There was a restaurant with extremely loud music late in the evening between the 2 and 3 floors, impossible to sleep. Impossible to set the temperature or tono0en windows as well. Too bad, because the staff and location were good.

It’s probably not fair to rate the reception based on my feeling when we arrived at 2:00 am, jet lagged and tired. I am a Marriott Rewards member, and I felt my question over breakfast in the morning was a simple one that could be addressed immediately. The staff member politely told me that he would need to check with his supervisor in the morning. Even though the request was granted in the morning, my experience with the reception staff has been one of polite efficiency. We just came from a week in Doha at a different hotel chain where I felt the staff was delighted to see us every time. The warm fuzzies seem to be missing, but everything else has been wonderful.

Plumbing is horrible there is no water pressure coming out to the shower. Shower door was leaking water got all over the bathroom floor. We changed rooms because rooms have not been updated and look decades old. Carpet is old. Bath and soap products are cheap and horrible for the skin and smell bad. I had to go and buy hand soap and shower soap from nearby stores very inconvenient.

Marriott is always a good place to stay. Big spacious rooms,we were placed in the newly renovated area but seemed not ,new .
Carpet was not properly installed.
tub was high and no handrails to hold to getting in and out.

I'm not the Marriott type, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to stay here one night. For the cost of a room, there's nothing there that makes it worth it. I've stayed in much cheaper hotels that had much better comfort, even in Armenia. I found that the pillows were flat the AC was weak, and the telephone that I actually needed for once didn't work. What warrants such a pricy room? Just the name of the hotel? I think that they could elevate something to make a person feel like the price is justified. Maybe include a nice breakfast, or something, but that was extra as well. I'll never stay here or at a Marriott again. The building was nice, but that does not make up for the price. At all. I really regret this expenditure, but as I said, I didn't have a choice at the time.

An Unforgettable Stay at the Armenian Marriott

This was our first trip to Armenia, and we were so excited to stay at the Marriott, given its great location and our previous experiences with their service. It did not disappoint!

From the moment we arrived, Mariam at reception made sure our check-in was smooth. To our surprise and delight, we got a free upgrade to the Presidential Suite! It was amazing.

Lusine at the Executive Lounge was so kind and attentive, giving us great suggestions for places to visit nearby. The housekeeping staff, especially Chand and a couple of others, were fantastic. And Levon, the bellboy, was always quick to help with our luggage and give us directions when we needed them.

The breakfast spread was perfect, with lots of delicious options. The room views were stunning, and everything was super clean. I can't stop raving about our stay.

We would love to come back. Thank you, Marriott, for making our trip unforgettable!

Seda the chef with amazing omelette and pancakes, nice and polite.

Lounge was clean with warm delicious food 5-8pm

The only problem was WIFI in our room.
Very poor reception. I had to come out of room to be connected to WiFi either at lounge or restaurant.

If the Wi-Fi problem was not that I could’ve given Marriott five out of five.

We have been staying in Marriot- Yerevan since 2000.
We returned to this hotel for New Year this year.
The Hotel, although has the best location and the most classical building in Yerevan is way past due for a major renovation and remodeling. The entire building stinks, the bathrooms and sinks are tiny, the beds uncomfortable, the showers and vanities all outdated.
This is the last time that I am staying here...

The location of the hotel on Republic Square is excellent.
The hotel definitely needs renovation and maintenance of the elevators and rooms. You have to climb the stairs to the 2nd floor then walk a long corridor to catch the elevator for the rooms, and that's very annoying.
The quality and variety of the breakfast food is disappointing for a Marriott hotel.

We didn’t realize when we booked there was an old part of the hotel that wasn’t remodeled. It looked and felt old. The bathroom had no outlets for a curling iron. We had to ask for an extension cord to plug in from the bedroom. The night lights on the head board didn’t work. There is no elevator to get to the second floor where the elevator to the rooms were so you had to drag your luggage up a flight of steps. The outlets were on the baseboards so you had to get on your hand and knees to plug your phone or iPad in. All very inconvenient for a very expensive hotel. Plus they wanted $20 for breakfast were an average lunch at a nice restaurant is $6. Shall I continue?

Location is great as are front office and most serving staff. Room however was poor for a business guest. No USB ports. Desk only had one power outlet (in the desk lamp base). No power outlet near the kettle. Only other power outlets are near the floor and no extension cords (so if you want to make coffee you have to put the kettle on the carpet!). Gym is small but reasonably good. Could do with a bigger range of dumbbells (lighter than 4kg).

The hotel upper management is prejudiced against Iranians, and is refusing to work with us despite our company being based in USA. This is very sad considering our company has brought hundreds of families and occupied more than 400+ room nights at this hotel. They don’t represent Marriott standards.

The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are cheap. That being said, the hotel was built in the Soviet Union, and dramatically needs to be remodeled. The rooms have an ugly green soviet style carpet, and feels dirty. If the carpet was replaced or removed it would be much nicer

Overall was ok, excepted a guy at the lobby who said no umbella with rude reaction to us when we asked for an umbella on raining day. Since we were stayed on executive floor and the lady up there told us to required with the bell man. BUT yeah we didn’t get the service and a rude staff.

I like the way they do NOT tell you how to get to breakfast, when your room is in the older part of the hotel. I like how they put 7th floor access on my room card, although my room was on the 5th floor. I like walking back and forth, from the elevator, through the conference hall, and down two flights of stairs, for staff to just stare at me, like I was stupid. I like having my room number checked off at breakfast (one of the worst in Yerevan — if you don’t eat bacon, don’t cook bacon), but then at checkout, having someone call two separate numbers to make sure that I “really” paid for the breakfast that was included in my hotel reservation!
