Premier Hotel Roodevalley is the best of the best

From our Arrival to Departure the service was out of this world, I was there with my lady friends celebrating my 40th Birthday. Breakfast, Dinner, Massage & picnic everything was well organized the staff are friendly and smiling at all times,. They made my weekend extra special loved every minute of the time I have spend the, will be taking my kids for visit soon.

Very disappointed

Checkin was fine. Took just a moment. However, we were disappointed in the room. The aircon did not work well. The internet NEVER worked inside the room, and when we went to notify the front desk of the issues, we discovered that the phone line did not work. I went to the front desk and they promised to send maintenance. They never showed up the whole time we were there.
So, it was hot all night, and then discovered there was only one towel for 2 people. Would not recommend this hotel. And when we went to check out, all they said was sorry, and never once asked if there was a way to rectify the situation.

Good family night away

This was a lovely night away for Mother’s Day. There is plenty to do and the kids loved the outdoor jucuzzi.
The bedroom was comfortable and clean. Beds wonderful. View brilliant.
Downfall was a lack of maintenance. Our hot blanket was missing a plug and on the other double bed hot blanket was stolen. They did send maintenance and did try to help. Dinner was a let down. Food is expensive with little variety. Plated meals would be better.

This was our Third time at Faircity, service was not as good as our two previous trips. No towels in the bathroom, no dustbin in the room, no water to drink. Rooms need some TLC, new carpets, wooden doors need to be redone.

The hotel has such lovely amenities, with fantastic scenery to go with it. We had poor service on our first day, we had to complain and make such a scene for things to improve. Hotel was not prepared for the number of guests who had checked in. Previous maintenance issues were not addressed and remained unaddressed when we left. Also prepare to be shortchanged if you're vegetarian or eat halaal food. It's an inconvenience to the chef to cater for you! Really not worth the money you pay for breakfast to be included.

Our stay was very nice! Breakfast was great! Only thing that bothered was that there was only 2 towels for 4 guests, and the room smelled a bit like wet carpet!

stunning room and very comfortable - clean and with aircon.
At first they gave us the wrong room - I had booked an Executive suite with a river view. Had to go back to reception and complain so they corrected it but we still didn't get our river view.
Service at the pool could be improved - it was boiling hot and we kept having to walk all the way to the restaurant bar to find a waitress and order our refreshments ourselves.

The level of noise was too high!

I did not get what I expected. I was told that I did not pay while checking in, but I paid when I booked. I was promised that a feedback will be given to me since the system was slow, I left without any feedback. I had a special request for biltong platter, to my surprise I wad given kebabs, no communication before hand.

Vey good value for money.

This place is very well looked after. The staff is friendly and helpful they even offered to help us dish up for breakfast. The breakfast was great and fresh. They had different sizes of cup and mugs at the coffee/Tea station which I so appreciated. so thoughtful.
The rooms are spacious and clean . bedding was comfortable, I loved the fact that all rooms has a sliding door to the garden area. we loved it and we will definitely go back.

The property is also easy to find.

Our stay was great. we went at the low season so the hotel was not too busy. the staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. their burger for lunch was not wow but edible. i would suggest they put a minibar fridge in the rooms, that would've made our stay more comfortable. our overall experience was great. we enjoyed.

Nice place for a night, very friendly staff

Location is very hard to find without any GPS address given. We loved the jaccuzi outside in the beautiful surroundin. The room is nice but the bed too small (queen bed and not king bed).

So much potential

The property is amazing with so much potential, but needs a bit of love. It has an outdoor Jacuzzi which is a huge plus, but it needs a good clean, and the water isn't nearly warm enough. The restaurant is also a little run down with not much variety in terms of food. Reception and staff were amazing and really helpful - they went out of their way. So I feel a little sad to give this a lowish rating, but his place has so much potential. They had free wifi, but basically unusable.

Outstanding Service and Food

Everyone from the Front Desk to the staff serving and making food even the cleaners were all very friendly. We felt at home immediately and my children felt safe. There is a lot to do for the kids and the food was exceptionally good as their service. The manageress was friendly and helpful as all the staff. We loved it and will be going back soon. I can recommend it to everyone wanting to sleep over or just stay a weekend.

Peaceful Hotel close to Roodeplaat Dam

We loved out stay at Faircity. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and happy. The dinner was very tasty and more than enough to choose from. Breakfasts were delicious. Room service was OK, took a bit long. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi were clean and great for the kids. The gym is very well equipped and the sauna is clean. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The bird life is amazing. We will be back.

I was very upset with hotels.com because they did not send me the confirmation email, with all the rules etc, so I was unaware when I was checking in at 10 that check in is only from 2pm. Although the hotel did not charge me the R200 early booking charge, it left me embarrassed and irritated. We waited another half an hour for the room to be ready. When we got in, the remote for the aircon was missing. We had to stand on a chair to reach the main switch. We could not phone the desk because the contact numbers were not by the phone. We were later given another remote.
I had to remove the electric blanket from the bed ( it is the middle of summer) because the heating control was ontop of the mattress and it dug into my body when lying on the bed. Very difficult to remove since it was taped together with the next bed's wires and together into 1 plug with the floor lamp. This is a fire hazard.
No toilet spray in the toilet, windows could not open. Kettle leaked.

The grass and gardens were wonderful.
Breakfast was very nice. Dinner, they did not have the beverage we wanted, 2 choices. Ordered fillet steak and got 2 pieces minute steak.

3-star hotel, but no wifi, no slippers and no turn down service in room 1 and 2 as advertised. Was informed in an email that there will be bar fridges in both rooms, but then only room 1 had one. Room 1 & 2 supposed to be the posh rooms, so why remove bar fridge and take to a cheaper room? Batteries of TV remote control in room were flat, called reception, none delivered. Bedding in room 2 infested with bed bugs or fleas as my mom had many bite marks on her legs and arms, and this is not from mosquitoes. So when you check in, switch on the electrical blankets immediately as high heat kills bed bugs. If you will stay longer, bring own plastic table and beach umbrella for the outside verandas. Room 1 has a better view than room 2. Buffet breakfast very nice, just be prepared for pushing and shoving during the festive season as it can get crowded. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as the aircon can be noisy.
