We’ve stayed here several times because it’s close to family. Our daughter has stayed here by herself since she’s 19 years old and they have come to know her and watch out for her. This place was wonderful for our three nights in Vari. The apartments themselves were spacious and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and the service was great.

Walking distance to beaches, shops and restaurants. Quick and cheap taxi rides to Vouliagmeni and Voula areas. Would definitely stay here again!

Staff very helpful, if your taking hotel recommended taxi, they are €15-20 more.. so better call your own taxi !! Charged me €42 , i took myself charged € 22 , if using pool we found a small snake!!! May be it’s common .. So check before using it !!

It was a total fraud I checked in and out in one hour. The room smells bad, the whole place very dark in the middle of the woods almost two miles to the nearest beach.
Very frustrated had to book another hotel and quit imidiatly, no spa as advertised by you, not next to beach no room service at all.

The Apollonia Hotel Apartments presented us with a rustic charm that lent to our overall impression of being in Greece. The desk attendants were super helpful and knowledgeable about everything that we had questions about. I especially enjoyed having morning coffee on the spacious balcony and getting some morning sun while enjoying the view of the nearby hills. The location was close to all of the attractions in town and some stores were conveniently located on our route to and from the hotel whenever we needed something. I did not want to leave. I highly recommend staying here.

Property was nice, 1 large living room/kitchen with 1 bed, separate bathroom and separate bedroom with 1 double and 1 single. Good facilities on-site, fitness centre and rooftop terrace, both well equipped. Rooms cleaned daily including fresh towels. Towels supplied for the beach. Friendly at reception, good directions to local amenities.

The pool was small and dirty so didn't use
Breakfast was very expensive at 10 euros a head, incredible considering breakfast was 3-4 euros a head down the road.
Lots of mosquitos but no mosquito nets supplied so got bitten badly, no nets on french doors to balcony either, curtains didn't fit all the way across.

We like this hotel because it has a small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, air conditioning, they speak English and are very nice. Beds are a little hard but normal for Greece. Wifi is good. It is in a good location close to beach and shops and close to airport. We don't do the usual tourist things as we go often to Greece and usually stay at this hotel before traveling north to Larisa and stay here before we leave to go back to the USA. I would highly recommend.

Our only issue during our stay was that the metro linking the city center, the nearest station was very far and the we had to commute twice daily from the apartment to the station which cost us 30 euros daily. The beaches are only 10 minutes away and very nice, but went for historical tour, so if you are going for beach then throw place is ideal, but not that suitable for visiting Athens.

A family run hotel. Anastasia at reception (24 hour) speaks very good English and was friendly and helpful. The kitchenette facilities in the room included a microwave, double hot plate, kettle, toaster and fridge with small freezer compartment. There is a TV, air con and a shaded balcony with table and two chairs. The bathroom was clean and the shower hot (which gets hotter the longer you use it, I guess to prevent prolonged use and wasting precious water). I messaged the hotel to request two single beds as oppose to a double the day before and received a reply confirming this. The pool area (open 8am to 11pm)is enclosed and therefore private and right next to the bar area. A mini market is 5 minutes walk away and a supermarket just a little further. Here there are also plenty of places to eat and a choice of private (€6) and free beaches. All together great value for money as about the cheapest we could find at short notice.

Check in took about 45 mins and despite specifically requesting 2 single beds we were given a room with a small double bed so had to change rooms. The staff consisted of a receptionist who seemed to be in charge of running the whole hotel alone. The building and rooms were old, tired and dated and the walls were paper thin. Beds rock hard and the bathroom door so old and warped, it stuck when opening and closing and hsd to be slammed Overall i would rate this hotel as disappointing and very poorly run, should be a 2 star not 4. It was like fawlty Towers.

With the price .. I cannot complaint .. 15 min. Walk to get a bus to Athens is fine . The apt . Is very spacious for 3 of us . Everything we need in the kitchen was provided .With the location .. we were able to see the whole place .. taking the bus to Athens goes to one direction and going back is another way so we were able to see more of Greece including their beach .

This hotel was very nice. The room was big (we were in the suite), and everything was very nicely kept. We didn't have any problems, and were even able to swim later in the evening.
Anna Maria was a fantastic front desk clerk. She went out of her way to help us.
It's a shame that they are only seasonal because we are coming back to the area next week and would have stayed there again.

Quit hotel in a nice area. Beach, restaurants and limited shopping within 10-15m walk.

This stay was chosen largely based on price and a large family group staying in one unit for the purpose of a rest between flights before travelling elsewhere in Greece.

The unit was dated but nicely finished and well maintained. The tv was large and did allow us to hook up a computer. The wifi had a decent speed. Beds were comfortable and the double bed was actually a double bed, not two singles pushed together as is an all to common cheat.

Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Staff even went above and beyond with placing a delivery order for dinner for us as we were nervous about ordering without good Greek language skills.

My one issue would be the breakfast. Especially the ‘croissants’ that should not even be called that as they are nothing like a croissant.

For the price it was very good value. Big room for the family with 3/4 beds and good balcony space. The kitchenette was fine for our needs and the only slight downside was the toilets which flushed rather weakly and, like most in Greece, don't allow flushing of paper. The pool was small/medium sized, deep everywhere (1.8m+) but quiet and very clean. Service was very good - they replaced a balcony chair on the same day of complaint, and the bar prices were reasonable. It's in a quiet part of the town, but just 7 mins walk to the main Varkiza beach resort and restaurants.

Varkiza is probably the best place on the Athenian Riviera to base yourself from a value and location point of view. We liked Vouliagmeni which was close enough to walk or reach by bus but the restaurants were more expensive. The Lake at Vouliagmeni is definitely worth a visit. The Varkiza Resort beach was beautiful white sand and clear sea with loungers, parasols and plenty of choice for refreshments, Mon-Fri a bargain with the Apollonia discount at only 3.50 Euro per person but beware you have to pay an extra 5.00 Euro each Sat-Sun. There is a good choice of restaurants with seating on the esplanade overlooking the sea. About an hour buy bus/metro to central Athens and all the tourist choices that gives you - Acropolis, shopping, restaurants and bars. It was 35 degrees on average in early July, air conditioning in Apollonia made it easy to sleep so if you can handle the heat I'd fully recommend it to anyone.

The place was very old and had a horrible odor in the lobby. The desk clerk had incense and candles burning in an attempt to get rid of the odor but that only made it worst. We ended up booking with another hotel and I lost money. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! Not even my enemy. Once in the room the odor was even worst. It smelled like your grandmother's house or a nursing home. The lock on the room door was not secured and we were scared to sleep in the place. Anyone could have just pushed the door open. The old smelly furniture needs to be replaced. The outside and around the property needed to spruced up. it was just not a safe place to stay.

One word review, Adequate.

The hotel is in an urban (but quiet) area quite far from most facilities. it is of an older construction and whilst servicable is badly in need of a renovation. Staff were friendly and accomodating though the cleaning service was cursory at best. No views from the room. Beds rather uncomfortable and the tv was on a wall where it was not possible to see it from the seating area. I doubt that i would stay there again but it isnt horrible.

This hotel was interesting to say the least. The front desk worker was very nice, yet no one works at the desk 11pm-8am. There weren't lights in the hallway and it was almost impossible to see the room numbers. The room was very large and had 4 small beds. I recommend this hotel if you are passing by and want to stay one night to use the local beautiful beaches.

Old, smelly, rundown shady looking motel style

My wife and I stayed here with our 1.5 year old. When we arrived we were given our keys and made our way up to our room ourselves. The hall way was pitch black, it was difficult finding the lights to be able to locate our room. It felt very unsafe. The building is very old and run down. It has to be the worst place my wife and I have ever stayed. Our room was stuffy, the AC was barely working and the rooms stunk of cigarettes. We called down to reception about the AC. The man said he'd see about gettting us a fan. We insisted on getting another room as a fan would not be sufficient. They got us another room with working AC but again it had the same smell of cigarettes and was just as run down as the other. It looked like a shady motel. I would never book this place again. I travel to Greece and abroad regularily and understand the value and you get what you pay for but this place was a real disappointment. It is overpriced and I know that for the same price you can find something a lot better.

If you wanted to use Wi-Fi you had to go in the very dilapidated front reservation area of the hotel and sit in the lobby. Where everyone smokes. Part of renting an apartment was the value of having a refrigerator and a kitchen area. We spent a lot of money on groceries. On day number three we discovered that the refrigerator wasn't working. As my children were throwing up and getting sick. The milk was rotten and sour and the frozen food all had mold on it but ice cream is melted cheese and the meets were all bad. All of our €250 worth of food was rotten. I was asured that it would be fixed ASAP as it was 7 o'clock in the morning. We came back into the hotel at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and nothing had been done and our room was not serviced. What an inconvenience for us to go shopping and take time out of her day to find a proper location for all the things we need in a foreign country. Their solution to the problem was to bring up another refrigerator and leave it in our room along with the broken one nobody did anything for us & left it there for the duration of the trip! We were afraid to drink the water out of the faucet as the water in the bathtub was brown! Not to mention the lovely mold growing in it!Then after three days of my daughter swimming in the very chemical pool her blonde hair green!
