Die Zimmer waren besonders in der Nacht sehr laut. Nachts wurden LKW vor dem Hotel entladen , ab 06.00 begann der Lärm mit der Golfplatzpflege.Keine Nachtruhe möglich!!

This property is amazing, first thing first it really nice, we arrived late night and trust me it’s worth it for the eyes.
The staff on all level is awesome, super friendly and available for you, the rooms are big and have all the amenities you expect from those kind of hotels, easy parking, easy transportation to the center of Deauville and back to the hotel thanks to their shuttle that runs for a large part of the day and night, if you like golf there is a whole green as part of the hotel.
The craziest part of it is that when I booked I thought it was a 5 stars hotel but he is actually just a 4 stars but with much much better service and quality that you could get in most 5 stars hotels.
.The only inconvenience I could state would be maybe a bigger, more advanced gym but thats about it

The hotel itself is lovely with the horse and golf decor. The beds were very comfortable, but the rooms have no AC, which was an issue on these very hot days.

Housekeeping was inconsistent. When I checked in, the coffee station had dirty spoons and saucers. Over the next few days, only half of the coffee supplies were replenished, and the cups/spoons/saucers were never replaced, so I had to wash them in the bathroom. One day, when I had the DND on the door because I didn't require anything, there was an additional tag that said to come to the front desk. I went, and the receptionist looked at me like I was insane.

Overall, the receptionist and main restaurant servers were quite chilly to us. The bartenders were wonderful. We had a very subpar dinner at the restaurant one night- very expensive, but not great food at all.

The property is not really walkable to much so you are forced to taxi to the town or restaurants. Also, I had pre-paid my reservation, and my colleagues, and they still tried to double charge me when I checked out. When they processed the refund, the amount was less because of exchange rates, so I did end up paying more. We would not stay here again when we are back in the area.

Lovely hotel. It’s very nice that they have a complimentary shuttle into town and a symbiotic relationship with their sister property in town, Le Normandy. Be sure to check out live piano music there on the weekend. Beware that they don’t speak any English at this property, which I found surprising for a four star.

The hotel is in a very pretty area, surrounded by a large golf course. The pool is in front of the hotel and catches the sun all day. Our suite was excellent and the breakfast was very generous. Our main problem was when seated for dinner in the restaurant, we received no service for over 20 minutes. No member of staff offered us drinks or welcomed us. This also happened on our first evening when we wanted to eat in the bar. Again we were not offered a menu or something to drink for at least 20 minutes. Otherwise the reception staff were very helpful, and in general the hotel is very well run.

Location is OK, pool is small and not appealing, rooms are TINY and the “view to the sea” is a tiny window where you can see the sea from. Old fashion furnitures. The only renovated area is the bathroom which is great.
For that price I wouldn’t chose it again.

Hotel Barrière was magnificent. The grounds, the ocean views, the appointment of the hotel room, the level of service from the concierge - all was beyond our expectations. The included “club d’enfants” is another added bonus for families - it allowed me and my husband some much-needed alone time.

Wonderful stay, room and service!

The hotel, spa and service were all lovely, we didn’t have a chance to dine but the dining room looked amazing as well, we even played Petonc indoors and had a stroll to the Golf course... the only thing I missed (and of had time could have possibly asked for) was lotion and conditioner for toiletries. We even got an extra hour late check out which was nice for me on my birthday!

Excellent stay, thoroughly recommend the hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay. Only downside is that the walk to Deauville will take much longer than 25 minutes as it took 15 minutes to drive to Deauville.

A really great hotel. The scale and decoration in the lobby was great. Our room (we had an executive sea view room), was really great and accommodated our new baby and young daughter very comfortably. The bed was really comfortable and the bath, shower and bathroom facilities rate.

The views from the sea view were fantastic. The restaurants and beach at Deauville are amazing and its truly one of the great European sea towns.

Lovely hotel but chaotic at breakfast time as not enough staff, and on the Sunday there was a shortage of food due to deliveries we were told. Dinner on Saturday night was excellent until pudding took over an hour to come. Rooms are very nice although not air conditioned. Pool area needs some attention as it is tatty. There is a shuttle which takes and picks up whenever you wish, so this is a plus. Overall a lovely hotel which just needs a few adjustments.

I have been staying Barrier hotel for many years esp Easter time, but level of service from Golf hotel is not as good as Royal. Unfortunately Royal is closed. Every day I have to ring up housekeeping to get items as something missing every day. Also the master of English is not as good in this hotel , however the golf course is nice

Classic hotel with character!

I really enjoyed this hotel but found it a bit difficult to get in and out of to town (make no mistake it is a little out of town). The staff were a pleasure, the parking ample, room service was slow but the food was good. One thing I could say about the hotel that kind of ruined my stay was the fact that it was so terrible cold at night and there is no way to turn on the heat. A call to the front desk revealed that heat is controlled by the hotel itself and cannot be turned on! Ok fine, I slept huddled under blanket only sticking my head out to breathe occasionally!

A bit in need of an update in decor and very expensive food and beverage but staff excellent, room large and pleasant if old fashioned gorgeous view over 18th. quiet location

hotel reception was so friendly even though we arrived at 01.00. we had booked a classic room and requested a room with a view which we were given at no extra charge.
on the first night we had a prolem as the person in the next room was smoking and we could smell it through the locked adjoining door. We notified reception in the morning and they imediately moved us to another room without any fuss or delay.
The room was spotless though the woodwork could do with repainting as it was very knocked and chipped.
Overall our stay was excellent and the service great , though the bar prices were astronomical!!!

We thought the hotel was in a magnificent setting with a view that we couldn't get over. I we had stayed in a town we would not have had a very unique experience. The rooms were lovely and the help at the desk were great. They printed out map quest sheets to get us to the Beaches in Normandy and Le Mont St. Michel. Because we stayed in this lovely area we saw another part of France which we would never have seen if we hadn't stayed here. We ate ate wonderful Brasseres in Deaville and enjoyed every minute of our stay in this area.

Super hotel, Great views,surrounded by its own golf course. Large rooms,some interconnecting, Superior rooms have sea views and masses of storage space..two walk-in closets and a huge wardrobe. Friendly helpful and attentive staff, cozy bar, good restaurant...however breakfast at 25 Euros is way overpriced. No airconditioning in the room we had, not a problem in September when we stayed but not pleasant in the summer I should imagine. 5 minutes drive from the center of town.

Tired hotel past its prime for seniors

We visited the shopping and beaches in nearby Deauville, and had planned to use this hotel as our home base during our brief 1-night stay. However, the hotel was quite disappointing in quality, cleanliness, and general appearance, and while the rooms were large, the general feel was of a building well past its prime with worn and stained carpets, lingering cigarette smoke around every corner, stains in the bathtub, toilet, sinks, and floors, faded coverlets, loose electrical outlets. Outside, parking on the grass and a poorly maintained golf course populated mostly by slow-moving seniors. Avoided the hotel restaurant after seeing the condition of the rooms. No A/C, but nice large windows that can be opened (but smoking valets stationed directly underneath), pay-for-internet access. Friendly front desk, very comfortable with English and our limited French.

Le cadre et l’établissement sont agréables. Le service « Barrière » est là cependant la formation du personnel de salle est à perfectionner notamment pour le petit déjeuner. Il manque un chef de salle attentif. La machine à café à capsules est à remplacer par une machine à grain beaucoup plus simple et fiable.
Dans les améliorations les ascenseurs qui sont très petits et du coup vite un problème aux heures de pointe…
On reviendra tout de même avec plaisir.

Très bel hôtel, calme au centre d'un golf vue mer

Superbe hôtel, la chambre (executive) est très agréable, confortable, spacieuse, et au combien précieux pour moi, il y a des volets roulants permettant d’avoir une chambre absolument obscure. Pour le fun, je précise que la baignoire est très large, on pourrait y tenir à deux dans la largeur, mais elle est 2 fois moins longue, de fait, on n’y tient pas allongé, dommage.
Le hall de l’hôtel est très spacieux avec grande hauteur sous plafond, mais un peu triste, au point que la réception « derrière l’entrée » fait étriquée et pas très chaleureuse, heureusement que le personnel est très accueillant.
Le restaurant est un peu décevant, mais cela s’explique peut-être, car nous étions en fin de service. Il a fallu que je me remémore ce que j’avais commandé pour identifier que la bouillie dans mon assiette était du risotto, qui somme toute était très bon. Le poisson, trop cuit, était très très sec, posé dans une assiette sans rien, cela faisait un peu triste.
Cela reste un bon week-end.

We have lived here before but now it is getting very worn. No AC so the room gets very hot. Charges extreme overcharges, seems to be a thing of the past. Quite a few guests. Good but small gym, good pool and a good golf course. The food average, try down in the village instead.

Superbe chambre, spa propre, bien équipé et personnel accueillant,
Le restaurant, le room-service et le petit déjeuner sont excellents
Le personnel est discret, agréable et professionnel dans l’ensemble de l’hôtel.
Une petite remarque sur la consternante attitude de la cuisine qui me demande 10€ pour faire cuire le riz (que j’ai apporté) pour mon chien alors que nous avons pris une nuit supplémentaire, fait un soin, diner au restaurant, utilisé le room-service et payé 35€ / nuit pour le chien (ce qui pour ce point est normal) …. Mais 10€ pour de l’eau chaude Waouuu, affligeant, ridicule, peu commercial
Heureusement tout le séjour était parfait !

Smukt luksuriøst hotel med den vildeste udsigt. Ligger noget isoleret, så det tager 45 minutter at gå til nærmeste alternative spisesteder. Masser af muligheder for mad og drikke på hotellet, men priserne på drikkevarer er useriøst høje - 16 EUR for en fadøl. Vores forventninger var super høje på forkant, for det var nogle virkeligt dyre overnatninger/værelser vi havde booket, men hotellet levede op til dem. Fantastisk personale.

Week end passé dans cet hôtel dans la suite deluxe 73 tout simplement excellent. Accueil à la réception jusqu’au concierge parfait. Quant aux cadeaux de bienvenus ils nous ont fort étonné.
Le ménage mérite d’être un petit peu plus poussé (tâches sur la moquette et légère poussière).
Le restaurant Le Lassay offre un très bon choix de produits et de vins très bon. Le petit déjeuner est également bien garni et le service y est méticuleux.
Ayant pour habitude de séjourner au Barrière Normandy celui ci n’a rien à envier à son petit frère ! Très bon séjour nous reviendrons !!

- bon donné le premier jour pour bénéficier de deux coupes de champagne au bar de l’hôtel (information donnée à l’accueil à notre arrivée) : lorsque nous avons voulu l’utiliser, le barman nous a indiqué que le bon n’était pas valable au bar de l’hôtel mais seulement dans les bars des casinos. Nous avons donc payé nos coupes de champagne

Freundliches Personal - sehr ruhig gelegen

Sehr aufmerksamer Service - unser Parkplatz war etwas entfernt vom Haupteingang, wir wurden aber sofort gesehen und es kam jemand um uns beim Gepäck zu helfen. Rascher Check-In. Sehr ruhig gelegen.

Bon sejour .restauration un peu chère.

Chambre confortable. Bonne insonorisation. Assez spacieuse.renovee correctement sans plus .bonne literie . Cabine de douche obsolete par rapport au reste de la salle de bain.se mefier : l'eau chaude est brulante.
chambre au 1er n'ayant pas de vue sur le golf mais plutot sur la piscine.
Personnel parfait. Restaurant et petit-déjeuner non pris sur place malgré une vue splendide.

Un bel hôtel

Un hôtel de grand confort, magnifiquement situé sur les hauteurs de Deauville. La vue sur Trouville et la baie du Havre est superbe. Personnel très accueillant et efficace. Chambre sobre et moderne, très silencieuse. Aux beaux jours, les espaces extérieurs pourraient être plus exploités, notamment sur la partie restauration/bar.
Un bel endroit quoi qu’il en soit et un lieu incontournable pour amateur de golf.

Hôtel déclinant

Hôtel qui commence petit à petit à se détériorer. Chambre vieillotte, odeur de renfermer, serviette de piscine qui sentent les torchons. Le service du restaurant n’est pas à la hauteur du standing !
C’est dommage car c’est un lieu qui est magnifique.
