Attached to a small mall which was handy for dining. Supermarket available.The area surrounding the hotel was dubious.
Hotel room was clean with fridge.

This is a good hotel. Suitably located connected to a mall. One of the more affordable options in it's class if that is what you are looking for. Also offers great views of the city if you are on the higher floors.

Having been visiting this property for a few years now.
Housekeeping is extremely poor, no dental kits, an almost finished toilet roll , toilet was not working properly on the flush, safe was locked when I reached room, lights were not working even with card inserted.

Only positive is the hospitality of Thandi at the front desk

The place looked good.
1. Getting there was hard as the location was not clear.
2. Reception and welcome area were very good
3. The room itself looked good
4. The shower needs to be worked on, it does not look clean. The shower head was also not soo good it looked rusty
5. I found 2 cockroaches in the toilet
6. The bed made my back very sore
7. they need to buy new pillows, it was just fluff
8. Water was warm not hot which made it hard to shower in the very cold pretoria weather.

I want my money back

I did a reservation with the hotel on the 7th everything was done online and i paid in full also online. The following day when i must go and check in i was told the hotel is closed. If the hotel is closed why don't put a notice to show that you are temporarily closed, now i booked with my money and i can't even get the money back because you are not loyal to your customers. You took my money but the room i did not get

Avoid this property at all costs !

Would not stop here if you paid me ! I stayed here at the end of a great 2 weeks in South Africa with my parents. On 2 occasions other residents of the hotel entered my parents rooms as they had been given keys by reception as they had their room shown as vacant on their system. Terrified my parents we ended up leaving the hotel. The terrace of the property was also covered in broken glass.

OK and Basic City Hotel

If you want a basic city hotel with good service, this is the place for you. The rooms are just what you need - nothing more and the bathroom too. The staff was friendly and assisted with what we asked for. Note that Uber cars are scared to drop off and pick you up at the hotel due to meter taxis lining up around the corner outside the mall. If you do not have to stay in the city, I would pick a nicer location in another area (Brooklyn or Waterkloof)

Unpleasant stay.

On checkin , Edward gave us a dirty room - 3rd floor by the lift which was not cleaned and beds not made up - we had to go down stairs again for our room to be changed ,we were given the 10th floor , nice view of the pool , the breakfast was cold which is so unappetizing , the staff was very friendly though at the breakfast.

Nice hotel on top of hectic youthful shoppingmall.

The hotel is good with pleasant and serviceminded staff. Good enough restaurant wifi all over. It is on top of a youthful shopping mall making it easy to to get to a number of restaurants and bars, as well as some shops. Sunnyside is an area making a comeback, very young and lively, but still challenging and not a totally safe area to walk around at night. The entrance to the hotel by car is a bit challenging with a narrow drive in sharp circles. The room was OK but toilet had a leakage, which was not fixed \"not a problem\". The South African problem of loadshedding was at a peak during the stay, and changes between hotel's own electricity and public electricity knocked out plugs on a couple of occations. However, that was sorted fast by the hotel maintanance staff, and the interruptions when the electricity was out were minimal.

The service is of the highest standard.

I arrived at the hotel and checked in with a very helpful desk clerk, who was interested in ensuring I got a good room at a good height, the 10th floor and she took the time to detail information about services in and around the hotel that had access to a shopping mall where I could obtain food as the hotel was not offering dinner at that time.

On checking out, another desk clerk helpfully went out of her way to obtain tourist information for me and offer assistance to the hailed Uber driver for using the parking for free.

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool at the 2nd floor level and the upper floor rooms have stunning views of Pretoria. (One such view included.)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This was our second time at this hotel and we like it. This time we asked for a room with two beds as their double beds are very small and that made the sleep a lot better. The rooms are average, carpets are a bit stained, air-conditioning didn't work very well, door was hard to close, but it's not bad. Staff is friendly and helpful, wonderful breakfast buffet, nice mall attached to hotel. Nice view over Pretoria in the evening.

Stayed for one week with family, hotel was nice and clean. One thing they need is a fridge in the room. Overall it was perfect place to stay when all you need is somewhere to sleep and shower, we had tours and day trips booked so never really stayed in the hotel all day apart from when we first arrived, but there is an outside swimming pool and mall to keep you occupied.

Nice clean hotel with good staff

Had a nice stay. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall, that was quiet helpful. prices in that mall is slightly higher than others tho. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice but could have a bit more variety. One advice would be to be sure you put your \" do not disturb\" on the door at night, cause the maid comes at 6:15am to make the room. And if there is no do not disturb she starts knocking endlessly trying to get in.

Clean and functional, but not much else

Rooms are extremely small but modern and updated, with warm wood accents, newer carpets and TVs, separate toilet and bath compartments, and stylish linens. But all that can’t make up for the fact that two people are very cramped in a standard room, which has a small bed, and does not have closets or even any place to put a chair or very large suitcase. (A solo business traveler would be best suited to this type of room.) The cheerful furnishings also could not mask the fact that there were a number of small things broken: the light switches, the TV, the toilet flush. There was a dank smell in the hallway too — I’m fairly sure it was emanating from the stairwell, whose door was left propped open. The fact that the hotel is directly connected to the Sunnypark Centre is a plus, but you don’t want to be out wandering after dark, and anyway the neighborhood has a distinct lack of upscale restaurants and nightlife. The hotel’s location is only ideal for those who are looking for an economical place to lay their head for a night or two while doing business in the government offices that line the adjacent blocks, or at one of the private firms in the CBD. But if you have the cash and want something more stylish in a better neighborhood, head out to Lynnwood or Menlyn Park.

Staff inefficient and tired. Reception slow. Spoke to duty mngr about a sleeper couch for child, after saying he would make bed up, he forgets, so had to call housekeeping late and make own bed. After function, went to bar, asked for tea, said it will take a long time, presumably to discourage us from ordering. When it arrived, had two tea bags for 4 people. Wouldn't go back there.

Not nice when hotel is full

The staff is very kind but the hotel is too big and when is full there is a serious problems with the elevators. They are slow and during morning or evening rush hours is almost impossible to use. Then if you're in the last floor you need to exercise (11 floors!).

Apt for a night's sleep

We needed a clean bed to stay over in Pretoria while we were driving from Kruger to Sun City. Worth its cost; however do not expect anything fancy. Help yourselves with your luggage bags. And, there is no clear big board directing towards hotel entrance. FYI, You take the Entrance gate to the mall, take your parking ticket (reimbursed by the hotel) and head to the top most floor. That is where it is.Room could have been a little more tidier. Breakfast was average. Best part is it is connect to the mall so you can dine in the restaurants.
