The hotel arranged a pick up from the port. The staff at the reception were really helpful explaining how to move around the island, what to visit and where to find good food. Room was amazing, wonderful view, huge balcony with a jacuzzi. Breakfast was delicious which was included in our booking. Check out time is supposed to be at 11;00AM, they let us use the room till 1:30PM as we had an afternoon flight.

The Apanemo hotel was on the quieter south side of the island. The view of the Caldera from our room was spectacular. The staff was extremely friendly and the included breakfast was delicious with many choices available. Don’t miss the ruins and the beach at Akroteri which are close by. There’s a boat service at the beach for €15 round-trip per person that will take you to the white beach, the red beach and the black beach and you can get out and swim and rent loungers and umbrellas for five euros per person and they will come back every hour or so to pick you up. We preferred the white beach because it had a sandy . We also rented a car for €50 a day and made our way easily around the whole island using navigation on our phone.

Fabulous hotel, amazing views and staff

Ignore the star rating, this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We selected the hotel based on the quality of the reviews and they are all justified.

It is a beautiful hotel perched on the hillside over looking the Caldera and the whole island. The view is stunning. The hotel has great staff who are extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, well equipped and from what we could see all have amazing views.

It is not for those who want to be in the ‘thick of it’, although it is an oasis of calm compared to overcrowded tourist hotspots of Fira and Oia. The staff will take you by car (and pick you up) to local restaurants, although it is only a 15 minute picturesque walk to the centre Akrotiri (although is a bit of climb on the way back).

Brilliant hotel we will come back, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Sitting up high in the mountain this 5 star hotel is very modern, very up to date for today’s standards and has a very beautiful view of Santorini. Apanemo Hotel has a very friendly & generous staff, it’s super clean & also provides a very good breakfast with room service. I would like to state that there’s at least 2 stores nearby, a couple of restaurants & a beach within walking distance if not a very short drive from the hotel. Overall I’m very pleased in my selection of choosing Apanemo Hotel in Akrotiri as my hotel of choice and it’s definitely a hotel I highly recommend & would definitely go back to if I where to go back to Greece.

Where do I even begin? These incredible people went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. Even before our arrival, they reached out to arrange our airport pickup. They were there right on time, welcoming us with warmth and taking the time to share everything from the must see local sights to the bus routes and schedules. They even offer a complimentary shuttle to the nearby village. And surprised us with a beautiful bouquet of balloons and wine for my daughter’s birthday.
Throughout our stay, they were always attentive, anticipating our needs before we even asked. The food? Absolutely outstanding..fresh, local, and truly the best we’ve ever had. The rooms and views are nothing short of breathtaking..honestly, the best on the entire island.
But what truly sets this place apart is the people. You’re not treated like just another guest, you’re welcomed like family. From Lia, Evelyn, Dimitri, Vaggelis to the owner himself and the amazing kitchen team, to every single person who works behind the scenes, each one played a part in making our stay unforgettable.
And then there’s Isabelle… our ‘island mom’ She’s the heart of the place making everyone laugh, lifting spirits, and caring for you like you’re one of her own. She has a heart as big as her smile.
I simply can’t say enough about this place and its people. Thank you beyond words for giving us memories we’ll treasure forever. We will absolutely be back. Lots of love from Canada ♥️

Phenomenal stay in the perfect location.

If you’re looking for the perfect blend of breathtaking views, personalized service, and boutique hotel luxury, Apanemo Hotel is it. Located in what I believe is the best area of Santorini, this small boutique hotel is truly a gem. It’s away from the crowds but still close enough to everything you might want to see or do. The views are absolutely spectacular, especially at sunrise and sunset. You can enjoy them from the beautiful pool area or your own private balcony. What really sets Apanemo apart is the personalized service. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind, making you feel like more than just a guest.

It’s also a great value for the money, offering a luxurious and peaceful experience without the inflated price tag of more touristy spots. The atmosphere is relaxed, intimate, and authentically Greek.

Make sure to take a catamaran cruise with Caldera Yachting. It’s an unforgettable way to experience the island from the water and adds a magical touch to an already perfect stay.
Highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.Special thanks to Leah and Isabel for making our stay so incredibly fabulous!

Sorry to say but Horrible first night. Checked in at 10 pm . The heater was broken . Asked front desk . He said it’s working . We were shivering cold with humidity and cold temp of 55 to 60 .
Next morning they checked again and said the heating ac unit broken and switched to a different room . bathroom does not have exhaust or good ventilation or does not work. So , all clothes towel and blankets were damp .
The staff is very nice . Greek hospitality smile and all is there . Breakfast was very good . Sitdown breakfast is nice.Location is very good private and quiet. They do treat you extremely well . Except that they need to put proper ventilation and exhaust in the bathroom. Also , they should have waived one night charge for me but they only offered 50 euro discount for the transfer .
I got sick due to cold and extreme humidity due to improper ventilation.
Angelina at front desk is really helpful. Isabella took good care for breakfast. Spiros the manager did the best he could to help in the situation.
If our heater was not broken or bathroom ventilation would have been properly done , it could have been 4 star.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We decided to stay in Akrotiri instead of Oil/Fira to get away from the cruise ships and large crowds and we are so glad we did. From the moment you arrive at the hotel, the staff makes you feel welcome and it feels like paradise.

The property was so beautiful that it was hard to leave each day. It is about a 10 minute walk to Akrotiri village, however they do complimentary transports until 11pm. Plus, they will organize transfers to any part of the island (I believe it was $50 to Oia each way). It was so nice to not have to worry about calling a taxi or having enough cash!

The staff was absolutely wonderful and did all they could to make our stay wonderful. Plus, the free breakfast was delicious and you choose what you will like to eat each evening.

If you are heading to Santorini, you must stay here!

We'd split our September holiday between the Oia side of the island and Apanemo in Akrotiri to give us the opportunity to see as much of the island as possible. Finding the hotel is easy and they have a car park. It is impossible to give Apanemo less than five stars. The reason is that their staff are so nice and friendly and helpful. They are family friendly and kids were there laughing and playing in the beautiful infinity pools. This was the only time we saw kids enjoying Santorini as this is not an island that is generally suited to kids holidays. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a drink and taken through the wonders of Santorini and possible things to do, boat trips, wine tours, etc. Reception can help with taking you to the local area for free, and further afar for a fee. We used this to go to and from Akrotiri restaurants, the bus stop and a night out to Fira. Buses from Akrotiri cost 2€ a person and highly recommended to get around, though the last bus back from Fira is 9pm in September. It was very easy to get around in our hired car and using What3Words on the island is a great way to navigate. We ate in the restaurant and their food and drink was excellent with large portions. The breakfasts were all lovely and we recommend all the options. The rooms were more of a small house, it was an excellent size and we had booked the Traditional Suite, Balcony, Sea View (& Garden view). Great views of the caldera. Convenient for great beaches.

The breakfast which we ordered the day before was just perfect and the level of service was second to none. We really appreciated the free taxi service to and from Akrotiri village and using WhatsApp to chat with reception at any time during the day to make requests and book restaurants. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us. Every member of the team was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay the most enjoyable experience. The room was original and felt secluded as the design of the building means you feel individual. The views were stunning and you find yourself captivated every time you open the window or walk outside. A view I will never be able to replicate and a unique selling point of this hotel. Food was top quality and plenty of choice every day for breakfast. The pool location and style means it’s hard not to go in and again enjoy the view as you waste the day away relaxing. The hotel staff gave great advice about local attractions and experiences and can sort anything you need and help translate with local companies on the island. The Apanemo Hotel is away from the busy areas yet within easy access of them as the island is so petite. We could see Oia from our window, it’s the opposite side of the whole island from us, yet only took 30-40 minutes drive.
We look forward to visiting again one day and I know replicating the views and feel of this hotel are going to be a monumental task.

This location is breathtaking, and the rooms are HUGE! This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. And the free breakfast was PHENOMENAL!!
