We loved the hotel and the location - just down the street from the esplanade - shops, beach, and great restaurants. On-site secure parking lot. Wonderful buffet breakfast. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. We also loved Trouville. Highly recommended.

In a cramped and busy tourist town, this hotel is a rare gem. It has excellent parking and is very well situated to walk into the town - just a few minutes. The room was lovely and well appointed. There are 2 breakfast options, with an express service from reception for those with small appetites or on a budget.

A gem of an hotel

The hotel is a short walk from the beach/shops/restaurants. We had a lovely room with a proper balcony with chairs and table. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful building set in a quiet area not far from the town of Deauville and Trouville. A two minute walk to the shops and restaurants. 15/20 minutes walk to the beach . No problem with the parking especially if you arrive afternoon time. We spent our first day in Trouville . There were plenty of restaurants and on the Wednesday there was a huge market. We stopped off at Robert & Denis for the best seafood lunch !
The next day we walked across the bridge to Deauville. It is so beautiful, the buildings are so unique and pretty . Plenty of designer shops .
We would definitely stay at this hotel again , we had a room at the front with a balcony. There is no air conditioning but we took our own and also borrowed one from reception. The rooms are very clean but on the small side.

Overall it is a nice hotel with great amenities (swimming pool, gym, spa). Good location and large parking (a must in this cute town). Unfortunately, because of Covid (or other excuse) the rooms were not cleaned daily in our 3 night stay and the spa was not open.

Lovely hotel

A lovely hotel very close to Trouville harbour- literally 2 minutes walk. Also very close to the bridge to Deauville. Many restaurants very close by- easy walking distance and almost flat. The hotel is lovely with good clean facilities including games room and pool ( which we didn't go into). The room was superior but was very spacious and comfortable and had a little seating balcony outside. Only qualm was the price was quite high. However the area is an expensive area and this was par for that area- and it did have free car parking. But it still felt a bit pricey- booking earlier may have saved us a few pennies but we booked quite late. But one small free bottle of water on the first day only felt a bit tight on their overheads!

nice hotel good location

This is the 5th time we have used this hotel when in Trouville as it is very comfortable and normally lives up to its reputation. Regrettably on this occasion the wifi went down on 12/9 and was still unavailable at our departure on 13/9 and although I had spoken with the staff regarding this there appeared to be little or no effort being made to progress rectifying the problem. As this is a 4 star Best Western Hotel I would expect better.

Within a very short walk of a great selection of restaurants, this hotel seems to have lots of potential.

The reception staff were helpful and knowledgeable, although the breakfast staff seemed rushed.

While it has facilities such as pool and sauna, a pool table and bar it seemed to tick the boxes of a four-star hotel on paper but the overall experience didn’t quite measure up to other four-star hotels.

The general ambiance was a bit drab and tired. There were many things that could be done to improve the sense of quality, such as recovering the pool table, replacing the wobbly balcony railings and dining chairs, and changing the rusting name sign at the entrance. It would have been nice too if the corridor lights came on when we left the room before we got halfway down the corridor, but apparently this can’t be fixed.

Being 6’3” the shower in the eaves was challenging but the bedroom was clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel situated a short walk from the river, cafes and bars. Good parking. The streets approaching hotel are narrow made narrower by many parked cars. Complicated one way system which confused the sat nav!
Overall experience of hotel very good with excellent breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay in Normandy. Deauville is more beautiful than I expected and the morning market made for a lovely stroll. The hotel was satisfactory mainly as the price was too high for the quality (Paris was 30 percent cheaper and the paris hotel experience was far superior). Shared hotel area somewhat dated and dull. Breakfast room window dirty. Ladies working in breakfast room were friendly and efficient which helped. Breakfast food was ok.

Location with Great Facilities

A good location with plenty of Parking space close to the roundabout between Beauville & Trouville. We had a spacious room which had a great tv so we could watch a few dvds. Room was bright and spotlessly tidy. Staff were helpful when needed and there is a small swimming pool & pool table. This was a perfect location and peaceful. No Complaints at all

Nice hotel - picturesque town

We stayed at Best Western Hostelliere du Vallon for two nights in June 2014. It is a neat, well furnished and relaxed hotel in the lovely seaside town of Trouville. There is free parking and the hotel is easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and the boardwalk (a pleasant walk). We also walked to the twin town of Deauville on the other side of the river - upmarket and very attractive. We had a lovely day trip along the coast to charming Honfleur and Etretat. Then only 60k to Caen to visit the Normandy beaches and memorials.

Nice relaxing few days

The hotel is very nice and calm, tucked away behind the main drag of the pier and promanade but well within walking distance of everything including the train station. It is very charming and in the style of the town and well kept grounds. We went in Septemember and it had a steady trickle of people coming in but we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves since many people seemed more interested in going on day trips. Since we were on our honeymoon we were more interested in some R&R and quality time and taking in the quaintness than driving out to the cathedrals, D-Day beaches, or Mont St Michel. We will probably come back ina few years and indulge in all of that but for our purposes it was very romantic and relaxing.

Quiet location yet still within walking distance of the town centre. Main reception both helpful and efficient. Hotel car park can become full in the early evening, so arrive early in the afternoon to guarantee a space. Bathrooms are spacious and modern. Wireless internet functional but a little slow - hotel was full!

Staff were quite surly, especially at breakfast. They reluctantly cooked more bacon and egg at 10 am but not very well, breakfast closed at 10.30. Scrambled egg was burned, bacon very poor quality to start with and served with a scowl not a smile, by all staff. The continental stuff was fine. Coffee machine did not work.

It was my second time to Deauville. This time we stayed at Hotel BEST WESTERN Hostellerie du Vallon in Trouville-Deauville side, where the fresh seafood market is just a street away. Since it is November, there were scarcely tourists and occupants in the hotel and restaurants along the waterfront. Parking is available at the hotel and it is easy to find parking spaces along the waterfront.

My wife and I first visited Trouville/Deauville in the summer of 1978 and were deeply impressed. We have been back many times since but this was the first time that we stayed so close to the centre of Trouville. This meant that, after our evening meal, we only had a short stroll back to the comfort of our hotel room. Most of our meals were good, but we had an outstanding sea food meal at 'Le Vapeur', the main course, the Raie, was just superb. Of course we also enjoyed walking on Trouville Beach and on the Boardwalk at Deauville. The Petit Dejeuner at the small cafe, Charlotte Corday, was something we both looked forward to every morning, really excellent. This will certainly not be our last visit to this beautiful and interesting part of Normandy.

Very friendly & helpful staff

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, only one of us could speak a little French, but they went along with it and tried their English. One of the receptionists was particularly good at English. We both enjoyed the hotel, breakfast was not cheap, but good comparative value. Good facilities, though we did not use the fitness and pool rooms. Located really close to shops and cafes of Trouville, though tucked away up a side street.

This is a nice hotel, clean, friendly, good breakfast room. although there is a bar it has no permanent bar staff, to get a drink one needs to ask the reception staff to serve you. Small pool. Biggest let down is the location if you want to be near the beach, which is 15 minute walk away. Deauville town is nearer than Trouville beach. Also hotel is surrounded by residential properties, at least it was quiet.

This hotel is well situated for the town centre. The staff are very pleasant. The room only had a wardrobe and drawers for clothes would have been helpful, particularly during a longer stay.
Breakfast was very good, with lots of variety. Pity there wasn't a restaurant service for other meals or light snacks.

Not much choice in Trouville at this level

Asked specifically for bath rather than shower, and as much peace and quiet as possible; very pleased on both counts, although bath too narrow for anyone who is not a stick insect. One drawback was room cleaning, which is not undertaken until breakfast has been served and cleared up, which translates into rooms being cleaned mid-afternoon. On our first day we returned after lunch to an unmade room; on second day we returned, again after lunch, to find room cleaning still in progress. After taking up with Reception twice, we reached agreement to have our room done before midday for the rest of our stay. A case of the hotel putting its needs ahead of the needs of the guests, but resolved. Spa, pool etc facilities need refurbishing, locker locks all broken for example. Probably would have used these facilities more if they had been up to scratch. All in all, probably not quite worth the money by about 10%, but not much choice in Trouville at this level.

Pricey - but worth it!

It was just the greatest surprise - we were sure our Sat Nav had led us wrong - and were so grateful we were in a Smart car as we navigated through tiny one-way back streets - but there suddenly was the hotel - wow! First impressions were really good - sort of Tudor looking - rather a sloping car park but that added to the charm. Nice large entrance - comfy looking area to relax. Lift or stairs - plenty of spaceRoom was large, big cupboards, huge bathroom and a balcony to keep the milk cold on! Plenty of sockets - great bath with plenty of hot water - and such a comfy bed. Could have done with a better range of TV channels - and a view of the sea would have been nice - but you can't have it all!! The breakfast was just amazing - with a large handbag you could have fed yourself for the whole day!! Plenty of choice of restaurants in the town - less than a 5 minute walk - and a great beach board walk. No toilets open in February - but then what a good excuse to pop in to a local for a crepe and a hot wine - to use their loo??!! We would certainly go back again - a bit pricey on the breakfast (£12.50 each) - and the local food is not cheap - but it is very good - and hey, there is a recession on!!

Had a standard room which was of similar size and layout of a Premier Inn. Clean & comfortable but if you are English here are a couple of tips.
There were no English TV channels and if you want a tea & coffee making tray or a DVD player you have to ask for them at reception. They are not automatically provided in the room.
The hotel is very convenient for all the restaurants on the Quay and the free parking is a big bonus.

We have stayed here four times now. So pleased were we we made a detour just to stay one time. On another occasion we took our grand children 16 and 17 at the time. They were in and out of the pool in the hotel all the time, played table tennis and snooker. We are around the seventies. So you can see the appeal for all ages.I would therefore recommend this hotel for any and all age groups. I must mention it has car parking for it's residents. Once there you can leave your car and walk only a short distance to restaurants and shops. Two street markets a week Wednesday and Sunday.

Charming hotel in a charming seaside town

We were particularly pleased with our rooms here - in excellent condition and order and, in our case, with small balconies overlooking the town. The hotel itself is light and attractive throughout. Two of our party were elderly but had no difficulties - though the expected en suite shower turned out to be a bath, which might have caused a problem. Buffet breakfasts were good and the breakfast room is pleasant. The one slight negative was a need to remind the reception staff on the two occasions we made requests - for a tea tray and an internet access code.
Whilst Trouville is not as picture book charming as nearby Honfleur it compares well with its UK competitors for general atmosphere and facilities. And Deauville with its sweeping beach and grand esplanade is just over the bridge. For us, the area was a pleasant surprise.

Tout était parfait excepté la chaleur excessive dans les chambres et même avec radiateurs fermés. Une climatisation est indispensable. Le matelas était un peu trop ferme. Pour la baignoire, un tapis antidérapant serait vraiment le bien venu.
À part cela Madame la Marquise, tout était très bien.

Quelques points à améliorer mais localisation supe

L'hôtel est plutôt bien placé (proche du port, de la gare et des commodités) et pratique pour les possesseurs de voiture électrique (3 places avec des bornes payantes, prix convenable avec Freshmiles). Le petit déjeuner est bien mais un peu cher pour la prestation. La piscine et le jaccuzi sont assez petits et ça resonne énormément dès que quelqu'un parle un peu fort. Des clients mal élevés ont cru qu'ils étaient seuls et parlaient extrêmement fort en squattant le jaccuzi pendant 45 min, résultat tout le monde est parti de l'espace \"bien-être\". La chambre était assez étroite à cause des plafonds mansardés du 3ème étage. La baignoire très bien mais les WC étaient en biais donc obligé de s'asseoir de côté. Le problème le plus embettant pendant ce week-end du 1er mai exceptionnement chaud, était l'absence d'une ventilation (ou d'une climatisation qui est en cours d'installation depuis presque 1 an apparemment si on regarde le panneau du permis de travaux affiché en bas de la résidence) et d'un frigo pour refroidir l'eau. La chambre n'était pas prête pour 15h il a fallu attendre 1h de plus. J'ai utilisé le service de location de vélo qui n'était pas cher du tout c'est vraiment bien mais seulement 3 vélos avaient l'air disponibles (tous à assistance électrique).

Nous avons été réveillé à 2h57 par le veilleur de nuit au téléphone car soit disant nous faisions du bruit depuis le début de la soirée ( nous sommes sortis dîner et ne sommes revenus dans la chambre que vers 23h!). Nous étions en train de dormir et nous n’entendions aucun bruit dans l’hôtel. Évidemment aucune excuse de la part de cette personne alors qu’il a reconnu qu’il n’avait pas entendu de bruit dans notre chambre quand il est monté.

Qualité du petit déjeuner, absolument pas à la hauteur d’un 4 étoiles …

Hôtel confortable et services conformes à son standing. Je recommande les soins de massages proposés par leur prestataire qui sont complets et justifient leurs tarifs. De plus, la proximité avec le centre historique de Trouville, sans prendre la voiture est appréciable. En deux mots: je recommande !

Très bon séjour au sein de cet hôtel. Seul petit bémol, la douche étant très basse, il s'avère compliqué de se doucher si l'on est grand. Mis a part ça, les espaces bar, spa, piscine sont superbes.

Les communes de Deauville et Trouville sont également très sympathiques.

Nice Hotel, a real 4 stars , in center of the city, close to everything ! The stuff very welcomed.
Breakfast very diversified.
The room decorated with nice colors , calm, nice view on the garden , balcony. Big bathroom.

Le personnel est très agréable, que ce soit à l'accueil ou au petit déjeuner.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et très propres.
L'hôtel est très bien situé et au calme.
L'espace piscine/jacuzzi/sauna est également très agréable et très bien entretenu.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner est complet et très bon.
Un séjour très agréable dans cet hôtel !

L’espace bien-être est beaucoup trop petit par rapport au nombre de chambres il n’y a que six transats et deux chaises pour tout l’hôtel l’eau est très froide. Il y a un jacuzzi six personnes pour tout l’hôtel alors quand les gens il reste 3-4 fois vous passez votre tour. Le petit déjeuner est facturé 17 € mais ne vaut pas une prestation de ce de ce type c’est une arnaque. In petit dej en ville sera plus sumpa
