Cause, Steps Away from the Cathedral
The room actually has an enclosed shower, rare for Spain, which scores comfort points. However, the streets are noisy with people and trucks throughout the night.

The bed was pretty old and not too firm. However, the real problem was the odor of the bedding. It was a horrible, overwhelming Industrial chemical smell that made it nearly impossible to sleep.

We were there for a long stay. The apartment is in a great location as a tourist and living like a local. The apartment is fully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. As an extra bonus, our host Adela was exceptional with checking in and making sure we had whatever was needed.

This is a superb hotel, ideally situated in the old part of Cadiz and extremely close to the Cathedral. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful. The rooms and en suite bathrooms were well equipped and sparklingly clean.

The hotel is very well located and very clean. It is in close walking distance to the cathedral and two town squares, as well as to one of the beautiful Cadiz beaches (Santa Maria del Mar). Underground public parking is nearby. The room was very small. The elevator kept breaking down - not so handy with suitcases.

The gentleman that checked us in was actually quite rude, the other staff however were helpful. Be aware that the outdoor terrace shown in the photos is for the rooms on the 5th floor only. Rooms are very small but quiet. Cadiz is small so location anywhere in the city isn’t a problem.

Modern hotel just a few steps Friday m the cathedral. Brilliant staff who were so friendly (thank you Marie del Mar!) and had great recommendations for food (go to Codiga de Barres, 1 min from the hotel and get an outside table on the square, you won’t regret it).

Far too expensive - don't believe the photos
Wildly over-priced. We paid €190 per night for a small room with average facilities and average condition. No better than a budget chain. None of the facilities or communal areas you would expect of a hotel at this price such as a bar or lounge or view. The photos of deckchairs on the roof are misleading - this is only the even more expensive rooms.

Not worth the price at all. The nicest thing I could say is that the location was good. It was more or less clean but the towels were thread bare and had holes in them. The air conditioning smelled like amonia. The king bed was two singles pushed together, fairly common for europe but still not what was promised. The room was reasonably clean but tired and in need of repair and renovation (broken floor tiles, heavy mildew in grout and caulking). Unless the price drops by 2/3's (I paid $160 CAD for one night) I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Patagonia Sur Hotel is located almost in the city centre of Cadiz. The staff were very helpful and gave us excellent directions to the parts of Cadiz we wished to experience. The only drawback was the small breakfast area and no soy milk was available. Other than that, we look forward to return on our next trip to Cadiz.

A basic hotel ,but well situated close to the cathedral square in the Casco Antiguo. The bedroom and bathroom were quite small, though the bed was a very comfortable king-size and the bathroom had an excellent shower. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Great location. We had the rooftop room which looked good online but in reality was quite uncomfortable. In the summer the room gets very hot and the curtains must stay closed. Further the air conditioning was feeble and didn't cool effectively. The room was also very small and did not include breakfast in the rate. The price was way over valued compared to other hotels i stayed in on my road trip through spain.

The hotel was in a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful and actually recommended a restaurant (Argentine Steak House)where we had the best dinner of our three week trip. Loved the city. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Would recommend to friends

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Patagonia. Although the rooms were a bit small they were exceptionally clean and well appointed. The location was ideal in the old town, in a quiet area, yet only minutes from the cathedral and in the centre of the restaurant district. The staff were very friendly and courteous and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast consisted of a very well stocked buffet. Excellent value for money. We highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel in great location, very near to tourist sites. We spent one night and would definitely recommend you request one of the top floor rooms with a terrace. It's on a pedestrian street, with no hotel parking. You can park in nearby public lots. The staff was helpful and we would definitely stay here again.

Five days in Cadiz
Cadiz is a great place, and we were quite content to amble around the old district of the city, stop at the cafes and try some of the many restaurants......we found all the food to be well prepared and all did great coffee. Cadiz old town provided really inspirational shopping opportunities and it was so nice to use independent stores with their own proprietors. Café, restaurant or shop, we found visitors were gladly accepted by all and met with an eagerness to communicate regardless of language differences.

Hotel is great location to explore Seville, just moments from the Cathedral. Staff friendly and helpful. I believe we had a standard room, this was compact but modern and clean. The hotel is a modern building set within 'old town' area. Some street noise of pedestrian area around hotel but that is part of the charm and you can always close the window and rely on the A/C. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't opt for that - many nearby places to eat and drink.

Great hotel and very friendly staff who were always helpful. The room was clean and fine for us however the only downside was that it was very noisy from the street outside and the windows did not block this noise out, also the air conditioning did not work and the room got quite hot.

great location, 2min walk to the cathedral. fairly clean, not like a 4 star hotel of course. helpful staff. The problem is the noise from outside and the rooms next to you or above you. We had to listen to the guy above us snoring all night! The streets are noisy and you can hear everything. You won't have a good sleep in this hotel.

We had the large penthouse terrace room, which has a wonderful view of the cathedral. Staff is friendly and the location is great. No onsite parking, but it's just a couple blocks from the municipal lots.

Lovely Stay
This was my favorite hotel stay in my 10 days in Europe this year and I was very, very sad to leave it. The location was perfect: Near the cathedral but not so close that the noise was an issue. Easy to reach all the other sites and the beaches. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was extremely comfortable and had the best bathtub and shower I've seen in years. The wifi connection was fast, efficient and stable. My only regret was that I only stayed there for one night.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the old town, just a stones throw away from the cathedral and market. The room was clean and comfortable although we would have preferred to have a view. The breakfast was fine. All staff very friendly and helpful.

Upon check in the hotel is very narrow with a storefront appearance. Our room was smaller than my walk in closet at home, It felt like I was in a camper, literally no room. Bed was rock hard with a signal thin flat sheet. You don't spend alot of time in the room, thank goodness, but if you did you could ease drop on every conversation going on your floor. The walls are paper thin, needless to say we slept on the beach.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, good and plentiful breakfast, very clean room. Hotel was well situated inbetween the train station and the sea! Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic little place
This is a really good little hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean rooms with everything you need. The free wi-fi is a real bonus, as is the breakfast, which really sets you up for the day. The hotel staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful and speak reasonably good English. I stay in a lot of 'bigger' hotels for work and have become accustomed to the impersonal nature of hotels, so it was a real pleasure to stay in a place where you were made to feel at home. The location is also excellent - right in the heart of the beautiful town centre. Cadiz is fantastic and this hotel is a good option.

No me ha gustado la habitación minúscula y al lado del ascensor y al lado de las escaleras con puerta de emergencia de las que dan portazo para cerrar. Y el precio exagerado. He dormido en paradores por 29€ menos. Y no tiene nada que ver un Oarador de 4 estrellas con este establecimiento.
