Such friendly staff. It was the end of the season, so admittedly there were fewer guests, but they remembered my name and room number and made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Really recommend.

The room I was given looked nothing like the pictures. When I spoke to the manager, he was extremely rude. They offered me an upgrade for €40 per night but ended up charging me €50 per night. I contacted the hotel about this issue, but they never replied back to me, not even once. Later, the manager apologized and admitted it was a misunderstanding, promising to process a refund for the upgrade. Unfortunately, I still haven’t received anything back. Very disappointing experience.

Loved our stay at the Plaza Resort Hotel! The pool was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and clean and the service was excellent. Dinner at The Blue Restaurant was superb! The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable.

The property was beautiful, but felt like it hadn't had an upgrade in over 30 years. It had a very old feel but was a beautiful property. Rooms were run down, and felt very old. Old TV, no international plugs...very old feel. Customer service was horrible. I asked for several things and got very bad response and people were not interested in helping whatsoever. 1 example...I walked to an outdoor bar to get some ice. They told me NO and told me to call room service! Very disappointed

This property is not a 5 star; the AC units in the room did not work well, no tea/coffee pot and supplies are in the rooms; the property needs a paint job outside; unless you only want to sit poolside or on the beach; the property is one hr away from the city and sight seeing therefore you spend a LOT on taxis. Food at the hotel is very overpriced; a burger is E.U. 25, 14 outside. A bottle of water is 140 there and 40 cents outside! Should be provided free. Will not stay there again

The resort is absolutely beautiful. Right on the beach and the pool beside it. Our room was beautiful too. Good size and nice balcony overlooking the property and view of the Aegean.

The only reason why I did not give this property an excellent rating is our room’s air conditioning was not working the first night we were there and the subsequent actions of the management. When we checked in we dropped our stuff in the room and headed straight to the beach/pool. When we came back into our room several hours later we noticed the room was warm and discovered the AC was off. We turned it on then headed out for dinner. By the time we got back to our rooms it was midnight and the room was still very warm so we came to the realization the AC wasn’t working. We did not sleep well at all. We left the patio door open but the bright light on the balcony could not be turned off and the birds started singing at 5:00am.

The next morning I asked the front desk to fix the AC or find us another room. The AC was eventually fixed but I asked the manager working for some sort of compensation since we had such a terrible night. The manager said because I did not complain the day before, he was unwilling to do anything. I pressed and they gave us two complimentary drinks in their bar. We paid for a premium room and received below standard service so I cannot give an excellent rating.

Another couple travelling with us did not have any issues with their AC. If anything the room was too cold.

Excellent hotel. Staff were very nice and happy to help. Good quiet location, no problems getting a sun bed at all. Beach is next to pool area and is a mixture of sand and pebble. Breakfast was the \"usual\" buffet type. Both cooked and cold. It was of a better standard than the some other 5 star hotels we have been to. It is less than an hour from the airport, cost us less than 40 euro. If you are after a peaceful hotel this place is great!

This is a venerable resort hotel with spacious public areas beachfront pool and dining and bar service. Parking is plentiful adjacent to hotel. Staff are friendly and helped me with my Greek - morning breakfast on the patio set in olive and tamarask is peaceful and relaxing. Outside of the hotel property is a no do friendly pedestrian area (main coastal road with aggressive drivers) and run down or shuttered shops - kind a sad remnant of what was a vibrant area pre-pandemic. But with the cloister of the hotel walls its wonderland and relaxing

We got upgrade to 2 tween beds room as a queen size room was so small even for 1 luggage plus bed was not queen size it was double. Heavy smoking smell on 3rd floor corridors. Old furniture, old comforters, not working floor lamp, no tea cattle in the room. Room looked like 3star motel. I'm so disappointed for money I pay for 5star hotel.

Staff is friendly, happy, helpful-a 5 star staff. Lobby floor also beautiful-5 star. Dining room is outdated, a design from the 1960’s. Breakfast was ok, frequent waits for refills. Coffee at breakfast is awful. For a reasonable coffee we had to wait for the bar to open and get coffee there. Room in need of remodel: plank floors turning up at the edges, toilet seat broken and yellowed with age. Shower curtain, no glass-a 3 star feature. The room AC was excellent. On the beach the first chair I sat on was broken, and the next chair had a torn cushion. Summary- We enjoyed our stay and the wonderful staff. Some of the hotel is very out of date on style and there are a lot of shortcomings on maintenance.

Highly recommended for families and couples.
We also liked the proximity to the local coffee shops, restaurants as well as the several cool beach bars nearby.
The food options at the hotel are plentiful and we loved the drinks. Reception staff are very professional and Konstantinos treats you like family!!

We stayed there while visiting Cape Sounion and enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable room with a great bed, and the location and view is hard to beat. The beach is also fantastic. Our only quibble is with the towels, which were a little small and a coffee machine would be nice, but those are small issues. We’d stay there again.

Nice hotel. It was a little dated but clean. The beds were not very comfortable. We chose this hotel for our last night in Greece because of proximity to airport and the nice pool to let kids play before a very long travel day back to the US. When we got to the pool at 6:15pm, we were alerted the lifeguard was off so no one could swim. We talked to several people and eventually they let us swim at own risk, which was fine. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious.

I can't say enough great things about our stay here. The staff is very friendly; there are restaurants onsite, and the pool and sea are amazing. We got a sea view room, and the view was spectacular. We didn't want to stay down in downtown Athens in the hustle and bustle of things but wanted a more relaxing atmosphere. The beach at the resort is a private beach so there is plenty of space and chairs/umbrellas for guests. There is a pool bar where you can order drinks and lunch. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants this type of vacation. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
- I am from the US and am used to the service staff stopping by regularly to check on me, see if I want anything else, read the room, and figure out when I need my check. This isn't the case here. They pretty much leave you alone until you ask for more service. It is just something to get used to. So, if you want another drink or to order something more, you have to flag them down.
- We had the hotel arrange a ride from the airport to the resort for us. BEST DECISION EVER! The driver was super nice, and he primarily only works for 3 of the hotels out in the coastal area. So, he was available to us whenever we wanted to arrange a ride for other things. We scheduled 2 different tours with him to the Parthenon and to the Temple of Poseidon. One was 5 hours and he only charged 140 and the other was 3 hours and it was about 80. He also took us back to the airport.

It is not. That put a damper on our first day here. Otherwise the room, pool, sun beds and breakfast were a lovely way to end our time in Greece.

We chose to stay at the plaza resort hotel the last four days of our trip in Greece. Overall, it was a good experience. The best part was the beach and the convenient beach access. The breakfast was OK. Decent selection, but the eggs were cold every morning. Weirdly we were unable to leave the AC in our room on without leaving our key card (were only given 1) in a slot on the wall in our room. So the AC was only working while in the room. Luckily, after a quick phone call to the desk we were able to get an extra card and avoid this issue. The biggest turnoff was someone at the front desk tried to tell us that we wouldn’t be able to go to the Poseidon Temple in the morning as previously arranged with the hotel and that we would have to wait until the afternoon due to a strike. This sounded off and we could not find any information about a strike online. It was more like this was said because they had an arrangement with a taxi driver and getting a percentage. Be aware that most restaurants within walking distance are tourist traps. If you want to walk a few minutes further into the village, there are great authentic restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet beach getaway, you can see past some of the flaws it’s a good choice.

I cannot say worse things for this hotel - it smelled like cigarettes around the entire establishment, the bedding looks like it hasn't been replaced since the 80s, it took hours to get our food from the beachfront. Even the area around the pool is a slippery tile so it was extremely unsafe for our children and a few of them slipped. I highly encourage people to reconsider when selecting this hotel.

This is a great hotel, especially compared to the price. Its one of the few hotels in Greece that I actually agreed on the official stars (4.5). The staff is wonderful, and very service minded. The restaurant has really good food (and staff) and so does the beach restaurant which does serve a quite big menu. We had city view rooms, they are not big but it works. Clean and with friendly cleaning staff making sure you get the right amount of towels etc. The only thing I would say is that the shower solution (in a bathtub) is not really 4.5 star and somewhat dangerous for old people. It will cost the hotel very little to put a mat in every shower and a different shower solution so I would recommend them to do that. Other than that a great stay.

My husband and I spent a week at the Plaza Resort in Anavyssos. It was absolutely beautiful! The grounds are GORGEOUS: green grass and trees give way to a fantastic pool and amazing beach side! The breakfast was delicious, inclusive of fresh fruits, eggs, greek yogurt, etc. The staff was beyond polite and eager to make our stay a pleasant experience! I would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to visit again.

the front disk was amazing that was what made my stay better , restaurant on the sea it took over 1 hour to take my order and they really have an ice burg lutes salad on the there menu at about 15 USD nothing else and only one guy was doing the service and one assistant for more than 10 tables he was very over whelmed, breakfast was great but workers was not friendly , view from the room and set up was amazing .

Exceeded expectations. Gorgeous place in the world. Sea view room provided incredible mountain, water, beach, resort view. Resort was luxury, staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet each morning was so lovely sitting outside overlooking water with attentive staff refilling coffee and attending to needs.
Local area had many authentic restaurants within walking distance. Water sports company nearby to windsurf and paddle board. Will be back!

The hotel is located in a small village and has a nice pool and beach. The pool area had plenty of chaise lounges and umbrellas. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning is weak and we had to keep the drapes drawn all day to for the room to get cool. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel restaurant for dinner was great, the gentlewoman who is the restaurant captain was outstanding, she went out of her way to make us welcomed. The dinner menu was very good and everything we had was prepared expertly and with fresh quality ingredients, we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. There are alot of simple restaurants close to the hotel serving typical Greek menus and we did try one of them, the food was cheap and good, but did not compare to the hotel's restaurant, which is why we only ate one meal outside the hotel. I do wish the hotel had a gym, though. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location, great beach, stunning views from the room. The staff was a bit particular about eating a small outside-purchased sandwich on the beach, but they were just trying to avoid all guest purchasing outside food instead of their food. I understand that, but what is the likelihood of all guests doing so. Sometimes, guests just want something small and not a large expensive lunch. Some equitable adjustment should be made to this policy. Otherwise, this is a lovely hotel, and I would stay there again in a minute. Very few hotels on the Aegean have such beautiful direct beach access.

Love the beach and the small town it's located

It is a private beach which provides a very nice area to swim in the pool, go in the ocean, or lay in the sun or under a cover to relax.

I would recommend walking out of the resort to the right side which leads to very nice coffee and restaurants. I refer people to XHMA restaurant which has great food at great prices as well as the coffee shops as they serve a much better cup of coffee with a lower cost than inside the resort.

We stayed here in October, the hotel was quiet being out of season but the staff were still friendly, helpful and fully committed to providing a first class service. Although rated 5* locally, and I see from other peoples ratings this has been slated, perhaps on an international comparison scale it isn't, but compared to what else you might get locally, it certainly is. A great place to stay and relax, we would return if we had the chance.

The carpet in the room was dirty stains all over the place. The Hotel was not very busy, however one night we were having dinner in the restaurant and there was a group having a dinner in their as well. Except for our server the other employees in the restaurant were not very eager to assist us. It was a little disappointing as a paying guest to be shoved aside for a local group. Maria at the front desk was amazing and the bell man was very helpful during our stay. The Hotel could use a good deep cleaning. The Hotels grounds were beautiful and the beach was amazing.

But -- carpets in room and hallway (on our floor) badly stained and did not fit. Curtains in room about 8\" too long, dragging on floor, and did not open. Very weak WiFi both in room and in public areas. No business center.

Like a refund from hotel.com or getvthese two nights for free as I have ten hotels u deer he point system already. I requested a room change as my first room was in second floor and facing the highway road and very noises- they moved me to a similar room in the third floor and when I explained that in a very light sleeper and would like a quieter room they could not give me another! I was assured that it's quieter at night but I had a very uncomfortable stay as it was noisy! The room itself is very dirty and carpets are all stained... the bathroom shower is faulty and does not hold as it's more a handheld and the overall service is very aloof and I even had the concierge guiding me between rooms tell me that I'm the only one who has complained as everyone seems to be ok with these rooms!! Which was very unprofessional!

Food poisoning ruined an otherwise great stay

Executive room was lovely with a nice view over the pool and beach. Breakfast also good at Ivory restaurant. Front desk helpfully organised transfers and a trip to Cape Sounio. However, the shower fitting in the bathroom was broken and that made showering difficult. Also I got food poisoning from the Blue restaurant, so do not recommend eating there.

Staying in the hotel was very pleasant and convenient,swimming pool and beach a 3 minute walk from the rear of the hotel through the hotel gardens

Great Staff and Hotel

The staff are great. All very friendly and very helpful. The \"communal\" areas are great, the pool and facilities are all fantastic. However, my stay was let down by my room. It was certainly not one of the ones in the photos and \"city view\" means looking over a broken down awning and apartment buildings across the street. The carpets were stained and it smells old. I had a look in one of the sea-view rooms after a guest vacated it and it was fantastic. Advice - don't book a \"city-view\" room if you want luxury.

Recently remodeled wonderful hotel with own beach

Expedia moved us to the Plaza Resort Hotel when Eden Beach Resort Hotel cancelled our reservation the day before we were to arrive. We are so glad they did; we really enjoyed the Plaza. The room was large with hardwood floors, and had a great balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. It appeared that the rooms had recently been completely remodeled. The bathroom was modern and well equipped. There was a stocked mini-fridge that had plenty of room for our own wine and beer. Breakfast was served from a menu and delivered by servers, with an extensive list of offerings, including delicious fresh fruit, eggs, waffles, meats, cereals, juice, and coffee or tea. (There was an area for a buffet, so they may use that during peak summer times.) All of the staff were wonderful, and the front desk staff took extra effort to give us recommendations and even draw up maps. We would highly recommend the Plaza Resort Hotel.

THE LOCATION IS PERFECT, THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL.THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD.

ALL THE CARPETS IN THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. IT GIVES A REALLY BAD IMPRESSION UPON ARRIVAL.

Great resort hotel

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and absolutely loved it!! You are steps away from a huge pool and an amazing beach, their restaurants and bars are on point. But most of all the staff is so great!! They are all so friendly, helpful and accommodating! Despina was super patient and helpful and their manager is great also. If we are ever in Athens again, definitely staying there again!!!

Very nice hotel by the beach

We stayed at this hotel for two nights/ three days at the end of our vacation in Athens. The resort was excellent, the staff very friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. It met all our expectations and we spent the first day by the beach. The room service was excellent and restaurants and bar were great. We were a bit disappointed though on the second and last day of our stay. We were planning on checking out, spending the day by the pool, which was of course part of the deal, and headding to the airport at the end of the day. Unfortunately this was not an option since we checked out of our room at noon and the resort didnt offer us any space for changing our clothes and taking a shower at the end of the day. The lady at checkout told us we could take a shower by the pool! Since we didn't want to board our flight sandy and uncomfortable, we opted to leave early and spend the day outside the hotel. Other than this incident, I would totally recommend this hotel. Great beach, great food, great staff. There was also a greek designers' exhibition at the lobby and I was able to buy very trendy and unique pieces!

Fantastic resort, highly highly recommended!!!!

Great resort, I stayed on business but got to use pool and beach and it was fantastic. Service was great, bar staff even walked the private beach serving you. Staff of beach and pool side also assisted with umbrellas and sun beds. I also ate in the beach side resturant and the view was stunning watching the sun set over the mountains and sea. The meal was a very high standard and the cheese cake was a very creative and tasty dish!

The ambiance is great. The swimming pool is impressive and the courtyard is immaculate. The private beach is well maintained. The staff are friendly, though the service is rather laid back. For example, the TV in the room was not working and it took three days to get it fixed. The breakfast buffet is disappointing with limited choice.

We are staying here twice every year. Location is v convenient for us and there are no other decent hotels in the area. Sometimes I feel it is run by amateurs. By the touristic school 1 mile down the road.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Overall good

Swimming pool on the beach!

The Paza Resort is well situated if you want a holiday on a nice sandy beach, shallow waters, and a beautiful swimming pool. You can order drinks straight to your sun bed. Umbrellas and towels provided. Staff is welcoming and they all try their best to speak English.
If you want to do sightseeing this is not the place as you are far from the main tourists attractions and taxis in Greece are very expensive. Ask the price before taking a taxi.
The food was very tasty and well presented. Breakfast was until 10.30 with a selection of cooked breakfast and continental breakfast.
Some rooms need updating but there is a really nice view over the sea, so it is worth paying extra for the sea view. The rooms were clean.
Wifi is available free and there is a good reception even from the pool side.

Details make the difference

Service : although there was a safe box in the room I had to ask to receive the key (no extra charge, just innificient service).I also had to ask for hairdrer! The balcony was not exactly clean and the broken chair was the artistic intervention. Although we had two bedside tables there was only one table lamp so we were obliged to move the lamp from the desk.
Personnel : very polite and helpfull (reception, beach , restaurant, parking staff).
Comment : As Greek I m very demanding in terms of service and price for my country's most important industry.
Location : Anavissos area is about 50 kms from Athens center, very good for relaxing and enjoy excersions to Sounio etc.
