The room was OK. Quite small and dated but comfortable bed. Dinner was not what we expected. My husband ordered pork lion and parmentier potatoes... He got mash. I ordered turkey and patatas bravas and got oven cooked potato wedges. I asked the waiter about it and he shrugged and cleared the plates. It seemed like everyone else had the same confused look when dinner was served. I saw 3 other tables send their plates back to the kitchen.
Breakfast was similar. Not a great choice and took a long time for the hot breakfast which was only scrambled egg or bacon to be replenished.
On the plus side it's a convenient location for motorway travel and parking was easy.

We stayed on two separate occasions, driving to south Spain and on the return journey. It is on the edge of an industrial area, but does not detract from hotel, lively views looking over yo the church and city. Both occasions very friendly checkin, and quick. Rooms in very good condition and very clean, for us personally, would have preferred queen size bed, but comfortable, as was room once we sorted the AC to COLD. Bar staff helpful and friendly, as were restaurant staff, going south we had the set menu, a choice of 4/5 starters and mains, plus puddings, at 14e90 this was excellent value for money, with a bottle of win at 13e90 it was a win win. On the return journey we opted for the a la carte, again highly recommended, again good value for money snd very tasty. If your heading south from Santander or just touring the area, I would hive this place a try.

Convenient place to stay enroute.

We stayed here on the way to Northern Spain. We wanted to visit Salamanca and have an easy place to stay. Parking was great and easy to get into the city. Salamanca is so beautiful.
The hotel served a purpose for us. It was quite tired looking and we are not used to the smell of smoke inside. However, it was a comfortable nights sleep.

The stay was OK, but every time I had to enter my room I was forced to go to the recepcion and ask the front desk for a new keycard. The key lock was difficult to handle, and there were 2 weddings happening on the 2 nights we stayed there. It limited the offers from the staff (waiter) and we had to wait some time to get noticed. The room was clean, but very small for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids).

We thought the location was great for us as we were travelling through. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. But we were told on checking in that breakfast was included. We checked because we knew our rate was room only. We were told by Cristiano that it was complimentary. However when we checked out we were told we had to pay. Left a nasty taste in the mouth after a lovely stay.

still our first choice

Nice big clean room, comfy bed, clean modern bathroom. Very friendly English speaking staff. Good breakfast, safe inexpensive underground parking. A good position for finding from the motorway and a cheap taxi ride into Salamanca for dinner.

The only thing that let the place down on this occasion was the untidy rear garden and patio area which hadn't been tidied up - quite a lot of rubbish lying everywhere. However it is still our first choice when staying in Salamanca as it's very good value compared with city hotels.

I stay in dozens of hotels a year for business. This is the by far the best ive stayed in to date.
My room was more like a suite than a room. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
Overall the room and food were excellent value for money.
I will be using the hotel again when stopping near Salamanca

We were travelling to Portugal and stopped at this hotel en-route for one night. The hotel was superb. Amazing value for money. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. Way above the standard of a normal travelling stopover. Staff could not be more helpful and all requests were carried out with a smile and a 'no problem'. Stayed for a very brief overnight stay on the way from Santander to southern Spain. Arrived at 11pm and left by 9.30. The room was clean, comfortable, quite luxurious and quiet. Parked free in front of the main entrance although there is secure parking available for an extra charge. The hotel is quite near the motorway so easy to get to and away from without any traffic delays.

You have to visit Salamanca

Good location, excellent reception staff, very good restaurant. We loved Salamanca. Juan Luis at the reception staff provided great guidance for the visit to Salamanca. He told us about the local tourism office and even the unique Sara store in an Old church. The tour hosted by the local tourism office was tremendous. Carmen the tour guide was superb in all respects.

Very clean quiet rooms with good aircon, excellent service from staff, very good breakfast a little late at 7.30, but staff arranged a picknick for early starts. Internet was very good no problems with connections. Restaurant resonable prices servings a little on the small side for the large appitite.
I would stay here again, take a bicycle or taxi its a good walk into town.

We arrived late at the Hotel so we had dinner There. It was very good, especially the noodle version of seafood Paella. We had a connecting room for 4 adults and 2 children which was very convenient and comfortable. The Hotel is situated near the old town, about 10 minutes drive from it. The Hotel receptionist suggested that we should drive up to the old bridge and find free parking around that area, then walk over the bridge to the old town. And it proved to be a great idea, otherwise it would have been very hard to find a parking spot in the old town.

1) The room walls are very thin I had a room with a joining door you can hear everything and I mean everything
2) The set meal was a bit small no veg or salad with it just a hand full of chips and a small piece of fatty beef steak also the soup was cold

If you are looking for a great stop-over, this is a great choice. Conveniently located just off the motorway, this hotel offers a great half-board deal and a warm welcome. They really look after you and go the extra mile to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Great parking and superb value for money catering. You will go along way to find such a great value destination.

This hotel is one of the best hotels we stayed at considering the ridiculously low price.
Only the pickiest visitor would fine fault with this modern, friendly, easy to find hotel.
Lovely good quality green toiletries, huge white bath sheets, large beds with full width pillows, mini bar and fridge. Ours had a wonderful view of the cathedral which was lit up at night. The parking was secure and (d/k why, but it was free for us although there was a notice saying it was 5 euros)
The breakfast was great, too. Good selection of items - hot and cold - all fresh and invitingly displayed.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Possible downside was that this hotel was in the middle of an small industrial estate, quite a fair distance outside of Salamanca with no shops, but perfectly quiet and cosy once inside.

We stayed here for one night as a stop-over on our journey through Spain. The staff, both at reception and in the bar/restaurant were absolutely fantastic, going the extra mile when neessary. The location was great for a stop-over, and although near to a busy road we were not disturbed too much by the noise of passing cars. The restaurant was far better than we had expected, with great food and a plus that the menu of the day is available in the evening as well. To give this hotel 5 stars I would have liked to have (or be offered) a hypo-allergic duvet instead of a feather one, and for the room doors to close more quietly (a couple of bangs early morning woke us, and although we did try to shut the door very quietly, this was impossible). All in all, for a stop-over, I would highly recommend this hotel and especially recommend an evening meal in the restaurant.

clean english speaking reception, have stayed here previously and i can only say that each subsequent stay becomes a little bit worse!!
on this occasion i had to return the main dish at dinner, most of it was stone cold.
breakfast was adequate but once again the standard had been reduced there was a shortage of bread (except for the rock hard variety that felt like it was days old) when i asked i was told sorry we have run out

Used to stay at the Parador in Salamanca but discovered this hotel was almost as good and cheaper. We only use it as an overnight stop on the way to Portugal and it is perfect. Menu unusual but very edible food. Staff courteous. Underground garage parking a skill test but secure. Not much English tv to watch.

Great but far from city and no free parking

Comfortable hotel with tasty breakfast. Front desk people are very kind. The location is not close to the city, so you either have to park your car in a parking area which costs 1 euro per hours or get a cab to the town. The only down is that even being far they don't offer free parking. Other than that the hotel is great.
