Incredible Family-Friendly Stay!
We had an amazing experience at the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny! The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, but what really sets it apart is how perfect it is for families. There’s Jurassic Newpark adventure park attached with a variety of animals to visit, which our kids absolutely loved. The playground and large inflatable were huge hits and gave us plenty of time to relax while the kids were entertained for hours.
The hotel staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant. Everything from the rooms to the dining areas felt family-friendly without sacrificing comfort or style. This is truly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Ireland for traveling with children — a perfect mix of luxury and fun!

Not worth $700 for two nights
It was definitely not worth what we paid. The air-conditioning didnt work very well and the family hotel room was very very basic and not very big. The restaurant was terrible. Made a reservation for 730 and didnt get sat till almost 8. When we were sat it was in the back of the resteraunt in the corner was soooooooo hot. The wait staff was stressed and the it was palpable. Sadly we wouldn't recommend to stay there and definitely not to eat there.

So many children running about and crying- staff totally overwhelmed. everything had to be prebooked due to the numbers if families so did not feel like a holiday. Pool full of kids- I have older kids so understand kids are unpredictable but we were also on holiday and the numbers were just overwhelming. hotel felt like a giant uncleaned playground for toddlers. sorry but not a nice experience as s holiday…only if you have toddlers.

We arrived very early so the room wasn't ready understandably, they took our number and phoned us as soon as it was, which was 2 hours before check in. Room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and hot

The hotel is located in a great area and was very comfortable to stay in. You could tell the staff was overworked as the majority of them were short and not super friendly. The perfume/cologne smell in the lobby is incredibly overwhelming and had several guests commenting on it near us.

We had a great family holiday at the hotel. Only downside was the maintenance works going on throughout the external area from car park building, painting external walls and Jurassic park was brilliant but also very much under construction. Feel some gesture or acknowledgement from management of the disruption would have been nice.

Nice hotel, excellent staff very helpful and friendly, food was nice, but very dirty carpets and windows, lose fixtures in the bathroom, and only a waterfall shower head no smaller shower head for rinsing, feel like the attention to detail was missing, also as a couple we were put in the wing with all family room s which wasnt ideal, our room had 3 beds which restricted the size of the room, and located with just families didnt make it a relaxing break with children screaming in the halls at 8am

Biggest let down was a 7.30am breakfast, this is a bit late for business commuters. There was a large queue of tourists and business guests waiting to enter in the mornings

A very large hotel resturant was not a place to sit and relax extremely busy with families and extremely loud too many dtaff with little knowledge of service. Sitting outside the fake grass on the ground was saturated with water and the was furniture filty. A plastic bottle dumped in the flower pot. Unclean carpets throughout the hotel and absolutely no attention to detail. It could be perfect with the right management snd professional staff. Breakfast was perfect 👌.

Nice place , food was fantastic, some of the fitting in the room were loose coming out from the wall, the bed wasn’t made and our cups were not cleaned or tea station replenished , The cost of 2 nights B&B was nothing short of extortion, we could have flown to Spain for a week all inclusive for what it cost here for 2 nights B&B we will be avoiding a return and not recommending to others ,how they justify the cost is beyond me ,

It was a great family stay. The jurassic park was amazing. Very family friendly. The hotel was busy. Room was comfortable but could do with some updating. The family suite with fridge, microwave and sink was a great asset to have. Overall, a nice stay and we would return.

Disappointed with our stay at the Newpark. Check in was very confusing - told the room was not ready just minutes before the check in time of 4:00pm. Room was prepaid for but staff were unaware? Room furnishings seem outdated for supposedly a four star hotel. Service in the dining room was poor considering it was a buffet. Certainly not value for the money spent. Would not recommend.

Really recommend this hotel which is beautifully appointed, has excellent food and the best hotel health club and spa I have come across. I will definitely be back for a spa break. Only issue was that I specifically asked for a quiet room away from the families as I known this hotel caters well for them and my room was a family room right in the middle of all the families, though the peacock woke me up more than the crying children. Went to meet the peacocks, who were having a crow off with a T-Rex, and no that’s not a typo, the Newpark has a Jurassic Park full of animatronic dinosaurs, an animal farm, and extensive children’s play facilities. Looking forward to bringing the grandchildren here, when they arrive….! Till then it’ll be spa breaks.

Fabulous facilities all around and of course the Jurassic Park is an extra special place, especially for kids who love dinosaurs! So much to do without being fleeced at every turn. Newpark hotel was our last stop on our road trip through Ireland and it was a great way to end. Our check in concierge was quick with the process and managed to get us into a slightly bigger room with no issues. Our room service was quick and the food was delicious, the clam chowder was excellent.

Good hotel, ticks all the boxes. Very kid friendly with lots to do with the Dino Park and Pool. Restaurants were fine, could do with being more kid friendly, seating setup but nothing that couldn't be overcome. Sleep was good, didn't hear any noise from the many kids there. Breakfast was standard but good selection of food for all.

We had a brilliant stay with our two small kids. The hotel is beautiful & everything was to a very high standard. They cater so well to families & there is loads to do on site - the dino park, playground & pool were all brilliant. There’s also a small playroom, games room & family room inside. I would highly recommend this hotel for families.

We loved this property for many reasons. The food was great. The pool and spa area was a great surprise. It was kid friendly and there was a steam room, plunge bath, hot tub and sauna for adults. There is a great petting zoo, park, dinosaur walk and fairy lane for kids.

The property is away from downtown so it takes 20 minutes to walk. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. First night there was a wedding reception that was loud until about midnight. Then people were walking the halls and talking until about 3. Next night there was another reception again people were walking the halls and talking all night long. We really could not get a good night sleep.

Had a 4 night stay here with my husband. Easy to find and lots of free parking available. Check in was easy. We were allocated a lovely room on floor 2 with a nice view of the garden. Large room with lovely bathroom - usual facilities in the room - could have done with more coat hangers as there were only 6 in the wardrobe.
Breakfast was lovely - a great choice of cold and hot.
We did not use the spa/pool area as had no time.
We love Kilkenny and the walk into the main areas takes about 15 mins along the river for part of the way. A pleasant safe walk both there and back.

Outstanding hotel, professional, friendly and welcoming staff. We spent the morning in the town which is a 5minutes drive from the hotel. Check in was very easy and there were no queues. Our room was spacious, we had no bathrobes when we arrived but a simple call to reception and they were sent straight up. The pool was heated, the staff ensured rules were upheld, it was sanitised before and after our use. We had dinner at Gulliver's restaurant, the food was divine, highly recommended. Although we have stopped in Killkeny many times this was our first stop at this hotel and we felt very welcomed and relaxed from the moment we got there. The staff were very polite and helpful and the food was very good. We would definitely stop there again.

Pleasent stay, good location, bathroom let it down, Room 252 ( deluxe family room, paid €499 for family delux , 2 adult, 2 kids, 2 nights) bathroom In need of repair, bath surround clearly rotting, toilet roll holder falling off, many black hairs found upon arrival in bath and sink, holes at top of 2 duvets. It is a nice hotel but for what we paid I expected a little more.

This is a lovely property with tons of amenities. It was jammed packed when we got there and had a “DisneyLand” vibe to it. Children were everywhere.
Our room was downstairs from the main floor. There was not an elevator to get there, so if that is a problem for you, be aware of this at least. Our final surprise was that there was no air, and a broken mini fan in the room. This forced us to have the window open all day/night. It opened into a courtyard or children’s play area with soccer goals.
