The location is wonderful. The breakfast was great. Had a great time relaxing by the pool and at the beach next door. Also did some walking on the trail along the water and took in the views on the nearby hills. If I went back to this area I would stay again. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Had some loud neighbors and staff addressed the issue with no problems.

Great weekend away from Barcelona. Hotel has quiet beach just away from main Roses beach. 3 separate restaurants. Included buffet breakfast very good. Staff speak English, Spanish, Catalan & French. Drove to trailhead past Portlligat & did 6 mile hike to Cap Creuces-very good .

Lovely hotel in fabulous position. The hotel is situated about 3miles outside Roses and the hotel shuttle service does not operate in May and local buses don’t start until June 1st so you have to either walk or get a taxi which cost €28 return. There is no table d’hote menu only a la carte which is very expensive.

We loved our stay at this incredibly beautiful setting. The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful property, lush grounds, views, views, views. There is also access to small beaches along the sea. The interior of the hotel was lovely, elegant. Our room while a bit small was very nice with a terrace facing the sea!

We spent a few days here with my family of four. We loved this property. First, we had a great room that fit all of us perfectly. There was a room for the kids with bunk beds, TV and balcony and a bedroom for us. And, still plenty of space for all of our beach stuff and luggages. The property is gorgeous. The pictures don't really do it justice. The property is so well maintained. The pool is really big, the only issue is that its a very salty salty pool. It was saltier than the ocean. However, its so big that we were able to do laps! The area around the hotel is great to. The beach, which is just down the path, is a sandy beach and wasn't too crowded. We ended up just keeping our stuff at the pool, then walking down to the beach to either hang out in the water, climb the rocks or eat the the two restaurants. THe onsite restaurants were great too. I read a lot of comments on how it was two expensive - but you have to remember that this area is close to France (so, quality food is expected) and Roses is home to former best restaurant in the world -El Bulli.

Beautiful property! Really helpful and enthusiastic staff. Unfortunately the food from the restaurant was really really boring. No flavour at all. The restaurant and bar on the property also close really early, which is odd for Spain and disappointing also. I would recommend the property hotel, but I would not recommend the restaurant.

The hotel is in a spectacular location with superb views across the Bay of Roses. It sits atop the cliffs with access to a cliff top pathway and is very near a beach. The hotel is smart and clean. It has a lovely feel to it, which is enhanced by the views from the many picture windows.

We were in room 204, which was a good size, but showing its age with regard to some of the wall paint, although this is a minor thing overall. It was immaculately clear though. The beds were very comfortable and there was lots of storage space, plus a safe. The bathroom was in need of some refurbishment (the bath was really showing it’s age), but otherwise all OK and no problems encountered and terrific views from the balcony!

Outside it has extensive gardens across several terraces with lots of sun beds dotted around and of course the fantastic views across the sea. The main hotel bar serves one of the terraces and makes for a great place to sit with a drink and to admire the views.

Check in was really smooth and the staff have all been universally friendly, always happy to help. We arrived after having a very early start from London, and were disappointed to fine that food wasn’t being served from the bar when. Initially there was a moment when I thought it we were going to have to venture out, but the staff decided they could make up one of the easier items for us to keep up going to dinner. For which we were very grateful!

On walking in the foyer I felt like I was entering an old folks home due to the odour. The room was small across from the elevator and beside a stairwell, you do the math.
Food was overpriced, overdone, breakfast was okay, nothing special.
The staff made a two star accommodation a four star hotel.
Xenia working at the front desk was an amazing and very helpful young woman. The Maître De of the restaurant was also fantastic.
Too far out of town.
This place was for the newly wed or nearly dead.

The grounds are even more beautiful than I expected and the shuttle into town right from the hotel makes the surrounding areas easily accessible. The pool area has a stunning view. We stayed in room 213. The view was great, even it was not sea view. But bed and mattress were just terrible! Awful! If you turn in bed the whole bed was moving and made noise! But linens were clean and crispy. But bed , mattress and pillows were just horrible. Housekeepers were nice and friendly. People at front desk never smile. They were not rud but not nice. But hotel is very nice and clean, beautiful grounds. Very good breakfast!

Breathtaking views!

Hotel is perched on top of a cliff overlooking a gorgeous beach which can be accessed directly from the hotel via a short walk. Amazing panoramic views from the grounds and pool and lovely view from the room too. Rooms a little dated but very clean and lots of space. The food at the hotel is fantastic and staff lovely. Very accommodating to families and young children. Loved our stay in Roses and look forward to coming back again in the future

Good hotel but disappointed in many ways.

My family has been coming to this hotel for the last 40 years. We probably discovered this hotel way before most of the staff was even born...So I was a bit disappointed by the way we were treated. I invited my two nieces and my parents for a few days early July. Initially my brother was suppose to come but for health reasons decided not to join us. I booked the three rooms through Travelocity. One was a suite for my parents and the others for everybody else. When I booked the rooms I decided to include dinner. Since my parents are old I thought it would be easier for everybody. When my brother decided not to come I called Travelocity to cancel his reservation. It was done before June 27th as that was the limit to change anything. When we got to the hotel it was clear my brother wasn't there. Instead of 6 we were only 5. But nobody at the reception said anything. Since I had already spoken to Travelocity I thought I wouldn't be charged for three nights of dinner for an adult that didn't show up. I was wrong. When I left, the reception made me pay for everything and asked me to deal with Travelocity. I was told they couldn't do anything. So I called travelocity who called a few times the manager explaining the situation. The manager refused to reimbursed me. It was their policy. SOOOO...What was the point of me canceling before June 27th? Why wouldn't they want to reimburse me barely $125? It's completely unprofessional. Is it really worth loosing such good clients?

Threatened to double charge me every day

The second we got there the rude manager at the desk immediately told us that because of some mistake, we had reserved two rooms - not one - and we would not be refunded. This was the welcome. He was not apologetic and told us it was up to us to sort it out with Expedia. When we called, Expedia was like “no everything is fine you only booked the one room you won’t be double charged. But he would not accept this, and went on to remind us that it was non-refundable every time we walked into the hotel. It was not relaxing at all. It was stressful and unpleasant. Also, the toilet did not work 80% of the time, which was really not ideal for my first vacation in a hotel with my boyfriend. It made a constant waterfall sound the entire time we were there - which isn’t as relaxing as it sounds. I tried to take a bath and all the jets came off in the water. And the hair dryer, like much else in the hotel, was from the 70s. Literally. And burnt my hand. We asked for a room with a view but it was blocked by a tree. Other than that, the views elsewhere on the property were beautiful. And breakfast was good. But overall very unpleasant experience worrying about being double charged the whole time.

The Almadraba was our final 2 day stop over before our drive back to the UK. The hotel location is fantastic, to the south of Roses. The hotel is in a quiet location overlooking the bay and Mediterranean - the scenery is fantastic as are the sun sets. There is a large out door pool and a private pathway that leads down to the beach where the Almadraba has its own beach chairs/loungers.
The room that we had was large but very sparsely furnished. There was no desk - just a narrow bar upon which the TV was located. No wall hangings nor wall art. Odd for a hotel once frequented by the great Salvador Dali.
The hotel restaurant is good - but the menu selection could have been larger offering a greater selection of both Spanish and local produce. We found the price of drinks and wines somewhat on the high side compared with other hotels and restaurants that we visited.
Off road car parking is available, though finding a parking space during peak season could prove challenging.

This is an amazing find!

A little out-of-the-way (you have to drive along narrow, winding roads through the town of Roses for about 20 minutes), but it is SO WORTH IT!
The Hotel is perched on a cliff beside a quiet little beach (at least at the end of May), and 10 minutes walk from a huge coastal park with miles and miles of rugged coastal hiking trails.
The hotel itself is excellent - clean and modern enough, with amazing views from our room, a huge salt-water swimming pool, tennis and squash courts.The other thing that is top-notch is the restaurant - amazing food (not a huge menu), and waiting staff that is extremely well-trained - quiet, unobtrusive and 5-star.
For the price, we consider this our find of the year!

Bel emplacement de l'hotel, propre et bon service en chambre.
Coté restauration, en dehors du petit-déjeuner, les options de restaurations ont un très mauvais rapport qualité/prix. Les plats sont bons, mais beaucoup trop chers. Le pire c'est le bar, qui permet de manger également, mais le service y est globalement pas du tout à le hauteur, un enfer.
Nous avions réservé (car indiqué par les serveurs comme nécessaire) en réalité pas de table pour nous en arrivant, en suite nous avons commandé 4 plats pour avoir un assortiment de tapas en grignoter, nous avons été servis un plat à la fois, plus d'une heure et demi après la commande. L'excuse du chez de salle, \"ce n'est pas comme dans le restaurant gastronomique, les plats arrivent quant ils sont près\".
J'ai jamais entendu pareille excuse dans un restaurant, manger chacun son tour sur la meme table ... quelle blague.

Excellent établissement, le calme, la propreté, personnel souriants au petit soins, la vue à vous couper le souffle, retard dans la préparation de la chambre mais compréhensible.
Parking sur place. Chambre spacieuse avec juste ce qu’il vous faut. Lit king size très confortable.
Petit déjeuner selon vos goût le choix et la qualité, la restauration digne de chef, on vous amène la carte et le produit crus et frais, vous décider et ils vous le préparent, la bouteille de vin dans son cheker avec glace, la table des desserts devant vous vous choisissez et on vous sert, une séance de massage professionnelle pour ma copine au top cadre extérieur avec vue sur mer.
Point très particulier vous êtes sur la corniche côté Cannyelle, juste au dessous de l’hôtel, de petites criques où vous aurais la possibilité de vous baigner dans le calme le plus total loins du bruit de la baie de Rose.
Bref je n’en suis pas à mon premier séjour, j’y reviendrais à chaque passage dans la région volontiers.
A mon sens avec quelques embellissements et petit travaux dans les chambres cet établissement mérite de ce hisser a cinq étoiles.

Cet hôtel est une verrue architecturale des années 70 mais l’endroit est bien agréable et les vues mer sont sensationnelles.

Il faudrait vraiment améliorer le check-in qui est lent et donne une première impression désagréable.

Excelente hotel para darle un gusto al cuerpo.

Estancia de dos dias, que se ha hecho muy corta. La ubicaciondel hotel es extraordinaria. Las instalaciones amplias. Las vistas al mar, y de la preciosa costa, fabulosas. La habitacion amplia, con una cama grande y muy comoda. El personal es amable y muy profesional. El desayuno completo y de calidad. Junto al hotel, una playa con orientacion sur, excelente para el baño, con acceso directo desde el hotel.

Dias de descanso en un entorno espectacular

Hotel muy bien ubicado para pasar unos días de tranquilidad. La estancia es muy agradable y el hotel ha ido modernizando algunos espacios. Nuestra habitación de tipo estandard quedaba encima de donde recogen las basuras y a las 7h hacen bastante ruido con los contenedores. La piscina dispone solo de 3 sombrillas, la gente pone las toallas en las hamacas y las ocupan durante horas (incluso cuando se van a comer), Ya que en el hotel se alojan bastantes personas mayores seria un detalle poner una escalera de más fácil acceso a la piscina. El spa solo tiene un jacuzzi. El desayuno está muy bien pero nuestra hija es celiaca y los productos de bolleria se limitan a una bolsa con 4 mini pacenillos (son buenos) y a un paquete de 2 galletas de chocolate sin gluten un poco decepcionantes, mejor que ya no las pusieran.
En la reserva de hoteles. com hacia referencia a un obsequio para clientes en la habitación que no la han puesto

4星としては水準的なホテル。立地は街から離れている為、滞在型のホテルと言えるが、その割には崖地に建っていて土地が限られているからか、一般的な客室が18-20m2程度と狭い。サービスと管理は行き届いており、スタッフの対応も良好。プールは広くて見晴らしも良いが、海水なのが残念。淡水であればなお良かった。食事はバリエーションが限られているが、所謂ピンチョス的な地中海料理は優れている。仏国境に近いからか客の半数近くはフランス人である事も手伝ってか、メインレストランの料理は典型的なフレンチメニューが多く、一般的に期待する様なシーフード類は少ない。客数に対するサービス係の比率が適切で無いためか、料理出しのタイミングが悪く、メインディッシュが冷めていて、最悪であった。サービス自体は悪くない事もありとても残念な点であった。

L’hotel esta situat a un lloc excelent i privilegiat. Lloc molt tranquil.
Un aspecte molt positiu respecte el COVID és que tot el personal porta mascareta i que assignen una tumbona determinada a cada client durant tota l’estada.
No obstant la gran majoria dels clients anaven sense mascareta, la qual cosa ens neguitejava força. L’hotel hauria de corregir o expulsar-los ja que corre un risc gran en cas de malaltia.
En quant a l’esmorçar que era un dels grans al·licients per anar a l’hotel ha perdut molt en eliminar-se el bufet lliure per culpa del COVID. Les racións han disminuït tot i que si demanaven te’n portaven mes.
En quant al personal hi ha un grup de joves en pràctiques. Els del restaurant molt be, alguns força espavilats i atents. Els de recepcio molt verds.
Varem tenir un problema amb el pany de l’habitació i de recepcio ens van dir que ens portarien una clau mestra per poder entrar. Al cap de 15 minuts esperant vaig baixar i la noia s’havia oblidat de pujar
Seria d’agraïr que el personal aprengues una mica de catala i no respondre “en español, no entiendo” tot i que el temps no ajudin gaire
Una darrera cosa: a hotels anunciaven una botella de vi de cortesia. No van oferir-ne cap

Een uitstervende soort , dit type hotel; Geen storende beats uit de lounge, geen opdringerige muziek aan het zwembad, geen afgezaagde design interieurs die je overal ziet, maar hier en daar een stukje antiek die de authenticiteit ten goede komt. Twee aanbelendende strandjes mlet niet te veel bars. Super!
