The room was spotless with a huge Queen size bed. Linen & towels changed on day 2 (2 night stay) and good size bathroom and separate basin & mirror to toilet. Toiletries available (The Lab Room).
Shower pretty old with mixer tap & small head.
Mini fridge with chargeable goods (didn't use). Qr code on key card wallet to check €
Excellent location on main road across from Mercado Central. Cold water dispenser available in lobby, with coffee & separate drinks/snack vending machine.
Was on Floor 10 (of 11), lift awfully slow and if anyone pressed whilst you were waiting it went there first! Noise from outside loud even though we were high up.
We obviously didn't go to watch TV, but poor English channels when getting ready or winding down.

The hotel has a great location , very near the old town and only a short walk to the beachfront. Our problem was the noise at night. The details of the room on your site state that the bedrooms are sound proofed, well they are not . We had a room on the 5th floor at the front of the hotel. There is noise all night long, from the traffic, from unloading overnight into the central market and rubbish collection Lorry’s , I don’t dispute the windows are double glazed but they are not sound proof. The term “ bar” and “ lounge” are also a stretch. On our first night we came back to the hotel at 21.00 and was told the bar was closed and on the second night we had a glass of wine in the hotel at 19.30 and by 20.00 the person serving drinks had gone and the lights were out, as I say great location but if you stay here do not have a room overlooking the front

More a 3 starts. Had a vintage shop in first floor so many strange people in the lobby. Card didn’t work for the room 4 times. Elevators are not synced. Need mantainance. Would stay somewhere else

Staff was very nice and check-in was quick. They let us move into our room extra early. AC was nice and cold, bathroom clean, fridge was cold, nothing was broken. Location was right in front of central market and next to Metro. Overall amazing experience. Would book here again.

It has no parking and no real amenities- a small gym and bar/cafe in the lobby, open for only a few hours an evening with plastic chairs - not used by anyone in the 7 days we were there.

Very convenient for restaurants and bars/cafes in the area.

All the staff were lovely, so polite and helpful. The room was spotless.

Location was excellent. A short walk from the coast and even closer to the main restaurants and bars, yet just about far enough to not be disturbed. Room is of an ok size given the inner city location and shower is very good.

A little noisy at night from the traffic, even on the 8th floor and would be nice if they refilled the glass water bottles they give you when they clean the room but they do refill if you request. TV is really big but doesn’t connect to the internet so you can’t use any of the streaming apps. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel that is perfect for a city break in Alicante due to its location. As well as the very nearby tourist places of interest, it is surrounded by dozens of fantastic restaurants and bars. Beaches can be walked to from the hotel but if you don't feel like walking there is a nearby taxi rank or you can ask the staff to help book for you. There are also lots of buses.

Lovely reception staff. However, our key fobs were working part time. We had to go to the reception about 4 times in 4 days, to change them, as they weren't working after a few hours. No soundproof, so, very loud noise can be heard easily from the street and the neighbours rooms. Not too many facilities in the hotel. Housekeepers are too loud in the morning next to the door of the room. No ventilation in the toilet either. Nice city thought.

The hotel's location is good, and that's all there is that is good. Also, there are plenty other hotels with good locations that are better and cheaper in Alicante. Hotel is tired, staff are unfriendly, even the shower is over the bath, like the 70's!! Needs a serious refresh.

A bad experience!

Our room had no toolet paper and was provided with a single towel and that was a hand towel. Lighting was supplied by 3 lamps and one had its bulb burned out. The next morning I had to take a cold shower because the hot water was not getting to the room and the responsible technician did not arrive until 10. There was no enclosure for the shower so the whole bathroom floor got wet after each shower.

Too many issues

First, the room smelled. As soon as I walked in, it smelled stale like it had been sealed up for 6 months. I had to open the window to air it out. The shower was awful. You needed a pole vault to get into the bathtub. Once in the shower you could barely move between the glass partition and the metal soap dish/hand bar. It was so tight you could barely lift your arms over your head. The water temperature was a nightmare. You would get it to the temperature that was comfortable and then all of a sudden it would be scolding hot, and you would jump away. It was one of those sliding handheld ones too and it didn't stay in place. Totally annoying. The water pressure was quite low, so it took forever to wash off any soap. The floor in the room was a laminate wood and was scratched and coming up in different places. No one was in the room next to me until the last night. Whoever stayed there came in around 1am and it sounded like they were walking a horse around the room. The hotel is on a busy street and on the one side, where my room was an alleyway where people would hang out at 1 & 2am drunk and the noise would echo through the alleyway off the buildings. The last night between doors slamming, the person walking the horse in the next room and the loud alleyway noise, I got maybe 2 hours sleep. The location was good, and the staff was nice so that was a plus. I would have to say based on the negative things I mentioned, I doubt I will stay there again.

The only thing i missed is a coffie/tea facilities in my room (but may be it's no so important for everyone).

The bus from the airport stops right across the road which is really useful.
Could not control the heating/air conditioning in the room, so had to have the window open all night which meant I could hear the street noise and neighbours talking until the early hours.

Fifth time we have stayed at The Lucentum.
The staff on reception, in the dining room and housekeepers have been excellent - helpful and welcoming.
The airport C6 bus drops off and picks up at the bus stop opposite the hotel which is so convenient. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is very central for shopping, museums and beach which is just 10/15 minutes walk away. Surrounded by many choices for eating out.

I had a very pleasant two-night stay at Eurostars Lucentum during a brief weekend break from Friday night to Sunday morning. Overall, the experience was positive, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Pros:
•Excellent Location: The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to access most of the city’s sightseeing highlights.
•Convenient Airport Access: I used bus C6 from the airport, which dropped me off directly opposite the hotel—a very convenient option. I also took the same bus back to the airport.
•Spacious & Well-Equipped Room: My room was quite spacious and had all the essential amenities, including a small fridge, which was a nice touch.
•High Standard of Cleanliness: The room was cleaned to a very high standard, which added to the overall comfort of my stay.
•Efficient Check-in & Helpful Staff: The check-in process was quick and hassle-free. I also had an issue with the room safe due to a dead battery, but the staff promptly fixed it the next morning.

Cons:
•Lack of a Kettle: It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make hot drinks.
•Noise Levels: The rooms are not very soundproof, and it could get quite noisy at night.
•No Bar in the Reception Area: A bar in the lobby would have been a great addition for guests looking to relax with a drink.

Hotel was central but noisy. Room was clean and comfortable but there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. The shower does not have thermostatic valve so it went from luck warm to very hot while trying to shower, would be classed as dangerous.
When we mentioned these to the reception staff in the morning they weren’t interested.

Pros:
(1) The courteous behavior of the staff.
(2) The fast and easy check-in and check-out process.

Cons: I'm generally happy with my stay (8 nights), but there are two issues that I found annoying.
(1) The windows are not double-glazed or sound-insulated, and outside noise can easily be heard inside the room. Even though my room was on the sixth floor, I was woken up several times at night by outside noises.
(2) The cleaners come every day and knock on the door. As I do not speak Spanish, it was difficult to communicate that I did not need cleaning. Even when I’m not in the room, I find it unacceptable for the cleaners to enter and clean without permission.

There was a strong cigarette smell on the 10th floor where my room was although the hotel doesn't allow smoking and has no balcony so people were careless and probably smoked in their rooms. The room was clean but the walls were a bit dirty and the bathroom door was damaged. The shower had a very low pressure as well as the tap! Otherwise very clean sheets and towels!

I booked the standard room and it was everything we needed and spotlessly clean. It doesn’t have things like coffee making, robes etc but I knew that when booked the cheapest standard room. The air conditioning was great and needed!
The location is brilliant - across the street from central market, very close to tram and walkable to all areas including port and beach. There is a lovely lobby area with free chilled water and fruit. There is not really a restaurant - but with so many choices we wouldn’t have dined there anyway as it was great to get out and about.
The airport bus stops directly in front of hotel if you needed it.
Reception staff excellent.
Would definitely stay again if in Alicante.
