My experienced with pm and night front desk was very disappointing. Karen informed me that
Michael
Biggest fault was breakfast. Along with the standard waffles they had a pretend omelette with some orange goo inside that was probably supposed be cheese, but didn't even look like it let alone taste like it. And Biscuits and gravy, which I know has some fans, but I'm not among them. Notice no mention of meat, because there wasn't any meat. Not the worst I've had, but not very good.
Room was nice and roomy, it has the 2 feet in width that so many seem to be lacking today. Heat-A/C was not good. A wall mounted stat where you could turn it on or off, set the temp and high or low fan speed, but not select what function you wanted, nor could you select fan only. It probably works fine on paper, maybe, maybe even on a temp recorder, but far less so in person. Not awful, but definitely not good.
On the other hand, I've stayed in Ely a number of times over the years and only one other one was even mediocre, so by that scale it was great.

This place worked great for what we needed. We were comfortable, the beds were nice, there were plenty of parking spaces, and breakfast was good. The staff when we interacted were friendly.
Richard
All good
Aaron
Was a great stay, spa and pool was nice.
Holly
The hotel was quiet and clean. Staff at check in were nice. Housekeeping staff are excellent! Rooms were spacious, breakfast offerings typical (hotel eggs, biscuits and gravy, breads, yogurt, waffles, fruit, etc). Parking was easy. There are only three floors so if you need to take stairs, it's fairly easy. In room amenities are coffee maker/coffee, refrigerator, microwave, toiletries, and table/desk to work at. The cons: the water never got hot, so all showers were just warm. Looks like a renovation was done on the cheap as the wallpaper on every wall was peeling off.
The hotel shares a parking lot with a grocery and coffee shop so that is very convenient.

Poorly maintained and overpriced.
Bob
Not near enough parking space, if you are out after 8:00 pm you will be parking in the grocery store parking lot.
Staff is great, very accommodating.

The room was clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were adequate. The pool was nice.
Scott
Good for a pitstop on our way to Vegas
Norman
I did not like the toilet, it sat to low and older people like me and the wife have a hard time getting up. the room was clean the beds nice
Holly
Pros: rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast in the morning was free and had lots of options (eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, yogurt, fruit, breads and coffee/juices). Housekeeping was wonderful. Coffee in the room. Tesla chargers are in the adjacent parking lot along with a grocery store and coffee shop. Location is quiet. Cons: looks like a renovation done on the cheap. Both of my rooms had wallpaper peeling off the walls and torn blackout curtains. Water never really got hot, just warm.

A great place to stay in Ely. It's my halfway stop between LA & Boise.
Virginia
Our room was not clean, in the bathroom there was a small pile of dirt in the corner. The mattress was lumpy, wallpaper beginning to peel, and the whole place seemed tired and run down. Breakfast was either these rubbery omelet things with an option of biscuits and gravy or powdered eggs with sausage. Other choices were cereals, bagels, or waffles- All high carb stuff. Ugh. We will be staying at Holiday Inn next time in Ely. The only good thing was the location of Ridley's next door for grabbing last minute items.
Tami
EXPEDIA screwed up my reservation. The hotel did not have a pet friendly room for me. I was forced to find other accommodations for the night. I stay at this hotel twice a year with my pet, traveling between Washington state and AZ.
Mary
It's a nice hotel. The staff is helpful and efficient. It is located next to a grocery store, gas stations, and several restaurants.
CHRISTIAN
We stayed here for one night and I must stay my favorite part of the stay were the staff. They were very patient in the check-in and check-out. The free breakfast though was a disappointment with no available protein except for the eggs, the staff I must say was very friendly. We liked it!

Great place to R & R on a trip.
Nice quiet, clean and helpful staff.
They helped with restaurant selection and even ranked them according to our preferences.

Good location, helpful staff, nice dining room. The air con blew dust out into the room. The layout of the hotel was odd, we and other customers wandered the hallways at first.
Jeremy Michael
Clean room. Yummy breakfast. Great staff and parking was great and felt safe
Ronald
Very nice breakfast
James
Been here twice now. Great stay here. Clean comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Will stay here again when in the area
RONALD
nice property for our one night stay
Jamie
Perfect on the road location. Comfortable beds. Walking distance to grocery store which was nice and Mexican food nearby was great.
Kwanho
Good
Mark
Decent property and convenient to access. The breakfast area get chaotic due to poor layout. Food was tolerable.
Sandra
Staff was very welcoming, hotel is clean & well kept.
Jeff
The reason I couldn’t give our stay five stars is because the rooms need updating. The lights are very dim and there are no plugs by the bed to be able to charge all the electronics (phone, watch, earbuds, etc…)
Cheryl
sheets and towels cleaned every day and room cleaned
Stan
No complaints.
Robert
Everything was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean and everything worked properly.
Kurt
Not a lot to choose from here
Lynn
Clean room and a good breakfast
Rachel
Breakfast was a really good one, the workers did very well keeping things filled to eat. And it was a pretty good variety for a continental breakfast. All the staff deserve a raise, they were super helpful and friendly. The rooms were a little outdated, especially the flooring. The bathroom floor had cracks all over the place in our room. The carpet had lumps under it all over. The pillows were terrific!
Jack
Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Roscoe
When we arrived, there was a homeless person’s car parked near the front door in the hotel parking lot. Not a good start. The hotel was obviously ready to be sold. Lots of deferred maintenance. The room was completely unacceptable. The wall paper was peeling. The bathroom smelled like sewer gas. We had to keep the door shut with the bathroom fan running constantly. The fan clearly had not been serviced for a very long time. It sounded like a thousand crickets. The curtains were torn. I could go on, but you get the idea. We couldn’t wait to leave!
Paul
Well, the room was pretty poorly kept up. The blackout curtain was ripped and had a hole in it, the air conditioner unit cover was hanging off and rattled when it came on and off, the sink faucet broke, the chair and otterman were dirty, stained dirty. I paid 197.00 for a night and that room should have been a 75 to 100 dollar room. Just terribly kept up. I let the hotel know about the issues. Maybe they can fix them for the next guest.A discount would be nice. Room 210
Jeanette
Our room was clean and we didn't have any issues.
Jeanette
Rooms were clean, staff was very nice. Breakfast was good, and parking was also very good
Alicia
Reasonable breakfast. Elevator went wonky when the Open Door button was pushed to let in another passenger.
Molly
Spacious room. Very quiet. Friendly front desk- especially Pam. Good breakfast.
Wanda
Wonderful. Clean, quiet. Friendly.
Only issue was no elevator in the Amex building for the second floor.

Shreena
No elevator on suites side to get luggage or strollers upstairs to rooms. The property was not the most clean hotel I have been to.
Ronda
We loved this hotel! Super nice rooms and a very nice pool! The breakfast was very clean and well stocked. Staff was excellent and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
Don
The facility needs ongoing maintenance . our room 210 had the following issues 1) bathroom fan was noisy with a pitch noise, 2) black out curtains were torn and could be closed folly, 3) all the wall paper seams near the ceiling were peeling away from the wall, possible signs of
Amber
I had the privilege of staying in both suites during this trip. Unfortunately, the experience was impacted by maintenance issues in each room.
In the first suite, several electrical outlets and the telephones were not functioning. In the second suite, the main television did not work. What was particularly disappointing was that no alternative room was offered. Instead, I was informed that there had been a maintenance ticket for the first suite approximately a year ago and for the second suite about a week ago, yet the issues remained unresolved.
Grounds were very clean and the continental breakfast had a lot to choose from, will stay here again just in a different room!

The front door staff could have been more courteous, the lichen or breakfast
Lelanie
The wall room covering start to came off. The room was clean . Staff very helpful.
Bradley
Stayed at hotel twice during 2 week travel, would recommend hotel to others. No problems.
Revoir
Good breakfast and clean rooms

We were unhappy at the point of check in that we were not eligible to stay on any floor other then the first floor facing the parked cars duo to the fact that we had booked with a third party. In this case your company. If we would like to pay and upgrade charge they could accommodate our request.
We have stayed at this property for over twenty years and never have been told this before.
Using your organization should not mean we're treated like third class citizens.
Please reach out to this property and determine why this is occurring to your clients.
Thank you, Jerry & Joan Johnston

Staff was terrific and our room very clean. The breakfast had good dishes that are not typically included at other hotels, such as biscuits and gravy. The hotel has seen some hard use and needs maintenance. For example, the bathtub was chipped, wallpaper was starting to peel at the edges, and carpet in the hallway stained.
Jared
Perfect stay , great location!
Andrea
Great place to stay very clean and great service
Karen
Ely is a delightful small town. We came for the star night train ride and happened upon the road challenge race, so we had a chance to see them displayed.
We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the breakfast each of those days. The grocery store next door was super convenient.
We are glad we chose your hotel and would choose it again and in another location. This was our first time staying at a La Quinta.

The fun desk person was very helpful.

Parking filled up early. Felt a little uncomfortable parking across in the shopping center. The room and amenities were clean and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and plentiful, although I recommend keeping the breakfast sausages warmer.
Susan
Older property but very large room. Pet friendly
Deborah
Really puzzled why, driving down the road I have to fill out a pre-registration, with a picture of drivers license and credit card information, only to stand in line for 10 minutes to do the same thing in person???
As there was a car race in town, parking was tight unless you were okay with walking from the shopping center’s parking lot. Just a touch inconvenient.

Clean, comfortable, terrific breakfast buffet and helpful, courteous staff.

The staff is friendly and helpful. We appreciated how quiet it was. The breakfast was filling.

Great stop
karen
Great place to stay if you find yourself an ELY Nevada. The rooms are a little dated, but this is a Clean, comfortable hotel. They offer breakfast in the morning.. There’s a grocery store next-door, a dollar tree across the street.
Dawn
Comfortable room. Yummy breakfast. Helpful staff.
Anita k

Cindy
The room was very clean, the breakfast was enjoyable there were nice options and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Barbara
Clean and Convenient. Staff was great and price was reasonable. I would recommend if traveling through Ely.
Kathy
Rooms clean & great bed&bedding. Rooms need refreshing. Getting tired looking. Breakfast staff disorganized & slow to keep coffee & food filled. I am celiac & didn’t ask for anything as brought my own bread for toast. Last visit in October on way to AZ, had a GF muffin given yo me by staff & was terribly sick. Didn’t chance it again. Usually stay there 2/x year.
Ivan
Good breakfast has pool, jacuzzi
Pete
It was great
Ramon
Rooms need updating, the bathroom and bed are worn out.
Sharyl
Clean room. Parking confusing
Maryann
Clean room. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Internet was good. Grocery store across parking lot very convenient. Had dog with us and there was area out back for him.
Lisa
pet friendly, clean room, good hot breakfast, next to grocery store
Jennifer
Room smelled like a dog kennel, carpet was filthy so I put on some socks but then they got wet from the carpet. Disgusting. Check in was awful and i stood in line for about 20 minutes (2 people in front of me) and they couldn't find me a room however the staff was very nice
David
The air conditioning heater did not work and wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Carpet could’ve used the cleaning.
David
The room was fine. The bed was fine. The property itself was a little bit rundown, but not badly. But there was almost 0 food at breakfast so there was literally nothing to eat but a bagel.
Paul
No hot water just lukewarm for showers
vern
all good

Don’t stay here. Our room was unclean & smelt like pet urine & smoke. There was hair in the tub & bed, and just the whole property is in distressed condition with minimal upkeep. There were stains all over the couch & chair. The staff was friendly at check-in and then, they weren’t very kind about the unclean conditions, didn’t offer us other accommodations, so we left without staying. In full transparency, we were able to collect a refund after working hard to get it.
Dan
I was so disappointed in our stay with your facility. The check in was with very rude person that hardly smiled the entire check in and check out. The bed was hard and furniture looked like second hand furniture as well as the dinning furniture. I don't understand how your can let the facility get so run down.
Rebecca
We were placed on the second floor of a building with no elevator which was a real challenge when we had to unload all our luggage. The building we were in was also separated from the main hotel building so going to get breakfast in the morning became too complicated and we just skipped it.
Kent
This is a great place to stay and is a good value. That said, it is showing its age and needs a bit of maintenance (i.e., the wallpaper in the room and hallways needs some attention, and the pool area needs a refresh).
