We booked 3 rooms with 3 occupants each. However when checked in at 0100 after a long flight it was disappointing to find only one double bed in room. They obliged our request to set up a another bed each but it was very inconvenient to wait for this to happen at this very late time.

Also we paid for a poor breakfast. Poorly run hotel.

Terrible Stay. We got there very late (11:30PM) and only had a few hours to sleep before we needed to go to the airport. Check-in took forever, and when I finally got to my room and plugged in my cell phone to charge, it shorted the power in the entire room. All power went out.

When I went back and told the front desk, they said they sould send someone up to check it out (was 12:30am by this time). After a lot of back & forth w/ the Desk Agent, he finally gave me a new room as requested.

When I finally got to the new room at 1am, it was really hot, over 80 degrees farenheight, and the thermostat was broken. I just took a cold shower and went to bed because I was so exhausted, needed to be up again soon, and didn't feel like dealing with it any longer. Would not recommend staying here!!

**Ramada Inn Colombo International Airport – Review**

I recently stayed at the Ramada Inn near Colombo International Airport and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the airport, though the surrounding area is quiet and lacks much to do, making it ideal for those looking for a peaceful stopover.

The hotel staff were truly exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, always with a warm and friendly attitude. Despite the hotel being on a budget, the staff’s dedication to providing excellent service really stood out, and I was very appreciative of their efforts.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, and the buildings show signs of age. Some areas could use renovation to bring them up to modern standards, but it didn’t detract too much from my stay. The rooms were still comfortable and well-maintained, and the cleanliness was impressive.

One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The restaurant offered a wonderful selection, and I was especially pleased with the French entrees, which were a pleasant surprise. I didn’t try the buffet, but the à la carte menu was delicious, reasonably priced, and well-prepared.

Overall, while the Ramada Inn Colombo could benefit from some updates, the exceptional service from the hotel staff and the great food made my stay enjoyable and comfortable.

Great place to stay close to the airport.

I phoned the hotel the day before I flew to Colombo with my flight details there was a very efficient smiling man with a very clear sign waiting to meet me at the airport. A car was waiting for us and check in was quick and my luggage was carried to my room. I have a large non smoking room with a noisy air con it's perfect for a 1: night stay.

1.Some of the electrical plug points wiggling.
2.Aircon control and display fitted on the bed head disturbances sleep in the night.

Staff were very friendly, prompt and efficient considering there were other guests who had arrived just before us. They upgraded my room which was a surprise for us, room was large, and clean. We ask the reception staff that we wanted a drop off at the airport, the car and driver were available at requested time, car was clean and luxurious. Hotel has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay there again.

Beware of this hotel

Don’t even bother looking at this hotel. The hotel is horrible and only thing is the proximity to the CMB airport. They mislead customers, they say FREE airport transportation but they charged. Last minute I did not have choice other than paying for the transfer. Beware!!!!!

Great location, 20 mins to the airport. Clean and decent staff. Only complaint I have is that I called the property the day before to ask if the shuttle service to the airport is included and I was told yes. However to be dropped off at the airport they charge you 2000 slr. They were not very nice about it when I told them about the phone call on the previous day. Be warned!!

It is about unfair to comment as my family and I only stayed as it was close to the airport and our flight arrived in the middle of the night. The staff were efficient and helpful. The beds comfortable and the shower was hit with good water pressure. We did not have breakfast.

On the negative side the hotel needs a bigger higher sign at entrance. Very easy to miss when driving and trying to find the property. Not easy if you do not know the loxation.

Facility what the hotel advertise in Hotels.com was not originally there. This was made uncomfortable for guests. As an example, there must be a spa as well as in-room massaging but nothing was available. I felt it was a sort of misleading their customers who booked the hotel through Hoteles.com.

We arrived late during the night and after submitting all the required documents and even confirming that the rooms have been prepaid, the hotel staff are not ready to check-in.
It is the responsibility of Expedia and the hotel to take care of these things and not do these things while the guest is at the reception.

Below average hotel with even worse dinning options. Our food took over an hour to get served and they forgot to make an order that was placed an hour before the rest of our party ordered their food.
The false fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night and the only explanation that the staff could give was that someone pulled the alarm on accident.
If you have to stay at this hotel, don't expect much. The close proximity to the airport is the only thing that is going on for this hotel.

Warn out, pool services, in the middle of no where

OLD, warn out, in the middle of NO where. The reception staff was rude and unhelpful. He complained that hotel was fully booked, hotel.com was giving him a burden for accepting my booking. wifi password was not giving at first, when asked the same receptionist guy was frustrated while handling it to me... but that password was never work!
The bell boy was nice, at least with the service minded.

Bur surprisingly the room (though very old) was very clean.. bathroom equipment was well maintained and clean.

I would not recommend to anyone.. Unless you really struck at the airport and need some place to shower and a quick sleep. Then at least it is clean.

Moved to this hotel after a disappointing experience at a nearby hotel. This was certainly a good move as this hotel offers good comfort and nice facilities at a reasonable price.The dinner buffet was very good. Minus points are the fact that you only get 6hrs of free wifi per day and the airconditioning did not cool the room enough for my liking. Apart from this I would stay here again.

Most hotels have free shuttles - they charge 1500 lkr.. They provide just one wifi password for a double room that can be used on only one device.. Indian food at hotel was appalling... They made mistake in our bill and called the driver who was dropping us off at airport to ask for money from us.. Hopeless.. Do not visit ever... Strongly not recommend

Needed an hotel for night close to Colombo airport and this seemed the best available.
Turned out to be an excellent choice. Room was large,big bed and most comfortable.
Staff was helpful despite my late arrival and the 24 hr restaurant was ideal.
Taxi for early morning drive to airport was well arranged and provided a good prompt service

This hotel is very close to Colombo International Airport, but location is far from Colombo city central. Taxi from hotel to Colombo city central was 3500 rupi. This hotel is good for only transit stay or only visit Sirigiya Rock. It took 4.5 hour (go & return each) from hotel to Sirigiya Rock by 1 day local tour. There were no super market nor local restraunt near there, it is alone hotel.

Great place near the airport

We chose this as an overnight stay before our return flight home. The welcome was warm, the room extremely comfortable and the price incredible value. The hotel is only 15 minutes in a taxi from the airport and cost us about £18 to go into central Negombo during the day. Really lovely staff.

Booked this for overnight stay in between 2 flights. This is close to the airport and convenient to get to. However, disappointed with the hotel. Construction was going on which rendered the elevators non functional/slow. Had construction dust, not overall very clean and generally could feel it is a work in progress. The hallways had old carpet odur though rooms were large and clean. Beds were comfortable. However there was a bathroom clog that did take a while to resolve. Overall ok not best value for money. Hope the post restoration brings some much needed upgrades.

Overall, hotel staff and services were very satifactory. Kudos to Manager Pio, who was very helpful and did all what he can to meet the guest's needs. I wished the reservation staff ( including the manager) have more knowledge about the payments especially when the reservations are made through online. I had to spent almost an hour to convince the reservation staff that the payments have already been made when I booked the reservations online since they tried to bill me again.

Chose this hotel since it appeared close to airport and practical for 1 night stay before flying out next morning. Rooms fine but hotel situated right on busy street and view from rooms of very poor area. Pool was ok and personel tried hard to please, yet hotel does not look much like picture advertised. Service in restaurant very slow and prices of food double of what expected. They even charged for airport transfert which is actually a 15 minute ride all the way up the main street and then down the north side of airport. Would have been better to stay at Negombo where there are nice hotels on the beach and just as close.

hotel is very avg, we were 6 frnds staying for jst a night. the staff & room service is pathetic. we had a late chk in arnd 11 pm. so when we arrived we were hungry. we ordered room service but none of the things were available in the 24hrs in room menu except sandwiches which were below avg. even for ice we had to literally beg & tip the waiter.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Toilets were also celan and neat. Drop-off and pick-up service from airport is also available for a reasonable price. The restaurant is also good for local cuisine. If the surroundings had been a little better, it would have made the stay nice. View from the room was not what I had expected. It was a good deal for the price.

Dirty floors with large stains all over the carpet. Average room with average amenities. Piped elevator music in the hallways which you can hear in your room. No AC in hallways. The staff was nice & breakfast buffet decent, though. Hotel is off the busy road but at least it is gated. I would only recommend this hotel if you wanted to be near the airport in order to not deal with the horrendous Colombo traffic.

Fantastic service

They really outdid themselves with service. It's a lovely (not huge, but lovely) outdoor pool, bargain meals in the restaurant, lots of people to help with anything you need, pretty decently priced massages (though we didn't try those), big rooms. No wifi without paying, but that was the only drawback. AC worked really well and we were very grateful for it.

OVERALL THE HOTEL IS QUITE SHABBY , THEY WERE DOING LIFT MAINTANANCE WHICH I THOUGHT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER DONE OUT SIDE HOURS, PEOPLE (ME INCLUDED) COMING DOWN STAIRS WITH SUITCASES, BREAKFAST WAS EXTRA COST AND WAS AVERAGE QUALITY GOOD ONLY IF YOU ARE HUNGRY AGAIN FOR THE PRICE IT WAS NOT TOO BAD AND I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN Wi Fi , Broadband were also extra cost , Wi fi Was not working all the while I was there , they did not seem too concerned about getting it fixed,

Bad staff and management

We booked this hotel for two nights through different bookin agents. The hotel didn't provide us the free internet connection the first night which we should have according to the booking confirmation. One of the staff promised and the general manager approved that we can have free internet the second night.
However after we came back the hotel from a trip, the staff on duty was reluctant to give us the free internet and the staff who promised us denied what he promised.
The duty manager was not able to manage the situation, unable to handle the client's issue. He just talked to his staff and never tried to calm down the guests, not even communicate with us. I can't believe we had to explain and fight for 1 hour to get this little service we were entitled.
