Yes hotel was very nice. All staff are Friendly and helpful who never failed to smile especially reception desk Staff Nabila who goes extra mile in making my stay very pleasant. Perfect Hotel location with alot of foods restaurant & dining & shopping just outside the hotel. We we located at swimming pool and gym level so it was great!! Room service was delicious too

It was a bad experience.
Came in to the room with a wet carpet smell.
Room was gloomy and the view outside the window was wallpapered. Requested for a change of room which was given the next day and it was much better. I appreciate it alot. Thank you to the staff Elvira for making my trip a good one.

Overall positive experience. Only negative was that the hot water would spew out brown water, if you left it running it would eventually turn clear, but it was pretty gross to see. Also, make sure you request non-smoking room otherwise. Breakfast was okay, nothing amazing, but not terrible.

Location is good, very near to Cihampelas walk. Souvenir shop, jeans shop, restaurant, mart, bank, local products - everything is near to the Hotel. But please bear in mind its a bit noisy @ night / weekend especially if your room facing the main road.
The breakfast is delicious, staff is very friendly. They even put ball pit @ kid's pool. Recommended.

Check in time was 2:00pm, we arrived at 3:30pm but we had to wait another 1/2 hr before our keys to the rooms were ready (we bookes two rooms). One room was ready before the other one, since i travelled with my parents i gave them the one that was ready first. It took them another 10-15 minutes to give me my key to my room. When i entered the room, immediately i smelled cigarette smoke, and the carpet was not cleaned properly still few crumbs and dirt in random corners. The bed side table still had a trace of a wet cup and there was no minibar in the fridge. I had been travelling for more than 3 days at this stage and had little sleep, so i was expecting to have a smooth check-in and rest in a room that had been cleaned thoroughly without smelling like ashtray! I would have complained and make them clean the room but i was too tired and just wanted some rest. I appreciate that maybe, it was a smoking room, but they really should clean them properly and at least mask the smell. The staff was nice though, the breakfast buffet was delicious and have many variety. The pool was decent and they have complementary drink (fruit juice) in the lobby while waiting for check in. Overall my experience is average.

Good location. The bed and pillows are awesome. I sit for a while on the bed and I end up sleeping all the time till morning. Really love it! I wish I have such bed and pillows at home. A lot of shopping to do around the hotel and good food.

Right in the middle of everything

The hotel is quite good, though we had a poor experience upon check-in. I booked 2 rooms for our trip, when we arrived only 1 room that was already ready. We have to wait for 2 HOURS for the 2nd room to be prepared. If we didn't travel far to get to this hotel maybe it would be fine, the condition was all of us were tired and trying to get some rest.

This hotel is among the better hotels near Cihampelas walk. Most staffs can understand & speak average English. They don't change your bedsheets unless you request for it. You can hear people walking outside your room / talking beside as walls are thin. There's a bad smell on the 7th floor (probably chlorine from the pool area). Pool is small but it's ok if it's not crowded. Breakfast is almost the same everyday but decent variety of local & continental food. Will cost you about IDR35,000 to get to the hotel by taxi from the international airport.

Check in was swift but room was not ready however the receptionist was quick to get me a room within 15 mins, she done well.

Staff friendly and polite. Breakfast spread reasonablly good and service too.

Check out fast too. Overall I am happy with this property and certainly recommended.

Note - due to the construction of \"Sky Walk\" just in front of the the hotel. road is closed at night so coming back to the hotel is a bit of a hassle.

I love everything especially the overall cleanliness and breakfast buffet. EXCEPT the provided shampoo! My hair turned frizzy like hell. I did use provided shampoo in other hotels before, never happened this way. So, to other guests, please please please use your own shampoo or you need to invest in hair treatment later! ALSO, was quite surprise to know that we were sharing the pool with favehotel guests since we chose aston for the lesser pool user. Why must we pay more when we have to share that facility with guests from cheaper hotel. I guess I should stay in fave next time!

Noisy outside the hotel in the midnight, asked to change room was given a upgrade however the Aircon was not working well and the outside road construction noise make it worst. Local and fashion goods, side by side shopping

If you prefer shopping locally made goods and branded fashion offerings, this could be the place, all within a few steps of this hotel but be cautious of the street traffic. Compared to Paris Van Java, Ci-walk is equally good, shopping and food wise - my 13yo son who doesn't like shopping, bought 3 t-shirts, but PVJ doesn't have street foods; compared to Rumah Mode, this is better, although RM does have lots of \"very value for money\" stuff you can buy - my wife bought five pairs of shoes for IDR1.5M. Taxi to airport is only IDR15K excluding carpark exit fee.

AWESOME 5D4N STAY.

Aston has the best location in Bandung. Opposite is the Cihampelas walk where you can find J.co, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, KFC, cinema, karaoke and many more. Money changer and atm machines are a stone away. My family love our stay very much. The only lacking is the air-con of room 732. It is not cool or cold at all no matter how we tried to adjust the temperature. The rest was tip top!!

Friendly hotel staff n easy to find food

I was there for 3 nights. The staff at the counter was friendly and readily assist you. We booked the hotel transport for the 2 days to bring us sight seeing in Bandung. The driver, Jerry was effecient n recommend us to good places to have our lunch n dinner.
However, there are a few things the hotel can improve in future. First, i do hope in our next trip i would get adjoining room as requested during reservation. 2nd, there was a blackout during our 1st night in e hotel. The staff should informed e guest what had happened . None of e hotel staff explained to us. Luckily, we were at e lobby when it happened. The blackout lasted for a good 30 to 45 min. Overall, the hotel is a good place for family.

Superb hotel at great location

If you like shopping Ascot Tropicana is in the midst of the shopping belt. Jeans Street is just across the hotel with numerous Factory Outlets and the famous Ciwalk shopping mall with its eateries and shops is just a few metres away! It may be pricier but it was worth the price as the room was spacious and super clean. And the wonderful and attentive staff is the reason why I am going back to Ascot Tropicana on my next visit to Bandung. Especially Front Office Manager Mr.Toar and Rahmi went out of their way to make my first visit and stay in Bandung an experience I wont forget. I was so impressed that everyone remembers my name which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was great and I think the choice of food was good as there was something for everyone's palate. But most importantly the staff of Lemon-Grass cafe, where breakfast is served are attentive, especially Diana who goes out of her way to attend to your needs. I stayed in room 736 and it had a superb view and it is really great to have lunch whilst appreciating the view after a morning of shopping. It was raining a lot during the afternoons of my visit so room-service was a good option. And I have no issue with the time taken as I think it is good. The choice of cable TV programs are good and the free Wifi is recievable in the room though I wish it were stronger. The hotel has a nice pool and also a spa if you looking for an invigorating massage. I am definitely going back to this hotel on my next trip to Bandung.

Great location near to CiWalk, a nice happening shopping mall. Hotel staff were really courteous and helpful. Breakfasts spread was good. Large and spacious room. Only downsides were bath shower water was weak, no hot water only warm and sometimes cold water only, faulty tap - bathroom problems. Bedsheets, comforters, towels are old and worn out, and not well cleaned. Also, housekeeping \"forgot\" to make up our room one day though we were out the whole day! We got back late in the evening and had to ask for fresh towels, etc.
However, overall would still rate this hotel as excellent, thanks mainly to the extremely friendly and helpful reception and banquet staff.

It is located in the CBD. Excellent place to stay if you are also interested in shopping. You can walk to places like Ci walk and Cihampelas street. A colleague sprained her ankle. The hotel staff and manager was very helpful. They got their driver to send her to the Advent Hospital.
