Room looked nice but AC and shower didn’t work properly. Power also went out just in our room for several hours. The staff was horrible - unfriendly and very put off to help, especially Athena at the front desk. The hotel also is advertised as having a pool but the pool was closed. Overall I had a horrible experience and would no recommend this hotel!

Great staff and very clean. But the area is just bad, it will make you have a bad impression of Istanbul which I had initially. Cheap clothes from China being overpriced and very bad food. The area you should go for is Taksim. Taksim is where you should visit in Istanbul.

The room is very small as soon as you open the door, half a meter, the bed.
My advice to anyone who wants to book this hotel is a big no. I was extremely disappointed and not valued for money. It's a ripped off. Never again

I love this hotel and stay there every time I visit Istanbul.Reasonable price for Aksaray ,the rooms are very clean and have all you need .super close to historic attractions and easy access to most places in Istanbul.
Most importantly what I like about the good hotel is All the staff were really friendly and happy to help regardless of time the team on reception are so nice and accommodating.A big thank you to Mehmet for looking after me during my stay. I will be back!

Staff were not friendly and communications were not the best due to language barrier. Room service was not always available (one day our room was not cleaned at all!!). Bathroom was old and not enough supplies in it (you must order continuously). Location was close to the market which is convenient.

Lovely stay. Nice clean comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpful staff whom answered all of our questions. Beautiful rooftop pool with an amazing view. Also close to the tramvay -local public transport. Would stay again! 10/10!

A Gem in Istanbul

Hotel Istanbul Trend has the appearance of being new; perhaps then it is not too old. The breakfast was sufficient with limited choice. Its location was fantastic. It is possible to visit all sights on foot and dispense with public transport and taxis all together. If however one is wanting transport, then the Metro and tram lines are just minutes away, as are buses and the Yenikapi ferry terminal.
The hotel has 2 pools, one of which is rooftop. For the small price paid compared to other hotels in the area this was the icing on the cake. With a free sauna and a pay extra massage service this hotel was great.

a very small bed not comfortable mattress . smal tv . unclear channels . no kettler no drink water . and one of the staff ask us to pay $ 10 to make belman help with a small cargo while taxi to a far away area could charge 4 to 5 USD .. not a good experience .

Went to Istanbul with parents, they left a day early so I needed a hotel to crash in for an additional day so booked this as it was cheap. Room was nice, hotel was decent for price with breakfast included. Breakfast was packed in the morning so I decided to go out and eat. Overall value for money

Average hotel and services

The hotel overall was a 3*. Room was average size and location was in the city centre with plenty of noise about. Not.enough to disturb though. The tram stop was rwo min walk away for all the local attractions and lots of restaurants to choose from close by. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Rasul the night manager was our favourite. In terms of cleanliness there were a few let downs like the toilet brush looked like it was extremely old and I don't even want to describe the dirt in and around that. Services were lacking where there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. This was especially a problem for me as I needed a constant supply of boiled water for my 3 month old infants milk. There was no iron in the room or to borrow from the front desk so I had to send our clothes out to get ironed from the local laundrette which meant more cost. Oh and the TV only had news in English the rest of the channels were pretty much Turkish. I did like the power shower very spacious and clean.

Do not go there, poor quality, staff have no clue

or understand much English. No internet connection when you complaint they keep saying they will reset the rooter but it never happens. Very rude with no customer services. Area/location of the hotel is very doggy and low class. Address on website is 2 streets away. Stay away. Definitely no 4 star service something around the 1 star max.

I visited Istanbul on the 1-8 March 2014 was meant to be a week break to enjoy Istanbul and it was spoiled by the hotel.

Well, we did get soem sleep on the 3rd night! The rooms on the back of the hotel are next to a noisy bar that plays music until 3am. The rooms on the front face a busy highway.The staff tried hard, but sadly this is one hotel I will never be revisiting - I like to get some sleep.

The neighborhood is not nice, but is well located, near the old part of the city and very near the transfer, that is a very good way to move around the city.
The walls of the room were so thin, that we had a hard time to fall asleep because there was a baby crying and talking until late at night in the next room, and in the other room someone had the tv on and very loud until very late! The people at the Hotel were very nice, but the person at the front desk made us fall into a tourist trap. When we arrive, we asked if they could ask for a taxi to go and have something to eat. He answered: \"Why take a taxi, there is a very nice place to eat and they pick you up for free!\" After a very, very long trip to arrive, we couldn´t think very clearly and we accepted. It was the most expensive meal that we had in all our trip! We even went to London, eat well and cheaper!

Pool closed, double booked, noisy.

Disappointing: the outdoor pool and terrace are closed to guests.
Was double booked and moved to a worse hotel for the first day.
Room was tiny, dark and looked out on a wall an AC unit - no direct daylight.
The nights were noisy from the loud music bars immediately outside.
Be prepared to be harassed by the neighbouring bar owners every time you enter and leave the hotel.

The room was great. Bed was very comfy. Clubs a cross the Hotel was very loud and music was blaring all nite and if you rae a light sleeper you'll be up all night. The personel at front desk where rude and not very friendly and barely spoke english.
I've stayed in several boutiques hotels in Istanbul and by far this was my least favorite.

Istanbul Trend - Clean and good location

The cleanliness of the hotel and room was fantastic. It had great amenities, like very comfortable beds (the most comfortable I experienced in Europe and Turkey!), wonderful breakfast buffet and spa (sauna). However, the attitude of the people behind the front desk left something to be desired. They were not friendly, and they acted put out by my asking directions and for help to navigate around the area. When we first arrived, we were not greeted, and were told to wait a few minutes in a perfunctory manner. We waited nearly 30 minutes to get checked into our room! I would recommend the hotel based on the cleanliness and other amenities, but not because of the service.

The location of this hotel is excellent---close walk to nearly all the must-see sights in Istanbul including Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the light rail train (which will take you everywhere). The rooms are small but comfortable--only problem is that you can't have the air conditioning/electricity running while you're not in the room (you need to use your room card and they only give you one). The best part was the rooftop pool with an incredible view of the city, it's just worth it to stay for that! A few complaints we had were that the \"fitness center\" is really just two treadmills in the basement and right above it is the smoking section. Also, the pool opens at 11:30 am and only stays open until 8 pm. The staff are very friendly but it would be helpful to know Russian not just for this hotel but for Istanbul overall! There is no parking at the hotel though there is a nearby garage, but it is around 25TL per day. Breakfast was pretty good---standard buffet with lots of variety for all tastes. Overall, if you're looking for a great location (especially at night when the city comes alive) and don't need to work out during your stay, this is a good hotel!

The hotel is located in an area between two busy roads so there is lots of traffic and noise throughout the day and night. There are few places to eat nearby so you need to walk some distance, which is difficult late at night when you are on your own.

The roof terrace is a bit jaded and not very inviting.

On the up side, the reception staff are exceptionally helpful, the rooms are clean and modern and there is a varied breakfast buffet available. It about 20 mins walk into the main historical district, but the grand bazaar and other mosques are closeby. For the price, it is OK but not sure I would stay here again if I went back to Istanbul (which is a fab city!)

Hotel Istanbul Trend was a comfortable and cozy hotel in a convenient location to explore most major tourist attractions in Istanbul. Being near the Aksaray and Lalleli metro/ tram stations, it offered a good connectivity to the airport as well as Beyoglu, Taksim square, Blue mosque, Grand Bazar, Spice Bazar etc. Facilities were good - functional pool and good breakfast with friendly staff.

Very nice hotel with modern facilities. Room was light and airy with efficient air - con, clean modern bathroom with plenty of hot water (or cold if you prefer). Rooftop pool was small but nice to cool off and not crowded. Lovely buffet breakfast. Only criticism is that it was further from the Old Town than we thought - it was supposed to be near the Grand Bazaar, but the GB was a good 20mins walk and the Blue Mosque more like 30mins - that's no joke in that heat!

Terrible service, bad service attitude.

Extremely small boxy room, window towards the ventilation ducts. Like a prison cell. The worst though was the reception's attitude about my complaint of extremely slow wifi, that kept constantly dropping me out of network and required a new sign in. When I went to the reception to complain, they didn't understand much English or any other language than Turkish and when I was finally able to explain the problem for me, they took my phone out of my hand without asking and started to mess with the settings. They were also very rude, loud and aggressive in behavior. Then some kind of manager arrived and with his bad English showed his phone and his Speedtest results explaining to me, that the fault is on my phone. Well, it's not. I'm an IT pro, and their network is just wrongly configured. So if you need to work there online, stay away. You will not get any help from them. I didn't experience any of that in other hotels in Istanbul.

On a été dans cet hôtel en famille avec mon mari et mes 2 enfants. À l’arrivée on nous a mis dans une chambre avec 3 lits simples alors qu il y avait un couple et n’ont pas souhaité nous changer de chambre par la suite .
Points négatifs : hôtel bruyant ( discothèques toute la nuit à proximité), petit déjeuner non varié, petite piscine, pas de parasols, personnels non sympathiques.
Points positifs : proximité avec le tram
Conclusion : je déconseille cet hôtel.

Great hotel in great location

Hotel location is very good. Near to hotel is many restaurants and shops.Hotel seems quite old but very clean and employees are helpful and proffessional. Especially I liked swimming pool in roof where is wonderful view to the sea and old town. Room was good, bed and pillow was super comfortable.
Breakfast was tasty but every day the same, when you are staying there more than one night then it could be boring to eat every day the same breakfast.
But overall hotel was very good. I recommend.

Safety!

We got robbed just outside the hotel and hotel personal didn't even call the police and we asked repeatedly. They didn't warn us about the neighborhood. Later when we was in police station, they warned us. DON'T USE ATMs outside hotel. There are guys who try to rob you and this is very organized. I don't recommend this hotel

市街へのアクセス・空港からのアクセスに便利な場所

空港からも地下鉄１本で来れて、新旧市街へのアクセスもわかりやすいターミナル駅のYenikapi駅の近くなので、活動拠点としてとても便利です。ホテルの周辺には夜まで開いているお店やレストランがたくさんあって、とても快適に過ごすことができました。ちょっとだけ気になるのは、夜中、近所にすごい顔した売春婦のおばちゃんたちが立っているので、びっくりしますが、決して治安が悪いと感じるエリアではありません。
