The hotel is well located within walking proximity to metro, shopping malls, tourist walking street and restaurants. Super convenient!

While the hotel is slightly dated, u can tell its well maintained by the attentive staff.

Note that swimming pool is closed during winter period for maint.

Despite being in operations for more than 30 years, the condition of the hotel and facilities is still well maintained and functional. We especially like the thoughtfulness in providing guests with the free use of the laundromat service (although guests need to purchase/bring their own detergent), good quality toilet paper, toilet amenities, interesting selection of tea in the room, provision of recyclable bags and sturdy bedroom slippers.
Location of the hotel is impeccable as it's just next to the subway and 2 streets away from the central shopping area. There is also a convenience store on the ground floor. The staff manning the concierge were very helpful and patient in attending to guests queries and requests.
If the hotel can improve on the efficiency of the lifts, it will be perfect.

Room was clean. Staff was courteous and always ready to help. Gym is also surprisingly well equipped. The free self-service laundry room was also very helpful if you are going for a long stay (i stayed with my wife and kid for 7 days). The breakfast can be too repetitive though.

The hotel is a bit old but room was clean and of good size. Staff were friendly and courteous. My room was tidied up everyday. There was an outdoor swimming pool but I didn’t get to use it.

The best thing was that there is a subway station entrance a few step away on the left side of the hotel.

Pros: The location is good for 1st timer to Xiamen. Shopping mall just across the road. MRT station underpass entrance right at the side. Zhongshan road pedestrian street is 5mins walk away. Convenient store at hotel level 1. Check-in staff is friendly and all smiley.
Cons: Bed is too hard for me and I can feel the mattress springs. Slightly outdated furnishing.

The location of the hotel is good, with food streets and shopping malls, MRT station is just besides the hotel. We stayed on the 5th floor and the corridors has a strong cigarette smell. Their beds were hard with flat pillows, we have requested for an extra pillow. Services were prompt and staff were polite, except for a gentlemen at the front desk whom need more patience while waiting for their guests to make payment via the Alipay apps.

Best breakfast buffet ever

The hotel staff was wonderful. Breakfast buffet was a feast, consisting of Asian and Western foods. They rotated the dishes every day which meant foods were fresh. The location is excellent; close by were a subway station, eateries and stores. The hotel was also within walking distance to the Zhong San street. The fitness center was a disappointment. Even though the room was spacious, most of the equipment was not functional.

NICE... BUT FAR FROM FABULOUS!

The hotel is located in a fantastic position opposite a couple of banks and next door to a large shopping centre. My room (one of the more expensive ones) was very nice but the furniture was incredibly dated. I have never seen such old furniture although it was clean and kept nicely. My room came with free mini bar and that was not replaced during my entire stay. It was whatever was there to begin with (4 cans of soft drink & 1 beer). The air conditioning did not seem to work that well. The breakfast buffet was lovely and there was a lot to choose from. Service from the staff was very nice. My room was enormous with a lovely view but I do think it was overpriced considering the old, old furniture. At the hotel was nice and in a good position.

The location is great, just exited the last stop on subway line 1. The hotel is a non-smoking but some guests just ignore the rules. Fortunately the cleaning lady Ling Ling was very helpful she brought in an air purifier as well as plug in scents which help to reduced the smell. It is close to the shopping walks and a lot of eateries nearby.

When we arrived the hotel on the evening of 9/20 from a Beijing, we lost a foreign country passport. A hotel staff made a great effort to found it and arranged us to pick it up. We could not imaging the difficulty ahead of us without his above and beyond effort. Other staff were also very friendly during our stay.

good if you are in the newly renovated room.

When we checked in the first day we were admitted into a room with so much construction noise around us. Additionally the hotel was so run down in the bathroom and carpet. We were tired after travelling and would like to get some sleep in the late afternoon. We couldn't. So we requested for a room change and that was great as it was a newly renovated one.

Millennium Harbourview Hotel is very centralised located next to walking streets (malls and restaurants) side gate exit, 100m away. There is a Buddhist Temple - Hongshan Shi right opposite where you can get a full vegetarian meal. Main entrance right exit about 500m walk taking you to the ferry terminal - Gulang Yu. Overall, very satisfied with my stay, room service is excellent, front office crew have been attentive and amazing. Free airport shuttle bus is provided too. Please check the bus schedule at reception. Good spread of dinner buffet, Asian and Western. Return to stay 8/10.

Good hotel in a great location

I really loved the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is great, the side door opens up to the shops, lots of shops and places to eat. After buying a few things I go back to the hotel to drop them and then continue shopping. Carrefour is nearby where we got some items we forgot to bring. The bus stop is also right outside the hotel side door so transportation was accessible. I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Great location next to shopping mall (in my opinion the best in Xiamen) and an easy walk to Zhongsan Lu. Room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was good. Staff were helpful. The terminal for ferry to Gulangyu island is not at the terminal near to the hotel but a bit further which is also within walking distance of about 10 to 15 minutes. (gentle walk)

Nice hotel at a convenient location

The hotel is located at Xiamen pedestrian street near shopping centres, shops and numerous eating places. Room is clean and beds comfortable to sleep in. Hotel staff are helpful and helped to book for tours and entrance tickets, e.g. Yongding Tolou and Gulangyi. Shutter to airport is provided free but hotel breakfast is quite expensive.

I really like my stay with Millenium Harbourview Hotel. The hotel is grand and service is superb. Very friendly staff, helpful in carrying luggage and with a smile. The hotel breakfast buffet comes with lots of variety. Dont miss the 'xiamen noodle'. They have a nice size gym, sauna and steam room. Hotel also comes with free airport shuttle bus seevice. (Varied time slots)

The hotel is strategically located. Very near Zhong San road and lots of shopping areas within walking distance. Food is definitely not a problem. Lots of delicious food just around the corner. Gu Lang Yi island is within easy access. Bus stop is just around the corner.

Staying in this hotel for my vacation made it perfect for enjoyment and relaxation.

Millenium Harbourview hotel is very accessible. It is near Zhong San Lu, a major shopping area. Lots of food delicacies to choose from. Transportation is convenient. Easy access to Gu Lang Yi.
The hotel itself is elegant and rooms are clean. Bed sizes are big and comfortable. Service is superb and personnels are very friendly. It made my vacation with friends more fun and relaxing. Will definitely recommend to friends

Welcoming staff, quick check in and spacious rooms with view. I’m close proximity to shopping area as well as the beach.

Delicious buffet breakfast with Japanese and Chinese cuisine with some western options as well.

For holiday as well as business travellers this hotel offers various services. Concierge was extremely helpful and was able to communicate in English. Free shuttle service to airport was also provided by the hotel.

Overall fine - need some improvements.

Overall it was good. Weird thing is they'll check your identity prior to entering the lift - it's for security reason which is fair enough. But the \"volunteer\" staff should be properly trained to do so (i.e: it takes 5 mins (exaggeration) for typing my five letter first name, etc). When the \"proper staff\" did it, it's so much smoother.
I was staying on 17th floor in a suite room - I think above my room is under renovation. It was quite noisy during noon time. If you plan to have arvo nap, it's not a good idea.

The Millennium is a very nice hotel and it is very centrally located. There is major construction going on in front of it at the moment, which is a shame. My room was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, the gym was decent, and the service was very attentive. I found the pool disappointing -- cool water, and the pool is overlooked by buildings so it's shady and not very intimate. The fridge is unstocked and i didn't find a convenience store nearby. Nevertheless, overall I would recommend this hotel

I stayed at this hotel twice before in 2009 and 2010. There is a big difference between how it was back then and how it is now. Back then the service was great, rooms were up to date. Now everything looks dated, there is no beverage in mini bar, room service consist of three food options, breakfast buffet is not nearly as good as some of the other hotels I stayed at Xiamen. On top of all that there is a huge construction going on in front of the hotel which adds an extra level of inconvenience. The only good thing that is going for them is the location of the hotel. Several things to do within walking distance.

Right next to the trendy part of downtown and close to the pedestrian street (traditional shopping district). Subway construction is making the front street a mess but that will pass. Then there will be a subway station nearby, even better. Was close to the ferry terminal to Gu Lang Yu (the charming garden island in the inlet) but that ferry terminal is reserved to city residents only now, tourists have to use another one that is kind of far and inconvenient, sigh. A word about the boutique hotels on the island: they are nice and full of characters. But the island is pedestrian only, which means you will have to haul your luggage through the alley ways and steps, Venice style but without the canals, if you know what I mean. My recommendation: stay on the Xiamen side, e.g. Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen, check out for a night or two with minimum luggage, check into a boutique hotel on the island, leave the main luggage at the \"base hotel\", then come back. That is, of course, assuming you are in Xiamen for more than a day or two.

Really enjoyed it. When disappointed that their pool was under repair in the heat of Aug and closed the hotel was willing to compensate with free breakfast. They also had a great deal for evening buffet at their restaurant buy 3 get one free which did wonders for a party of 14. Scrumptious breakfast and buffets. convenient to pedestrian street for shopping till 11 pm and to ferry, the main drag of Xiamen. Frendly staff

Nice room - but very small bathroom - difficult to open shower door if bathroom door open. Other than that - comfortable. Best part was the restaurant - Portofino. Delicious Italian food and after eating too many oily Chinese food meals - what a refreshing- delicious dinner. Well worth the small bathroom.

A nice place to stay in Xiamen

Hotel is conveniently located to shopping areas in Xiamen and lots of restaurants/eateries near by. Very near night market and the famous Zhongshan Lu. Buses and taxis are abundant in front of the Hotel. Most of the hotel staffs can communicate in English. Restaurants offer a good variety of breakfast (priced at RMB148 net) suitable for Asian and European taste. Also have Italian and Japanese restaurants. Travel agency to book your tours is just inside hotel. Hotel room is spacious and they offer pillow menu. Complimentary water and coffee/tea making and slippers and toiletries. Bed might be hard for others but it was just right for us. 2 twin beds room can accomodate 2 persons (med size Asians) per bed.

I am pleased with the good and friendly attitude of all staff, starting from the concierge, check-in staff, excellent ladies at Club Room, room cleaners and waitresses.

My only complain is that the Club Room (Executive Room) I had was small when compared with some other 3 star hotels.

Other than that, this is an excellent hotel.
