Everything at Lees Hotel was exemplary! The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge, withboth a tub and shower. It is located in one of my favorite areas of Kaohsiung.
The staff were also very kind and helpful.

The property is older but well maintained especially the room. Staffs are helpful and courteous. I did find it odd that the hallway carpet wasn't replaced sooner. It is wrinkled and worn thin. Not even a high cost item to replace, relatively.

This is a great hotel. This is our fourth stay there in seven years. The room is spacious, well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were professional and helpful, accommodating our requests fast and accurately! We will definitely stay there again next time when we visit Kaohsiung.

Though this is an old hotel, I extremely enjoy it's quietness and cleanliness. The bed is comfortable. The hotel made up the bed for me everyday promptly when I was out. The room is also spacious. The only downside is that the hotel is old and need renovation.

It's an older hotel....it's really nice and clean.Its also very comfortable...only problem is check out time
(on the weekend) with only two elevators and it took over 20 minutes to get to Lobby from 16th floor.

Unfortunate service experience. Check in was unfortunately slow, and in my opinion could have been properly managed if front desk staff avoid making small talks with check in guest if there is a long queue of guests waiting behind the line to check in. There was also a bad experience at the car parking basement when i was driving my car out of the hotel. The car park attendant asked to see my car parking coupon which i handed to him, however it was very unusual for him to demand to see my car registration ownership license and also my driver license to verify that i am the owner of the car!? I had explained to him that I stayed in the hotel and had registered the car to my room. After spending some time explaining, he told me it's ok and i can leave. I do not see this happening to other hotel guest driving out of the parking lot and was rather disappointed and doubtful over such action. Definitely not the best experience to be spending the weekend in this hotel.

The staff was excellent and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. Meals at the restaurants were wonderful creations of tastes and smells. The room was comfortable and quiet. Loved having 3 chairs for 2 people staying in the room.

This hotel has amazing value for money.
Unlike many TW hoyels, the room is huge with bath tub and large bath room and it is already good value for money.
Room deco and interior is out dated. Probably early 2000s or late 90s. But if you are into retro or old style deco, like myself, you will love it.

Hotel seems have a Gym and a Pool but seems like been close for years and possibly that is why you can not see the picture of it from Expedia page.

Rate itself has 5 stars hotel yet none of their amenities are not available (no gym, pool, spa). Hotel is dated. Wife walked into bathroom on day 1 wonder if floor was cleaned because can see visible stain. No none feather option in room despite we have allergies, was given an air purifier. Only one physical key for room door. Gave notice their hot water shut down while staying there. Asked for any sort of compensation such as discount but given nothing. States because notice given so that's that. Well I paid for a room that suppose to come with hot water, very hot in taiwan and can't shower in afternoon but you gave me a piece of paper saying no hot water so its ok? I'm not even asking for room discount, maybe at least offer a free breakfast, a souvenir for the inconvenience? Cost isn't cheap for local area pricing. Unfortunately, that's just not adequate customer service for me. I would probably consider other options nearby in future.

The hotel is not located in a busy area and the subway is about a 10 minute walking distance away. The hotel is an old one and need to have renovation and upgrade. The most attractive part of the hotel is that it has an indoor pool and we can swim in the winter time. The room is clean. The buffet breakfast is not that attractive. The staff are not that friendly.

Rooms were Smokey and dirty. it took the staff 45 minutes to find us a room that was not filled with cigarette smoke and dirty. It was an unfortunate start to our trip. Staff seemed upset that we were not willing to take the first room, saying \"it's just a little smoke\". Overall front desk staff were unaccomodating and not welcoming. All other staff were amazing, and hotel is in good location.

Service was excellent and the room was clean and had nice furnishings. The only down fall was that the bed was quite hard, but I have found that to be typical while traveling in Asia and more of a personal preference. I appreciated that there was plenty of English signage. Room service was fast and good. Pool facilities were nice, but I didn't see anywhere on the hotels.com website the disclosure about children having to be a certain height (110 cm) and the swim cap requirement. We were able to purchase swim caps at the pool which was convenient since I had chosen this hotel due to the indoor pool. It was an enjoyable stay and a short walk from the subway station.

I arrived Taipei at 5:30 am, and arrived hotel at 11:00 am. I could check in, but could not get a room until 2:20 pm. I was so tired that I almost fell asleep sitting in the coffee in the lobby area. If the hotel can arrange it more flexible, it will be prefect

Spacious room and nice breakfast. Friendly staff and convenient location. Big, clean pool and my kids had a great time splashing in the kiddo zone. However, the hallway leading to our room and the room itself smelled of cigarette smoke. 6F was being renovated during our stay and the smell of paint spilled into the cafeteria where guests had breakfast.

Beautiful Room, but Inflexible Customer Service!

Lees Hotel was our last stop of our 8-day road trip around the southern part of taiwan. Having stayed in a multitude of 4*-5* hotels along our journey, we were not at all surprised that Lees Hotel maintained the cleanliness and beauty of the hotel rooms that we had experienced. The hotel also has a spa area (Caribbean Leisure Spa), but note that a swim cap is required. It can be purchased for NT$120 at the counter.

The one area we are terribly unhappy about is the inflexible customer service when it came to breakfast. Our room accommodation was supposed to include breakfast. However, due to our long distance road trip, we arrived at Lees Hotel the previous evening around 8pm and checked in. By the time our toddler and us awoke, we had missed the buffet breakfast cut off timing by 10 mins. As in a couple of hours we were to set off to the airport for our flight, we requested for the hotel to allow us to have breakfast, and that we were happy to have anything that was not yet kept, even if it were just toast. We were flatly denied. We tried to ask for alternatives, such a takeaway cake or sandwich from the lobby cafe, but the hotel customer service were simply too inflexible to consider other options. I urge Lees Hotel to consider their breakfast hours and arrangements for their guests especially for guests who due to circumstances or timezone differences are unable to meet their 10am breakfast cut off timing.

Good hotel for our first visit to kaoshuing

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Parking may be a bit hard if we had a bigger car. Hotel facilities were nice, breakfast buffet was good and better than most hotel in this category. The room was nice except the carpet were a “wrinkled “ all all over. Everting else exceeded my expectations.

It was overall a great stay. The room and bathroom are clean and bright. The housekeeper left us chocolates on our beds after housekeeping. It was nice. On the other hand, it was my first time staying at a hotel that uses trandtional room keys instead of those electric keys. It was an interesting experience for me. The down side of staying at this hotel is that the location is a little bit far from public transportation. It requires around 10mins walk to the nearest subway station, and the pedestrian walkways in Taiwan are not that safe.

Decent hotel in quiet area.

A distance away from metro, but was not an issue for me. Room was spacious for the price, though bed was hard. Lack of local eats nearby, though Macs, KFC and Dandan burger (popular in Kaohsiung) was just down the street. Starbucks was 2 streets away (walkable in 5-8mins) with a nice local breakfast shop nearby.
Overall ok if you are looking for a short stay.

Well serviced hotel, with Pool (but strict regulations on time and such, beware. Gym equipment is aged and not overly useful). Rooms seem larger than most for their type-class. Area is quite decent, with relatively easy access to kmrt.

I was pleased and I would say it is a great hotel. They didn't seem so equipped to handle English speakers so well. A little cultural challenge working with me. I live in Taiwan and am used to that so It was okay. I wanted to use a business room to have a meeting and they would not let me and only told me to go to the business center. No one was using the meeting room they just said no. In my mind there was no logic behind it and they would not tell my why. overall it was a very nice hotel and would recommend it.

Despite it is not a very updated one, the hotel is located near the night market in walkable distance. I like their staff who showed us warm welcoming and great customer service. I have to also mention about their \"3 warmth\" relaxing sauna, steam room and cooling pool located on 7/F (Caribbean centre). It is free and I spent the morning on that floor.

鄰近文化中心附近，雖然硬體有些年份，但軟體服務毫不馬虎，特別是早餐，樣式多樣，中式、西式、日式均有，特別是別處少見的自煮蔬菜鍋及日式納豆，都留下了深刻的印象。這次是第二次入住，是值得回訪的飯店。
