I booked the property because it had a restaurant, when I arrived at 14:00 I asked when it was open, I was told after 17:00.So I waited until 18:00 to come down for a meal only to be told it was reservations only( which I was not told)I waited in the bar joining the restaurant until the first customers started arriving.Two and a half hours, I could of been fed ten times over, I was told just eat deliver there woooohooo, went to bed hungry, woke up for a shower,well a drip more than shower, was sooo angry with stay

Zwolle visit

The cleanliness of this hotel was good and the staff were kind and helpful. This hotel is of a certain age and needs updating especially where decoration and carpets are concerned. Some corridor carpets had bare areas and also paint was peeling on doors and door frames.

I don't think a lot changed here since the 80's. Having said that; the bed was very good. Everything works, so no surprises. The only thing that scares me though is the floor/carpet. Although it was properly vacuumed it just doens't look good. Overall; good night sleep after a great concert in Hedon. Perfect for this.

On the website it says free parking but they only have 18 parkingplaces for 70 rooms... No parkingsspace for most guests so the website is misleading! When I complained about this to the frontdesk manager he rudely said I should not complain since Ipaid the cheap expedia price!

Very frustrating that they couldn't get the card reader to work like it's supposed to and every day I had to go to the front desk and get it reprogrammed before I could get in my room!!! Also absolutely ridiculous that I couldn't borrow a fork and knife from the restaurant. I was a guest after all.

The second time I stay here, yet I stayed again as it is close to where I need to be in Zwolle and there are not many options for that price. It really is a hotel that need serious updating. Old furniture and carpet and in general room is outdated and small. Bathroom is big and wonderful in comparison. since I only use the room to sleep in it is okay, but you really can't od much in the room but sleep, and you don't really want to hang out in the lobby either. The price is too high if I compare it o other places I stay at, but I guess they can go away with it. Service is friendly.

I have stayed in many Campanile Hotels before, but this one had the MOST uncomfortable bed. There was a mistake in the booking, and they put us in a single room, which had a full size, foam mattress bed. And, not the nice memory foam kind, but the rock hard kind. The location was directly on the main road, so there was lots of traffic noise. Also, there were many bars around, and apparently the hotel does not check their facility after dark, as many drunk patrons roamed the hall partying until 0330, just loud enough to wake people as they moved back and forth between rooms. I will not be staying at this location again, nor would I recommend it.

Discgusting customer service.

The hotel was asked to put us in a twin bed room as I had recently had an operation on my foot and was wearing a brace. When we got there, they had put us in a double bed room. When my husband went down to ask to be moved the night manager was very off hand and said they did not have any other rooms, so would have to have what they put us in. In the morning I went down to reception to speak to the manager. She was equal as dismissive bordering on rude, and said they were full and had no other rooms. I explained I particularly needed a twin room, but she said we could not demand a twin room as it is a preference. So they could give us into anything they had. I explained if they did not have a twin room they should not have accepted our booking. I asked for a refund. They refused. I contacted Hotels.com. They also asked for a refund, and got the same reply. Hotels.com gave me a £60 voucher, which was nice. Especially as it was not there fault. I have family in Holland and had to sleep on my daughters put you up bed in her lounge. My husband slept in the hotel. Not the nice birthday weekend I was expecting.

The first time we stayed there was 1998 We enjoyed our stay at that hotel so we decided to rebook it again this time . This hotel is situated close to the centre of town approximately 8 minutes walk . Breakfast and dinner is available at a reasonable cost . We found the staff friendly and helpful. There is ample parking space at the back of the hotel.

Low Priced, Clean Hotel

Room was very good considering price and location. We could walk easily to the center of town. My only complaint was that we were charged an extra 15 euros to check in early(11am) even though the desk clerk said the room was ready. I had never come across this extra charge, especially when the room was already cleaned and prepared. I was told I would have to wait until 2pm to avoid the charge. We paid the fee because we had been awake over 24 hours due to our overnight flight.

Surprisingly much better than I thought!

I arrived quite late and very tired. This hotel is great value and quite modern. I strongly recommend it. The room was spacious and surprisingly well equiped with a bath, which in my experience is unusual in Holland. I had the chefs special in the resturant -which was an awesome bit of pork! The cooking was excellent and the service was very, very good. Breakfast was also worth it!

The hotel staff, while nice, is very unprofessional. We had an issue with the booking that was resolved only by paying twice the original price for the room. The staff did however try to compensate in other ways.

The parking was very limited, the bed extremely hard and not comfortable, the windows did not seal, which was not a temperature problem in October. However it was extremely noisy. The tub was very narrow. The shower was a surprise, one second scalding hot water, the next freezing cold. The rooms where somewhat clean.

Functional Hotel - Take Your Earplugs

This is a budget hotel sitting on a fairly busy road so you will need earplugs (or several bottles of wine) to help you sleep through the traffic noise.

We stayed here to break our journey.

When we were going into the restaurant the waitress must have been told by the chef to tell everyone that they were busy and that food orders may \"take a while\". I pointed out that the restaurant was not busy.

Service was good and the food was really okay.

Small character but a big room

Campanile hotels aren't known for their character, but they are practical and efficient. I had a very large room in the roof of the hotel, with nice Velux windows. The room included a bath, which you don't get in hotels very often. A very good breakfast too. Handily located just outside the city centre; only a five minute walk across the river.

Stay over for handicraft market in IJsselhallen

Good hotel with very friendly staff. Walking distance from Zwolle centre with a lot of good restaurants and bars.
When there is enough space on the parking lot the parking is free.
We had to start early, but the ijsselhallen are very close by 3 minutes by car.
We will definitly book this hotel again.

Quiet, Comfortable and Convenient

Easily within walking distance of the city centre and local attarctions, we found it to be a basic, but very clean and quiet hote, with ample parking. Staff really helpful and check in and out were quick and simple.

Somewhat disappointed.

We booked for 4 nights but checked out after the first night and moved to a different hotel. It is noisy at the back of the hotel with delivery lorries coming early and a neighbouring rooster from the early hours so we got little sleep after dawn. The room was small and very hot and we were not comfortable. The meal in the restaurant tasted good but we were both unwell the following morning. It is close to Zwolle centre so that is a plus point and the staff were very helpful, it just didn't suit us.

Ok so I don’t speak Dutch but still receive your stuff in Dutch. When we show up for check in , 2 of our rooms weren’t ready and it was 3pm. The check in is from 2pm. It took us more than 30min to check in . there was no water in one of our room and we couldn't take a shower this morning what i specified at the reception.

Geweldige locatie voor bezoek aan concertzaal Hedon en centrum!
Goed dat er verbouwd gaat worden, daar is het hotel echt aan toe. Water van onze douche liep rechtstreeks de kamer in onder de deur door. Douche wisselde zelf qua warmte en douchen in een badkuip is niet meer van deze tijd! Verwacht dat dit door de verbouwing allemaal beter gaat worden!
Inchecken kan beter; de man die ons ontving heeft welgeteld 4 zinnen uitgesproken id graag, handtekening graag, kamers op eerste verdieping. De vierde zin was n.a.v. mijn vraag hoe het met ontbijttijden zat. Daarbij zat de man te bellen en liet ons wachten omdat er een collega met vragen bij hem kwam. Niet gastvrij!
De nachtportier en meneer bij ontbijt waren daarentegen wel top! Vriendelijk, vrolijk, netjes en snel!

Wij verbleven met 3 personen een nacht in dit hotel. De inrichting is gedateerd, maar keurig schoon. We hadden een kamer met 3 eenpersoonsbedden, dat was heel fijn. De douche was afwisselend koud of heet, maar verder was de badkamer goed: ook zeer gedateerd maar schoon. We konden helaas niet om 14.00 inchecken zoals beloofd, dit werd bijna 14.30. De tv op de kamer was ook oud, je kon niet alle zenders bekijken. Maar voor de prijs die we betaalden, dicht bij het centrum en met ontbijt, was dit hotel prima waar voor ons geld.

Eenvoudig hotel, jammer als je met al je bagage een kamer driehoog krijgt en de lift is stuk… de helft van de parkeerplaats voor de deur is betaald parkeren, jammer dat ze bij de receptie niet even vragen of je met de auto bent en goed geparkeerd staat. Verder was de kamer OK

Het is een prima hotel voor als je één nachtje wil verblijven. De kamers zijn netjes, erg basic maar dat vonden wij niet erg.
De badkamer zag er wel onhygiënisch uit en de douche werd of heel heet of heel koud.
