Construction in a neighboring lot began at 7am daily. Fortunately for me they just began working on the project and noise was limited to tractors leveling earth. I can’t imagine how noisy it will be when the structure starts going up. Resort has attractive grounds and large rooms but marred by minor cleanliness issues (stains in the bathroom and the blanket smelled a bit musty like mildew). Walkable distance to Central Ubud (10-15 mins) or a ride share bike can be hired.

Beautiful traditional garden grounds. My upstairs room was huge with a fantastic bathroom and tall peaked ceiling. Nice simple breakfast included. And the staff here are wonderful, truly kind and helpful people. I chose this location because it’s in the heart of central Ubud, but in a quieter district, adjacent to the jungles, with some cool restaurants, shopping and event venues very nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

I had stayed here when I first arrived and loved it, but when I returned my room was not cleaned at all, nor was my friends. Her bed had garbage in the bed and dirt all over the floor. My room was also dirty with spit on the mirrors and the bathroom had not been wiped at all, by the toilet it smelled so strongly of urine. I asked it to be cleaned once and then had to ask again as the bathroom had still not been cleaned at all. Was disappointing as the pool outside our room was also very dirty.

The spa was great, the ladies were very accommodating.

Lovely resort, great location, great staff

My family of 3, including a 1-y/o baby had a great experience at De Munut: Balinese-style property is pretty, has two pools, clean, in a great location near the Campuhan Ridge Trail--far enough away from congested central Ubud that it's quiet, but close enough to be an easy walk. Staff were helpful, friendly and many called our son by his name. Made-to-order breakfast was delicious and included in the hotel's very reasonable rates. Spa on property offers good Balinese massage and pedicures. Staff organized a wonderful babysitter for 60k IDR/hour. Overall, a great place to stay.

Location is good. Walkable to Ubud centre and safe. Mosquitos at night in balcony. Room has very strong woody smell coming from the air con which causes my sensitive nose to have sinus. Spider web in the open air shower with many small flying insects and gecko. Towel wasn't prepared in room and I have to go to reception to request for towels since the room phone isn't working at all. Wifi is good. Bed not so comfy. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Spa massage is not too bad. Overall wasn't really a resort and spa standard and quite an old place.

Peaceful retreat

Although this resort is in a bustling area, once inside the gates it is quiet and restful. My room was perfect for a solo traveler; the layout provides great privacy without feeling isolated, and the 24 hour reception is only ever a phone call away. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels and bottled water provided. Breakfast was included but due to a lack of vegan options, I ended up skipping this. But who can really complain when the Bintang supermarket nearby has good granola and non-dairy milks, and the excellent Alchemy raw food cafe is a short walk away? The indoor-outdoor bathroom was very clean and pleasant to use, and the big bathtub was a delight.

Nice setting and pleasant staff

The hotel was in a very nice setting with a nice pool. You could walk into Ubud within 15 minutes. It was nice to be away from the town but still within fairly close proximity.

I loved this hotel. Hotel staffs are very friendly, and are willing to help you in every way possible. Its not located in the middle of Ubud's craziness, yet is close enough to walk or bike. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Bali!

Nice ambience but too steep a hill

It's about a 15 min walk to the central Ubud (Ubud Palace) and there's a steep hill to overcome (approx 30% gradient). Not recommended for elderly and actually unwise to walk on as there are many cars in the narrow roads. Calling a 'taxi' from hotel will cost Rupiah 30,000 per car. Other than that, hotel and staff very pleasant but daily towels given were dirty (stained) and had holes,

The pools were nice and refreshing. The room needed some maintenance but the price was right. Breakfast was a choice of American, continental or Balinese. Night time was a little noisy with the abundant wildlife and, in the early morning, with the dogs, roosters etc. Unfortunately the pavements both sides of the road to Ubud were under maintenance so we couldn't walk into town but taxis were readily available.

Very nice but poor service

The hotel is a little bit hard to find, to say the least. It is also quite far from everything. But the rooms (at least deluxe) are nice and spacious. There are 2 pools, very pleasant and overall the hotel is very quiet so great place to rest and relax. However, huge disapointment in term of the service, it looks like guest are annoynace to the front desk staff.

Our room was big and clean, with the usual outdoor bathroom setup. I'm guessing its fairly new so it's still in good condition. If you're not fussy about service and don't plan to hang out in the hotel very much, go for it (provided you don't pay more than £50 for it! We paid for £37/night and can't complain with that price). Pool is good but it has funny taste. There's kettle but no tea/coffee/sugar/spoon (I'm guessing it's for pot noodle he he), no room service either. Breakfast is very limited (order from a choice of pancake, fried rice or chicken congee), but doesn't taste bad. Location is ok (near Bridges restaurant) and not on busy road, but not in central ubud.

Great place, can't go wrong for the price

De Munut is in a great location off the main road. I see people have mentioned the \"big steep hill\" but seriously, its about 50mtrs long, hardly a trial to get up it!! And at night its lit up and perfectly safe to walk up, I was on my own and felt very safe, drivers in Bali are very aware of pedestrians (contrary to popular belief!). The property is very Balinese style, old colonial, and its great to get off the main road away from the noise. The rooms are large and clean, the bathroom has a massive bath and a lovely partly outdoor shower with cobblestones, really pretty. The staff are smiley and helpful and it has an inhouse beauty spa which I put to good use! The pool area is a little 'tired' but honestly, this is a fantastic place for the price, very cheap I thought! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, there's not much I could fault. Its close enough to walk into main area for food and shops but far enough away to be away from it all. There are also little warungs around the corner, really cheap (my dinner was $3 and yummy) but for that price, its quite basic but good food. Really close to Bridges Restaurant which is fantastic, beautiful food and wonderful service. Also do the Bali Eco Cycling tour, its very worth it.

Great location, close to city centre and surrounded by plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Hired a scooter just around the corner for cheaper than the hotel. It was great to get around and was also close to UBUD FITNESS CENTRE gym which was wonderful for exercise. Staff were pleasant. Wi-Fi crashed a couple of times but not uncommon in Bali. Laundry service was done within a day and very nice. Massages were good but would recommend going to EVE massage parlour around the corner down the street (Google map the location). Wonderful stay for 2 1/2 weeks.

More towels would be nice, but that may be an American expectation.
Out of the town, sort of, but close enough. But we don't mind walking.
Taxis at bottom of hill.
Right behind Museum Blanco.
Good brkfast, Dk. coffee, tea, special requests for variations, condiments seem to be OK.
Beautiful, Clean, 2 pools w/Kid Pool sections.
Outdoor bathrooms were cool.
Freindly, helpful staff. Easy to deal with.
Good WiFi coverage in room.

Quiet place away from the centre

Nice and quiet place little bit away from the busy Ubud centre, but still with a short walk to the sights and restaurants.
Nice bed, beautiful half-open bathroom with a tub, a big room, own terrace, and a good ac made the stay very well worth the price.
You won’t hear too much noice from the streets. Decent breakfast. Nice pool area.

우붓 속의 우붓

숙소에만 있어도 힐링이 되는 그런곳이었습니다. 햇빛 속에 비와 어둠에도 묻히지 않는 자연 그대로의 우붓을 느낄 수 있는 그런 숙소였습니다. 삼박을 하면서 먹은 조식(제이플토스트, 스크래블에그와 미고랭 짱ㅋ)은 정말 맛있었고 프리 커피와 우유도 너무 좋았습니다. 너무도 친절한 크루들 덕분에 환전사기당한 것도 해결할 수 있었고 정원에서 갓 따온 잭 프룻도 맛볼 수 있어서 정말 감사했습니다. 유튜브와 넷플릭스(개인아이디)도 시청가능하고 따뜻한 물이 콸콸 나오는 실외 욕조와 샤워시설도 색다른 경험이었습니다. 조용한 분위기에 잘 쉬다 왔습니다. 다시 간다면 두개나 있는 수영장에서 꼭 수영을 해보고 싶네요. 마주칠때마다 웃어주신 어르신크루도 잊지 못할거에요^^

Malgré que le staff est extrêmement gentil, serviable et souriant l’établissement laisse à désirer, il lui faut un très grand rafraîchissement !
Ubud est une ville très humide en générale mais l’humidité dans les chambres est extrême, nous avons changé de chambre 3 fois !
Mais encore une fois l’accueil et le sourire du staff nous a fait tenir les 4 jours ( 3 nuitées ).

Rigtigt hyggelige bungalows/værelse.
Fik værelse på 1.sal med stor terrasse og udsigt. Stort dejligt værelse i Bali-stil. Hotellet er som en kæmpe have som bliver passet og ordnet hver dag. 2 mindre men dejlig rene pools. Morgenmaden er sparsomt udvalg men smager godt.
Ligger på en gade med masser af gode restauranter.

定価からのディスカウントがとても大きかったので期待しましたが、ディスカウント価格程度のホテルです。ホテル自体はとても快適です。サービスも良好。ホテルの周囲にはレストランもほんの少しです。市街地には送迎が必要。地図にない小さなWarungが近くにありましたが、そこのナシゴレンは絶品かつ安かったです。

ヨガ修行　初ウブドにてヨガスタジオ巡りの旅

前回までウブドの南方面と東方面に宿を取ってましたが、今回はウブド宮殿の西側のプヌスタナン地区に宿を陣取りました。　宿泊予約の動機は、評判が高いヨガスタジオ”Intuitive Flow Yoga Studio”に通うためです。　ここに最も近く安価で手頃な宿と思ったのでChampuhanⅢ通りの坂を上げってすぐのDe Munutリゾートホテルに決めました。　2連泊しましたが、1泊あたり朝食込みで税サ込み6，400円程度で宿泊しました。　バリ建築で旧式リゾートですが、プールも２つあり雰囲気抜群です。　客室も一人旅にしてはかなり広く、玄関に大きなソファースペースがあり客室にも縁側ソファースペースまであり、極めつけはバスタブ＆シャワーが外部空間に配置されているので露天風呂の雰囲気でバスタブにつかることができました。　蚊の心配をしましたが、全く居ませんでした。　TVもNHKワールドやら多チャンネル放送ありばっちり映ります。　ベッドには蚊帳もあり、冷蔵庫も完備。　この間取りと老舗リゾートの雰囲気でこの値段はコスパ高と思います。　ウブド中心部へのシャトル無料サービスはありませんが、シャトルサービスは有料（約50，000ルピア）で対応してくれます。　が、モンキーフォレスト通りのワルンまで晩飯を食いにてくてく歩きましたが、ホテルからは坂を下りブリッジを越え約17～18分程度かかるでしょうか。　帰りは坂を上りますが、徒歩圏内と言っていいでしょう。　また、2日目の晩飯は中心街に出ずCampuhan通りをさらに奥に上っていくと結構雰囲気のあるワルンがぽつぽつあるのでそこで済ませましたが、十分美味な食事が取れます。
チェックアウト時も次のホテルへのシャトル有料サービスにてなんなく対応してくれました。お目当てのヨガスタジオ”Intuitive Flow Yoga Studio”はやはり歩いてすぐ行けたので便利でした。　市販の地図では、ここへのアクセスはCampuhan通りからさらにRayaSayan通りをぐるっと迂回する道順がありますがこれは自動車用・バイク用の道でホテルから坂を下ってサンギンガン通りを200mほど北上しTjampuhanHotelの前の階段を登りさえすれば、ホテルからヨガスタジオまで徒歩10分以内で到着できます。　この階段は市販地図に掲載されていないので知っておくと便利です。　ここに2つの素晴らしい隠れ家的カフェ
”Lila＆Lili”と”YellowFlowerCafe”もありますし。　とにかくこのホテルにして良かったです。　次回も利用したいと思います。

ウブドの町から徒歩１０－１５分、適度に離れていて、静かな環境。この料金では、かなりお得です。
ウブドでの定宿になりそうです。朝食は、ビュッフェ形式でなく、卵料理、トーストか各種パンケーキ
、ジュースのチョイス、コーヒー、紅茶とシンプルですが私には十分でした。スパも併設されています。バリニーズマッサージ1時間で１６００００ルピア、町中よりは高いですが、日本円で１５００円程度と思えば、格安です。
