The hotel’s climatization system was completely inoperable throughout my stay. As a direct result, during a period of extreme cold temperatures and continuous rain over two days, I was left without any form of heating. These conditions created unsafe and unhealthy lodging circumstances, which led to my developing a sinus infection. The situation was further aggravated by the presence of significant mold within the property, compounding the health risks.

Critically, the hotel failed to disclose these material deficiencies at the time of check-in, depriving me of the ability to make an informed decision or to seek alternative accommodations.

Compounding the matter, the hotel initially refused to process any refund through Hotels.com despite my attempts to do so. It was only after I escalated the issue directly with the hotel—copying the Consulate General of Spain in Miami—that they agreed to issue a partial refund of approximately 10%, an inadequate amount given the health impact, lack of disclosure, and substandard conditions experienced.

Great for exploring Cadiz old town; and on a lovely square with lots of bars/restaurants. Room was basic but good bathroom. Housekeeping excellent. The bar/cafe downstairs is good and open late. Breakfast a bit dull, and indoors (even when they have a terrace). Reception very helpful. Stored luggage no issue. 15 minute walk from bus/train station - use Google not the street signs though.

Lovely stay

Had a lovely stay at this hotel everything was clean and comfortable, no complaints.

It's location is perfect for exploring the streets of Cadiz and a great icecream almost next door.

The only thing the hotel should improve on is to provide water in the mini fridge and replace paper cups with ceramic ones.

The hotel was centrally located and everything was super walkable. If you come by car you will have to park at a car park a bit away as most of the city center is pedestrian only (or cars for residents) Hotel staff was friendly and rooms were on the larger side for Europe.

The location is the best, right in the old town and in a street where taxis could drive you to the front door, which is not the case in most hotels in the Old Town. TONS of great places to eat, within walking distance from the Cathedral and main attractions....the hotel is old and in great maintenance condition. The rooms are small and comfortable.

Very pleasant stay, clean and convenient to shopping etc.. no parking so had to leave in an underground car park, 17 euros per 24 hrs. One big draw back was the lack of tea and coffee, yes, kettle in room, requested tea and coffee from reception to be told sorry don,t have any!! Very strange, so if you,re going to this hotel remember to take your own if you like a cuppa in the morning..

Liked everything. Even the 5 euro add on continental breakfast was good. Cheese ham freshly squeezed orange juice, rolls and croissants. Only minus was the view from the room which was none because it backed onto Cadiz Museo.

While I cannot give a very high score on this occasion, there's potential for a better experience at this hotel.

Location-wise one cannot wish better if one wants to stay in the city centre (not really the right location if you're there for the beaches though).

Discovering used sanitary products in the bin upon arrival and the renovation works marred my overall experience somewhat.

Breakfast is mediocre at best - cannot recommend.

It was good, very well located. The bed mattress was hard. Breakfast had limited options and exactly the same every day. There is no parking, I had to park 5 min away and pay $20 daily for it. I didn’t like that. Location is amazing but they need to do something with breakfast and beds. A parking discount will be nice too.

Great location on one of the city's main squares, within walking distance to many sights as well as easy access to great shopping and eating places. The accommodations are basic, but a good value for the rate and location. Don't expect any frills, though the restaurant has good food at reasonable prices, with tables on the square that allow for dining al fresco and great people watching. The breakfast selection is very good.

Great location in the heart of the old city

Brilliant location for this hotel right in the heart of the old City. Large quiet room on the fourth floor with good walk in style shower. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the bed was a little hard. We didn't have the hotel breakfast but there are plenty of little cafes nearby where you can get coffee and toast or pastries. The streets of Cadiz are narrow and I really wouldn't recommend driving to this hotel, if you come by car probably better to leave it somewhere and walk to hotel or get taxi. We arrived by bus and it's an easy walk from either the bus or train station.

Lovely hotel in Cádiz!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights 6/23-29/19 and absolutely loved it! It was clean, comfortable, the staff was extremely polite! Our room faced Plaza de San Francisco and we had a nice balcony. And although the nightlife from the square can be heard from the room, we didn't mind it and were able to sleep soundly. The location is wonderful and within minutes you can have delicious tapas, yummy ice cream, or a lovely nightcap. Cádiz is a very charming city!

This hotel is a jewel located in the heart of old town within walking distance of everything in the historic area. Parking is a problem but several municipal lots are an easy walk away. Night life is abundant and scores of restaurants and sidewalk cafes are all around. Hop on hop off starts at the port about a 10 minute walk from F. y P.

Our first night we faced the plaza where there was drinking and noise until 4am. We changed to a \"quiet\" room which was fine. The hotel is a mile from the bus/train station. The appointments are nice and I would stay again.

Little gem in paradise

Hotel de Francia y Paris is perfectly located, close to restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and shopping. It is situated in a small but busy courtyard which hosts some of these restaurants. We hadn't pre-booked and initially were going to check into a standard double room with a smaller window and limited view. For a small view, we upgraded to a twin room with terrace. This room had a nice view over the busy courtyard. There was a small sitting area between the bedroom and bathroom where you entered the terrace. The terrace was a good size, with two sun loungers and small drinks table. The terrace had great views over the vibrant courtyard. The bedroom was quiet, had good air con and fast wifi. We hired bicycles nearby for a day and biked all around Cadiz and out to the beach. The staff were helpful and informative, giving us some very good recommendations for dinner at nearby restaurants, and also booked tickets for us for the Andalusian Horse Show in Jerez.

A touch of comfort & luxury to a lovely trip!

This was the first time I stayed in Hotel de Francia y Paris in Cadiz although I have been visiting Cadiz many times over the last seven years and know the areas around the hotel very well.

I stayed for only one night and did not eat on the hotel. I am a frequent traveller and have a reasonably high standard requirement on hotels I would like to stay. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with everything that I was provided in the hotel. The lobby of the hotel, the room and the bathroom were spacious. The receptionist was polite and helpful and the checkin was quick and efficient.

The room was very clean, the linens on the bed were crisp and fresh and very comfortable.

The bathroom was immaculately clean and the towels felt clean and, fresh and white in colour which was how they should be.

Everything exceeded my expectation. I Will definitely stay there again.

Very acceptable for a short stay in old Cadiz

This is a nice if fairly basic place for a night or two, situated as it is in the charming & historic \"old town\" with its picturesque narrow cobbled streets and plazas. It is well & efficiently run, and our bedroom was pleasant & large, with a good attached shower room etc, & comfortable beds with good clean linen & pillows. The staff were friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our brief stay.

It's on San Francisco Square. When we arrived, there was a lot of noise and celebrations on the square, so we were afraid we'll have trouble sleeping.
However, we were pleasantly surprised the hotel was super quiet within.
The location is great - walking distance from monuments and sights. The staff was friendly and helpful too.

The hotel is very conveniently location in the old town. It has been recently renovated. The hotel lobby is cavernous and has an interesting metallic dome but the effect gives the feel of a hotel which has been more and has scaled down without success. There is wireless internet connectivity in the rooms. We found the staff less than friendly and not very helpful when prompted for information on what to do.

Das Hotel liegt an einem bezaubernden, belebten Platz. Das Frühstück ist sehr umfang- und abwechlsungsreich und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Zimmer und das Bad und insgesamt das ganze Hotel waren super sauber und gepflegt. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. (Sonder)wünsche wurden entgegenkommend erfüllt. Ich würde immer wieder dieses Hotel wählen, wenn ich (hoffentlich noch oft) in die faszinierende Stadt Càdiz komme.
