After our arrival to the room, we informed the A/C was not working. Nothing was done. We had to sleep with no A/C on June. The next morning, the problem was again reported.,The first option given was to spend again another night…since we did not acepted then we were changed to another room. We do not recommend this hotel.

Nice small hotel with a very friendly staff. Great area, parking could be dificult at time, the hotel had 3 reserved spaces and when available they will let you park for as long as you need to. Room medium size, bed good, breakfast good too.

Short Break. Santander Abba Hotel

Our stay was for 3 nights. Four adults. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very convenient with respect to the ferry (circa 80 meters), the town centre and public transport. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Stayed here 10/11 and 16/17 March while visiting San Sebastian and Bilbao as flew into and out of Santander airport. Got bus outside airport to bus station. €3.20.Hotel is next to bus station. Hotel let me have late check out (6 p.m.) as i'd a late flight - extra €30 euro. Bargain. After trapsing around SS and Bilbao for 5 days it was great to find Lush yesterday and have a bath in the hotel as very foot sore and weary. Its Sunday and Santander is closed!! Bars open so thats ok. If you are flying into Santander and need a bed for the night I highly recommend this comfortable convenient Hotel..

Absolute gem of an hotel.

An absolute gem of an hotel. Very well situated in city centre with lots of bars and restaurants around in very close proximity. Please note, there is no bar in this hotel even though Hotels.com say that there on the hotel information but there isn't and there never has been so don't know where hotels.com get there info from. Hotel was very clean, room was very clean, bed very comfortable, excellent bathroom. Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful at all times. Couldn't fault this hotel at all. We caught the bus from airport to city centre and hotel is right next to bus station, very close to port for ferry's and very close to train station. Bus runs every 40 minutes. Also caught bus back to airport, only a 10 minute ride. Definitely recommend hotel abba santander and if i ever go back to santander that is where I'll stay.

Lovely hotel will stay again.

Loved this hotel! Santander is a beautiful city.
Was very busy while we were there as festival at the weekend.
Loved this hotel in great location just outside the old town and right next to the bus station where airport bus drops off.
Our room was on 3rd floor and had big windows and lottle balcony but with windows closed no noise from traffic or street
Room was very spacious ans modern with free bottled water and coffee machine as well as kettle and fridge.

The hotel is right next to the ferry terminal. We asked the staff for some information about the ferry (namely where do foot passengers go for the Portsmouth ferry) and they had no idea. They gave us the wrong information. They have probably been asked this a hundred times. For goodness sakes, have a bit of curiousity and find out what the situation is! Foot passengers can enter at the ferry terminal across the street they DO NOT have to walk 1km down the orad and then back 1km behind the fence. Otherwise the hotel was fine.

I booked at short notice as I had a ferry to catch the next morning…
It’s a smart hotel in the centre 10 mins walk from the ferry passenger terminal

Clean and smart , large older character building outside.. reception ‘bar area ‘ has stained glass & Edwardian type fittings …closed / shut due to current conditions.. but modern touch seating ..by desk

The afternoon receptionist was a bit business like with booking in .. the checkout reception person was friendlier

Abba Santander Hotel

I stayed in this hotel for one night, check in was smooth and the room was fine. The staff were helpful and polite. The sea is nearby and there are several restaurants nearby. There is a convenience store nearby. There is no bar, but you can buy drinks from a vending machine. My room had a bath which was good. The best thing about this hotel is its location. The bus station is a few minutes walk away.

Hotel is very convenient for public transport. Room was fine, shower a bit feeble, but acceptable. No English language TV but that's not much of a loss. Lift is fast and as there are only 8 rooms per floor you don't often have to wait long. Free wifi was good but had to be selected in settings each time. Great value breakfast in bar across the street in la Barucca

Dog Friendly, Very Good Hotel

Only stayed the one night so did not really use any of the facilities available, including meals, so could not comment on those. However, the room was of a good size with a large bed. The room we stayed in on the fourth floor was clean and quiet. Reception staff polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is dog friendly. Finally, a later than usual check-out (12pm) was also very handy.

Easy to find

Location is great for a few nights if coming from the airport and taking bus into the centre of Santander....the Abba Hotel is very close to the bus station and you pass it on the bus just before the bus stop. Nearby (turn left from the hotel) there are a number of bars and cafes and a short walk further and to the left there are a lot more. Handy if you come in late in the evening as we did. There is also a supermarket more or less opposite the hotel.
Hotel reception lady was really helpful and gave us a map and directions to nearby places.
Room itself was fine and having tea and coffee making facilities was an added bonus (haven't come across this much in other hotels in Spain). Our room had a small balcony that you could stand on but not sit but sufficient for our purposes.
We didn't have breakfast as there were a lot of bars to choose from that did basic breakfasts at a good price.
There was some building work going on next door to the hotel when we arrived and not sure how long this will go on for. It stopped about 4.30pm and didn't really worry us too much as we were out most of the day. The traffic noise was acceptable but to be considered if you want a quiet beachside holiday which this is not really the area for, more city location.

Visited here for a two night stay. Overall had a reasonably good stay - room was comfortable and large. Location was good - walking distance to everything. WiFi was reasonably okay - stable with an average speed. Staff were also very friendly and accommodating. There was quite a bit of hair from the cleaner though in the bathroom and the floor. Overall a good place nonetheless, one I would recommend for a short stay.

The Abba is well situated near both the bus and train stations. The room was a good size, bed very comfortable, quiet efficient airconditioning, and no audible traffic noise, which meant I had a truly restful night.The tea and coffee making facilities and fridge were an added bonus.

Used the Hotel prior to traveling back o0n the Brittany Ferry from Santander to Plymouth.
Location was excellent within site of the port entrance but close to all the amenities the city centre had to offer.
Rooms modern and well kitted out ( not larger but more than adequate) and the staff were really helpful.
On my next trip would have no heitstion in using again.
