I recommend this hotel for its value, location and cleanliness. The room was small but very functional and the bed was super comfy. I could walk to the Areit lift. Remember this hotel is not in Zell but in Schutthof which is a few KM away but very accessible. Also it is super close to the station to get to Zell am See A few tips: The check in is next door- the Latini so if you arrive late you need to go 2 doors down. Special compliment to the staff - I left a pair of sunglasses in the common areas and Ursula and the staff were fantastic in organizing them to be sent home- a huge thank you to them. All in a all a wonderful and beautiful part of the world and a great value place to stay!

I would avoid this one like the plague. It’s more akin to a hostel connected to the hotel 2 doors down. Rude and impatient staff, atrocious check-in, but worst of all: no internet at peak times (mornings and evenings). Really, in 2024?

Pros: The room was as described, staff at the restaurant were very helpful and attentive to our request as we were the only vegetarians it seemed. They made sure we got one hot vegetarian meal. Iliya was the one who always helped.

Cons: There was no communication on check-in been dont at the other Hotek Latini and we had to move our large suitcases around.

There was no coffee maker in the room.

I was unable to enter the hotel because it was closed. Despite many attempts to gain entry, I was unsuccessful. As a result, I was forced to sleep in my car. Never make a reservation at this hotel.

This was a fairly late booking so took a chance.

The hotel was on the whole quite satisfactory but we felt that having to go through two bars and a closed restaurant to the next door hotel for meals was not very good, especially when it was partly outdoors! The breakfast was excellent from the view of choice. Dinner was a buffet every night. A good choice of dishes and plenty available although items ran out frequently and were not very quickly refilled. They need to have staff watching for this but there was nobody in the room except staff clearing tables and serving drinks.
Dangerous to use shower as there was no mat and it was very slippery for elderly folk such as us!

Nice, clean hotel with great connections to Zell am See city and Kaprun by bus. I loved the view from my window, but I must warn you about the church across the street: it is loud. 😂 The bells ring 4 times an hour, from 7AM to 9PM. So if you like to sleep late, maybe don’t stay in a room facing the church.
Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend. The breakfast is served right next door in hotel Latini, and it was delicious and lots to choose from.

Super Frühstück im Nachbarhotel, Zimmer nett.

Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass es hier zwei Hotels gibt. Check-in ist im Nachbarhotel namens Latini. Hier gibt es auch Frühstück.

Das Zimmer im Schütthof ist wirklich nett eingerichtet, die Ausstattung relativ neu, Matratzen gut.

Etwas wenig Platz, einen Koffer ausklappen konnte man nur, wenn man die Tür blockiert hat.

Ein Kühlschrank fehlte leider.

In der ersten Nacht wurden wir durch ein sehr nerviges Brummen lange wach gehalten. Wir wissen nicht, woher es kam, glauben aber an eine Lüftung aus dem Nachbarzimmer. In der zweiten Nacht war es zum Glück nicht mehr zu hören.

Highlight ist das tolle Frühstück im Nachbarhotel. Richtig lecker, superviel Auswahl, toll.

Unterm Strich kommen wir gerne wieder - die Lage hat uns gefallen.

Un hôtel désert en période Covid... mais très bon!

L'hôtel (et Zell am See) semblait assez désert dans ce contexte sanitaire particulier. La réception de l'hôtel était fermée et il fallait se rendre à l'hôtel Latini attenant (les deux hôtels communiquent sans vraiment sortir dehors). C'est un mal pour un bien car cela permet de profiter de la qualité de l'accueil et des services (petit-déjeuner) du Latini ! Chambre avec balcon et vue sur les montagnes très agréable. Parking intérieur inclus dans la chambre. Une excellente étape avant de partir vers le Grossglockner !

Ingen egen incheckning, dåligt/få platser med parkering, fläckar på mattan i rummet, för varmt, kyrkklockorna och ljudet från gatan hörs igenom skjutdörrarna. Satte på badrummets fläkt och matos började det dofta... För priset missnöjd.

Dejlig hotel med stort værelse og god parkeringskælder. Vi valgte halvpension og fik hver aften serveret en flot 3 retters meny med flere valgmuligheder. Der medfulgte til opholdet et \"sommerkort\" der gav gratis brug af lifte i området og gratis bus m.m.

Very service minded and friendly staff from the lobby to the restaurants. We had access to a fantastic spa in the hotel next door which was above our expectations. We got a summer card free of charge, valid for the cable cars in the area. Overall a great stay.

Decent but not great

Reception short if staff, check in and check out in a nearby hotel. Room not as described. Very thin doors, hence noise from the corridors becomes disturbing. Church bell ding donging very loudly. Breakfast and dinner were ok.

mangel på overblik og uden kendskab til Hotels.com

Vanskelig ind checkning da man ikke kendte noget til boking fra Hotels.com trods mail.
Morgenmaden var udemærket, dog skal man lige være opmærksom på at der er et hemmeligt system som betyder at størstedelen af bordene er forbeholdt gæster der har bestilt middag, da det ikke er markeret og der ikke var personale tilstede da vi skulle spise morgenmad,
dette betød at vi måtte rykke rundt midt i vores morgenmåltid.
Ved udtjekning blev vi afkrævet betaling trods at alt var betalt gennem APP. efter 1 time og fremsendelse af min mail fra Hotels.com (forklaringen var at den var på dansk så den skulle først oversættes) fik vi endelig lov at forlade hotellet.

Das Frühstücksei, Würstchen etc. waren beim 1. Frühstück kalt. Die Wurst viel zu dick geschnitten. Generell ist das Frühstück nicht zufriedenstellend. Das Personal wiederum ist sehr freundlich. Einen weiteren Urlaub werden wir in diesem Hotel nicht verbringen

Pas un hôtel, mais gastehaus!!!

J'ai réservé une chambre dans l'hôtel Schütterhof (4 étoiles!). En réalité l'hôtel Schütterhof n'existe pas!!!
En réalité c'est Gasthof Schütterhof (3 étoiles). Les chambres sont très, très, très petites, lesquelles ne méritent pas les 3 étoiles. La photo de l'hòtel ne correspont pas avec la réalité. Les chaises dans le jardin sont d'une autre hôtel, ce qui donne l?impression d'être un hòtel tranquille. C'est pas vrai! Il y a une rue devant l'hòtel et directement derrière aussi! Par contre, il faut que j'avoue que le petit-déjeuner est très bon. Cet hôtel est bon pour max. 2 jours.

Skitgubbe i receptionen annars kanonbra

Jag har bott på många hotell. Det här får inte underkänt i något avsseende utom vad gäller mottagande i receptionen. En totalt ointresserad gammal gubbe, nästan i min ålder, var mer intresserad av bokföring och papper än mig som gäst. Har aldrig sett på maken någon gång! Vi fick problem med wifi och parkering. När jag frågade om parkeringen sa han: \"Vänta fem minuter!\". Och där fick jag vänta ...... med råge. \"Har ni en kod till wifi?\", frågade jag. \"Det behövs inte!\", sa han. Där ljög han! På morgonen dagen därpå sa näste man i receptionen, \"Wifi på rummen fungerar perfekt. Ni behöver bara kod och lösenord för stt logga in!\". Eftersom vi checkade ut hann jag aldrig kolla! Det här hotellet verkar inte seriöst! Jag kommer aldrig att boka det någon mer gång!

Positiv überrascht waren wir vom modernen Wellnessbereich. Auf der Terasse hat man einen schönen Ausblick. Sogar in einer Sauna kann man bis zum Zeller See sehen. Vom Abendessen (italienisches Buffett) waren wir allerdings nicht sonderlich angetan. Es schmeckte leider wie aus der Kantine.

Alles super gerne wieder!!

Wir haben anlässlich unseres jährlichen Jahresabschluss einen gelungenen Aufenthalt in Zell am See verbracht. Neben dem Rahmenprogramm (Unheilig-Konzert@Ferry Porsche Congress Center) waren wir im Hotel Gasthof Schütthof untergebracht. Das Hotel hat uns anhand des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überzeugt. Die Lage ist nicht so zentral, Service & Ausstattung geben wenig Anlass für Kritik und das Frühstücksbuffet hat unsere Erwartungen, nach kurzer Nacht, erfüllt.
