A brief stop at the Adonis

We only stayed one night at the Adonis, so have limited experiences to report.
One slight negative is that the receptionist was so overworked, and apparently without help, that she had to shut up the reception for at least 20 minutes in a busy time, leaving new arrivals waiting outside, while she attended to other business.
On the other hand, the breakfast was very good.

Lovely quiet location. But limited check in hours - I’d have expected an email to highlight that. Otherwise, arrive after 8pm having not called ahead and you could end up sleeping in the car! No problem after calling though. Also accommodation and kitchen facilities are very basic. Don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere that didn’t provide at least a bar of soap in the bathroom!

Good location, near Honfleur. Plenty of parking available, and although I don't speak French and the member of staff on reception didn't speak much English, we managed really well! She was very friendly and we had a good stay. Nice shower, plenty of hot water and nice to have a balcony.

This accommodation is basic.
The kitchen woul be more useful with better utensils eg a sharp knife, veg peeler, chopping board.
The beds were very comfortable with ample bedding and the bathroom and toilet were fine.
The WiFi was hopeless.
There is ample parking near each apartment.
We had a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is close to Honfleur, which is a lovely coastal town. I was very unimpressed with the upkeep of the property and the pictures on Expedia do not reflect the hotel rooms.

Very basic and staff doesn’t care much

Staff was sort of friendly but didn’t seem to care much about their guests.
Our room was not in great shape. One bed of the bunk beds had missing boards making it impossible to sleep on it. The toilet was making a lot of strange noises when flushed which was somewhat annoying but my kids thought it was hilarious. The shower had no caulk and flodded the bathroom when used.
Kitchen had no soap, towels etc so if you want to use it you will need to bring your own stuff.
When I checked out I overheard the staff talking about a woman who had complained for over a day because her toilet was broken and how their service technician was not responding and they couldn’t do anything about it so I figured it would be a waste of time to point out our issues to them.

The property is in a small village about 10 miles outside of Le Havre. It is difficult to get to and from without a car. There is bus service, but they don't run all day long. It was rated as a 3-star hotel, but seemed like a 2-star property at best. Rooms are very basic - pretty much just a bed. They were clean, but one of the rooms given to someone in my party clearly smelled of smoke. I requested a room with a second bed - a sofa bed - and couldn't figure out how to open it. Also, the rooms are in two-story buildings that aren't attached to the reception area. After dark, there is no lighting. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to find my building and room. Being a city girl, that made me very uncomfortable. When I went to check out at 7 am because I had to be back in Le Havre in time for a 10 am train, I discovered that the reception desk didn't open til 8. I wasn't the only one trying to check out at that time. I ended up leaving my room key with someone who wasn't leaving until later. Again, I stress make sure that you have a car if you decide to stay there. There are few taxis and it costs a lot to go to Le Havre by cab.

Okay....for one night

Check is quick and efficient, and the staff very friendly. we dropped our bags off a went a toured the incredibly charming town of Honfluer. Upon returning very late my daughter and I ended up killing 5 or 6 spiders before we went to bed. Not sure the condition of the other apartments, but ours seemed a bit rundown. Perhaps we were just in a seldom used room.

Rooms were dirty, smelly, very dusty and the bins hadn't been emptied from the last residents. We didn't arrive till late so there wasn't time to change rooms. Only stayed for one night luckily. The breakfast was overpriced and the choice was very poor. The hotel is very expensive for what it is, basically a motel. Honfleur town was beautiful so we will defiantly be back to visit the town again but will avoid this place.

Very convenient location and great staff

We stayed for 3 nights in a double room in October and even used the pool ! ( its heated ).Room is basic but clean with a nice balcony over looking the pool and we had a small kitchen but again basic , we asked the lady on reception for some items that we needed , frying pan cups etc and she could not of been more helpfull , should of got her name as she was also helpfull with buses etc so great staff they even brought clean towels everyday!. Very convenient for bus into Honfleur , only 1 Euro for us both ! and bus stop just outside hotel .Bus to airport aswell .There is a big supermarket down the road ( 10 min walk ) so ideal for food , but not open sunday .

Had a terrible time finding the hotel.

Address on Web site would not work in GPS. I reserved two nights, came home about 10 pm on next day for my second nite stay and my room key would not open the Door!!!! No staff available, found a couple checking in and was able to use their phone to call for help. I'm an American and my stay was in France so I had no phone service and their WiFi would never connect. Pretty lousy experience overall.

A lovely place and good value for money

Our family really enjoyed the stay at the Adonis Honfleur, which had almost everything we needed for a week's holiday. The pool was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also had a play area right outside our back door so the kids were happy.
The room itself was not massive but had everything we needed. The carpet was a little grubby in places and the sofa bed/extra pillows were not the most comfortable but it was pretty good value for the price. The kitchen does not have an oven, which we missed but we managed to cook a couple of meals with the 2 hobs and microwave.
All in all a lovely place with loads to do in the local area. We'd love to go back again.

Comfortable stop off.

Comfortable, clean basic room for a night's stop over. Room perhaps a bit sparse - would benefit from a couple of lamps/bedside lamp. Some little extras like soap in the bathroom would have been nice. Also would prefer a duvet to a blanket and sheet. No cutlery in the kitchenette but they gave me some at Reception without a problem. Would stay again as it is conveniently located on route to/from Brittany and provides what's needed for a sleep. Wouldn't stay for a holiday though - would want a few more creature comforts for that.

Rooms clean and fresh, missing kettle and WiFi didn't work but apart from this everything else was spot on. Location was perfect for a stop over as part of holiday. In the country but only a few minutes from the beautiful town of Honfleur which is worth a visit.

The hotel was spacious. We booked one room for four adults. There were two bedrooms with one double bed and one bunk bed. There was also a futon in the living eoom. Free wifi was available in the rooms. However, you had to make your own bed with the provided sheets and the beds were somewhat worn out and not so comfortable. If you need a cheap hotel for a short stay, this is the place. Not top notch, but convinient.

Would not stay there again!

Check in: At 4 PM and not a minute before! We got to the hotel after a long journey with our 4 month old baby and joined a long queue of people waiting outside the (locked) hotel reception area in the biting cold and rain. Thank god we had a car so that my wife and baby could wait in there. The reception desk was managed by a lone lady and so it took about 40 minutes for my turn to check in!

Room: Not the cleanest hotel room we've been in. We had to make up our own beds and in the process had to see all the stains on the pillows and the mattress we were to sleep in! The blankets did not look like they had been washed in a long while. The sheets provided looked clean.
The heating in the lounge was not working and so we had an old electric heater in there. The rooms in general were in quite a state of disrepair and in need of updating.

Breakfast: You had to choose between two time slots - either between 8:30 AM - 9:45 AM or between 9:45 - 11 AM. Food was quite basic but acceptable.

Location: Honfleur is a few miles down the road. Fine to get to if you have a car but its probably too far to walk to especially if you have little ones in tow.

Appeared generally understaffed - which probably explains us having to queue up till 4 PM before being let in, having to make our own beds, the time slots for breakfast etc.

I would pick a different place to stay at if we were ever to visit Honfleur again!

We arrived on Friday evening. Nice welcome at reception desk. 5 minutes to wait only due to some people in front of us. Arrived in the flat, everything was nice, except the kitchen equipment and the very little heating stated in the kitchen. It was very cold in the studio. Only 1 small heating in the studio. I went back to the reception desk to ask them if they add an additional electric heating, they told me that the only thing they could do is to give me additional coats. I had two additional coats for the night, but no additional heating. It was Ok because we were only 2 but fortunately we did not have any Children with us. Regarding the kitchen equipment, no cork screw (not easy in France with our nice wine) and basic equipment for 2 persons. No towel. Except these points, nice view on the rear garden, very quiet, we have heard the neighbors upstairs the second evening but it was OK (not too noisy, it's a flat not a house!) the flat is well decorated (modern furnitures \"chocolate style\") easy free car park (winter time !) nice swimming pool design but closed during the winter. Nice stay..We bought a small electric heating at Bricomarche, a shop close to the residence (1 mile) for just 15pounds (20euros ich) for our comfort. Nice stay.

Quick Over night Stay

My husband and I decided to make a quick stop over to visit Honfleur and to do some laundry. We found this hotel to be nice and clean and located near our desired location. The bed was very uncomfortable (hard stiff mattress) but the room was very clean and set up somewhat like a dorm room. They had a great price for a quick stay.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and were very impressed with hotel. We were not supposed to get in until after 4pm but arrived at 12pm and the receptionist was very helpful in checking us in to rooms that had been already cleaned.

The room was very clean and had cooking facilities but no crockery or cutlery. You may have had to ask for these but we did not as we were only staying the one night.

The swimming pool was just outside our room which had 2 chairs and a table to sit at which was great.

I would recommend this hotel as it was very reasonable. We stayed for 5 nights at the Kyriad just down the road into Honfleur last year and the Adonis was much better value.

We got a nice room with 2 bedrooms on 2nd floor for 3 of us adults; it was clean and neat, but there is no soap or shampoo as this is more of an apartment. We made our own beds, but the kitchenette was nice for preparing breakfast and we ate on our balcony. Be warned however, it's quite a distance - 3 or 4 km - outside of Honfleur (we knew this ahead) - and the maps don't show it in the proper location. Took quite awhile to find it as the maps of the area aren't very accurate. Was still a great choice, super value, and the pool is nice.

property nice but lacking in service

The downside to this property is the location and the lack of on site staff. The property is a few miles from Honfleur - certainly not within walking distance. It is hidden behind bushes and there are no signs so it is difficult to find. Reception is only staffed from 10.00 a.m - and closes in the afternoon. Opens again 4.00-8.00 pm. This property is more like apartments than a hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful (once she was there) but this did not help us much on our late arrival when we had to find alternative accomodation. There is a swimming pool, and the whole complex looks very new, but seems underused. It was very quiet when we were there. The rooms are absolutely fine. Plenty of wardrobe space and a balcony with chairs outside. Hot water ran out when we had a shower though. There are tea and coffee making facilities (with tea bags and coffee but no milk) there is a fridge and a hot plate and sink - but no plates or knives/forks. This didnt bother us as we had no intention of cooking anything. Rooms were clean and there was little noise. This is a decent standard of accomodation for a cheap price which is recommended if you dont mind the distance from the town.

Sur 7 nuits pas de nettoyage de l'appart-hotel ,pas de changements de draps, nous avons du aller chercher de nouvelles serviettes de bains sinon pas de changements. Pas de Wi-Fi comme promis, pomme de douche cassée, lampe frigo brûlée, lampe du coin cuisine cassée et non fonctionnelle, radiateur électrique tenant grace à table de nuit etc,etc .A fuir, pas entretenu dommage le site est beau !!!!!

Le hic, je suis en situation de handicap et la porte est très difficile à ouvrir.
Mais je reviendrai quand-même.

Message pour les clients devant moi qui cherchaient à avoir un remboursement car soit disant ils ont dormi dans leur voiture... non ça ne sentait pas la mort à l'allumage du radiateur, j'ai testé, et franchement au 10/09 il y avait aucun besoin de dormir avec le chauffage... enfin bref...

Attention c est une résidence, j'ai loué 2 nuits d'hôtel mais il n était pas précisé j' ai du aller acheter shampoing, gel douche. Une seule serviette par personne. Beaucoup de points négatifs sur l'état du logement ont été mentionnés à la réception avant les prochains clients. Un seul oreiller mou et pas d' autre dans l'armoire. Sinon l'endroit est agréable, calme, clair, avec terrasse, espaces verts, piscine, place de parking devant le logement et entre Trouville et Honfleur. Gros problème d'internet.....et le tarif due petit déjeuner ne les vaut pas (aucun fruit, céréales de très bas de gamme).

Hébergement à fuire , literie sale ,tâché , toiles d'araignée, bouteille d'eau qui traîne en dessous du clic clac , meuble complètement abîmé et le pompons un cafard ( soit disant d'extérieur selon le personnel) qui cour sur l'évier.
Impossible de dormir dans le logement vue l'état de la literie . 100 euros la nuit pour dormir dans sa voiture 😡
Je ne recommande pas du tout cette établissement le fuire plutôt .

Décevant à l'arrivée la propreté laisse à désirer l'intérieur du petit frigo les clayettes sont rouillées. Nous n'avions pas de taie d'oreiller nous avons trouvé le soir deux draps par terre en guise de tête d'oreiller. La vaisselle laisse désirer il faudrait faire état des lieux serait préférable. Le reste passable. Très déçu.

Försökte ringa boendet innan ankomst, hon pratade bara franska och la på luren. Väl framme möte hon upp oss, trevlig och skrev på Google för översättning. Lite sunkigt och dåligt städat. Platta kuddar, ingen AC. Möblerna var slitna men överlag bra för endast en övernattning. Bra parkering.

Séjour décevant en raison manque de transparence

J’ai séjourné dans cet établissement pour 3 nuits et je tiens à partager mon expérience pour informer les futurs voyageurs, en particulier ceux qui ne sont pas véhiculés et qui souhaitent se déplacer à Deauville.

Lors de ma réservation, on m’avait assuré que les transports en commun étaient facilement accessibles, mais ce n’est absolument pas le cas. L’endroit est mal desservi se situe au plein milieu d’autoroute et se déplacer sans voiture devient un vrai parcours du combattant. Heureusement, une collègue véhiculée a pu m’aider, sinon cela aurait été extrêmement compliqué.

Je regrette le manque de transparence sur ce point, car j’aurais fait un choix différent si j’avais eu toutes les informations dès le départ. Je conseille vivement aux voyageurs sans voiture de bien se renseigner avant de réserver, car l’accès à Deauville peut être très contraignant.

En dehors de ce problème, l’établissement pourrait convenir à ceux qui sont autonomes en voiture, mais pour les autres, je ne le recommande pas.
Concernant internet il n’y a pas de wifi gratuit contrairement à ce qui est mentionné dans l’annonce.

Bon accueil dans l’ensemble mais la chambre était vétuste . Meubles abimés , prises qui ne sont plus fixées , salle de bain vieillissante qui donne une impression de sale. Matelas mou, télévision minuscule et j’en passe…. Nous ne reviendrons pas

Bonjours, Quand nous sommes arrivés dans l'appartement, mauvaises surprises , cafetière sale, filtre rempli de mar de café avec de la moisissure, placards dégoûtant, le ménage laisse à désirer, pas de gel dans la salle de bain comme le font tous les hôtels \" biensur j'avais emporté le mien \"J'en ai parlé à la responsable qui m'a répondu que ça pouvait arriver que les agents d'entretien oublient de faire des choses.

Au petit déjeuner, pas de sucre, la personne nous a répondue qu'elle irait en acheter plus tard, pas de jus d'orange dans la machine....
Je vous joint quelques photos.

Point positif, établissement calme mais il était presque vide.

Le club n’était pas très propre. Des sacs poubelle trainaient sur le parking ! Des sacs n’étaient pas ramassés.
Lieu vieillissant à rénover je pense!
Sinon accueil parfait, très agréable et sympathique !

Très bon séjour à Equemauville parfaitement situé pour visiter la belle ville d'Honfleur;(on y est en 5 mn )Accueil sympa et rapide;parking devant le logement;endroit tranquille ,au calme;pour le prix payé, bien satisfaite de notre logement avec tout le nécessaire et une petite terrasse pour prendre un verre dehors;dommage que les placards soient installés en hauteur,piscine pas encore en fonction(1er mai)noter un distributeur de pizzas à l'entrée de la résidence

Accueil parfait.
Nous avons réservé un T1 pour 2 enfants et un chien, seul choix possible en dernière minute.
Nous cherchions simplement un pied à terre pour le week-end. Nous avons payé 65€.
Nous étions à l'étage, avec balco.
Établissement vétuste bien que l'appartement soit très propre. Rien à dire sur la propreté par contre l'équipement présente des signes évidents de fatigue. Toutefois, nous sommes satisfaits de cette nuitée. La literie était confortable et l'endroit assez spacieux. La piscine était fermée probablement hors saison. Nous avons réservé le petit déjeuner 8,50€ par adulte. Le prix pour les enfants de moins de 6 ans est de 5,50€. Il est présenté sous forme de mini buffet: mini viennoiseries, pain brioché, confiture, jus de pomme, orange et cafés, thé.
Très bien situé à 3 min de l'Intermarché et à 10 min de Honfleur.
Notre séjour s'est bien passé, cela reste un prix correct aujourd'hui. Et très bon accueil de la part de l'équipe sur place. Mention également très bien à la propreté. Malgré l'équipement qu'il convient de changer et remettre au goût du jour, ça a le mérite d'être nettoyé.
