The room was clean. We liked the two bathrooms. The TV didn't work and there weren't any freebies-soap, body wash. The toilet paper is awful. There was nor free tea and coffee. We were in an upgraded room.

We had a very comfortable stay. These are the positives: ample parking, quiet room (even though our room faced the road), kitchenette in room with necessary crockery and cutlery, comfortable bed, fair sized swimming pool, attentive and friendly staff, walking distance Honfleur centre, Lidle over the road, small balcony with table and two chairs, sauna and steamroom, daily emptying of bins and clean towels. Definitely recommend.

We had 3 nights, lovely hotel.
Very easy to walk into town anytime of the day.
Clean and comfortable room. Had hoped to use the pool but just didn’t get the time.
Had breakfast on our last day as we needed to leave early,
Absolutely amazing and the choices were great.

Original room had an adjoining room door. We could hear the family next door as if the door was open. We were upgraded to a kitchen style room with a great view of yhe Honfleur bridge. Pizza at the hotel was ok and filled the void. Free parking on site, breakfast not included but available. Breakfast is typical hotel breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, breads, pastries, cereal, coffee, etc.

Beautiful Hornfleur

A wonderful stay, at a wonderful apartment in a wonderfully pretty and interesting town. We booked this as a halfway stop between Nantes and Calais on our journey back to Dover and then onto Norfolk. We are going to return next year to the same apartment and spend a few more days in the very pretty town of Honfleur.

Accessible hotel in Honfleur

Checking in and out in this hotel was quite easy as the receptionists were friendly and accommodating even though communicating with us in English was challenging. We booked a room with a kitchenette and it was spacious; it had sufficient storage to hang our clothes and store our things. Also, the bed was comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great. However, the condition of the room was in dire need of improvement and maintenance .The drapes were stained and dingy, mold on the bedroom‘s ceiling, the heaters and the air conditioning were not working ( they were turned off ), towel warmer in the bathroom was broken. In addition , the hotel is located on the main street, making it an easy driving access to the old town, but, there is no pedestrian crossing from the hotel to reach the sidewalk across the street, this is quite hazardous for pedestrians. Finally, as the hotel offers laundry facilities, it is essential that it mentions that it is with a cost and it has to be arranged during front desk hours.

We had a fabulous stay at Tulip Inn. The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. We had a problem with our refrigerator and a replacement was provided immediately. We loved the pool - more often than not we were the only ones using it and the sauna was an added bonus! Honfleur was a short walk away. A perfect stay- comfortable beds and great having the option to self - cater. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to return 😊

The tulip inn needs an upgrade. The rooms are dated and small. We stayed four years ago and the furniture is the same. The staff were friendly and helpful and it is well located.

Very basic property.
Asked directions. Unhelpful front desk. No greeting at check in. Only morning coffee available was out of a hallway machine.
No ice available. Scratchy old towels. Had to cross over a highway to get into the old town.
Unless you’re looking for just a hostel upgrade- Would never stay here again.

The hotel is perfectly situated if you are using Honfleur as a stay over before sailing from Le Harve.
Easy to find although not much around for food choice in walking distance using the car to Honfleur may have been better?

Perfect location for seeing Honfleur, very easy to find with plenty of parking. Five minute walk to the old town.
We had a deluxe apartment for four people, chosen because it said \"two baths\". This meant exactly that, there were two showers but only one toilet so don't expect two complete bathrooms.

We were given a ground floor room with no air con and the only thing that opened was a French door. We upgraded to an upstairs room, only to find that it was the same. We had to prop the door open with the table to get some air on a hot night.

Good position just 10 minute walk from the harbour, quay, shops, churches, restaurants. Easy free parking, pleasant helpful reception staff. Comfortable third floor apartment with fabulous views. Handy to have a supermarket just across the road. All in all excellent value from a good quality hotel.

The hotel is difficult to find, as google maps can’t locate it! We ended up asking for directions, and finally found it. If you have that problem, it’s the street on the back (lower area) of where Google takes you. Anyhow, the hotel is nice, with a pool and garden area. It is within a short walk to the restaurant, center area. However, if you have mobility issues, it would be difficult to get the center.
There is no AC, but Honfleur is pretty cool in the evening.

We had a large room with a little kitchenette which was well equipped so it would have been easy to self cater - especially with a Lidl over the road. Only downside was the bed which was too hard for us but may not be for others. Could recommend fully

Horrible customer service. Dirty and smelly rooms. The \"new\" receptionist lied to us about free brakefast the night we checked in. The in morning we we're charged 30 Euro for the worst brakefast in France. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel very convenient for overnight stay. Giving us time to visit old town and harbour. We chose it because there was free parking and it was only ten minutes walk to town centre. Plus they allowed dogs. The icing on the cake was when we found their swimming pool, decent size, sauna and steam room. Staff very helpful.

I had a car accident at the entry to the hotel, their assistant through it all was outstanding, rooms clean and very comfortable, they even have a laundry for your use. 10 min walk out of town Centre perfect, ask there advise on dinning and take it you won’t regret it

We stayed there for a week.
Comfort room was good, traditional French with well equipped compact kitchen (in a wardrobe).
Breakfast was expensive (12 euro each) so do your own in the room.
Excellent location. Parking in town very expensive. By foot, just cross the roundabout, go past the Lidl and turn left, there is a good footpath by the water into town, and it is lit at night.
There is also free parking through town past the Naturospace park.
TV channels very limited, BBC World was the only channel in English but internet free and unlimited.

Quiet and efficient modern hotel

A good and efficient 3 star hotel with parking and a pool and sauna and steam room. It's a little bland but everything works as you'd expect. Parking is appreciated as Honfleur has narrow streets and limited public parking areas.
A brisk 10 minute walk will get you to the historic and picturesque centre. You will be impressed by the narrow streets and port sid areas all packed with bars and restaurants and interesting shops and sights.
Hotel has comfortable beds and powerful hot showers. Best of all it has a double door to cut down on corridor noise. We enjoyed 2 quiet nights here in way May.

There was only one issue; that there was no easy pathway to walk into town; it meant crossing a busy roundabout outside the hotel to get to the other side; but the reception staff did warn about this. Hotel situated .9km from Honfleur harbour. Plentiful parking so driving in and out easy. Always parking in parking stations around harbour. Hotel room equipped with cooking facilities/fridge/microwave. There are also laundry facilities however our experience with the dryers was problematic. Our room opened onto terrace with sun lounges/small table & chairs. A very comfortable room with space to move about in for a slightly longer stay.
We found reception staff very helpful.

Great view of the Pont de Normandy bridge!

We stayed Friday and Saturday night in a double room at the front of the hotel, we had a small kitchenette and a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table. There is a Lidl just across the road, so we got a bottle of wine and sat on our balcony in the early evening and enjoyed the view of the huge Pont de Normandy bridge. If you cross the road and walk past Lidl towards the river, you can walk along the rivers edge all the way into town. (about 20 minutes stroll) Honfleur is beautiful with a lot of exceptional restaurants.
We had breakfast in the hotel both mornings, bacon. scrambled eggs, fresh rolls, pastries, pancakes, juice, coffee and much more. It was continually topped up by the friendly staff.
We had booked through Expedia and had paid in advance, so when we checked out we just had the visitor tax to pay.
Great hotel, just out of town, free parking on site. there is also an outside swimming pool. A steam room and sauna - So its perfect for a couple of days away!

Nice hotel easy reach of town

The rooms are very nice,large and very well equipped with a little kitchen with fridge,microwave,kettle,coffee maker 2 hot plates and a sink.There is a plentiful supply of crockery,cutlery and glassware as well as saucepans and utensils etc.Our balcony with table and 2 chairs overlooked the garden and heated swimming pool which was very nice.Unfortunately there is no air conditioning and while we were there it was exceptionally hot even with the french doors open all night.It was beautifully clean as was the bedding,again unfortunately the bed was not comfortable for us but could suit others.Although there is free wi-fi we could not receive it in our room only in the lobby.Breakfast was continental with added scrambled egg and bacon,all in plentiful supply,some fresh fruit salad would have been an added bonus as is usual with continental breakfast at other hotels but was missing here.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again.

It is important to recognize that the office pf these types of hotels is closed after 6pm...if you expect to arrive late it is important to call in advanve to get the necessary codes to enter both the building and the unit. Yhe facilities are fine...but it was hard to find the hotel itself as the sign was not obvious if you are approaching from the south. It is about a 20 minute walk into Honfleur which is a fabulous town well worth a minimum of two days to fully enjoy. Lots of tourists...but licala too....excellent seafood!

There's no reception 24/7. Be aware.

It was an \"ok\" stay. The hotel is a little far from downtown. It's not a problem if you have a car. The helpdesk closes at 7 pm. Be aware of the time of your check-in. I arrived late at night and it was a mess to enter. The room is great, the staff is very friendly, even speaking only a few words in English.

The apartment was OK however the housekeeping is kept to the very minimum and the rooms are looking tired.
Tiny TV offering limited channels.

everything suited us perfectly. helpful staff and room tidied daily.
Very quiet hotel and only 10 minutes walk to centre.
the facilities in the room were excellent and a good standard of equipment in the kitchenette - fridge/cooker/hob/microwave/sink and all utensils.
nice little balcony looking out towards the bridge. Pretty busy road but we did not hear the traffic at all at night.
Handy for supermarket if you want to self cater - but you are spoilt for restaurants in Honfleur.
No reception staff in the evenings but we never had any issues
3 friendly girls asked us each day if we wanted sheets/towels etc changing
I really cannot fault it and would certainly go back there again.

We had a bad experience since we arrived late and our phone had gone dead. We tried to use their pay phone but the phone was defective. We waited 45 minutes until a patron of the hotel arrived and knew how to get the room keys from the safe. All was well after that.

Perfect family hotel

We based ourselves in Honfleur for a 5 day break in Normandy and this was the perfect hotel. Our 4 year-old was very comfortable on the sofa bed and we were equally so in the main bedroom. Having the little kitchenette in the room meant we had added flexibility during our stay - easy breakfasts before heading out for the day. Despite the fact that we didn't have great weather, the heated pool meant we could still swim. We walked into town for dinner every evening - ten minutes along the river.
The hotel was clean. The little laundry room was very useful.
It was the ideal hotel for our needs and we were very happy with our little holiday.

Average hotel close to Honfleur centre

Hotel had most things required during our stay, it was easy walking distance from the town centre and was reasonably quiet at night. There was ample parking during our 7 night stay, except for the first Saturday where guests were double parking. The WiFi was slow and had erratic connections.
When we entered the room on the first day we were hit by a bad (drain) smell, which was coming from the shower. After talking to reception, this was dealt with fairly quickly by putting something down the shower drain and using air freshener.
All of the flooring in the apartment was sticky underfoot and it was not possible to walk around barefoot. The table had not been cleaned and we had to buy cleaning products to wipe it over before it could be used.

Housekeeping came in everyday, so towels were changed regularly and bedding changed once.
For some reason the hand soap we had been given for the bathroom and toilet were removed after the second day and we were never given any more???

I would have liked to give this 5 stars but whilst the rooms were very clean the shower needed someone to get in it and give the walls a good clean , similarly the balcony needed the bird droppings removed.Having said that position is perfect 20 minute walk to the old harbour,there was a small kitchen and the balcony had a great view over the Pont Normandie (room 211).We did point out the shower problem to the receptionist who offered to move rooms but insisted the room was clean without viewing-needs the manager to regularly go around and check!!!

Honfleur 1st visit

Honfleur is lovely town. Hotel a short wake outside old town on the busy approach road. Beware reception & front doors locked down early and don't forget code to get back in.
We did and almost ruined our visit.

La Cloiserie Honfleur

we really enjoy our stay at La Cloiserie, the apartment is very comfortable especially the beds with nice linen. It is a gentle walk into Honfleur and easy access to Normandy sights. Parking is free and easy, we enjoyed using the swimming pool which was pleasantly warm.We stayed in Deauville last year but much prefer Honfleur and will always come back here this was our 3rd visit

Location not great but serviceable hotel

The hotel is outside the main area of town but has free parking and you can walk into town in 15 minutes. Parking is an issue in town. Mini grocery store across the street for supplies. The hotel reception closes at 7 pm and you have to get a code to come into the hotel after that. If arriving after 7 make sure to call ahead. Our room faced the street and was a little noisy because we had the windows open due to no a/c and it was hot. With windows open it was fine inside though. Our room had a kitchen, dining table in the living room area and a door between the two rooms. Our son slept in the pull out couch there. Two bathrooms - one with a shower and toilet and one with a bath. Clean linens and nice beds - our first night in France with jet lag and we slept very well. But there is no charm to this hotel - it's just a place to sleep.

Fantastic hotel with great facilities

This was a great hotel for families. Has a heated pool and sauna. Friendly staff. The room was large and seperate to the lounge room (with fold out bed) which was great for our family. There is a large supermarket across the road and everything you need to cook in the room. Worth staying a couple of nights really. Honfleur is close by.

Do not stay here.

We were looking forward to our Honfleur visit only to be extremely disappointed by this hotel. It is a long walk to town without a safe crossing. Dirty describes the hotel!
