I didn’t take anything from the bar this visit due to time restraints, but in other occasions the bar and bar service was excellent. The room had an amazing view of Puertochico and Peña Carbaga across the bay. This is my third visit here and I most definitely will visit here again.

Stayed in the hotel for two days mid-September during family trip to north of Spain. Hotel is located within a few minutes from old town still close to very good restaurants. We spend a few hours with a drink in the hand just watching the waterfront view from our window! Parking is external but is very convenient and has an elevator directly into the hotel - better than some hotel parking I've seen. Very attentive stuff, we got a welcome gift that we appreciated very much! Room cleaning was done really well and thorough. Overall - exceptional experience and will not hesitate to book Vincci Puertochico hotel if I end up in Santander one more time!

I love this hotel. I chose it especially for the views of the bay, the boats, and the mountain. The staff is friendly and ever-helpful. There is an on-site restaurant with amazing food and a bar in the lobby where you can meet up with friends before going out. I will definitely stay here again.

This was not my usual Santander hotel, but it was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. And, although the hotel does not boast a restaurant, there is a bar with a good menu as well as breakfast. The staff were nice and it was a good, overall experience.

I am not sure where this hotel got 4 stars it really is a 3 star at the most reminded me of my working days and using Holiday inn's around the country
Room was quite small and two very uncomfortable chairs to sit on, the breakfast was ok we did give it a miss on a couple of mornings, frankfurters and congealed egg was not nice to see, coffee was no better

The room was rather small but had a very comfortable queen-size bed and great pillows. We paid extra at check-in since we did not realize that the room we reserved looked out into a tiny interior courtyard. With the extra funds, our room had a beautiful view of the marina and bay. The bathroom had a rain shower which was great. It was well-equipped and provided all the essential amenities. Customer service was top-notch and the location was central to everything. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Santander.

Lovely hotel on the waterfront in Santander

Lovely hotel right on the waterfront overlooking the harbour - we were on the top floor looking away from the water with a little balcony which was an added bonus. The room was light and airy and spacious - we tried room service one night and were very impressed. The hotel is in a great location - take the ferry over to Somo if you get the chance - fantastic beaches.Hotel staff were very welcoming - would highly recommend this hotel.

Pleasant stay in a great location.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful when checking in, they gave us a map of the area and highlighted the places we wanted to visit. There was a problem with the air-con during our visit, which meant we spent an uncomfortable night with little sleep, however when mentioning this, they re-imbursed us the cost of breakfast for the inconvenience. Overall a lovely hotel, very clean with a great shower and very close to the eating spots with lovely views over the harbour.

Arriving by car on the busy road outside the hotel it is not obvious that there is a parking space just in front of the hotel where you can drop off bags. The hotel is fine and good value. My only slight complaint was that there is just one lift, so there was sometimes a wait, especially because of Covid restrictions on numbers in the lift at the same time.

We arrived by car and accidentally found the right parking garage and emerged within eight meters of the hotel door. We paid for an upgrade to a room with a view of the bay and were not sorry. It was very pretty. The hotel was clean, quiet, and located within walking distance of many of Santander’s sights. Dozens and dozens of restaurants within easy walking distance. The Muelle museum is a nice walk along the waterfront. Overall very pleasant stay, and I will stay there again if I get the chance.

Seemed a bit pricey to me overall. The wifi code did not initially work - we had to ask for a new one. In addition to this, wifi use was limited. Not great for a traveler who does not have cell service in the area. However the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were great about holding our luggage for us after we were checked out so that we didn't have to haul it around with us all day until we had to catch our bus. Great location! Easy walk to everywhere you'd want to be in Santander.

Nice location with helpful staff, Santander is a fantastic place to visit with historical sites and great beaches, even stayed an extra day. Downside was no wifi connection on an apple phone with vodaphone SIM card, security issues? Also when trying to watch international news (BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, etc.) reception went crazy, Spanish channels and some inane English Channel were fine.

A most enjoyable holiday

From start to finish we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The trip from the airport was a 15 minute ride, and there is an airport bus that goes into the centre of the city from where you can get on one of the local busses if you need to go further than a short walk with your cases. The hotel was in our ideal location - in between beaches and the shops, and walkable to both. The outlook from our room was over the marina with all the yachts and boats, and the tent like stalls on the front. We got a bus card from reception which we could then charge up with Euros and use on the very easy to use and good bus network when we had had enough of walking. There are more than enough restaurants within easy reach, and enough variety to cater for most tastes if you are not into Spanish food, though of course it is mostly Spanish. We found a few nice places for a light and late lunch having had a late breakfast. For us the big adjustment was the late opening times of most of the restaurants - between 20:00-21:00 hrs - but we adjusted and occasionally found one that opened earlier. The Spanish people were vey friendly and always tried to compensate for the lack of our Spanish vocabulary! Our overall experience was a very positive one, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend such a trip.

Our holiday was made unique not only by the service I received from my first phone call to voice my worries as I had never been to Santander before. The overwhelming professionalism and innate kindness of all staff members make this hotel worth every penny. I don't ever answer these surveys but I owe it to the staff and hope this hotel group appreciate the fact that it is their staff that make this such a unique hotel. Special mention to Julian who shared with us all the special places that we should visit and eat magnificent Spanish local seafood food. Borgha who was always cheerful and ready with a beautiful set tray for us to have our tea.The front desk were incredible. I shouldn't promote this because its one of those places you find and want to keep special!

Overpriced - Terrible Value for money

The check in was slow and the staff member on duty didn't have a very helpful attitude. We were provided no information on the area or a map and there really isn't a convenient parking area to drop bags off near the front door of the hotel. The room was very small and difficult for two people to move around in, although you can't hear traffic outside you can hear everything going on inside the hotel from flushing toilets to movement in other rooms. To me the advertisement of sound proofed rooms is highly misleading. The food from the kitchen for room service was vastly over priced and very poor, fish was rubbery in one dish and the carbonara pasta was not carbonara with no bacon and was dark in colour like overcooked mushrooms. For the cost of the room is was not value for money with its location the only selling point.

The photos online show lovely views over the harbor and coast with a nicely set table on a sun filled terrace. In the elevators there is an invitation to enjoy the summer terrace. The only way to actually access these facilities if to book the private suite on the top floor. All other rooms are only just large enough to hold a double bed. there is nowhere to open a suit case and you would have great difficulty with 2 cases. Overall the room is extremely small and in no way worth the money paid. We had much better accommodation for less money everywhere else in Spain.

This hotel is very well placed between a large beach to the east (10 min walk) and the area of tapas and bares to the west (5min walk). In front you have the port. We booked a normal room but the hotel policy seems to be to upgrade everyone to sea view of available. That was very nice and the room was comfortable and clean. The street in front of the hotel boast a main road and a few bars so do not expect to open the window and hear the tide and waves. They have a deal with the parking nearby that costs you €14 per day. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. While €14 is not expensive for a hotel buffet, it didn't look that amazing and in Spain you can just go to a bar to have freshly squeezed orange juice, a coffee and pastries or savoury bread from no more than €5.

We stayed here two years ago and had a room at the rear of the hotel.
For the last 3 days of our touring around northern we decided to stay here again but
this time in a room overlooking the harbour. Well worth paying the extra for the view across
the bay. This a popular small hotel so during summer months it's advisable to book in advance.
The hotel is 5 mins walk to the old town bar area with a couple of popular bars/restaurants
within metres away.

Great hotel, but no balcony room!!

I paid extra to book the 'Panoramic Room, Sea View' with Expedia, and the photos show it as having a balcony. When we arrived at the room, it had no balcony, so we went downstairs to reception to explain what I had booked and showed the photos. The receptionist explained that they have only one balcony room, which CANNOT be booked through Expedia, and which incurs an extra supplement. So be careful - what you are getting for the extra money is the sea view but not a balcony. Very misleading by Expedia!

Receptionist was very nice though, and immediately accommodated our request to be moved to a room on a higher floor. Very comfortable beds, excellent wifi, huge bathroom and fantastic view. But no balcony.

Business trip

The hotel is located on a wide boulevard facing the harbor, a beautiful location. The heart of the downtown, with many shops and restaurants, is a short walk away. The hotel has a breakfast buffet for 14 euros but no restaurant for other meals. Rooms were spotless, and windows can be opened for fresh air.
The hotel can summons a cab in minutes, which was very helpful since my business meetings were several kilometers away.The Staff speak English very well, which was helpful to me.
