Comfortable and quiet

We were staying in La Suite which was part of the spa building. This turned out to be an interesting couple of rooms which bizarrely included a football table in sitting room. The loo was separate from the bathroom where the bath was a corner bath with a shower beside. It was a little dark as the colour scheme was turquoise and grey elephant wallpaper! But the bed was comfortable and we slept well. The hotel buildings and gardens are beautiful and traditional Normandy half timber style, typical of the area. Dinner nearly didn't go so well as we seemed to be invisible to the staff when we sat on the terrace. However, once we moved inside and explained our reason the service improved and the meal was good. Overall it was good stay and we enjoyed the swimming pool and sunbed area too.

I enjoyed my stay. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the day. The only thing we didn’t like was that the breakfast was so expensive and lower priced options were not available. We didn’t get to eat in the restaurant for dinner because there were no bookings available during our stay.

The hotel is very very nice and clean. Staff was attentive. Food is amazing. Bathtub with only a hand held shower and no shower curtain was a little awkward though. Love the traditional styling with whimsical decorative touches. I didn’t get a chance to use the spa as it was only a one day stay. Overall, loved it and would go back.

It was pretty and rooms were large but very inconsistent. In a party of 5 couples all booked in executive rooms, there was a massive disparity in the standard of the rooms, yet all charged at the same rate. Also, the set menu was a reasonable price ( avoid a la carte) but the wine list was outrageous. The cheapest bottle of rose was £44. It was nice but not that good. The same wine costs about 8euros elsewhere. The mark up is ridiculous.

Lovely place nice location room very comfortable with a sea view. Comfortable lounge area. Overall very clean, well worth the money. We had to leave early to get to ferry so unable to sample the breakfast. One criticism the two small beers 14 ur. Seems strange throughout France exellance prices for accommodation but expensive drinks I'm sure that if they dropped the prices on drinks like weatherspoons they would triple their sales.

This is a well appointed and well run hotel near to the sea and the delights of Honfleur. Excellent breakfast and restaurant and well stocked bar. Our room was spacious and comfortable though rather cold. There is a pleasant pool and the hotel is set in pleasant grounds.

Beautiful hotel - but rooms need improving

I stayed 3 nights with my elderly father in 2 rooms. Generally it was an extremely welcoming and friendly hotel - but disappointing to find really small and inadequate TVs in the room (screen not much bigger than a large tablet). And when my father was given a small kettle to make tea/coffee in his room (he wakes in the night and wants a drink) I was told that the kettle should be returned after the first night as this is only provided in rooms designated as 'luxury rooms'. After I made it clear that this was not acceptable it was thankfully retained in his room for 3 nights. Small points - but somewhat disappointing for what should be a very high standard hotel.

Hotel on the Normandie coast.

The main reason to stay in this hotel is the short walk to a private Normandie beach where you can climb on and venture inside WWII bunkers. The hotels SPA, indoor pool and breakfast are also wonderful.

Delightful hotel, property, spa but not for the...

...person who wants to stay \"in town\" in Honfleur. The property is magnificent, clean, with every amenity, but a 15 minute drive from Honfleur itself. A great place for a few days stay for relaxation and the spa services, but I was looking fro a place closer to Honfleur - not a good choice if you are, too. That said, when we return next year (for more than a night) we will probably stay here again!

Lovely Country Stop-Over

We made late reservations to stop here on the way from Normandy to Paris. Many of the places we had previously considered were booked, but we couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel and location. The room was large as was the bathroom and the room was well appointed. I will say that the shower/tub was a Jacuzzi type tub with no shower wall and a wand, so you have to be careful to not make a mess while showering. I don't know if the other rooms were similar. I would also say that there is a rather large step to get in and out of the shower. There is no air-conditioning, but being in Normandy, I don't know if you need it. It was very comfortable with the windows open. The grounds were lovely and there was a very nice bar and a very nice outdoor courtyard. The restaurant is small, so if you want to eat dinner there, you have to let them know in advance. We were a five minute plus so drive from Honfluer. In summary, I would say that we were very pleased and would have been so if we had stopped for a couple of days as a romantic stay.

Overall, very good, but we had booked a table for dinner for 8pm, arrived in the bar at 7.55, but did not receive a drink for at least 10 minutes, or a menu for 45 - 50 minutes, and were not taken to our table until after 9pm. This, I think, is unacceptable. If one books for 8pm, that means one wants to order at 8pm, or very soon after, and eat soon after that. Although the food was ok, not outstanding, the experience had been spoilt for us. The staff were very friendly and approachable, and the hotel is beautiful and very peacefully situated with lovely grounds.

Not what you see

The room was NOT appropriate for 3 people. The breakfast was incredibly expensive so we did not have it. We were charged for it, 3 people for 2 days 126 euro ! It was of course taken off the final bill. Read the final bill very carefully.

We expected a table for dinner but we were turned down because \"it was full already\" The reception personal spoke very limited english,too difficult ti communicate,very simple rooms with no amenities whatsoever except a very small hand soap and a small bottle of shampoo,one oh my worst experiences in the las 5 years.

Close to the seine estuary

My wife and I booked to stay here for two nights on our way back from Brittany to break the journey up and enjoy a couple of relaxing days enjoying the spa and facilities. Unfortunately, the spa was owned seperately to the hotel and we were asked to pay an extra charge per four hour 'session' to use the spa facilities which included the pool. The hotel should not be allowed to promote and advertise itself as a 'Hotel & Spa' when it clearly is not. The breakfast continental breakfast was extortionately priced..

Character and location of hotel very good but our stay was let down by overpriced food and (especially) drinks. Breakfast at Euros 21 each was not sampled. Also not sampled was the swimming pool at Euros 20 per day per couple. Service for dinner was also very slow.

A well run hotel, providing spacious and comfortable accommodation. Free parking on-site and a hotel restaurant. Located between Honfleur and Deauville, providing the opportunity for sight-seeing and also local cafés/ restaurants. Note that this is a spa hotel, so that any extra facilities (e.g. use of the swimming pool or spa facilities) involve an extra charge.

Nicely situated and high quality hotel. The swimming pool is not free for hotel guests, you have to pay to use it (€25 for a couple) as it is part of the spa. Definitely a spa focused hotel. Can't comment on food as restaurant was full on the night we were there. It was a comfortable and friendly hotel and very good overall, but if you're not interested in the spa then you may not want too long a stay.

so quiet!

Stayed at this location to use as a center to explore surrounding area of Normandy region of France and it was very quiet and relaxing. Staff was accomadating and concerned for our comfort. Didn't use spa so no comment there. Only complaint was mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. Diiningroom was a bit stiff and formal but food was good. Room was large by French standards.

Mooi hotel, met goede ligging tov het strand. Het ontbijt is zeer aan de prijs maar ook erg speciaal, met heerlijk fruit, huisgemaakte caramel beurre salé en huisgemaakte crêpes. We hadden de suite bestaande uit een slaapkamer en woonkamer (waar we onze baby te slapen legden), erg fijn.

Personnel trés accueillant et aux petits soins. Chambre spacieuse y compris la salle de bain. Bons équipements.
Seul bémol, le lit est recouvert d une couverture et couvre lit. Une couette avec housse me semble plus hygiénique et confortable.
Très proche de la plage, au calme, bel endroit.
Trés bon séjour avec un accès au spa qui est agréable ainsi que le salon avec cheminée... quant au petit-déjeuner, je le recommande !!

Parfait week-end en famille avec notre petite fille de 2 ans. Le personnel est aux petits soins et extrêmement bienveillant. Établissement très honnête, accueillant, beau et bien placé. Seul petit bémol, la chaleur dans les chambres au dessus du spa.

L'hôtel est très bien tenu, avec un staff très professionnel (parfois trop). Demander quelque chose \"en dehors du process\" a été compliqué 2 fois. Exemples : demander une tableau haute pour travailler dans le salon ou la salle de restaurant ou le bar : au début pas possible, manger en dehors des repas, au début pas possible. Rester travailler pendant le petit-déjeuner : au début pas possible. Puis en insistant, finalement tout devient possible, mais dommage qu'on nous fasse sentir que c'est beaucoup demandé (il ne me semble pas que ce soit le cas...) Pour le reste, l'intérieur du hammam est en plastique, la piscine et la décoration sont vieillissantes, la chambre sentait très fort la piscine. La vue est imprenable, magnifique, surplombant le parc qui est exceptionnel. Un calme olympien règne dans tout le domaine, très appréciable. La prise Tesla pour recharge véhicule électrique, c'est vraiment très pratique. Le petit-déjeuner est de très très bonne qualité, ainsi que le choix. Produits du coin, et/ou Bio. Viennoiseries délicieuses. Très bon café. Nous avons globalement passé un bon séjour.

une nuit de passage. Hôtel a la décoration vieillissante qui donne une ambiance très lourde. C'est pourtant très propre, avec de grandes chambres et une literie très confortable. Il ne faisait pas chaud, mais j'ai trouvé comment remonter le chauffage. La chambre n'était pas chère, mais le petit déjeuner à 23 euros est abusif
J'ai été très déçue par les soins au Spa qu'il faut rejoindre en marchant dehors sous la neige sur un chemin glissant et non salé

Op de heenreis hier 3 nachten en op de terugreis 1 nacht verbleven. Een mooi hotel. Grote tuin, indoorzwembad en wellnessvoorzieningen! Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ligt op korte afstand van Honfleur en Deauville. Twee plaatsen, die een bezoek meer dan waard zijn!

Hübsches Hotel in grosszügiger Gartenanlage

Das Hotel befindet sich in guter Lage zwischen Deauville und Honfleur.
Freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr gutes Frühstück und eine empfehlenswerte Küche im Restaurant.
Wir hatten ein stilvolles und sehr großzügiges Zimmer mit Blick zum Garten. Ein etwas größerer Schrank und ein Safe wäre sinnvoll.

Chambre vieillotte lit tres inconfortable chauffage déficient et tres bruyant. Donc on a eu tres froid . Le temps n'était pas au rdv. Et le personnel a eu du mal à nous comprendre et réagir. On a eu un radiateur électrique qu'à la fin du séjour. Armoire tres petite impossible de mettre nos affaires à la compagne et à moi. Sommes repartis plus tôt à cause grève trains et obligés de payer nuit pas passée .

Nous avons trouvé ce que nous cherchions, pour une nuit + repas au Louis XVI. Calme, situation proche de la plage, en retrait de la route. Excellent accueil d'emblée. Grande chambre, literie confortable, grand lit. Grande salle de bains où rien ne manque (peignoirs appréciés). La chambre elle-même mériterait quelques aménagements complémentaires: isolation de la porte, penderie un peu limite. Excellent repas au Louis XVI, fraîcheur des produits, cuisine saine et goûteuse. Seul reproche: la carte des vins est chère et mériterait quelques bouteilles (en rouge) dans les gammes 30-40 euros.
Petit déjeuner très copieux et varié, de première fraîcheur comportant des produits locaux de grande qualité.
Nous n'avons pas testé le spa. Enfin, nous avons apprécié le vaste parc très bien entretenu, et le parking.

Nice setting, but service could be better

We might have been unfortunate but we had a couple of experiences with bad or lack of service. One example were that we waited in vain in the bar even though the receptionist told us the bar was still open.

If you are satisfied with using the hotel as a basis for seeing Honfleur and Deauville/Trouvillevthen the hotel is perfect.

Bon cadre mais dommage...

Accueil très professionnel, superbe équipe, idem pour le côté restauration et piano bar. personnel toujours prévenant tout en étant discret.
Site reposant avec un parc agréable et un côté piscine bien pensé.
Bémol qui gâche le plaisir des lieux, un manque visible d'entretien des murs, site vieillissant, pour exemple la terrasse bois de la piscine non entretenue , lames surélevées qui peuvent devenir dangereuses. Pas de climatisation dans les chambres ce qui oblige à ouvrir la fenêtre le soir afin de respirer la température existante étant trop élevée, du coup impossible de dormir jusqu'au environ d'une heure du matin. nous étions dans la chambre 4 qui donne sur la sortie des cuisines, un balai incessant de personnels de cuisine effectuant leurs tâches de fin de service, lavage, sortie des poubelles, discussion, depart des voitures, motos et une odeur de cuisine. pourtant le personnel ne fait pas de bruit excessif il travaille.
Idem pour l'insonorisation des salles de bains, quand un voisin prend sa douche en suivant le départ des cuisines vous continuer à regarder la superbe vue de la fenêtre...sans dormir, nous sommes venues pour nous reposer pas pour veiller comme dans la vie quotidienne. Cela gâche tout. Nous reviendrons en hivers mais pas dans la chambre 4.
Nous avions repéré sur le net un trou dans le mur sur une photo et nous l'avons retrouvé dans notre chambre entre la salle de bains et le placard...dommage encore une fois cela relève le manque d'entretien,sérieux.

Hôtel calme, confortable et près de la plage

L'espace SPA n'est pas très grand, mais le nombre de chambres est limité, du coup, on est bien dans cet espace. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, avec des produits de bonne qualité, dans un cadre calme et relaxant, on l'apprécie beaucoup. Notre chambre a vue sur le jardin, très agréable, tranquille. L'hôtel est tout près de la plage, même si on n'avait pas la vue directe sur la plage. L'hôtel est à 15 minutes de Honfleur et de Deauville, pratique pour des visites et du shopping. Le WiFi marche très bien même dans la chambre!

Hôtel bien situé, sécurisé

Hôtel bien situé à 5 min de Honfleur et à 10min de Deauville. Complexe complet avec Piscine chauffée, salle de sport, soins....
Petit déjeuner copieux avec beaucoup de choix.
Excellente WI-fi partout dans l'établissement y compris à la piscine.
Pour les soins, il faut réserver au moins 15 jours à l'avance.
Parking sécurisé
Idéal pour séjour romantique
