We had 5 nights at this property and could not really fault anything major. The property is massive and would be quite hard to get around if on crutches or wheelchair etc… Room was spotless, staff were lovely and the variety of restaurants for the All-Inclusive was great. They have 2 bus services running from the property going into Kos old town and the port about 5 kms away.

The Mitsis resort looks the part and has a few strong positives. The food selection is excellent, the restaurants are well-run, and the service from the restaurant staff is genuinely great.

But there are too many frustrating issues that take away from the experience:
•Evening bar service is awful – you can be waiting 30 to 40 minutes just for a drink. This doesn’t feel like a one-off; it seems designed that way due to poor staffing levels.
•It’s difficult to get even water – in a 5-star resort, especially during high temperatures, bottled water should be available without hassle. It’s a basic expectation that just wasn’t met.
•Alcohol is very low quality – only cheap local brands were offered. For a so-called premium resort, this really isn’t good enough. A decent selection should be available, even if some drinks are at a supplement.
•Pool area needs urgent maintenance – the limestone around the pool edge is chipped and sharp. It’s a hazard that could easily be fixed but has clearly been ignored.
•Obvious cost-cutting in the wrong places – reception, check-in, and bar staff are all stretched thin. It gives the impression that cutting corners has become the norm.

Mitsis has the potential to be a great resort, but right now it falls short in too many important areas. Until these issues are properly addressed, I wouldn’t return

No where close to a 5 star resort. Food available very poor. Portion control mean. Often in the morning my coffee was in a cup no saucer. At dinner had to beg for second glass of wine. Not enough variety or places to have lunch. We will not go back. Room very good. Has a bungalow and shared pool. That’s good but service, choice and standards woefully short - 3 or 4 star at best

The complex is huge. Involving lots of walking uphill and down. Has very good a la carte options you need to book well in advance. I would say this is a 4* property with good food and staff. We had a good time in the sun, but definitely not 5*.

An excellent holiday. Great range of superb food choices in the many restaurants. The pool areas and beach meant you always had a different view and you could get drinks and snacks from the many bars and kiosks around the resort. The staff were unfailingly polite and hardworking and made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

This is a really nice family friendly hotel. The hotel is contemporary, well designed and visually impressive - in places. The food is good, the main eating area is typical for all inclusive although we’ve noticed over the last few years that the range has reduced and at peak times it feels very impersonal. The room was comfortable with a well stocked fridge mini bar. The bathroom was dated but ok. We had a seaview room which although a little out of the way was quiet and in a nice position. Some of the staff were lovely, whereas with others you definitely felt like an inconvenience! There’s loads of pools at this hotel and although we prefer the be beach it looked like there were plenty of beds - although early towel rules definitely apply for the best spots!! We’ve stayed at several mitsis hotels and this one was good but we prefer others. Overall, would recommend, but consider the 5 star rating quite broadly!!

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at the Blue Domes. We were a large group of 21 and had a wonderful stay.
Amongst the many positives to highlight were the volume of a la carte choices. 6 evening a la carte restaurants, each with it’s own identity and one breakfast a la carte where our server was determined that we enjoyed the experience.
The sports/ leisure team were exceptional and hosted a variety of various types of activity that the bulk of our group took advantage of from HIIT, Pilates, stretching, aqua aerobics and beach volleyball.
The tennis courts were good and the sea was a lovely temperature.
The entertainment each night was a real bonus, each of the various acts were very good and managed to get us on our feet dancing, although the highlight was the beach party and fireworks.
The spa was also very good, as were the massage treatments.
We did have a slight mistake with our rooms which got resolved.
Overall we had a great holiday and would highly recommend, the staff were wonderful and the work ethic they have is exceptional.

This property was fantastic, the staff are awesome super friendly and nice. They are so helpful and always great you with a smile. The entire hotel was super clean and you can tell the staff is putting a lot of effort into maintaining that! Food is ok nothing too crazy we were looking for more of authentic Greek food which we didn’t really find in the hotel so we opted to have our lunches in the town since we were there almost everyday.

This was an amazing stay! Food was good in all of the restaurants but i especially loved the grab and go. Specifically, the patisserie and the gyros bar were amazing! The only downside was the subbed situation as all sunbeds were gone by 7am but luckily we hade a ground floor garden view bungalow which provides sunbeds outside your room. But overall it was ana amazing for holiday!

Golden Wedding Celebrations

I was recommended this holiday by others for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. High expectations not fulfilled.
Had to stand in que for half and hour plus to check in even
though we had checked in online to save time.
Buggy to bungalow on arrival asked driver to wait and take us back up the hill to get some food. He told us to phone reception when ready. Phoned for buggy twice but did not arrive. We had to walk in the dark not knowing where to go.
Pleasant surprise in the morning when we opened the curtains lovely sea view almost on the beach. Lovely room only downfall not soundproof as stated.
Main restaurant although plenty of choices the food was lukewarm. For a 5 star hotel crockery did not match and no teaspoon to stir tea-coffee.
Other restaurants in resort were good.
Bar staff and waiting staff were good.
Angelo? in the bar at tennis courts was very nice.
Dougie tour operator was excellent.
Hotel made our anniversary special with a cake and fizz to our room.

Staying at the Mitsis was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and hotel was very luxurious. They thought of everything from the smallest detail to make your stay an amazing experience. The waters are cold at this time of the year (pool and sea) but we booked a jacuzzi which was very well used by us. The only fault I would say is that the dishes in the buffet area were sometimes are not properly cleaned but as soon as I informed our waiter, they changed it for us. The food through out the resort is fantastic, from alfresco dining to chilled, something for everyone. My kids love the ice cream, it was their favourite place. The scenery is mountain, sea and pool, not much more to ask for. Overall an amazing experience that I would definitely be returning to.

Overall the stay was very comfortable for a large adult family trip. Unfortunately the size of the a-la carte restaurants are not a suitable size for the hotels guest capacity which meant until we complained about the poor buffet food, we could only get one reservation in 10 nights to eat in one of the restaurants.
The fitness classes were excellent, especially the beautiful yoga classes led by Victoria who I can highly recommend.
The housekeeping could be improved as many days we were not given any towels, replenished cups/mugs/tea or coffee etc.
The waiters/waitresses could definitely do with some training in how to please the customer as multiple times per day we were given attitude, or told no. But overall the service was average.

9 blokes stayed here for a 30th send off and we were extremely impressed even with the hotel being centred around a couples retreat. Great facilities, good food, great ale and very friendly staff making us feel at home. If you do want something away from the couples night life the disco bar ran by Local Dimitri is brilliant. Very friendly, karaoke, sport and a whole lot of sweet Caroline.

Food in pre booked restaurants was really good, as well as in the little restaurants around the pool, the only downside of this hotel is quality of food in the main restaurant which is bad from breakfast to dinner we didn't enjoy it all all. Not much to do in the evening, property is an hour walk away from the small town.

Very misleading and not worthy of 5 stars

I must admit I am hard to please, but I can overlook hotel issues if service is good. But when you get a room that smells of sewage and service that blunt and rude then I feel the need to give my experience of this hotel.
Firstly it looks nothing like it does on the website, its old and very tired.
The rooms are actually very big, so thats a plus, but they are old and dated. Our room smelt so badly of sewage and after informing the reception and being told \"sorry\" they did nothing about it. The grass outside our room hadn't been cut - see photo of our lounger (they were mostly like this)
The hotel pool areas are dated and not well maintained and the sun beds if you didn't have a towel most of them you would refuse to sit on.
The standard of drinks you get range from poor to pretty good depending on the bar you visit - Pool bar is poor / Beach bar is good and reception bar very good.
The food in general is ok - if you manage to get into a \"al a carte\" we ate out 1 night out of two even though it was all inc.
This is a numbers hotel - they can and do cater for a lot of guests, so they don't care if they don't not meet people's expectations of a 5 star hotel charging £350 per night (perhaps we over paid as we were only there for 2 nights - luckily)
I'll end where I started, I am hard to please. But if you are expecting a 5 star resort with good service, modern and well maintained and give value for £350 do not stay here.
I would never return if even it was free

We stayed for 1 week and we’re upgraded to a family room from a bungalow with westerly views and glimpses of the water from our room. In general majority of staff were wonderful.
Housekeeping had a habit of not always knocking and woke us up on one occasion when sleeping in, and walking into the room one evening just as I got out of the shower…

Apart from that, the food especially the a la carte is very good, make sure you make reservations on the Mitsis website before your holiday otherwise you may have trouble getting a reservation. The chefs tend to be a bit heavy on the salt, and a few times we were told it was not possible to order some meals without salt. Not sure if it is due to COVID but they ore add salt and pepper instead of having it out on the tables.

My kids loved the pools, note they are all filled with the sea water, so temperature will dry depending on the time of the year. We did however get sea lice rash from one of the pools which deterred us from swimming for a day.

Entertainment was great for kids 6 and under they enjoyed the nightly disco, and the kids club staff were lovely too.

Only real downside, no table service to the sun loungers so you need to get up to get a drink, I would have expected this from a 5 star hotel.

We needed to extend our trip to Kos for 2 days and wanted to try a different hotel to be able to make recommendations to several family members that will be traveling to this island over the next few months.

We initially booked another hotel on the same property that we were not happy with and made the switch to the Blue Domes. It was remarkably nicer and the staff were very patient and helped to make our last few days in Kos enjoyable.

The grounds are lovely and it is easy to get around. Again, the staff were friendly and worked so hard to make the guests’ stay a great experience. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The choice of restaurants is fantastic, especially for lunches. The choice of cocktails is somewhat restricted but overall an excellent holiday.

We will be returning

We haven't holidayed within Europe for a while but after this trip we are definitely planning on returning to this hotel. We were nervous before booking due to mixed reviews but are glad we came to the hotel. The views are amazing, rooms are great, and food quality was very good, especially the lunch options which we all loved. There are some queues but we found with the baby we were up early and didn't usually dine during peak times so usually missed these. With the current Covid restrictions I feel the hotel has managed the situation as best as possible. The staff were all amazing, especially when you consider they have to work with masks on, always a positive attitude and you can see the smiles. Great value for money, thank you to the team at Mitsis Blue Domes

Excellent stay at the Blue Domes Hotel from start to finish. Staff all very friendly and polite. Buffet food was good and plenty of alternative options in the smaller cafes and A la Carte. The A la Carte gets booked up quick with fewer tables due to social distancing measures so book on your first morning. Some small queues for the restaurants some of the time again due to social distancing measures. I actually prefer that in the buffet restaurant you are served by staff rather than helping yourself. Room was cleaned every day and all towels changed. The waiting staff from the bar work really hard! Lots of pools to choose from and the beach is nice but is fine stones as opposed to sand but is ok. Sea is very clear. Beach beds get busy from 10 onwards but always found some beds. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

I’ve just returned from a week at Blue Domes. This is truly a beautiful hotel - the landscape, the views day and night are at times breathtaking. I stayed in a Garden View Bungalow close to one of the 10 salt water pools. I think the hotel have coped well with the COVID-19 crisis. There was plenty of staff in the buffet restaurant as they needed to serve you rather than helping yourself. I tended to eat my breakfast at Healthy Corner (really tasty Greek yogurt dishes and smoothies) - I absolutely loved the smaller restaurants dotted round the central Pool Bar - such a great choice to cater for all needs: Burger Inn (fresh tasty burgers, very nice salads - The Academy my favourite!), Ouzeri for Mezze, Sushi, Pitta and Pastry corner.

We did have difficulty getting booked into the A La Carte restaurants - I only managed to try the Mexican but the food there was outstanding.

As the hotel is sculpted into the mountain, the resort is hilly but mostly manageable for mobility impaired. There are lifts but some of the ramped sections are a long way round.

The beach is stony and got very busy but we tended to stick to the pools where there were comfortable sunbeds. Loved the fact your beach towel was in your room and replaced daily. one suggestion would be that the pool near to Tilos rooms had a small cafe? And sadly the coffee machine was lit working so a bit of a walk to get an ice coffee (not the end of the world!).

Property was quite large and spread out, which is both good and bad; if you have mobility problems it could be a challenge; however, the property did have \"club cars\" that would pick you up and take you where you wanted. Overall the staff in all areas were outstanding and always helpful, nothing was too much to ask. We are not normally writing reviews but I thought when I booked the hotel I did not get the info I wanted from previous reviews.If I would have known how good this place was I would have been here many years ago ! Its great.

Hotel is clean and they are taking good precautions for covid 19 and cleaning furniture restaurant tables etc. constantly.

Hotel staff are great always happy to help.

Rooms were very clean and were kept clean throughout are stay.Beds comfortable and room size was average.We had the room with pool which was nice but as there are so many pools not a must.Free mini bar stocked up daily and if more needed on request.

Food, this is extremely good.Normally don’t go for all inclusive but here they have it all. Four A la carte restaurants.Mexican ,Greek,Italian and Pan Asian.Just make sure you book a table,seems like the online table booking was always full but we got tables by asking guest relations.
The main buffet has great food and changed menus daily,they did get large queues to get in but the queue does go down in 5 mins unless you want a table outside then this may take a little longer .Some slight queues for the food but nothing to worry about.
There are 6 other smaller restaurants,Sushi,Pita,Burger,heathly,pastries and greek meze.All were great absolutely no complaints and we did give them a good go, tried most things on the menu throughout our stay.
This is a real full inclusive, even room service and mini bars in your room are included.

Beautiful place. Easy access to rent ATVs and do things. Lots of families. Not really a quiet place but still lovely. Ocean was very dirty. I recommend leaving the resort and traveling a bit for clean ocean. Also recommend visiting nearby areas just to see the island!

Enjoyed our stay very much. The resort is an excellent location for couples or families. There is plenty of on site activities to occupy anyone.
The staff and service is very good. There is a high standard of cleanliness with respect to ones apartment. You can hire vehicles to get around the island or the service Bus which calls at the Resort.

KOS at Blue Domes for LIFE

We came to this hotel because our friend's daughter was getting married in KOS. We arrived pretty early but the reception desk took our baggage and gave us our bands. We were able to eat breakfast and lunch as well as use facilities before check in. Our room was nice and had beautiful view of resort. They also delivered a delicious fruit platter with a bottle of wine to our room. Everything about the service was impeccable.Besides the buffet restaurant, I love their different eateries. The crepe place was delish.The healthy eatery had amazing healthy drinks. The beach had bottle service where you could lounge and be catered to with drinks. They also had a cotton candy machine on the beach as well as an ice cream cart. Our flight wasn't until late but we were able to keep our band until we truly left the hotel. This resort was a perfect ending to our Greece trip. It made me even fall inlove with Greece. I imagined myself coming back next year even by myself. Definitely I will recommend to my friends and family.

The staff were fantastic without exception and the standard of the food and beverage was superb. Rooms were great - we had a twin which was fine for us with a child bed and a cot, all amenities provided and perfectly clean and maintained.

My one critisism is the booking for the 4 a la carte restaurants was difficult and availability was extemely limited, however when we passed the restaurants nightly they seemed half empty.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, great food and drinks. Most staff are amazing but some hit and miss. Wouldn’t give us a room to shower and change in due to a late flight which was annoying and reception staff commented that if we had enjoyed the food and drink he was happy and wasn’t bothered that there was no rooms available for us to change in - not what you’d expect from 5* premium but it didn’t spoil the trip. Some things looking a little shabby for such a premium resort but we had a fabulous time.

Amazing resort! There are simply not enough words to explain the Blue Domes resort. We travelled there as a family of 4 adults and we enjoyed every minute there. The resort is on the beach with a great beach bar serving some amazing drinks and very lovely staff. The beach waiter service is great and the sea is so clear with lovely tropical fish. The hotel is clean and food is delicious. We were spoilt for choice with the number of restaurants! We enjoyed the healthy corner for sandwiches, desserts at the pastry corner were amazing and you can take ice cream to the beach! The room was wonderful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Do take mosquito repellent though as we were bitten at night. We loved the main restaurant where Leonidas the waiter offered 5 star premium service. He paid attention to detail with topping up drinks, putting out dessert spoons and offering extra plates and cutlery. We enjoyed the brunch offered where the chefs took extra care to listen to our choices. The Italian meals for lunch were sensational. The night time bar had lovely service I would enjoy the lattes and Edita is hard working yet lovely to talk to. We checked out at 12pm and the staff were lovely to offer us a luggage room and shower room for our flight at 9pm. We enjoyed the resort during the day and made use of this which I have never come across before. I can’t wait to go back to this resort and my family are planning to go back every year as we have found the best place to visit.

My wife and I arrived the Blue Domes in September for 3, couldn't fault the hotel or staff.
The staff is amazing, all of them. Nothing was too much trouble for them, their politeness and willingness to help.
On our first day we went to the beach, where we found to our surprise, we had waiter service, this also applied around the pool areas and during the evening entertainment, this was a first for us. There is a selection of watersports available.
Layout of complex is clean, beautiful gardens areas.
All the restaurants were excellent, from the poolside ones to the A la Carte, our favorite was the Tahi. We had no problems booking the restaurants.
Clean beach/pool towels are provided every day and the mini bar is re-stocked every day, all at no extra charge. The safe in the room was also free.
Managers were visible, friendly and approachable if needed.
The hotel is a bit far from Kos city (about 40 minutes drive), but very close to the airport (15 minutes drive).

The only bad thing was the pools are very cols and salt water.

We had a private pool which was fantastic. The waiter would come and ask off we wanted drinks when at the pool, such good service.

Would definitely return!

Went as a couple and had a great long weekend. We checked out of the room on time but we able to continue using all of the resort's amenities until the late afternoon when we left to catch our flight. We were even able to reserve a loaner room for 30 minutes in order to shower and change before departing. Airport taxi is a flat rate 22 euros each way. Name brand liquor at every bar besides the beach bar. Would definitely return!

Great hotel, definitely delux level. The suite was clean and spasious (perfect for our family of 5), decorated with attention to details. The food was excellent, great choise to fit everyone's taste from little kids to adults. The food court by the pool was excellent with crepes, icecreams and more snacks.
There are 3 water slides in a near by hotel, only 5 minutes walk from this hotel.
Evening entertainment was also at the decent level, including kids disco.
The kids club also looks fine, but too crowded in August (over 30 kids for 3 adults), so our kids preffered not to attend their activities.
The sea shore was clean and well equiped. The water was clean and the fish were amazing!
The only down side for us was the salty water in the pool and LIMITED number of free sun beds by the pool. The guests put their towels on the sun beds early in the morning and never free them, even when not used. We got to an absurde situation, where 4 people were inside the pool, 10 people outside and all 30 sun beds are taken, so we did not even have 1 place to put our towels. This issue should be definitely resolved by the management.

One big illusion

Good things:
Nice kids park in the hotel

Bad things:
Service is tarible, reception crew is nothing but willing to help and solve problems.
We got a room with sewage smell.
If you have kids that need stroler you are unable to go from place to place with the stroler because al of the hotel is with stairs it is not accessible to wheelchair as well.
We asked for blankets in the evening one of the days the reception told us they are sending someone to bring us, they didn't when we called again they said again we are sending someone now.. They didn't we got the blankets only after a third call the next day!!
In the hotel there are 4 theme restaurants, you can only eat there by making a reservation that can only be made by one computer near the main dinning room, we stayed in the hotel for 7 days and couldn't make reservation to any of the 4 and we tried every day.
Wi-Fi is a basic service in my opinion, in this hotel you will pay 54 euros for 7 days and get very slow internet access.
Towel service - you can only get towels for the pool/beach between 9:30-11:30 This is very restricting and if your towel got wet and you want to replace it..? Well forget about that... Not to mention they take 20 euros deposit for each towel...
In conclusion you find yourself struggling to get proper service Instead of enjoying your vacation.
This place is not recommended!!!!!

Great vacation

This is a great hotel for relaxation, everything is included and you can have as much fun as you want and eat and drink as much as you want. The only downside is that the air conditioner in the rooms is weak and people who suffer from heat in the summer will have trouble falling asleep. Other than that i strongly recommend this hotel and will hopefully stay there again.

Only 15-20 minutes away from the airport. Taxi cost EUR 22. Was upgraded upon arrival which was a nice gesture. Room was great, large and airy. Only gripe was when the weather was poor, the TV in the room had a poor choice of channels. Bed was comfortable. The pools were great, no issue to find a sun bed, many people visited the beach area instead of the pools. The buffet food was poor. There was very little variation in the week. The bookable restaurants were great. Lovely food! Staff were very friendly and worked extremely hard throughout. The price of wifi was unacceptable. We had 2 days of continuous rain where the resort was flooded and the least they could have done was provide free/discounted wifi for people to use.
