Good location, nothing else

Outdated facility and definitely not a spa hotel worth a visit. However, we just wanted to extend our trip in Deaville for another day so the room was alright and if you look at the location- it was close to the beach and city centre. The staff was straightforward and as mentioned, if you only need a central hotel with a ok room, this is fine.

Very spacious room for my family of four. Great location, walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The room itself was comfortable, but basic - not fancy. Loved the 2 bathrooms set up but odd that the second bath didn't have a toilet. Free parking on the street, had to pay for a weekend spot, as the town has many beach goers then.

Great location for a family vacation.it’s located 2-3 block from the Main Street, 5 minutes walk to the beach. We rented a 2br apartment, convenient for a family of 5. Rooms were outdated cosmetically but has all the convenient amenities including a kitchen . The hotel offered Limited parking spaces but it’s safe to park on street. Pool was amazing for the kids to enjoy with hot tub, steam room and sauna for adults.
We will definitely rent again.

Lower your expectations and it’s ok

Location fantastic, nice town but hotel is not 4 star. Cooked breakfast awful, decor is dated . Nice pool. Just lower your expectations before arriving. Oh and the night porter was really weird and unhelpful after our ling journey- seemed a little stoned !

Well located hotel a short walk from town

Comfortable hotel in centre of Deauville close to town centre, Arquana and racecourses. Good spa but a little overcrowded and the breakfast room is not big enough. No restaurant or bar but fridge, coffee machine and kitchenette in room

It’s not a four star, room are not clean

Not clean at all, room, beds and bathroom were dirty. In my opinion this is not a four star hotel. Expensive and not worth your money

The location was extremely convenient and the size of the apartment was great overall. The light and views were fantastic (we were at the 4th floor).
However the staff at reception during check-in was not up to par. We finally got to enter our room with one hour delay and a \"surprise\": while the kitchenette and living room were pleasant, the number and type of beds were not as described in our reservation confirmation.
Last huge disappointment: the bathrooms. OK size but so badly designed. The space was not optimized at all.

Safety issues and poor customer service

My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights. On the second day we noticed the door of our room was not locking at all. Anyone could simply walk into the room at any time.
Long story short: we spoke to 4 different people at the front desk over the next 2 days; the issue was fixed only for a few hours then it broke again, twice!!!
Two of the people we interact with were genuinely concerned and apologetic about the situation; the other 2 did not seem to care at all.
Asking for a functioning door and a follow up from the Hotel Management is not an option at La Closerie.

Excellent check-in experience, Hotel is close to Deauville shopping area, beach and walking distance to Trouville-sur Mer ( Appx 20 minutes), and exceptional location for a week-end, sea-food eating, walk and sports by the sea side.

Very pleased we booked this hotel. Friendly, modern and clean, conveniently located. I gave 'comfort of your room' a 4 rather than a 5 only because the bed (2 singles linked) had 2 single mattress savers beneath the sheet which scrunched up overnight. Should have been 1 double. However, I just removed the mattress saver on the second night. Would stay there again especially as the room had a tiny kitchen with table and chairs so you can self cater the odd meal. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

It would have been helpful if the a/c had extended into the bedroom space.

The kitchen space and equipment is limited but workable. Its a shame that the table tops and the counter tops in the kitchen/diner space are all cigarette burns - which detracts heavily from the look and feel of the facility.

It might be useful to know that on-site car-parking, which is chargeable, is not essential as plenty of public parking is available outside either side of the hotel gates.

Nice place, great location!

Very nice hotel within walking distance of the beach and casino. We stayed in a suite which had plenty of room for a family of four (2 bedrooms) and a kitchen plus living area. The town is quite cute with lots of upscale shopping.

Ok if you sleep like the dead, but interesting.

Location excellent for the town and the racecourse, which I wanted. Reception very helpful and good English. WiFi a waste of time, should probably reboot the router.
Hotel a strange mix, fabric is older but the facilites, such as bathroom and toilet are updated, my room had a self catering facility, odd but useful. Lifts good, room serviced nicely, a little balcony was welcome with the self catering.
On my second night a party of girls were having a party until 1.00am, night porter didn't get a grip, no sleep. Hotel seemed to cater for parties of student types, I noticed two parties checking in, perhaps noise is a penalty.No bar and no restaurant, but Deauville is full of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. No air conditioning would be a problem in summer, I asked for a fan, they didn't have any, the noise from outside is OK except for the gulls which don't sleep in. I'd give it another chance.Price a little high for the comfort. Breakfast available, extra charge for continental.

Overall a good hotel, but I have a few remarks

We had a pleasant stay, and the hotel staff is wonderful. But here are a few improvements they can do:
There is a strong smell of chlorine in the hotel lobby due to the proximity of the pool/Jacuzzi. I am sure that they can reduce that smell somehow.
The bedroom walls did not look very clean. There were finger prints and stains. No shower walls so the water would spray all over the bathroom and stagnate on the floor.
Room decoration is a little bit too simple, I would add a few pieces of furniture to make it warmer looking.

Comfortable hotel

We booked the apartment that came with a double bed and double sofa bed, in the past at other hotels I have found sofa beds to be uncomfortable but was impressed with how comfy my stay was here. Liked the added addition of a safe in the room too. Overall we found the room clean and had everything we needed. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi appeared in a good state too so we made a lot of use of those facilities.

Convenient for events in Deauville

La Closerie was just as described - apartment style with full kitchen. Deauville is quiet in the off season but the hotel is very close to the convetion center as well as the shopping area. Very helpful staff.

very good value for money

well situated in Deauville, good service, parking etc.
the only (minor) complaint we had that last year we had a small balcony which was perfect; this year we had no balcony and it was quite hot in the room. We were told that we should have requested a balcony when we booked, but if I remember correctly, we weren't given this option on booking. Minor complaint - otherwise strongly recommended.

Das Hotel sieht auf den Fotos besser aus als es in Wirklichkeit ist (Leider ist es in Realität kein 4 Sterne Hotel). Man hat das Gefühl, dass niemand wirklich zuständig ist für das Haus. Hier einige Beispiele: In unserem sehr engen und kleinen Zimmer liess sich im Juli die Heizung nicht ausschalten. Die Früchte am Frühstücksbuffet waren nicht frisch und das Auffüllen/Nachfüllen von diversen Sachen klappte nicht gut. Der Gym gleicht einer Besenkammer.
Hinweise zu Beanstandungen wurden zwar freundlich entgegengenommen, aber es wurde nichts verändert.
Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht.

En plus d'être charmantes, les 2 réceptionnistes sont très professionnelles et très agréables ! Idéalement situé, l'hôtel est proche de tout les lieux importants de Deauville (Plage, casino, restaurants, magasins, gare...). Les chambres familiales sont spacieuses, très confortables et très bien équipées. Belle piscine, sauna , jacuzzi et hammam très bien.

Ainsi qu’une couette dans l’armoire pour les enfants avec des traces fluo rose et pas propre
Nous avons cependant appler le monsieur qui était vraiment désolé et nous as donné tout le nécessaire afin de changer les draps
Nous avons mon mari et moi même changer les draps housse de couette et housse de coussin à notre arrivé 23h00 et aussi le monsieur nous a arrangé le câble de la télé car elle ne fonctionnait pas coter salon

Très bien sauf à l’arrivée pas de serviettes de toilette ni tapis de bain. Dans la salle de bains . Idem pour la serviette des wc . J’ai dû appeler de mon portable car le téléphone de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas . A 18 h en arrivant ! La direction y a remédié.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits dans un appartement confort à 2 adultes et 2 enfants. Et le séjour a été très sympa ! Nous avions également le petit dej compris.
L accueil a été sympathique. L appartement était propre et bien agencé.
Le petit dej tout à fait satisfaisant.
La piscine n est pas très grande mais nos enfants se sont bien amusés. Nous avons même pu profiter du jacuzzi !
Nous reviendrons avec plaisir en tout cas.

Bon séjour détente espace spa sympathique et propre, personnel souriant, poli et à l’écoute
Proche de tout, hippodrome, mer, commerces
Petit bémol sur certaines prestations, le ménage a dû être refait à notre arrivé car cheveux sur literie, le pommeau de douche ne tenait pas et les 2 lampes de chevet ne fonctionnait et le parking extérieur à 10€ jour places trop petites
Pour mériter à mon sens les 4 étoiles quelques petites améliorations

Séjour en famille
Le complexe bien être est assez exiguë et bruyant.
L' espace massage est bien agencé et les soins sont tres apaisants mais un peu onéreux.
Les petits dejeuners sont copieux gouteux ,grande diversité des produits. (Sucré/salé).
Les chambres sont correctes et bien agencées.

Les parties communes : petit déjeuner et spa sont trop petites par rapports au nombre de clients. Beaucoup de bruit, des enfants qui crient dans le spa. Nous voulions du calme et nous ne l'avobs pas eu. Nous sommes tres déçus.

Tout : sauna hamam piscine fonctionnalité de l’hôtel , sa proximité du centre de la mer et du casino. La propreté de l’hôtel .
La chambre est très bien insonorisée . Bonne literie . Très bonne douche .
