Room and hotel interior feels a bit outdated, but the room itself is great and very spacious. Loved the breakfast options each morning, staff were very attentive and friendly. The free welcome drink, snacks and unlimited ice cream are a huge plus! Free use of laundry machines was also appreciated after a week of travelling.

Being near Kaohsiung MRT station is convenient, but had to take the bus most of the time to get where we wanted. Overall a good stay!

My stay at Kindness Hotel was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kaohsiung.

Location (10/10): You simply cannot beat the convenience. Being directly opposite the Kaohsiung Main Station is a game-changer. It made arriving and exploring the city effortless. As an example, the journey to Zuoying MRT Station was a quick and easy 15-minute trip.😘😘😘

Amenities (Above & Beyond): The hotel offers so much more than just a room. The 24-hour self-service laundrette is perfect for travelers. The common area is a lovely social space where you can enjoy complimentary ice cream, biscuits, tea, and coffee all day. And to top it off, each room receives a voucher for a free craft beer or beverage every night—a wonderful way to unwind.😁😁😁

Overall: With its unbeatable location and generous amenities, this hotel offers incredible value. I will undoubtedly be back on my next visit!🙂🙂🙂

Its proximity to the Kaohsiung Train station, is the biggest plus point.

Although the hotel is old, it has been well maintained and is very clean. The bed is also very comfortable.

The breakfast had a good selection of items from coffee, teas, hot chocolate, soy milk, soybean pudding, croissant and breads, porridge, salad, cooked food items and fruits.

The best bonus of all is the spacious cafe style lounge area that is open for 24 hours where you can chill at for free coffee, tea, ice cream and more.

It's value for money. Definitely will return if we come back to Kaohsiung.

We have been staying at this location for years. It is very convenient to the train station, though slightly less than the equally good rear station location. The complementary laundry facilities are excellent, the lounge area with snacks is nice, and the staff are very helpful. The accommodations are not luxurious, but for basic needs they are quite acceptable.

The best hotel I've stayed at in Taiwan and the best price to quality of any hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff is friendly and courteous. The facilities are clean and the amenities are unbeatable. Free ice cream, water, and breakfast buffet. It's so very conveniently located in front of the main railway station and close by to the biggest night market in the city. I wish this hotel was available in every city and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to everybody. 5 out of 5 stars.

All is very good, courtesy of the staff in particular. Only dissatisfaction is printer is always out of pages and when asked, they would always only add 4-5 pages, even though was allowed to print up to 10 pages per day. Very unprofessional and so I stopped asking after the 3rd day. At another Kindness hotel, where I am staying now in Tainan, there is always an additional pack of papers next to the printer.

As always, the room is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff, especially the cleaning lady, are very friendly and helpful. The food provided at breakfast and night snack time is also very tasty though simple. If there is any need for improvement, it may be the need to change the menu from time to time. I have been staying in this hotel every time I visit Kaohsiung for the past few years, and eating the same kind of food at breakfast and night snack time. It would be a nice surprise if I can try one or two new dishes the next time I stay here.

Decent hotel with perks.

The hotel is central to the MRT and regular train station. I had issues with other guests allowing their children to cry non stop for 30 minutes. I reported this to the hotel management and heard nothing after.
The walls are thin and in my suite you could hear the pipes rushing with water.

Staff at front desk and lobby area seemed friendly. Staff in the dining room (breakfast and nightly snacks) were helpful as well. the breakfast and nightly snacks were both generous in portion and good value for the hotel price. The mattress was slumpy (to the point that I felt that my body was tilted to one side when lying flat) and the beddings and pillow were old. Perhaps the hotel can consider updating these items ?

Housekeeping was decent and neatly done. that was much appreciated.

However, a couple of hours before we were supposed to check out our hotel room was suddenly filled with strong cigarette smell (a neighbor in the hotel was actively smoking). We had to quickly pack up our belongings while In the smoke so we could get out of the room fast. I told the front desk lady. She apologized for this issue and right away asked other staff to go check neighbouring rooms and also asked her supervisors to take care of this issue. The prompt response was much appreciated although I think the hotel can consider enforcing strong no-smoking policy and penalties. This would probably deter people from smoking in their rooms. I think if my belongings had gotten the cigarette smell on it I would have been very upset. I was lucky that this time it happened while I was in the room and could get my things out quickly. however, packing while inhaling strong cigarette smell was no fun at all.

Good location. Near the train station and the subway station. Staff are friendly and accomodative. Allows early check in if possible.
