Rooms were spacious, and comfortable with a sitting and dining area. View over the city are best, otherwise might be facing a building, higher floors better, noted some maintenance items needing attention (window did not seal properly, hand basin sink stopper did not work). Take care booking non-refundable pricing, if you leave early, the hotel will not refund you (I was not happy about that)

The hotel room I had was very small compared to the photo. The HVAC fan in my room was loud, there was no fan in the bathroom to ventilate the humidity because of the shower. The towels were old, hard, and the shower mat small and terrible. Every time my girlfriend walked into the bathroom, she said there was a urine smell which was more than likely from a previous person who used the room and may have missed the bowl.

I had a difficult time sleeping at night. The rooms are supposed to be soundproof but besides the HVAC fan, I could hear when anyone beside, below or above my room flushed a toilet. I could also hear people in the hallway talking, doors closing, etc. The window in the room was drafty and I could hear the traffic passing on the roadway at night.

The gym equipment is old. The weight machine cables have been stretched and should be replaced. When I was swimming in the pool, I noticed black mold in the tile grout so I would question the proper use of chemicals being used to treat the water. I would also question if the tile grout was sealed properly or if the grout is resealed annually.

The food was good although on a Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend and I had a late lunch with coffee. It seemed as if the coffee was left in the pot for a long time and tasted terrible which is like a cardinal sin to serve bad coffee in Colombia.

Overall, I was very disappointed for the amount of money I paid for staying at a property that is supposed to be a five star hotel.

1st thing my room was reserved as dobble with sofa bed they give me room with sofa not with sofa bed I complain at reception they say ok I will check they do t care about that money was paid to Expedia in advance so can’t do anything 2nd day in bathroom no bath foot met no hand towels , beside this breakfast tooo good food at top restaurant toooo excited excilente , beside room request all was good I should get next time some rebate or discount beacuse what I ask did not get I feel better I book with others not with Expedia this was first time with booking Expedia better others I use to book .

The hotel is beautiful. The bath room is ok. Weird shower, where you have to go into the shower to turn it on and get blasted with cold water! Breakfast buffet was less then expected. Staff was very friendly, pool area is awesome. The rotating restaurant was great, beautiful view of Medellin.

Es un hotel muy tradicional en Medellin. Me imagino que para eventos funciona bien pero para descansar no es el mejor lugar. Demasiado ruido exterior e interno necesita remuneración y colocar aislantes de ruido. Costo beneficio no es igual

Beautiful pool where you can order drinks and food. The food was great! We ate twice at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. The hotel is In a great location close to poblano park, but is quiet as not in the man area. They also kept our bags safely in storage while we did a two day rafting trip. I would highly recommend!!

This hotel does its job! The rooms are spacious enough but outdated. This property just needs renovations (if the aesthetics really matter to you) however, I recommend staying here as it feels safe, the staff are incredible and the location is honestly perfect!!!

Centrally located to many restaurants, 2 parks, and a large mall. The staff was friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived. The only criticism I would mention is that the towels provided seem really old and overused. Overall we had a good experience.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Dann Carlton Medellín.
My two friends and I booked our rooms six months in advance, only to arrive and be told that there were no rooms available for us. The front desk attendant initially claimed that the rooms were under repair, which we later realized was not true. This immediately created frustration and distrust.
Instead of honoring our reservation, we were told we would be sent to their annex property, Dann Carlton Belfort. While they described this as an “upgrade” to a suite, that was not what we wanted. We specifically chose and paid for the Dann Carlton in Medellín — not the Belfort property. At the time we made our reservation, the Belfort hotel was nearly half the price of what we paid.
This situation felt like a classic case of overbooking. It left us feeling cheated and taken advantage of, as though our rooms were given to last-minute guests willing to pay a higher rate.
After planning our trip well in advance, this was a major inconvenience and disappointment. A reservation made six months ahead should mean something. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously impacted my trust in this hotel brand.
I would not recommend booking here unless you are prepared for the possibility that your confirmed reservation may not be honored.

We had an issue with the A/C and blackout curtains. The technician couldn’t help fix or explain how to fix the A/C. We figured it out ourselfs, and the blackout curtains just needed new batteries but the tech refused to change them first nd said maybe it got locked because the button was pressed too many times lol
The breakfast was not good in my opinion, I trusted other reviewers but chicken wings and rice and beans is not something I would have for breakfast. Hey had eggs and fruit which saved us. The overall hotel was ok, the staff was friendly and location was good.

I was disappointed that the hot tub was out of commission for both of my stays. Please take that out of your description if you're not going to fix it...it's misleading and was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. The pool was great...just wanted to also use the hot tub that was advertised in the listing. Rooms were mostly clean though there were some stray hairs here and there and one of the remotes was sticky and had someone's eyelash stuck to it. Also when ordering room service would be great to have a tray so that dishes can be easily wheeled outside of the room after use, otherwise the dirty dishes stink up the room until the room is cleaned the next day. All in all, a very nice hotel! The breakfast was phenomenal every day and the beds were extremely comfortable. All the staff were lovely except for the person working by the pool...I kept having to track him down for towels or to order food/beverages. Suggest perhaps leaving towels out so guests can just grab them as we walk in and to alleviate extra work for that person, and also perhaps having menus handy so people can look at them without having to track anyone down. Really enjoyed the revolving restaurant! It's pricey but well worth the fantastic view and food.

El servicio de 5 estrellas q ostentan no corresponde al servicio, no brindan cortesia en baño con pañuelos faciales, gorras de baño, cafetera, si bien puedes pedirlo no te lo llevan y las atenciones del personal no es la mejor, en el WC estaba con un asiento más pequeño, al solicitar cafetera nos facilitaron una jarra electrica y cuando pedi tazas me llevaron plato sopero.
