All the staff are very helpful and professional. The front desk team—Elaine, Spring, Eve, and Ray—went above and beyond to assist me in resolving issues with cancellation bookings at another hotel. Their support and professionalism were truly outstanding.

I had a very positive experience staying at Pan Pacific Xiamen. The staff were attentive and responsive throughout my stay, and the housekeeping team was both polite and efficient. I was also pleasantly surprised when they decorated my room with birthday decorations and treated me to a slice of birthday cake.

I would like to thank all the staff for making my stay so pleasant and enjoyable.

Bed is very comfortable and the room is very spacious. Bathroom facilities and the bathtub are also a real highlight. The staff are all very hospitable and friendly to assist you with anything. The only slight thing to be desired was a bigger TV as the screen is a bit small if you watched it from the bed, but other than that there’s nothing really to nitpick.

Very good location, last time I stayed the subway was under construction, it’s now only 2 minutes away. Many good eateries in the walking distance, all staff willing to help and always wear a smile. Breakfast is very Chinese and quality just par, nice gym and pool, our 3 nites’ stay was pleasant and very enjoyable.

Nice and clean room. Added some money to get a room on higher floor and sea facing. Breakfast spread was great. Buffet dinner wasn’t fantastic. Very helpful bellboy providing useful informations. House keeping staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Location of hotel is somewhat remote but a stone throw to the jetty for boat ride to Gulanyu island.

Despite the subway construction, I find the hotel clean and quiet. The staff are very helpful, especially the concierge, the bell boys and the staff at breakfast. Arno and the bellboy who has very small build (sorry I missed his name) are very helpful. When we told Arno that we want to take a bus to Nanputou, he explained the direction and ensured us have small changes. He actually went to get us CNY5 in small changes without asking if we can change the note. Fortunately, we had the bank note of CNY5 and gave it to him in return. I actually spent 1 night at Millennium and changed it to Pan Pacific for another 3 nights. I made the right decision.

Although the hotel is bit dated, but everything works great. The service was excellent, from the bellhop, reception, lounge staff and the house keeping, everyone was friendly and courteous. There is a subway construction in front of the hotel and we didn’t hear any noises during our three nights stay; great sound proofing. We really enjoyed our stay and compliment to the management for having such well trained and wonderful staff.

Absolutely outstanding in everyway.
Helpful staff especially Angus, concierge Harry and Jessy in the Pan Pacific Club.
Breakfast caters for all tastes and the fruit bread, pastries and poached egga were fantastic. Room service and cleaning also perfect and the room was amazing with the shower and bath window to room and piped tv sounds.
Walking to the lakes is a few mins walk or run as we did or up into the gardens behind the hotel from just beyond the foot bridge for a serene peaceful dander. First time in China but I love Xiamen and would stay here again if i come back.

We arrived very early in morning thinking to drop luggage until checkin. They suggested upgrade to suite which was ready to go to right away and it gave us Breakfast buffet, Afternoon Tea and Happy Hour with Appetizers. It was great!

Good option for business travel to Xiamen. 1am check-in was no problem, service great throughout. Breakfast buffet was very good with both Western and local options and the Cantonese restaurant dim sum was the best food I had in China. Price was low for 5 star even in China. Only downside was lots of construction in the area right now so getting around was a bit more challenging than usual. Room was still quiet.

First, let's get the not so good out of the way. It is the location. Please do not get me wrong. There are eateries and small supermarkets around. However, compared to the bustling areas around the train station or Zhong Shan road, the surroundings have to pale in comparison. Nonetheless, they are not too bad.

What I like about the hotel is the service staff, especially at the concierge, who are always ready to help with a smile. That does make a big difference to the stay.

A special shout-out to Harry, who is very helpful, courteous and friendly.

Most of the staff at the restaurant are also very approachable.

Overall, the rooms are clean, quiet and well-maintained. The gym is better than most I have been too, and the food at the restaurant is above average. Recommend for families who need a washing machine, a dryer and friendly approachable staff.

The two-bedroom apartment was perfect for a family like ours that needed a home away from home. We had all the amenities needed: full kitchen and washer/dryer. The hotel is well maintained and within walking distance to the Gulangyu ferry terminal. Breakfast is always plentiful and delicious. The staff is thoughtful and very helpful with answering our questions about local attractions. We highly recommend this luxury hotel for families visiting Xiamen for the first time. Make sure to coordinate with the hotel ahead of time for tickets to Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University because these popular attractions require reservations well in advance.

Thanks hotel for the birthday cake! It's just the hotel is a bit tired but totally fine to stay, the carpet at the corner behind the door is a bit dusty, hope that could be improved.

1) Front desk at hotel couldn't confirm my expedia booking while checking in but officer was polite and literally dissolve the confusion.
2) It would be better if the hotel have a queuing system at the check in/out counter. I was jumped queue by others despite I stood and waited beside the counter while the officer attended to another check in/out.

The staff at the Pan Pacific Hotel made our family feel very welcomed and were very personalised with our needs.

from front desk to housekeeping (霞姐) and definitely the Club level staff.

well done to Danny Han and his team! Especially to Melet Wu, who has great candour and never fails to make my parents smile and Sunny for your positive and professional service and also to the restaurant chef at the 3rd floor restaurant, Auntie Willa, who makes the greatest omelette and noodles too and never fails to smile and make conversation even when she is overwhelmed with orders.

strongly recommend travellers who treasure a great personal touch to your holiday needs.

Nice hotel but uncomfortable bedding

We stayed here a night as we had a flight to catch out of Xiamen airport. We stayed at several hotels in Xiamen before and although Pan Pacific is quite nice, the BEDS ARE EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE - very hard. THE PILLOWS WERE FLAT AS PAPER. So although the hotel was nice, we did not get a good night sleep.

Very nice hotel near the 31/87 bus line stops. Subway station is under construction that will be very close to the hotel and very convenient in getting around Xiamen in the future. Check-in was easy and room very nice. Swimming pool was nice (take a swim cap).

Hotel is situated at quite a convenient location. Distance To Zhongshan Road is about 10mins ride and grabbing a cab is also convenient. There are a few supermarkets which are situated just beside the hotel.

The only thing that can be improved is the pillows which are too soft.

Bathroom layout was not good. You have to go around the shower stall to get into the bathtub. Water not draining in the shower stall and the water flowed into the bathroom floor because the enclosed shower step was not high enough. The whole bathroom floor was flooded and I had to get extra towels to soak the water. It was late at night so I just cleaned up myself and we were leaving the next early morning. The bathroom door was in the way of the toilet. The tile need to be bleached. The breakfast was OK. Location was great.

In front of the hotel currently they are building the mrt, is a bit difficult to get a taxi, but the staff will help you to book taxi when call upon. The are only a few shop surrounding the hotel. So shopping and dinning you might need to take a cab out.

Hotel needs to check conditions of rooms for use

Nice hotel but disappointed with the foul n damp smell in the room which we were being upgraded to. Wasted much time moving from room to room.
Club services offered happy hours from 5-7 pm, thought this was not appropriate bec normally guests drink after dinner. Also when we were in the lounge at 8 pm, no snacks were seen - all kept with preparation for breakfast the next day!
Paying extra RMB 175 per night was a waste!
Service at counter was ok n staff was prompt to offer help.

Overall, great gym, swimming pool, breakfast , service staff and room. A new subway line will be built in the vicinity, close to harbour to Gulangyu. Not many choices for food nearby but within 10 minutes from Zhongshan street. The only bad thing from our stay are the pillows, which are toooooo flat, even for 2 pillows.

About day 7 of a 10 day stay, they started putting an odor in the lobby air system that I don't like. I've smelled it before at the Aqua Caliente Hotel in Palm Springs. It is an overpowering deodorant smell and is easily overused...a little goes a LONG LONG LONG way.

Great Alternative to Marco Polo Hotel

It is great hotel within the same area of Marco Polo. In recent years Marco Polo quality went down. Pan Pacific is great choice. Next year we will stay there.

Upon arrival at hotel, service staff were friendly and helpful.

Although I had earlier requested for a early check in, they were unable to do so as all rooms were occupied.

The front desk staff did mentioned I could pay for early check in which did not make sense if the rooms were all occupied at that point.

Else, everything was great and service was excellent. Thanks to the front desk for being helpful and guiding me as it was my first time in Xiamen.

Great hotel with poor breakfast arrangements

My family of 4 has rented a two bedroom suite and the room is excellent with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The hotel condition is excellent and hotel staffs are very helpful. The only complaint I have is that my room booking was specifically for 4 persons with free breakfast provided, but reception said all rooms only include 2 free breakfasts !! I argued there are no indications whatsoever during the whole booking process that only 2 free breakfast are provided. The site only indicated free breakfasts are provided for the room booking. Also, I am surprised to learn that the breakfast costs RMB 158 per person for very normal breakfast buffet food, a big rip off!
