I booked a premium suite well in advance with hot tub and sea view but unfortunately we were given the different room and we were not notified about that, they informed us that they are giving different room when they were transferring us from airport to room in the night, we can’t deny it because it was already midnight

Great property. Staff was amazing the the hospitality was unmatched. The room is spacious and very clean. The ambience was very relaxing. The area is quiet and at the top of the hill so you have amazing views. Not in walkable area so you need some sort of transportation. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful location.

This is away from all the chaos. It’s great for kids. The staff were lovely and always made us feel welcome. Great pool bar with cocktails, cold beer and great food. Great pool for all of us and the view back to oia, Fira and the volcanoe was pretty special. Breakfast was awesome. I feel incredibly relaxed after staying here.

Peaceful and beautiful stay

The views from Kalestesia Suites was absolutely stunning all day round. As it is at the top of the hill it is very peaceful. There aren’t that many rooms which makes it feel quite private.
The hotel has everything we needed and the food was very tasty! They have a small team of staff who you’ll get to know quickly who will do anything to help and are so friendly. There is also a lovely cute dog on site who lives at the hotel who I loved cuddles with.
A special mention to Theodorus Who was so incredibly helpful and kind. He helped us out and was on the other end of the phone whenever we needed him. Thank you Theodorus!
Be aware - As it is right at the top of a hill it makes it very hard work to walk to the hotel! If you aren’t fit you will struggle. Taxi’s are super expensive on the island and car hire isn’t the cheapest.

Lovely staff, accommodation and beautiful sunsets

My daughter and I really enjoyed our short break at the Kalastesia Suites. The accommodation was really nice - we had a Comfort Suite and it was perfect for the two of us. We loved our little balcony overlooking the pool and the bay. The sunsets were gorgeous! The staff were all helpful and obliging. We were particularly impressed with Nick and Stavros in the bar/restaurant who were great company - we chatted with them a lot. The food served by the restaurant was excellent. The hotel staff arranged airport transfers for us and taxis to and from places that we wanted to visit, and were good at giving us recommendations regarding what to see and do. All in all, it was a fabulous few days and it was over much too soon!

The orientation when checking in was overkill. The manager is very nice but it just wasn't necessary to spend a half hour with him. This is a remote property and we were not told until we arrived that there is no longer a restaurant on property. However, this was a little inaccurate as there is a pool bar to order food from. So, there isn't a formal restaurant but we could get food each day. Also, there were 3 couples that checked in the day we did. We had made our reservation first and yet we were put in a temporary room and had to move the next morning. It would have been so nice to have been settled in our room from the first night. Lastly, it did seem like the staff felt a little put out when we modified the time we wanted breakfast and what we wanted for breakfast. That could just be Greek culture. I would still recommend the hotel.

Great hotel with exceptional service

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) had a great time at Kalestesia Suites. The suites are large compared to normal hotel rooms. Our room had a hot tub on the second floor balcony with an incredible view of the caldera. The kids spent many happy hours swimming in the pool. The hotel's host, Michael, helped us with everything we needed from restaurant advice to boat tours. When we chose to follow online reviews instead, we usually regretted it.

30th Anniversary holiday.

We booked our holiday for our 30th Anniversary after checking the information on your website.
We were looking to using the suite amenities which included the restaurant/bar/lounge/pool bar/plunge pool/bathrobe and slippers! We arrived and we were looking forward to a meal and a drink in the evening after our long journey. None of the above amenities were open, after my husband made a comment they provided us with one drink in our suite. The nearest food shop is about an hours walk but no hob to be able to cook yourself anything hot in your suite. Be aware that you do need a car to get about and walking back to the suites is all up hill. With this in mind after going out during the day or for a meal we would off liked to relax having a drink at their bar during the evening but it was never open.
The pool bar during the day didn't have any staff after they cleaned the area and put the towels out.
There was no plunge pool in our suite/bathrobes or slippers.
The staff did explain the area with a map and arranged the hire car for us.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kalestesia Suites and have no complaints. Our room was so lovely and breakfast was delicious every day! The staff was so kind and accommodating! The only thing I would say is to be sure you have a small car as the road to get to the hotel has an area between two buildings that is quite tight even for a small vehicle. That being said, we absolutely loved the location on the southern end of the island. We will definitely be going back!

I highly recommend this hotel, is beautiful and great location the view is just amazing and I was really surprise of the room was beautiful it was our last day in Santorini and we just stay at the hotel enjoying the room.

Great breakfast you can even choose what you want to eat, great service and attention of the reception guy. We really have a great time. I will take this hotel next time.

Fantastic views, staff was very friendly but a bit slow with service. Most likely because they’re understaffed. Roads in that particular area are a mess. Most taxis and/or transfers will not drive you in front of the hotel reception. Best bet is to call reception upon arrival so that someone can pick you up and bring you to reception.

Unforgettable view, breakfast, and wonderful Harry

Kalestesia, Santorini was by far the highlight of our stay in the Greek Islands. We had an absoulutely beautiful view. Fresh and delicious breakfast every morning. Lovely view from the terrace. WE all loved Harry an associate of the hotel. He was so knowledgable, kind and helpful throughout our whole stay. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and kind. The wifi was great, and the rooms very clean, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful pool. Gorgeous at night! Tennis shoes for walking into town a necessity! Would highly recommend

excellent hotel with amazing staff

Me and my girlfriend booked this place for the week and wasn't disappointed at all , the room we got was lovely living area with a bedroom on a small mezzanine floor with amazing views , very clean and tidy , host charis is very welcoming just wants you to relax and enjoy from the moment you arrive.
Pool area is kept very clean and the views are amazing too , all the staff are very very helpful and the food is great . Breakefast is perfect to start the day not too heavy and enough choice too plus any requests you have are never too much for the staff
Hotel is a little out the way but we knew that when booking anyway , we often got taxis each day to different destinations around island and for nights out , had a personal phone number to taxi driver which made things very easy and less stressful , all in all was a fantastic place that offeres everything you need for your Santorini get away
Thanks to charis and his team for a fantastic week and looking after us top service and lovely hotel

Hotel away from the noise!

Choose this hotel if you want a get away from the busy cities of Oia and Fira. These cities are a short distance by cab or drive so easy to access. Our hotel is a short walk from a little village with a few great restaurants and about a 30 minute walk from the famous red beach. In the morning when I awoke, I could hear on the birds chirping and breeze blowing. Hotel grounds are great and the view from my room was a perfect 10.

Amazing place - stay here!

Everything about Kalestesia Suites is exceptional. We travelled as a small family of two adults and one 7yr old, and on first arrival, we were struck by the location of the hotel at the top of Akrotiri, with views both across the caldera and over the south of the island (we arrived at night time, and the views in the morning in daylight were even more stunning).

However, the one thing I really want to stress is how good the service and attention from the hotel staff was. We arrived at around 11pm due to a delay to our flight, and were welcomed with a carafe of local Greek wine, sandwiches and fruit. Right throughout the holiday, Samson and his staff were available to help with any questions, but also gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time at the hotel. Our return flight was also later on in the evening, but we were free to use the pool and gym changing facilities after we had checked out - the charges for our final lunch and drinks were also waived which was totally unexpected. It was these kinds of small touches that mean we would recommend Kalestesia to anybody.

There are many other positives that you would want to experience for yourself: The hotel was kept spotlessly clean at all times; breakfasts were great with changes to the items being served each day; the rooms were serviced every day; the buildings were all obviously well maintained and cared for.

Amazingly personal experience in a lovely secluded part of the island. On first named terms with the owner Samson.
- the best sunset views from our balcony.

Cannot flaw anything about the stay. I hate to raise the profile of a place we loved so much, but we will definitely be back.

Best place to stay in Santorini!!

We had the best time staying at Kalestesia Suites. It's in a quiet part of the island and away from the crowds and feels like a real getaway. Sampson and his team anticipated everything we needed and really made our stay feel effortless. The chef at the restaurant was fabulous and we had some of the best food at the hotel during our stay in Santorini. A car is a definite must as the hotel is not within walking distance to the village or any other amenities.

I never write reviews. Am motivated to write because of the charm, warmth of this resort. Breakfasts delivered to balcony are heavenly. Staff will go to any lengths to make vacation outstanding. Very laid back. Arranged for us to get car then atvs then sea kayaking. Long way from Fira but only 20 minutes via car Great get away.

Excellent View, Wonderful Staff & Worth it!

Great experience from beginning to end. Samson was extremely helpful in getting us an ATV rental, reserving seats for us on a Catamaran cruise and explaining the top sites to see on the Island. We arrived late and he went out of his way to leave some nice sandwiches and champagne for use. Lefty who works as a server for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very accommodating, polite and fun to talk with.

The view alone makes this place worth staying at. Combine that with the pool, spa and gym facilities and it's location on the quiet, authentic southern side of the island and you're set to enjoy the real Santorini.

If I could change one thing, I would stay in one of the upper floors with a private balcony to enjoy the view that much more.

Kalestesia Suites are wonderful

Exquisite property in a delightfully remote location. Need to drive through a very narrow passage, which you are certain at first is the wrong way. Totally worth the quirky drive.
Samson who manages the property is always available to help with directions, recommendations, loaning an adapter, whatever you need.
Breakfast is served in your room so you can enjoy the views from your balcony. We decided to eat in the dining room where they bring you whatever you want. Breakfast was delicious with yogurt, fresh honey, homemade jams, a basket of fresh bread and buns, eggs ham or meats if you eat that. One day they also brought us chocolate crepes.
The room was lovely and had a kitchenette w fridge and sink. The only negative was the sheets which were super starched and not soft.
The pool overlooks the sea and mountains and there is a private jacuzzi and Hamam /steam room you can reserve.
I would definitely return!

Hands down the best hotel in Greece

I would highly recommend this place and would not stay anywhere else in Santorini anymore. Photos on hotels.com of the place are accurate. Mother daughter trip -- my mom and I had the most fantastic stay in a 1 br villa. The villa was well maintained and located on the highest point of Acrotiri, which means you get a unparalleled view of the island. While the location is fairly isolated, there shouldn't be any problem if you have a car. We were able to visit Oia and Fira, a few small towns, and lounged around the hotel all within two days. Delicious breakfast that included greek yogurt, fruit, fresh squeezed oj and some pastries. All things aside, the best part of our stay was the hospitality. Samson the manager made sure every detail was catered to while the restaurant staff were attentive and friendly.

Outstanding!!!

Stayed here for a week and loved every minute! It's perched on too of the highest point in Akrotiri so our room had the best views if the caldera. Our room had a mezzanine and two balconies which meant we could enjoy the views even more. The staff we very friendly and couldn't do enough for us and the hotel areas and rooms were kept spotless. There was an ambiance of absolute calm at all times which made it the perfect place to relax. The breakfast could be served in the restaurant, by the pool or on your own terrace which was a lovely touch and there was something different everyday. The restaurant menu was also very tasty and reasonably priced. The views from the hotel were some of the best I've seen making the sunsets superb, to get this view though it was atop of a steep hill from the Akrotiri square. This was fine for us but some may want to hire a car, we just had an extra glass of wine to propel us in the evening! There is a great bus service from the square which is a great way to travel, it stops at around 9.30pm though so we just caught a taxi from wherever we were. I loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful island

We spent 6 nights here from 16th July, 2013. We couldn't fault the service and friendliness of the staff. They were helpful with their recommendations of where to go and what to see. The room was very comfortable and we were lucky enough to have upper floor room with small living area and dining and steps that led upstairs to the bedroom on a mezzanine.
The views from the hotel were amazing. The photos on the website were very accurate and as beautiful as shown. I would happily stay here again and would gladly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in a quieter area of the island. Although it was around 15 - 20 minutes in a taxi to Fira, it was worth the drive for shopping, restaurants and views and then to return to The Kalestesia Suites and relax by the pool with a couple of cocktails.
We loved the time we spent at at this family hotel. Food and drinks reasonable price and good portions.
Hope to return again soon to this beautiful part of the world.

Chambre spacieuse avec vue à couper le souffle. Dommage que la prestation ne soit pas au rendez-vous. Jacuzzi sale pour lequel aucune solution satisfaisante n’a été trouvée par le gérant. Nombreux problèmes d’électricité affectant l’établissement mais surtout notre logement. Encore une fois aucune solution proposée par le gérant. Prestation dégradée n’étant pas en accord avec le standing revendiqué ! Très décevant.

El hotel está en zona alejada de difícil acceso, en parte alta, muy expuesto al viento, es necesario alquilar un auto pequeño para poder llegar y moverse, yo coordiné con el hotel para que me recojan con mi familia desde el puerto pero nunca llegaron a recogernos, tuvimos que buscar transporte para ir al hotel que fue difícil ya que por lo alejado de este no quieren ir, tomamos 2 transportes y llegamos a la parte baja de la montaña, tuvimos que subir la cuesta empedrada con maletas para llegar al hotel, fue muy difícil y desagradable el inicio. El personal es amable pero limitado en número y preparación, no se dan abasto, el servicio por eso es regular. El hotel Tiene 2 zonas, la cercana a la piscina (blanca con celeste) que está muy bien y la más alejada que es más nueva (De color beige) que es incómoda y alejada, tienes que bajar y subir una pendiente empinada cada vez que sales o vas al cuarto.
Me tocó estar en la zona alejada sin saberlo con antelación, no tuve servicio de limpieza de cuartos, y el viento muy fuerte le da de forma directa, alguien mayor de edad o con alguna discapacidad no podría estar en esas habitaciones.
Por otro lado, no es verdad que el hotel está a pocos minutos caminando de la playa, esto es falso, es prácticamente imposible salir y volver o llegar a la playa o a cualquier lugar sin tener auto. Este hotel hace sentido solo si alquilas auto y te hospedas en las habitaciones de la zona cercana a la piscina (las blancas con celeste)

Utrolig hyggelig personale som hjalp til med bæring av bagasje, levering av mat på rom og hjelpsom med alle spørsmål man hadde underveis. Gymmen hadde minimalt med utstyr, en liten oppgradering av utstyr her hadde gjort mye. Utrolig vakker utsikt fra hotellet og rommet vi fikk!

Nuestra primera vez visitando esta ciudad y este hotel desde que llegamos nos quedamos impresionados por el diseño de las instalaciones el ambiente todo muy bonito, las piscinas, la vista de la playa impresionante , pudimos disfrutar del sunset más hermoso desde este hotel , el restaurantes del lugar increíble , un hotel donde puedes encontrar todo , el personal demasiado atento tienen uno de los mejores staff que hemos disfrutado en cualquier otro hotel recomiendo mil veces este hotel quien desee tener unas vacaciones para llevar en su memoria de por vida este es el lugar nos encanto

Hotel sem estrutura profissional.
Recepção caindo aos pedaços. Nao fomos informafos qur nossa hospedagem seria em um anexo (novo) distante do hotel. Cafe da.manha servido no quarto (eles que escolhem o que voce irá comer) muito simples, pouca fruta, nem manteiga oferecem. Tudo que voce solicitar a recepção, reze para ser atendido.
O cúmulo foi que no primeiro dia de hospedagem, saimos para passear e recebe uma mensagem que deveria voltar ao hotel pois minha diaria teria vencido e meu quarto seria limpo para um novo hospede. Tínhamos reserva paga para tres dias.
Nem desculpa pelo erro ou no check out perguntaram se gostaram.
Nao vale a pena somente pela vista.
Vista você terá pela.ilha toda.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti nel mese di Agosto presso questa struttura. Al momento del Check-In ci è stato comunicato che avremmo dovuto cambiare per ben 2 volte la camera per lavori di ristrutturazione. Nelle prime due camere il bagno puzzava di marcio.
La colazione è stata l'esperienza peggiore! Non era a buffet ma bisognava fare la propria scelta la sera precedente specificando gli alimenti (pochissima scelta) e persino l'orario (8.30-9.30-10). Dosi ridotte e servizio pessimo effettuato da un cameriere immusonito e incapace di comunicare. L'ultima camera nel nuovo edificio distante dal principale era in effetti nuova e decisamente più bella. La colazione veniva servita in camera senza purtroppo poterla scegliere. Abbiamo quindi avuto la sorpresa ricevere una colazione da noi non gradita. Ciliegina sulla torta, l'addetto al transfer in auto dall'Hotel verso l'aeroporto (servizio al costo di 40 euro) non si è nemmeno degnato di aiutarci nel trasporto e carico dei bagagli. Non consigliamo assolutamente questa struttura.
