Best place ever

The staff were so friendly and helpful. It actually seemed like it bothered them when we didn’t call them to come get our luggage at checkout. The breakfast was great and made to order. We even asked for a coffee option every day that was not on the menu but they made it for us. The last morning power and water was lost on the whole island. Not the hotel’s fault. They couldn’t make the coffee we ordered. When the power and water returned. They brought us the other coffee. Very thoughtful. This is where we will stay when we come back to Santorini.

Our room had its private hot tub on our balcony. We used this a lot since the pool water was chilly this time of year. The reception staff George and Kostas were very friendly and attentive. Daily Breakfast is included and was great! You are able to select from numerous breakfast options. This location is close to Akrotiri, so you are away from the chaos of the busy tourist areas.

This hotel is the perfect place if you're looking for a relax hotel to stay at. At times I felt like no one else was staying at the hotel because it was so peaceful and everyone on the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here at Asarte Suites again!

When we were booking online the picture they show for senior suite was different from what they have provided us and we had to pat additional €235 for changing the room to what we had seen online. They didn’t accomodate us because of their incorrect website information. Then they arranged the rental car for us stating that they are doing business with this company for over 10 years and the company is trustworthy but we ended up paying €200 additional on top of the rental price for the scratch to the car that was already there and they blamed us for that scratch. Hotel staff arranged the rental and refused to communicate at the end saying that they don’t have anything to do with rentals. Terrible terrible experience. Would not recommend anyone to trust Astarte suites staff please do not ruin your vacation.

Do not stay at this property, what they say on the website is very misleading. They are in the middle of nowhere, they are not in walking distance of any place. The closest place to this property is at least 20 minutes Drive. On the website it said it’s closed Oia city but it’s not it’s about 40 to 45 minutes Drive. The Hotel is built on a cliffhanger and it’s so windy that you can’t get out of your room to enjoy the view and can’t even leave your door open. The property is so outdated and not clean there are bugs everywhere. The door to the rooms still uses an ACTUAL KEY with Key hole NOT Key Card. The Wi-Fi does not work and it keep saying no internet. Their TV didn’t work. Also we asked for a Do Not Disturb sign for our room and they didn’t have it. We asked them that while we are not there no one should enter our room but they did go to our room for even the short time that we were not there and my iPad is missing and got stolen.

Remote from most of the island which was what we wanted but be aware - need taxi/hire buggy to get around if you wish to.

Super friendly staff , the service is excellent. The staff make you feel at home . Really nice view . Really good breakfast and restaurant but expensive . But that’s all that is good . Location is very remote . Need to walk 23 min to the closest bus stop at atcrotiri or take taxi for euro 35 to Fira . Need to walk a lot of stairs uphill to leave the hotel and everyday it’s like gym to even leave the hotel . There are alot of insects and flies flying around. The bed can be improved . The room is very sticky and humid due to the jacuzzi inside .

Nice place to stay. Quiet and away from the tourists. Transfer service was great. Met the owner our last night who is amazing and fun. The breakfast each morning that you can choose from was amazing every time. The pictures online do not give it justice!!! Highly recommend!!!

Astarte Suites had THE most welcoming, helpful, and friendliest staff of any hotel that we have ever stayed at before. From check-in to check-out, the staff were extremely kind and accommodating of our every request.
The concierges (especially Katerina) went above and beyond with assisting us in booking multiple excursions and transportation around the island.

The property itself is jaw-dropping, having being set cliffside and overlooking the caldera and the rest of the island. The pool and restaurant provided outstanding views while enjoying. Additionally, the hotel is very secluded and private (exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon).

We absolutely loved our stay! Thank you to everyone who made it an amazing experience.

A room to die for in a great location.

The hotel itself is small and intimate with probably the most stunning infinity pool ever. Our room was nothing less than jaw-dropping: huge picture windows from which to gape at the stunning view, jacuzzi to sit in and gape at the stunning view and a second floor terrace with sun beds and a private pool from where to gape at the stunning view; yes there’s a theme developing here! It was a room I wanted to stay in, which was fortunate, as while we were there the weather wasn’t the best. I absolutely loved the room - amazing! It was also completely private; many of the hotels in Santorini are overlooked as they’re all built into the hillside above you. But not this one.
Breakfast is served in your room, hopefully on your terrace, and was delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing we weren’t keen on was the restaurant as it lacked ambience and character. Because of this we didn’t eat there, we went into Akrotiri or to the little place just outside the hotel.
We stayed in Oia, Imerovigli and here and out of all of them we preferred this location. Akrotiri is more traditional and ’ villagey’ and is a five minute taxi ride from the hotel. This is where I’d come back to.

Astarte Suites was so beautiful, luxurious, and perfect for our honeymoon. Their staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive to all our requests and needs. The food was excellent, and the beds were extremely comfortable - I highlight recommend this hotel for a romantic, luxurious getaway.

Maybe add some signage to your hotel. We missed the turn because we didn’t see any and because we didn’t have any GPS.
We would stay here again and definitely recommend this place to others.

Lovely hotel. Private terrace and infinity pool were great, very private space to relax in. The staff were very helpful and attentive. One and only negative would be that everything felt damp in the room, which i assume was due to the hot tub inside a small enough space. I thought the bed sheets were damp on the first night and assumed that perhaps they just hadnt been dried properly, however, we noticed that our clothes etc felt damp throughout our stay too. On saying this, it wasnt enough to put me off staying here again. It is quite far from all the towns and villages and the regular bus route doesnt extend out that far so hiring a car is advised. The view is incredible though.

Astarte is a secluded paradise away from the tourists of Santorini. That said, be aware it takes about 45 minute to 90 to get to Fira, and Oia. The rooms were perfect, each with a real jacuzzi tub. Breakfast is ordered the evening before and delivered to your private patio. The hotel is carved into the hillside with incredible views of Fira and the caldera, Note, there are very steep steps, and a lot of them leading down to the hotel, which was difficult for one of our friends. The pool is small and closes at 6:00PM, so they can serve an elegant dining experience with wonderful views. It would have been nice to be able to use the pool and watch the sunset, or just cool off in the evening. The bar staff by the pool was not the most efficient nor accommodating.

This property is absolutely breathtaking! The owner and staff are friendly, efficient and catered to our every need. The food was fresh and delicious. The place was beyond romantic. It was away from the hustle of Fira Town and the view took my breath away. The drive into town is not bad and the view of the sunset from the lighthouse is out of this world.

When you arrive to the hotel, you are greeted right away. The staff greeted us with a complimentary drink and a fruit plate. Also when we were escorted personally by the hotel staff, she said call if you need anything. Litterally, this 5 star hotel gave us the 5 star experience. we felt so well taken care of and the view is breathtaking. we stayed in the executive suite and it was by far the best experience I have ever had!!!! Thank you to the staff!!!

The room and bathroom are well equipped with everything necessary for a wonderful stay.
One negative comment I have is that the pool in the room is painted blue vs tiles and the paint rubs off on clothes and body. It takes 20 min to wash that paint off your legs etc.

I liked the hotel in general but the staff were terrible I arrived early to the hotel and when asked to stay in any room until my room is ready they said they won’t because my check in has to be at 2 pm and blamed me for taking an early flight not to mention they knew about it and they also picked me up from the airport so they made me stay at the pool area till my check in ( 7 hours !!!!! ) + checking in for them means showing you your room NOT doing the paperwork

Ps: they were going to charge me for breakfast while I wanted because I didn’t get into my room although I did the paperwork they clearly means I checked in but waiting for my room

Spectacular hotel with breathtaking views

The hotel is spectacular. The view of the Mediterranean from our suite was simply breathtaking; we could see both Ioa and Fira from our private infinity pool while watching the sunset. The food was delicious and the hotel staff was attentive. A beautiful escape!

Really nice a few things to be aware of.

Internet was not up to top hotel standards. Hotel is far away from cities, which may or not be important to you. Staff goes out of their way for you. I have to say an overall fantastic experience!

This was an amazing place. The view was outstanding, service impeccable and their personal recommendations and hospitality was top notch. There were a lot of stairs, so be aware, however, beyond that it was a great location. Every morning breakfast was served and the view from the outdoor patio was just like the picture. The room was comfortable and clean. They even had a blow dryer!!!

If you need a getaway, this will be the place. No crowds, great view, excellent food and an overall peaceful break. Be sure to check out the local wineries. They were our favorite. There were 2 restaurants that were down the street from the hotel and they provided some of the best food we had during out trip.

Went during low season. Very quiet. Had a cat at my suite door every morning meowing for breakfast which was served to the room at a time set by us. Limited food selection on menu. Very helpful staff. Quite hotel. Mainly suites. Private location. Lots of steps down (exhausting) from the main road. Very close to Anna's Good Heart Restaurant.

Out of this world!

“Out of this world!”

Our stay here was everything we hoped it would be - from the private transfer from the airport to the hotel, to the welcome champagne and fruit platter to the amazing view having dinner by the cliff face, to the freshly prepared breakfast each morning served at a time you request, to the cocktails by the pool being served by friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant staff to the offer of invaluable years of experience about where to eat, where to visit and maybe some places to skip if on a short visit.

We came home after our break refreshed, relaxed and recharged. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and they enjoyed looking after us on our stay as much as we enjoyed spending our time there by the pool, in the room or in the surroundings of the hotel.

Look forward to going back again in the future.

Amazing hotel!! Extremely friendly staff and excellent service. Cannot fault the food 10/10 for all dishes and the views are to die for! Only negative was the wifi which was very slow/cutting off, and the hot tub was a little cold, could only stay in 5 minutes and it's a fixed temperature. Overall would definitely recommend!

The best hotel stay of my life!!!

We stayed 2 nights at Astarte Suites during our honeymoon trip to Greece. We've both travelled the world and I would have to say it's the best place I've ever stayed... The view is just absolutely amazing, so serene and relaxing. But what really made our stay was the amazing staff at Astarte, it really is the BEST service I have recieved ANYWHERE in the world. From the Effie who was upbeat and friendly when she checked us in, to George the awesome waiter, and Kostas the manager who made sure that everything was that we had anything we needed... He even gave me aloe Vera spray for my sunburn! The cleaning & wait staff were also extremely polite & curteous, working so hard in the sweltering heat with a smile on their face the whole time. The food there was some of the best we had anywhere in 10 days in Greece.... Snacks by the pool, dinner and breakfast served on your private balcony... All incredible! Also provided us a free transfer to the port when we checked out. We had such an amazing stay, were sad to leave and would DEF go back to Santorini to stay there again. Thanks so much to all the awesome staff @ Astarte! Escape the crowds in Oia, chill out and take it all in from a distance. Highly recommended!
