Great overnight stay

The front desk staff services provided very professional and great. the Sheraton was a perfect location close to airport and also close to one of the biggest shopping mall in the area SM. Rooms are perfectly clean and amazing breakfast selection.

The wall beside the toilet was not clean. There seemed to be somethings on the wall. But everything else was just nice including the staff. They were wonderful.

Xiamen business stay

Decent size room, adequate bathroom and fairly good breakfast spread although the breakfast location requires a bit of walking to get some of everything. Why the toast is on the opposite of the lobby to the eggs is beyond me. Decent internet connection with built in VPN.
Walking distance to shopping mall with decent restaurants is added bonus.

Overall, the hotel is nice to stay. Room & bed is comfortable.

However, the hotel staff told me that I cannot earn SPG points for my stay if I booked my room via Expedia.

Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Quite, big room with everything you need. Clean towel, but one time after they cleaned the room, one of the new pillow cases was dirty. Lots of eateries and some fruits stores nearby. 15 mins taxi to the airport, 20 mins taxi to the pier to Gulangyu. Recommended.

Nice Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Rooms are nice, their breakfast is elobrate. I like this Sheraton than any other property I have stayed. Also this place is very close to Indian restaurant- Indiano Jones- only Indian restaurant in town. Overall a very nice hotel.

Great hotel, terrific breakfast, would highly recommend. However when we arrived the hotel had no record of our Hotels.com reservation so had to pay again. calls to Hotel.com and e-mails went unanswered. Finally day after they found the reservation.

Good beds, good location, and great food!

The hotel is just about 10-12 minute walk to the SM City shopping mall, rated the biggest in Xiamen. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious at a reasonable price. They have a good restaurant serving a great lunch and dinner buffett encompassing both asian and western cuisines.

Good enough hotel, not luxurious but predictable and a good stay. Wish there was a better restaurant in this location - pretty sub-par food options. Do not, I repeat, do not waste your time or money at the steak house. No bueno.

Nice hotel, but internet is not free

Second time to stay in this hotel. Room is very nice and clean, people at reception are friendly and speak English very well. The only complaint is internet is not free. This is the only hotel in China I've stayed so far that charged for internet, everywhere else is free! Hotel is very close to the airport which is a great plus.

Always a great place to stay

Well run, very comfortable and clean hotel - something you do not always find in various parts of China. A welcome respite. And Bob, the dining room manager is wonderful. He always remembers us from visit to visit - even though it may be a year in between.

Great Hotel, little inconvenience for the location

Hotel is great for the price. the location is little inconvenience. They have golf cart to take you up and down of the hill but they don't operate when it is raining. Also, breakfast is expensive, almost $30 and the food are just OK for that price.

A very nice hotel and near the airport.

A very attentive staff, one of the problem we encounter is to wait for more than 15 minutes in order to catch up a taxi on one morning. This is why I asked the hotel staff the night before regarding my 7 30 am flight how about the transportation. She told me they can help me to find one within 10 minutes. It realized during my check out around 5 30 am. I was able to get on a taxi within a minute.
I booked a two bed and non smoking room from Expedia, but during checked in, the staff told me what I booked was a single queen or king bed. They told me no more two bed rooms are available. I force to pay additional in order to get a two bed room at club floor but I can enjoy two free breakfast, using the club lounge and complimentary Internet in room. I found out what my additional pay are not value for money, because the food is just ordinary.

Great Hotel in Downtown Xiamen

Stay was great and very safe.... near the SM mall we walked to... but with this difficult economy I am trying to budget and look for more affordable pricing. The Sheraton was a great location Downtown and close to the airport. I did budget for one night there but out of the city was able to find for less then 1/2 the price, of course the comfort level was not as high... I would stay there again of course but on a limited stay. But you think for the price we were paying we could get FREE wifi in the room... had to go to the lobby for that.... and also a FREE breakfast would have been nice, that was definitely pricey...

Nice Hotel with proper service and clean rooms. Exactly what you expect from a Sheraton Hotel.

Unfortunately there are no sights, proper restaurants, bars etc. close to the hotel. So either take a taxi or stick to the inhouse restaurants - which are quite good by the way.
A lot of Taxi-drivers refuse to drive you to the hotel from the city centre during rush hour due to the massive jam in the area around the hotel.

An oasis in Xiamen when \"Lost On Planet China\"

The Sheraton Xiamen is a truly wonderful hotel located in a smaller Chinese city in a relatively undeveloped area of the country. When working in Fujian province, this hotel is a true oasis in the desert. Highly recommended.

Western Comfort and Quality in Xiamen

The Sheraton in Xiamen is a welcome change for all road warriors looking for accomodations well above traditional Chinese standards. I spend about 50 nights a year in China - the Sheraton will be my default hotel choice for Xiamen from now on.
