The staff were all wonderful -- helpful, friendly, and efficient! This is a great location, within walking distance of many things and kitty corner from Carnegie Hall. The bathroom had a nice big tub, and the room didn't feel as tiny as other NYC hotel rooms. My only complaint is that this is an older hotel and feels very dated and worn out. My room was so \"old\" feeling that it had a bit of the \"ick\" factor. Also, when I got to my room, the windows were wide open (in March's colder weather). I was on the 6th floor, and it just felt strange. I was just there for a night so it felt tolerable, but this is not a \"luxury\" hotel, even though the building itself is very impressive!

I booked a room with a king-size bed, but when I arrived at the hotel, they didn't have one available. Instead, they gave me a room with two queen beds. When I lay down, I noticed there was blood on the sheets; I called the front desk to report it. I believe a manager came up to the room and said they would come to change the bedding, but they never did. It is a really lovely hotel—it's just a shame that I found something like that on one of the beds.

The staff were friendly, but there were a number of issues with the room - one being that the aircon/heating didn’t really work. I booked a corner room with two views and it apparently is a common problem. Eventually we were given a heater.
The hotel is really well placed for Central Park (5 min walk) and Time square 10/15 min walk. It’s near several underground stations.
The customer facing staff were lovely and helpful - rooms could do with a bit updating but we were very comfortable (ask for a kettle and you’ll get one)

The room has definitely seen better days. There were rips in the carpet, stains on the sheets, stains on the chair and the bathroom could have used a deep clean. Bathroom mirror was actually scary. All service was outstanding with the exception of the front desk.

Overall, had a good time and good price. My only peeves were that there was only one water fountain in the entire building which was broken and when I let the front desk person know they responded with \"go buy water\"... The elevators took a very long time and was always packed, to the point that we walked up 10 flights of stairs and it was faster. However, the location was amazing and the hotel was clean and service was direct.

Unfortunately I was disappointed in this hotel. When I arrived, there was hair all over my shower. I asked for another room and I was sent to a smaller room with water damage in the bathroom and a clear mold smell. I decided to go back to the old room and clean the room myself. It's clear that they don't employ enough staff to take care of the room properly or to great guests at the start of their stay. I would suggest they consider hiring more people to upkeep the hotel and perhaps fixing doors that are pulling a part due to humidity. And please bleach the mold stains in the rooms. Bleach would go a long way.

This hotel is conveniently located, and it has easy access to buses and subways. It is still a bit touristy, but it is just north of the crazy section of Times Square. The rooms are nice but a little dated, the beds are extremely comfortable with amazing linens. A/C and heat work well and are quiet. The rooms also have good sound insulation - key because I was there with hoards of young people on Spring break, and never heard a peep.

Clean rooms, EXCELLENT shower pressure. Staff was so helpful. Especially appreciate the ride to the airport. Location was amazing. Loved the location! Feels like you're in the middle of everywhere while still feeling a little removed. The only complaint is they don't have air conditioning during March. Which I'm guessing isn't a major issue, since it's usually still pretty cool in March. However we happened to stay during the one week of nice warm(ish) weather. So no major complaints.

Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. The lobby itself is beautiful and has a great ambience, and the staff were polite. The rooms were clean and the basic amenities were fine. However, the biggest issue was that the hotel did not deliver what was advertised on Expedia.

The room we received looked much older and more worn than the photos online and was definitely not in the same condition that was promised. We also specifically booked a suite with queen beds, but when we arrived we were given two double beds instead. When we brought this up, the hotel did not accommodate us and still charged the same price we originally paid, saying it wasn’t their problem since the booking was through Expedia.

Another major downside was the parking. Because the garage is connected to the hotel, it costs $52 per day. If you take your car out during the day and need to re-enter, you are charged another $52. That’s in U.S. dollars, which makes it even more expensive for international travelers once conversion rates are considered.

Overall, while the lobby and staff were nice, the room quality and the lack of flexibility with the booking made the stay not worth the price. I would not recommend staying here if you’re expecting the rooms to match the photos online.

Beware!! Search Park Central hotel Smoking fee. I do vape but outside only and not in front of my wife or kids. I only went downstairs to smoke and was shocked and blindsides by a $500 smoking fee. The manager was dismissive, kept my receipt and said would adj the destination fee only when I swore I didnt vape in the room. Our heater was too high and couldn’t seem to go lower so we slept with window open both nights and I asked if that or the curling irons could cause a false positive. She said no and no refunds. I asked for a copy of the test because how do u know a cleaning person didn’t since it wasn’t us and this seems like a scam and was told I would get an email or call in about an hour and never did. when I called. 3 hours later nothing, called again and no call back with results. Called a third time just to get my receipt and another person said they would email me one and I made them read back my email and nothing. I will file a bbb complaint next and stop cc payment and whatever else I can do. There are hundreds of claims such as this posted all over.

The property was close to subways to take you anywhere in the city that was fast and affordable. The hotel is close to Central Park and time square. The hotel offers a discount from local places which was very nice. Heaven on 7th had great slices and offered discounts. The front desk staff was not as polite as cheaper places, but the rest of the staff were amazing. The rooms were clean, but our room had a terrible air conditioner and it was very hot during winter our entire stay. Request a refrigerator if you want to store food or keep cold drinks. They only provide to those who request one.

We stayed at the hotel in early March and the thermostat was set to only allow the heater to be on and we would have preferred to run the air conditioning in the room as my husband prefers a cooler room for sleeping. The beds were a little hard for our liking as well. Otherwise, a great hotel stay and the staff were fantastic and very helpful.

If you are planning to stay in a hotel with an infant, Park Central Hotel New York is not for you, keep looking for a better option.
I contacted the Park Central Hotel New York a week before my arrival to make sure there would be a refrigerator in my room. My 2-month-old baby needs formula, and I must keep it refrigerated to prevent it from spoiling. They told me they'd provide a refrigerator in my room for an additional fee, but when I arrived, they told me all the refrigerators were already reserved. My situation was considered a medical emergency because I had no other food for my 2-month-old, but the guy they called \"the engineer\" said my best option was to buy a mini-fridge on Amazon. Man, that sounds ridiculous!

I paid for breakfast, but they didn't give me meal cards when I checked in. A tip for anyone staying at the Park Central Hotel in New York: tell them you paid for breakfast so they give you meal cards when you check in and you don't have to go back and get them, like I did.

I booked a Deluxe room and got a room with a draft coming from every window! The only heater was a fan heater under the window and it wasn't working good enough, so we slept in our jackets the first night. The carpets were dirty and stained, and the bathroom door was scratched, as if a dog had been scratching it. I can't even imagine what a regular room would have been like instead of a Deluxe! On the second day, I asked reception for an extra blanket because we were freezing cold.

I was concerned about cleanliness given all the recent reviews about filthy rooms, but the room was plenty clean if a bit run down. I had a premier king, which was quite spacious by NYC standards. The two issues I had were the water never got hot in the bathroom and there were crazy lines to go up in the elevator and someone had to let us down in the service elevator because the down elevator was packed to the max each time it came. Shout out to Mariah (MOD?) on Saturday night. She was so helpful to everyone who needed anything. Girl Boss!
