Amazing family hotel with the most montessori play facilities for children I have encountered. Our family room was pitched at the right level to engage kids - we got the room with double bed inside a tent. It is an amazing experience for kids.

This time, I stayed in the presidential suite, which was very spacious. The staff were very friendly, and check-in was completed quickly. The only disadvantage is the insufficient Internet bandwidth at night; even watching YouTube on the in-room TV isn't good enough. The room had a bar with an induction cooker, but there is no cooking utensils or tableware, only a kettle. Overall, it was still a very good stay.

Elevators were too crowded and inefficient. Some parts of the room were a bit of a waste of space and little bit unclean. Didn’t have hot water for 2 days but it was ok. View was a bit lacking.

Hotel staff were always polite and friendly, assisting with requests and making you feel welcomed.
Breakfast had good variety - Western style toast and croissant or Asian style congee, noodles, steamed dim sum, braised meat and stir fried veggies etc.
Rooms are clean and well maintained. Lobby smelt fragrant.
Overall pleasant stay and would highly recommend the Themed rooms which can include foosball table, Nintendo/PS3, Mahjong table, arcade etc. depending on the room you get.

Not really a foreigner friendly hotel. The staff WAS friendly, just limited in communication. The hotel itself maybe didn't have the best construction; could hear the yelling/crying child next door all night. For the level of quality, the price doesn't match. I would have just spent the extra $30 and stayed at a brand name hotel instead.

We loved the breakfast there. We stayed there 4 days 3 nights and each morning , their food was different . The bed was comfy but I wished their blankets were a bit thicker. We loved the children’s play areas and children area in our room. Their WiFi was very poor. They did try to restart it for me but it was still very poor. I would stay there again

My room was massive, there was a sofa and a small dining area, at least double the size of my room in Taipei
It's not too far from two metro stations

I was on the 14th floor so the view was fantastic. There was a small balcony you could go out onto

The noise pollution is pretty bad, but that's been true of every hotel I've stayed in in both Korea and Taiwan, it seems the norm there is to have single pane glass. If you're a light sleeper I'd recommend earplugs or a static noise generator

Room on 13the floor smell so bad we had to open the windows but mosquitos came at night. Couldn't sleep. Even the hallway smelled musky moldy. They sprayed air freshener in the rooms n hallways, even the lobby. Moved to better room on 11th after difficult discussion with daytime manager.

Fantastic Stay with Unique Touches

The hotel is excellent! The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the pillows are fantastic. We even stayed in a room with a floor Monopoly game and oversized dice, which was a fun touch. The self-service laundry room has just one washer and one dryer, and while they are a bit small, they work well. The breakfast is also excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of hotel is good. Walkable to Formosa station and Liuhe Night Market. Convenience stores are nearby. Room is spacous with a nice bathtub. Breakfast is decent with choices. The only bad thing I would say is the limited power plug in the room. Please plan your eletronic charging or bring a extension plug if you have multiple devices to charge. Overall, it is a good hotel to stay.

1. My son fell down from the bed due to misconfigure of baby bed. The hotel staff asks us impolitely that we should see doctor before claiming the issues was due to the misconfigure of baby bed.
2. Hotel argued that we made the bedsheet broken and sought us for compensation. My son is only 1 year old. How can he make the bedsheet broken?
3. No housekeeping at night and only available after 8am.

Monopoly Room

When we booked at Hotels.com, we booked the Luxury Family Suite for 3 people. When we checked in at the hotel, we were given a Monopoly game room which is a room with a giant monopoly floor instead of any seating/sofa or luggage racks. We tried to exchange to a different room, but the front desk kept telling me this is the room I booked and refused to switch.
So be aware that when you book a luxury family suite on hotels.com, that instead of a nice suite with a seating area, this is a room with an impractical monopoly board with no seating/sofa/table or luggage storage.

The rooms in this hotel are very large and provide lots of space for young children to play. The 3rd floor has laundry and 3 play areas for children (art/free play, sand box, and ball pit). In addition there are also some rides and toy capsule machines. Due to a recent typhoon, our original room was not available so we had to be upgraded to the rooms available. We were advised that there was free breakfast included for our entire booking but the following morning, we were told only one room out of 2 would receive breakfast. We had to wait for the manager to come in the afternoon to rectify the situation. Then our entire booking party was able to enjoy breakfast together for rest of the week. One inconvenience for a family was there is no available microwave to use. The front desk said if we need to microwave to warm up food, we could bring it to them and ask for help.

The hotel is very dirty, there’s mold under the sink and on the ceiling. There’s a smell on the floor hallway and room. The bed sheet has a yellow stain that looks like pee stain. We have pictures for proof. Overall, the quality and cleanliness is very bad, we do not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not come back.

The room is big for a family of four. It took about 8 minutes to walk to the nearest metro. The road is not good for taking large luggage. There are two lifts which are not big enough to serve the guests in peak hours. The buffet breakfast is good.

While room was large it is very old and run down. Walking in, it smells like you just entered an old persons house. Noticed blackish mold looking things near the AC vent as well. Chose the hotel thinking it was near both orange and red trains but still ten or more mins from each which feels much longer in high heat or heavy rain. Area around it doesn't seem too interesting or have much either.

This hotel is for families. A huge amount of families with young children doing as children do- running around and screaming. That said the soundproofing was reasonable so once in my room - unless they were in the lift area - no noise. Service was very good except checkin and checkout where they were just focussed on wanting NT$600 per hour for a late checkout.

Walkable to Formosa Boulevard station, liuhe night market, and a few eateries. Convenience stores and bubble milk teas are a stone’s throw. Staffs are helpful and friendly. No daily housekeeping unless you request for it. Free teatime everyday - serve cake and drinks and some snacks. The housekeeper is really nice and accommodating - I asked for fresh towels and water and he gave me a plenty of them. Thanks a lot. Overall a nice stay.

Smell of smoking cigarettes

I am surprised there is no review mentioning of the immediate smell of cigarettes that hit my face as soon as I walked into the room. It’s a non smoking hotel but I am 100% certain the smell of smoking was rather fresh. The central air conditioner means the smell travel across the entire building and throughout the night I was hit by various different unpleasant smell.

The shower facilities were out of order and the bath was mouldy.

The colour of the carpet was dark so it’s impossible to tell how dirty/clean it is. I had to make sure I had my slippers on at all times. The curtains in the bed room cannot be opened as it was far too dusty.

I only had three hours of sleep as clean is the last word I will use to describe this room. I even checked out early as I couldn’t breath freely in that room (starting coughing in the morning).

Very disappointing experience as the location was really good.

There’s a noodle stall right downstairs of the hotel convenient to get a quick meal. Convenient store just right opposite the road. There’s also a massage parlour 1 min away - decent and proper job. Night market is about 10 mins walk away only food there not about shopping at all.

Room’s fridge doesn’t chill up though so you’ll have to put your stuff downstairs with reception and call them to bring it up to you when you need it. Kettle is clean. Cups were clean. Coffee and tea provided in room. Tv only has mandarin channels. There’s movie options (with English) but they’re pretty dated.

Room is very big and comfortable. Check in service was okay and quick. Breakfast has lots of options. Location is great, 2 blocks from night market, grocery shop across the street. It's about 10 minutes walk from railway station and 5 minutes walk from metro. I will stay here again.
