was very strange, an extension of a roof with moss growing on in patches.

The breakfast was worst I’ve ever had in a hotel. Veggies were dry, everything that was prepared had a strange sour taste, like old grease. I couldn’t finish my portion.

The cost of the room vs. what you get is so ridiculously out of sync it’s allost

Mixed feelings on overall experience

Hotel is located in a nice area of Naantali next to the water. My main disappointment was that the comfort rooms do not have an air conditioning inside although some renovations occurred at some point and it was rather hot inside; a small fan in the room did not make any improvements when temperature inside is over 27deg. Although the rooms doesn’t come cheap, still certain services had to be paid for such as the use of the tennis court and some games inside the kids games room. Spa area is nice and spacious. Breakfast food was good and a variety of restaurants on site provide a good choice for dining.

Good place to spend Christmas

We stayed at Naantali Spa Hotel Residence during Christmas 2018. It was overall good. Families with children should be aware that Residence is not in the same building as the pool and main hotel area. This a bit challanging in winter. The hotel service is ok. We complained about a specific smell in the room, due to heating probably, and they kindly upgraded us to suit. It is nice hotel to spend Christmas, peaceful and good spirit. Pool area is not very suitable for small kids, no shallow pool, but we enjoyed with a 3 year old still. The water temperature could be warner though. Naantali is a very nice town, especially during summer and its very good that hotel is just walking distance. Thank you, we may repeat this but this time at the main building, not residence 😊.

Needs investment, particularly in air con!

The hotel advertises air con but sleeping in a vest with no covers I found myself too warm, we asked reception and they said they'd ask building maintenance to turn the temperature down. There was no appreciable difference.
We went onto our balcony in the evening as the room was too hot.
Mopeds and trial bikes were nipping around the lake at the back of the hotel (where our room was) at 11.30pm (clearly not the hotel's fault per se, but hardly peaceful!).
We were eaten alive by mosquitoes and called it a night after 15 minutes. Sunset was nice though!
The bathroom and wooden furniture in the room must be 30 years old, and whilst quite well maintained there are watermarks and surfaces are worn.
So, a lousy night of sweaty sleep!
Breakfast wasn't great, felt like a scrum and bits kept running out. It wasn't obvious if you seated yourself or signed in. Somehow I didn't fancy much of the food.
Shower was hot and pressure good, even on the 4th floor.
Didn't try out the pool or spa, the walk to Moomin World is about 20 mins and pleasant.
It just wasn't a 5* experience, certainly for the price we paid.

Stay ruined by flooded bathroom & poor staff

What would have otherwise been an excellent stay, was ruined by a flooded bathroom floor after each shower. After the first time that the drain in the shower did not drain fast enough to keep from flooding the rest of the bathroom floor with a 1/2 inch of water that would not drain back to the shower drain, we called the front desk and reported the problem. The front desk sent two ladies up right away, but they merely used squeegees to push the water from in front of the vanity into the drain in the shower, then cleaned the area. We told them that maintenance should come up and fix the problem but they insisted we try it again, and if it flooded again, they would get ahold of maintenance. After the second shower, same results, vanity area of bathroom flooded with about 1/2 inch of water. Called the front desk for the second time, they sent up the ladies to clean up and said they would get a hold of maintenance to fix the problem. We were out of our room most of the day and evening, and did not see any note concerning whether or not maintenance had been there to fix the problem with the slow draining shower drain. The next morning when we took a shower...again the bathroom flooded...obviously the maintenance people did not come and fix the problem and when we checked out the clerk said there wasn't any note about a problem. Unacceptable service by the hotel staff. Did not expect this type of service, especially from a hotel this expensive.

Comfortable hotel

The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to Naantali town. We stayed in double deluxe room, which had been refurbished in 2012. Last time, in 2015 we stayed in normal double room, which is in serious need of updating to these days standards.
Generally the hotel lobby would benefit of having an refurbishment and some new sofas and tables.
It was very disappointing that as hotel customer we needed to pay for the parking.
The breakfast is OK, very busy and there are queues to get the food if going around 9.00.
We had a dinner in Le Soleil restaurant and the food and service were great!
The spa is OK, it just looks bit old and would benefit of overall refurbishment. I found it surprising that there were nothing for children to play as the hotel is full of families at summer time due to Moomin land near by.
The quality of the masseuse (Indian Head Massage) and also the podiatry were fantastic! I can totally recommend the treatments.

Wonderful stay

We only stayed one night and we wished we stayed a few more. We took the trail into the beachside city and it was a wonderful walk. The city shops weren't all open but we were not there for the summer holiday, I heard it gets a little livelier then. The hotel was comfy and had everything we needed. The kids and I both enjoyed the pool/sauna area .

Luxurious spa hotel in a very good setting. Spa facilities were excellent, and deluxe room was excellent. Hotel staff very welcoming and helpful, and restaurant waiters very knowledgable about wines. Only downside was the need to use our room towels in the spa, as extra towels are not routinely provided.

Hotelli on jo aika iäkäs ja se näkyy monessa paikkaa. Huoneita ja yleisiä tiloja on toki remontoitu, eli ei hotelli nyt aivan alkuperäisessä kunnossa ole, mutta yleisfiilis on aika vanha. Talossa on kylmät ikkunat ja kehno ilmanvaihto jne..

Palvelu on vaihtelevaa, mutta yleisesti ottaen se on tympeää ja kyllästynyttä. Ilmeisesti kaikessa koitetaan säästää ja henkilökuntaa on ohjeistettu ohjaamaan yleisöä sen mukaan.

Kylpylä on huonossa kunnossa, vanha ja kylmä. Saunassa valot rikki ja koko paikassa vain yksi vessa.

Vierailimme täällä uudenvuoden aattona, joten ruuhkaa riitti. Pieni lomamme oli kaikesta huolimatta onnistunut ja lapset tykkäsivät.

Maybe not for little ones

We stayed for the weekend with 1,5 yrs old child. Hotel was quite ok but things related to child we weren't satisfied. The hotel wasn't very child friendly, except for the playroom. Travel crib with the mattress was bad, nothing in the spa locking room or shower area to help you with child (chair for example), only one microwave in 3rd floor for public use. Also no little pools for children in spa.

Breakfast was great, room was clean, staff were nice. Big thumbs up for the playroom.

There was no room cleaning provided during our entire stay, and no vacuum cleaner was available for us to use ourselves.

The pool appeared to be used as a kind of rehabilitation facility for elderly guests, some of whom were notably rude and easily agitated around children.

Overall, the atmosphere felt more like an institution than a relaxing spa resort

Hotellet ligger väldigt fint vid vattnet med fina omgivningar o endast promenadavstånd från gamla staden o Muminlandet. Vårt rum var dåligt städat men i övrigt var vi väldigt nöjda med frukost, poolerna o spa. Stort o lyxigt hotell, poolerna o spa var verkligen höjdpunkten som ingår i vistelsen. Finns gott om restauranger o ngt att göra för alla. Finns minitåg/tufftuff tåget man kan åka från hotellet perfekt om man inte orkar promenera. Lekrum, minigolf mm. Vi är nöjda!

Gut für kurze Aufenthalte
An für sich ein gutes Hotel, nur etwas älteres Mobiliar, welches modernisiert werden könnte in den Zimmern. Der Spa Bereich ist sehr einfach gehalten und zur Ruhe kommt man auch nicht mit den vielen Kindern im Pool oder in der Sauna.
Das Restaurant im Hotel ist gut aber sehr teuer.

Besvikelse på Naantali Spa – lever inte upp till f

Min vistelse på Naantali Spa levde tyvärr inte upp till förväntningarna, särskilt med tanke på det höga priset. Hotellet ger ett tydligt intryck av att vara föråldrat – inredningen känns gammal och sliten, vilket märks särskilt i frukostmatsalen där både stolar och bord hade tydligt slitage.

Frukosten i sig var en besvikelse: torr, enkel och ganska tråkig. Inget som stack ut eller kändes fräscht – snarare som något man hade förväntat sig på ett enklare hotell.

Det största problemet var dock servicenivån. Personalen upplevdes som okunnig och oengagerad, och det fanns ingen känsla för att man som gäst faktiskt betalat en premium för att bo där. Den professionella servicen och värmen som man kan förvänta sig på ett spa-hotell av den här klassen saknades helt.

Sammanfattningsvis känns Naantali Spa tyvärr som ett hotell som levt på gamla meriter – och det märks. Här behövs både en rejäl uppfräschning och ett tydligare fokus på gästupplevelse för att motsvara de förväntningar som följer med prislappen.

Ein schönes Hotel mit Steigerungspotential.

Hotel von aussen toll. Schöne Anlage. Lage sehr gut. Parkplätze sehr gut. 15 Euro für einen Aussenparkplatz pro Nacht teuer. Lobby sehr schön. Freundliches Personal. Thai Restaurant können wir leider nicht beurteilen, da es die ganze Woche geschlossen war. Hätte uns aber sehr gereizt. Restaurant schön, sehr freundlicher Service, Karte etwas mager und die Zubereitung der Speisen kein Highlight. Preise absolut in Ordnung. Frühstücksraum sehr schön mit Aussicht zum Meer. Sehr feines reichhaltiges Buffet. Der Kaffee war ein scheusslicher Pulver Kaffe aus der Maschine. Das Café bei der Lobby sehr schön. Allerdings müsste nicht jedes Glace lactosefrei oder vegan sein. Ich habe keine Probleme mit Lactose. Aber es ist mir aufgefallen wie vorbildlich dieses Thema der Allergien, im Hotel berücksichtigt wird. Nun zu den Zimmer. Die Zimmer entsprechen keinem 5 Sterne Haus. Die müssten dringend renoviert werden. Die Badezimmertüre von innen scheusslich. Beim Duschen gibt es im Bad / WC eine kleine Überschwemmung. In der Dusche hat es Schimmel. Minibar war vorhanden, aber warm. Entweder defekt oder nicht eingesteckt. Betten sind in die Jahre gekommen (weich ). TV hatte vielleicht maximal 10 Sender. Was ich auch scheusslich finde ist, wenn man sich ekelt eine TV Fernbedienung zu berühren. Der Wellness Bereich und die Shopping & Beauty Läden sahen schön aus, hatten wir aber nicht benutzt. ( Shopping infolge Feiertag geschlossen )

Perhematka keskellä viikkoa

Hotellissa oli saapuessamme hiljaista ja myös mennessämme aikaisin iltapäivällä kylpylään siellä vallitsi rauhallinen ilmapiiri ja kylpylän tilat oli ilmeisesti juurikin siivottu. Oli todella rentouttava käynti. Myös huoneemme oli siisti niinkuin aina on ollut. Illalliselle ei ollut auki kuin yksi ravintola. Aamupala oli minulle ok, mutta parikymppiselle maailman matkaajalle \"vanhanaikainen Suomi-aamupala\". Yritin puolustella tämän ajankohdan asiakaskunnalla.

Kokonaisuus ihan ok. Residence huone tarpeeksi iso ja mukavat näkymät merelle. Palveluja ei ole mitoitettu ruuhka-aikoihin. Hoitoja ei saanut, eikä pöytävarauksia. Onneksi saimme annokset Tammiravintolasta mukaan huoneeseen. Pisteet ystävälliselle tarjoilijatytölle, joka tästä mahdollisuudesta kertoi. Tammikuussa kun Naantalissa on moni paikka suljettu. Kylpylässä ei päässyt ainoihin lämpimiin altaisiin, porealtaisiin, sillä lapsiperheet ja drinksujen juovat olivat valloittaneet ne, eivätkä he poistuneet sieltä. Isoissa altaissa oli tilaa, kun vesi viileähköä.

Yöllä oli meluisaa. Viereisistä huoneista kuului pölinää ja ovia paukuteltiin vielä yli puolen yön.

Tyyny oli liian pehmeä eikä vaihtoehtona kiinteämpää versiota.

Ravintola Le Soleil buffet suuri pettymys. Osa ruoista loppu ja vaihtoehtoja hintaan nähden todella surkeasti.

Hyvät puitteet ja aamupala, mutta erittäin nuiva palvelu kaikissa asiakaspalvelutilanteissa. Allasravintola meni kiinni 1,5 h ilmoitettua aiemmin, mutta ruokalistat oli jätetty pöytiin. Henkilökunta ei mitenkään pahoitellut tai ehdottamut vaihtoehtoja ruokailuun.

Sekä huoneen että yleisten tilojen siisteydessä toivomisen varaa. Huone melko kulahtanut ja vanhahtava. Tyynyt kuluneet ja paljon käytetyt. Kylpylätilojen siisteys alhaista tasoa. Aamiainen todella runsas ja monipuolinen. Hierontapalvelut hyvät, jalkahoitaja kovassa flunssassa-teki hoidosta hieman epämiellyttävän.

Selitykset: ei ole juuri tämän ravintolan valikoimissa, ei ole avattua pulloa.
Aulan kahvilasta kehotettiin kyynärsauvojen kanssa liikkuvaa miestäni ostamaan itse yläkerran ravintolasta lasillinen jälkiruokaviiniä. Surkeaa asiakaspalvelua ja vielä surkeampi asenne.

Valitettavasti ylimainostettu kohde johtuen isosti,että huoneissa yöllä 25 astetta lämmintä vaikka ikkunat auki ja tuuletin pyörii. Henkilökunta kylpylän puolella loistavaa,mutta vastaanotossa näkyy ,että ei kiinnosta työ ja asiakkaat yhtä lukuunottamatta. Ollut joskus huippukohde ja nyt aika ajanut ohi ja lisäksi mainostetaan seisovaa pöytää päivällä mikä runsas niin aulassa keitto sekä salaatti niin joutuimetsimään ruokapaikan muualta.

Hyvä parisänky, ei kuulunut häiriöääniä

Olisimme kaivanneet ilmastointia.

Kiva lasten leikkipaikka kerroksessa.

Hotelliin on käytännössä tultava autolla. Olisin olettanut, että yöpymiseen olisi sisältynyt ilmainen pysäköinti.

Hotellin yleisilme on vähän nuhjuinen ja vanhahtava.

Hyvä Thai-ravintola.

Olin maksanut huoneen etukäteen. Siitä huolimatta huone yritettiin laskuttaa saapuessamme uudelleen.

Suurin osa henkilökunnasta oli melko nuoria, mutta homma toimi ihan kivasti siitäkin huolimatta. Vanhemmat henkilökunnan jäsenet vaikuttivat hieman kyllästyneemmiltä valitettavasti.
Huone ihan ok mutta ilmanvaihtoa huonessa ei ollut minkäänlaista, tukala yö oli kolmisteen.
Jännä että siivoojat laittavat kolmannelle vuoteen valmiiksi, mutta kolmannen henkilön kylpytakki, tossut ja pyyhe pitää kantaa itse respasta ylös asti vaikka siivooja voisi ne laittaa huoneeseen valmiiksi.
Buffetruokailu muuten hyvä mutta pääruokien osalta erittäin huono, niitä pitäisi täyttää ja ehkä kannattaisi myös miettiä että minkälaiset ruoat kestävät lämpösäilytystä.

ムーミンワールドで遊んでからの宿泊だったので、一寝入りしたらスパの利用時間がすぎてしまって、翌朝サウナとスパを利用しましたが、疲れていても夜来るべきだった！と思いました。
サウナもスパもとても広くて綺麗で、朝からのんびり癒されました。
できれば連泊してのんびりしたかったです。
ナーンタリ、また来たいです。その時はまた利用させていただきます。

Något bedagat och slitet

Maten sisådär, ingen smak. Frukosten tråkig, saknade riktiga pannkakor, fler pålägg, dessertostar, ost som smakar.

Matsalen liknade mer en skolmatsal. Mycket ljud och barnfamiljer med småbarn.

Samma vin och tillbehör på alla restauranger. Vinlistan fem år gammal, fanns inte det vin vi ville ha, inte heller det andra valet. Buffén inte värt priset, som en skolkantin.

Omodern inredning, tomma stökiga lokaler i anläggningen, bortglömda delar, bedagat.

Kallt i bassänger. Stökigt med mycket ljud. Inget ställe om man vill koppla av och ta det lugnt. Det städades inte i på spaavdelningens stolar och solstolar efter varje dag. Allt stod lika som dagen innan utomhus. Smutsiga bord.

Hotellista on mukava merenrantapolku Naantalin satamaan. Sataman vastapäätä olevaa Kultarannan juhannuskokkoa ei tänä vuonna ollut, koska Presidentin kesäasunto on remontissa.
Naantalin satama rantaravintoloineen ja lähellä olevine vanhoine ja kunnostettuine rakennuksineen on aina uudelleenkin upeata nähtävää taustanaan kirkko ja puisto.
Hotelli ja sen eteisaula ovat erittäin hyvin suunniteltuja, rakennus on kaikkea muuta kuin tavanomainen 'laatikko'.
Huoneet ovat normaaleja, siistejä ja hyvässä kunnossa. Kahvin/teen keittomahdollisuutta kaipasimme. Meidän huoneessamme ei ollut mitään suojaa suihkun vieressä, joten koko vessan lattia kastui suihkuttaessa.
Jostain syystä ilmastointi oli aamulla hyvin pienellä tai kokonaan pois päältä. Onneksi isot ikkunat voi avata ja tuulettaa huonetta sitä kautta.
Monipuolisia kylpyläpalveluja emme tällä kertaa käyttäneet. Aamiainen oli normaali. Pysäköinti maksaa 15 Eur/vrk.

Naantali Spa was a very pleasant visit for us. The spa itself was large and had something for everyone.

A surprize when we checked in was that we were accommodated in another building than the main building on about 150m walking distance. However, the room was great and we enjoyed our stay and the walks did not cause any problem.

Check-in was handled by a newly employed person and that was the only thing that did not go smoothly during this stay. We were about to get charged for a already paid room even though we told that we had already paid. Neither did we get any apology, introduction of where to find services nor welcoming words. But we quickly forgot about this experience and enjoyed our stay.

Restaurants were fully booked when we checked in, but that did not bother since there are many other restaurants nearby.

Oltmiin tyytyväisiä hotelliin. Uni ma it-toiminnot

Laitettiin vene kuntoon ja vesille, ei ehditty hotellissa käyttää mitään palveluja. Käytiin suihkussa , nukkumassa ja aamupalalla.

Siihen nähden hinta olisi voinut olla halvempi!
