Hilton Xiamen is inside a high end shopping mall Paragon. The city center location is convenient to travel different places. However, it’s more for business travelers. It’s still about 6 kilometers to the tourist district. Tourists may want to check out hotels south of here.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, shower was hot and strong. Everything was provided. Breakfast was nice and served food meets east and west. 24 hours gym, an outdoor pool etc.

I was impressed most with the staff who were very helpful, including room cleaning, counter, and concierge Jason who went above and beyond helping me with getting around the town using public transportation.

It’s a great hotel and great service.

This property is in a big shopping mall where there are a lot of luxury brands like Gucci, MCM, Vivien Westwood, and some local high end clothing. there is also hair dressers, coffee, tea and souvenir shops. I enjoy the most is the dinning options they have.
The cleaning was acceptable, but the house keeper forgot to stock toilet paper and not enough towels were provided. Hotel reception was not enthusiastic to help, if the guest insist, some of them may help.
Hotel facilities are average and dated. shower pressure is good, hot water is 24 hrs. Power point for hair dryer was not working, they wasn't able to repair during my stay. Hair dryer is average. tea bags, coffee bags are only soso. paid RMB 800/night for 5 nights, I think for the location and safety, it worths it. across the road 4 star hotel cost only half of the price but room is smaller. overall a good experience, I may stay again, but I may book in advance, probably will get a better deal.

My family stayed at the Hilton in Xiamen for a relaxing holiday. We chose this location because it was a western hotel also because of the pool. Unfortunately a few incidents can make a hotel stay unpleasant despite the nice facilities. One evening we went to the pool and were told by the staff that our swimwear was not appropriate for the pool. We were wearing western style board shorts. We were very frustrated with the language barrier and being told to change. We went back to the room and called the manager. Apparently earlier another customer complained because these were not customary swimwear in pools. Other people were wearing similar swimwear at the time. The manager's solution was for us to wear the speedo type swimwear that they sold at the desk. Other customers were not wearing this swimwear. We felt singled out and annoyed. The management was not helpful with a resolution.

Great location, very convenient to get around. Service is as good as what you will expected to get from Hilton. This property was rebranded from Crowne plaza to Hilton, facilities and decoration might be a bit outdated already. And toiletries are Crabtree & Evelyn which normally adopted by Doubletree. Despite of those, still a good choice if you want to stay in this area.

It was too loud. I could hear cars beeping all night.
The first night for no given reason and with no notice the room service kitchen closed at 10.
The third night room service was open but of the entire menu they only had Caesar Salad or Spaghetti. And the spaghetti was cold and bland.

City centre location, hotel and huge mall complex together. Variety of food options. Service was outstanding, comfortable cozy big rooms.

They help organize tours on this hotel needs to rethink and choose better partners. I was shown rate of 258 RMB in the night but next day guide told I have to pay additional 198 and the tour cost will go up to 456 RMB. I opted not to go as it felt more like cheating. Again no fault of the hotel. Excellent hotel will stay again.

One word to describe rooms and dining room: Dingy. While this has all the makings of a really good 4-5 star property, it need a major refresh

The carpet in my room was just nasty. The best way to desribe the dining room (I ate one dinner and breakfast there), is that the food looks like it was prepared 3 days ago-eat at your risk. Definitely would not return or recommend

I checked in late and was told that they had to put me in a smoking room because the only non-smoking room had very strong Chinese medicine odor. Even though the room was supposed to have been deodorized, it still smelt like smoke. Not much I could do as my son and I had just flown in from Japan and it was after 11 pm. Overall hotel condition is so so and not the best upkept.

The Crowne plaza was a nice hotel, very beautiful and very friendly staff.
Only problem I had was a language barrier with some staff but they were always whiling to try and help.
The buffet breakfast was always amazing with many many choices of meals.

Great Business hotel.

If you travel to china you know breakfast can be a problem for Americans and Asians. Living in the Philippines i have gotten used to rice, eggs, bacon, etc. This hotel will give you what you want even thought breakfast is included in the room. The staff is so kind to help. I am 65 years old and dont' like odd food. I recommend this place after many hotel stays. The location is good also. Hoping this helps all.

Worst staying in last 7 years

Restaurant staffs did not understand what they served even if the thing was pointed out.
There was Strawberry jam with label but it looked and tasted Cranberry jam. I firstly asked someone of staffs to bring Strawberry jam but they kept saying the one with label is what I wanted. I did ask same thing to their manager but his answer was unfortunately the same so I couldn't get what I wanted. Coffee or tea serving right after having table also didn't work for me even if waitress asked me. She just forgot what she asked in a last minute.
Besides, I ordered the laundry service in the morning but it was very hard for me to receive it. Guest service gave me the terrible service and they made me very upset.
The reception of hotel was still fine but the basic service of hotel were very unprofessional.
All these happened in just 2 days and these were really disappointed.

Older hotel in good location, decent service

My first night was very uncomfortable. I got a room right next to the elevator lobby, it was the only nonsmoking room available when I checked in. Ends up it was also an accessible unit with grab bars, the bathroom was awkward to use and in poor condition. I could hear everything from the lobby and corridor, as well as the occupants in the adjacent room talking. The next morning I asked front desk to change rooms and they rectified the situation immediately moving me to a club room. Overall the finishes are a little worn, the bed isn't the most comfortable and the sound isolation is poor for 5 star accommodations. Xiamen was the last leg of my China business trip and I had in stayed in better hotels with excellent service up until then. This is also my 3rd visit to Xiamen having tried other hotels previously that were also just okay. For Xiamen this hotel is decent. The hotel grounds are nice, there are several convenient dining options nearby, service was good although I didn't find the front desk warm and friendly. I would stay here again but not without searching further for better accommodations in Xiamen.

Excellent service! Front desk, Vincent, offered late check out time which is so appreciated as we checked in at 2:30 am due to a delayed flight. Hotel was comfortable and very clean, bed was comfy and sheets were crisp. Hotel is attached to a Paragon Mall, with high end stores, verry classy! Rex and team were great, helping us with check out and directions. Wifi was outstanding with no restrictions! Will definitely recommend!

They want us to pay 180-250yuan for that service. To think that i booked 3rooms for our stay this year......

We checked in there 2014 and we availed free airport transfer then.

Great Hotel but lots of construction going on

Hotel service and accommodation is truly a 5 starts. To their disadvantage they have lots of construction going-on near the Lobby and main areas. Although is necessary is nevertheless an inconvenience with the dust and the noise. Specially on Saturdays & Sundays when some people just want to relax a bit.
The Neighborhood is busy and congested with traffic. No necessarily close (by walk distance) to any good restaurants and/or parks.

Clean, Food, and location!!!

The breakfast is amazing. A mix of western and Chinese cuisine. The room is spacious. The workout room and pool are very adequate. The staff was very helpful. The management speaks pretty good English while most of the other staff struggles (but tries very hard). The restaurants connected to the Paragon Mall are amazing!!! (Spoon II, Greek Restaurant and Japanese Restaurant) No one in the restaurant speaks English but the food is incredible. Very clean and very nice! It is located exactly center in the island of Xiamen making it about a 15-20 minute drive to anything.

We had a great stay in a comfortable room. Hotel staff was very attentive, breakfast was decent from a westerners point of view (although the chef wasn't too great at making eggs). The dining area is very nice and modern. When i had trouble getting on the internet the woman at the front desk accompanied me to the business center to log onto their network. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is centrally located, which is great. I gave that category 4 stars instead of 5 only because it wasn't that close to where I needed to be. The hotel was incredibly helpful in helping me find that location (which I couldn't find on a map) and writing it in Chinese so I could show the cab driver. In general, a great experience!

Just book it; it's more than great.

A review is easy to write here. The Crowne Plaza Paragon Xiamen is a 5 star hotel which does what is says on the tin. And a bit more.

A superb hotel in a location central to almost everything. The expansive public areas delightful and impressive, well serviced with boutique shops and restaurants (clearly a hand selected few).

The rooms are luxurious and well designed. I suspect that an enormous amount of effort has gone into making sure the details are just right. The bed softness is just right. The weight and fabric of the duvet (comforter / doona) is just right. The lighting is just right. The temperature is just right. The overall design features are just right.

And the staff aren't just diligently professional, they are convincingly genuine in their care to make sure you are OK and well looked after.

The height of the bar and the value-for-money offered by the Crowne Plaza Paragon Xiamen, surely must be envied by other hoteliers.

It is a 5 star hotel, but it is only marginally more expensive than far lesser hotels. If you are hand-wringing over your decision, I suggest you just book it and know that you will be delighted with your decision, because that is what happened to me.

Crowne Plaza Xiamen - A business hotel

Located conveniently, one can find many shopping avenues in and around the hotel, Starbucks is located within the Plaza premises making mornings fresh.
The breakfast buffet is to the point and precise while being good to taste.
Comfortable beds and pillows will surely make your nights in xiamen restful.
The pillow menu is a delightful little surprise, i definitely recommend it.
the gym and spa are nice and are East facing so the Sun comes in early in the morning when you are working out, gives a nice view of Xiamen.
I give the hotel an 8.5 on 10 without a doubt. I have stayed here twice now and I would love to stay again.

Be prepared.

Remember to have to bring 1 passport for each room reserved. Staff was not helpful in explaining on why that is the case. I had reserved 2 rooms under 1 name, and they gave me a hard time, demanding I produce 2 passports to register (1 for each room).

Internet is going to cost an arm and a leg.

Very clean hotel, good location, however, getting a Taxi is not very easy.

The Best Beds in China!!!

The staff are all very nice and polite. Construction that was underway last year during our stay was completed. The rooms are phenomenal with the softest \"western\" beds I have ever slept on in a Chinese hotel. Usually beds in Chinese hotels are harder than the floor in the room with less padding than what is under the carpet! But at the Crowne Plaza in Xiamen, the beds are a little touch of American top class hotel bedding - after spending 2 weeks on concrete slab beds in various different cities, the Crowne Plaza in Xiamen is a little piece of heaven for our backs. We love staying at this hotel and always book our rooms here instead of the Marco Polo in Xiamen (also a top class hotel) because of the service and comfort of the hotel. The location may not be as nice for walking in the evenings as the Marco Polo (which has beautiful parks surrounding it), but I will take comfort and a good night's sleep over scenery any day!

A good value for the Singapore market.

This is a clean hotel with good amentities. The room was clean except for the bathroom which has some mold in the bathtub(I have had this in 5 star Marriott Hotel before). The rest of the room was clean. Maintenance of 1 elevator slowed service but I assume that this was only temporary. The hotel is located close to a number of malls and restaurants. A good value for the Singapore market during the airshow when many hotels were sold out.
