The room was clean but there were no tissue paper anywhere.
Food at Tarakua was outstanding however the food at the restaurant where they serve breakfast was mediocre.
Swimming pool can get busy and dirty with tons of kids on the weekends but weekdays are much cleaner and quiet.

Decided to spoil myself with a one night Hotel stay that has beautiful views and a pool. Was a lovely regarge stay. The bed ,mattress and pillows were so comfortable, probably in the top 3 of Hotels in comfort. So happy they don't wash the bedding with fragrance washing detergent, Those toxic fragrances can spoil a hotel stay for me. They could improve on adding a few personal touches though, Like a welcome note , a little chocolate as a gift, a coffee machine in the room with coffee and milk would be a small touch to improve the experience. Overall I enjoyed my stay even with the lack of a few personal welcoming touches.

I booked a room with garden view but I got the first room next to entrance to hotel facing the parking lot. Heard the motorcycle noise every early morning. I got charged for an early check in at 11am when that should have been honoring to me a no cost since I am a VIp member. Didn’t get any of my VIP benefits at this hotel. The cleanliness needs to be improved in the rooms and pool need better cleaning and maintenance

Comfortable and helpful staff.

The Resort Y Golf Club Paraguayo was a decent stay. The property is spacious and the staff were always eager to help. The rooms were clean, breakfast was decent and it was overall a pleasant stay. The property is a bit dated and they are currently doing renovations. They can also use more English speaking staff at the front desk if they want to appeal more to North American English speaking travelers.

Completely outdated, waited more than 15 minutes for a pool towel, pool area is dirty, hallways look unsafe structurally, expensive and low quality food to purchase, at least 20 bugs in my room. At least, the bed was comfortable. I would not go back and I would never recommend that hotel to anyone.

This is a Hotel over 30 years old, the rooms are nice and clean, the food provided was excellent and the staff was very helpful, my only concern was the very poor Wiffi at times there was no internet for hours on end making our stay difficult for our need to stay online. Expedia should adbised clients of this issue when making a reservation.
Apart from that the Hotel is very nice with plenty activitess on offer

It is a really nice place, and when you walk around the area you see all the nicest homes in Asuncion. Tennis, squash, pools, spa etc. Only downside is it is a bit far away from other amenities in the city, such as restaurants, coffee bars, etc.

The hotel is aged, but carries it very well. Rooms with river view are amazing! Food is good as well, and the facilities (pool, golf course, etc) are very good. Service is a bit hit and miss—some times excellent, some times terrible. Still worth it for a weekend escape!

They are in renovation.

The hotel is good, it used to be wonderful. The room is big, the bed a little hard for me. They have two beg swimming pool but in this stay they didnt’ have many peoople working there and they offer just few products . I hope in few day they can get more peoople working in the hotel. Their price are very high also comparing the produts that they offert. The beaksfast is very good.

Third stay here, and this time, just okay. Staff friendly, but not very prompt, except for Basilio who was very helpful at arrival. Room wasn't cleaned for a day (and probably two days if I hadn't complained, wondering if they forgot I was there for 11 days). A/C went out my last night there with temp in the 90's and humidity about 150%! Pool areas (@ Yacht Club & Veranda) needed cleaning.
Dinner, however, at Salon Verde restaurant was excellent!

Hotel far from everything ! Book somewhere else

We came expecting a very nice hotel but the hotel is pretty old, rude staff and the internet does not work unless you go to the lobby of the hotel where you see 50 people trying to get connection to talk to their families,friends and watch movies on Netflix,etc.
The hotel is very far from absolutely everything and the food is expensive and very low quality.
The room was not very clean and due to the fact that the hotel is next to the river, there are a million mosquitoes . If you are afraid of dengue or Zika virus stay as far way for this property as you can .

There are many better hotels in Asuncion for the same price .

Great place to stay for playing golf and tennis in Asuncion. Golf course seemed quite quiet. Must be about 20 excellent tennis courts. These activities are free to hotel residents, and just across the road from the hotel. My room had great panoramic over Rio Paraguay and across to Argentina.

Not good for a business trip

Careful with the hotel shutters to the airport, the minivan is very old, it broke in my way to the airport at 5:00am, though they solve the problem in 20 min, sending other one.
The Hotel is quite far from down town (30 min). The way is very poor. I wouldn’t recommended for business trips.
The rooms was very nice, clean, pretty view, good bathroom.
The breakfast is not bad, the restaurant has an Argentinian style grill, good meat. There is no place else to go around.

Great Environment, a pure Villa area, right next to the river and excellent facilities.

After a few years, I had the opportunity to enjoy this hotel again.

It remains a great hotel with an outstanding location and stunning views, right on the riverside of the Paraguay River. There have been some minor improvements, likely due to its acquisition by Marriott, such as renovations—especially in the lobby area.

I will definitely return.

One aspect that needs attention is the restaurants. The food is just average, and there is room for improvement.

Momentan befindet sich das Hotel in Renovation. Vorallem die Restaurationsmöglichkeiten sind sehr eingeschränkt und mangelhaft....überhaupt nicht würdig für eine Anlage mit 5-Sternen....die Zimmer sind sehr grosszügig und bequem....aber im aktuellem Zustand würde ich ein 2-Sterne Bewertung abgeben. Schade ist eigentlich, dass bei Buchung und auf der Webseite nichts erwähnt wird hiervon und es auch keinen Preisabschlag gibt....werde bis nach Ende Renovation mit Bestimmtheit nicht mehr hingehen und kann es auch nicht empfehlen.

Las habitaciones muy aplias con bastante espacio....pero ya llegaron los anos para invertir y renovar...esto dicho para todo el hotel...se ve que hace bastante tiempo no se han hecho las renovaciones necesarias! En si mismo el Hotel muy bello y bien para descansar. Los restaurantes en las piscinas bien y tambien el servicio. El restaurante pri8ncipal del hotel en forma de comidas bien; en forma de desayuno muy pobre que lamentablemente no corresponde a Hotel de 5***** para nada....ni en el ofrecimiento de los productos ni la variedad...yo daria un nivel de3***....le que no me gusto para nada durante toda mi estadia fue el servicio en este restaurante principal del Hotel. Fui 3 veces a comer ahi y en todas las ocasiones el servicio no se preocupo de mi...tuve que esperar siempre mas de 5 minutos para ser atendido ....esto de verdad que no va para un Hotel y sus Restaurantes de este presitigio y nivel...en toda forma me senti pasado por encima....lo siente tener que describir de esta forma...asi que tambien no se como ofrecer propina que es la base del jornal para estos empleados...pera decirlo con laras palabras profesionales: en el Hotel falta Formacion y Capacitacion y no quiero saber como sera en temporada alta...tendran que emplear a mas gente.
Las excusas del COVID19 lamentablemente no sirven en este caso porque los precios de la estancia tambien no toman consideracion de ello.

This was our 4th stay at the Yacht and it still rocks. Spacious rooms with great views and lots of stuff to do. There are some minor issues with staff, particularly at the pool service who do not seem very keen to help, maybe some training in user experience could be of value to solve it, however the Hotel experience is still great!

El hotel está bien pero no es un 5* no de lejos. Le faltan los detalles, desde una explicación de los servicios que tiene al llegar, el horario del desayuno, un mapa de localizácion de las instalaciones etc. Solo te dan la tarjeta del hotel y te dice que si tienes dudas que preguntes.
Los precios de los restaurantes son excesivos para la calidad y el servicio.
Lo mejor es el personal y las vistas al río.
El transporte aeropuerto-hotel-aeropuerto que en la página de Expedia para dispositivos móviles dice que está incluido hay que pagarlo, pero me dicen en Expedia que se encararán de compensarlo. Son una compañía seria.

//el baño no tiene extractor de aire , se inunda si la ducha supera los 5' , la presion de agua fluctua , no no tiene bañadera o tina.
La ventana principal sucia marcada con manos tuve que remarcarlo dos veces para q se limpiara.
Ruido a generador en varias ocasiones.

La habitación estaba sucia,tenía tierra y telas de bichos en las luces. Llegamos y no había ni una toalla,tuve que pedir 2 veces que las enviaran,y por supuesto ni una vez me pudieron disculpas.
Todos los días tenía que pedir que trajeran más toallas.
En el Restoran pedía la comida y traían otra cosa,la cambiaban pero incapaces de pedir disculpas.

NO restaurante churrascaria pedi uma picanha mal passada e veio uma picanha bem passada e sem gosto nenhum, horrível. Só não reclamei para não estragar o clima. Parecia que havia acabado de descongelar no micro-ondas e depois assaram. Outra coisa é que algumas alas do hotel ainda estão aboandonadas, mas nada que interfira no conforto.

Muito distante do centro com trânsito

Hotel muito antigo mas com quarto agradável
No final de semana, por causa das festas, fica muito barulho com música eletrônica começando a noite e ainda são 8:00hs e não terminou

Hotel para quem quer ficar longe da civilização.

O hotel tem acomodações excelentes, porém é muito distante da cidade e para quem quer curtir a vida noturna não é recomendável.
A piscina que consta da maioria das propagandas não fica disponível quando a eventos no Restaurante Varande, então não conte com ela.

Hotel muito bom, mas afastado do centro.café da manhã excelente, quartos enormes e confortáveis, cama muito boa. Se sua intenção for relaxar , piscinas, spa, esse hotel é ideal, mas considere que ele é um pouco afastado do centro.

Great resort nearby Asuncion

Great Hotel in a unique ubication, just along the Paraguay river with a private beach.This was my third time in this hotel, so, obviously, I like it. The only drawbacks this time was the main pool (with the water slide my kids love) closed for almost 2 days due a wedding and also some bars with no service along the day.
