Excellent Place and Excellent Hosts

The property is immaculate and it is easy to tell they made small touches to make life as good as possible for their guests. I cannot express how awesome the hosts are. Very friendly and accommodating, amazing breakfast, the cleanest place I have stayed in years. Parking is easy and the location is quiet and safe.

This small hotel is situated on a side street in a residential-looking neighborhood south of Zell am See. That takes one out of all the noise and bustle of the more touristy areas (with their restaurants, shops, and businesses—a plus and a minus if you don’t have a car), but also presents an initial challenge in finding the place, even with the assistance of good GPS. It is a lovely facility, obviously well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The manager goes out of his way to orient guests to the building and to the Zell am See area (very helpful!). If you are sensitive to noise, you should know that the hotel lies quite close to the railroad line and that trains can be heard until fairly late at night and fairly early again in the morning (noise was no issue for a comfortable night on our parts, I should add). There is no elevator in the property, so if you get a room on an upper floor, be ready to carry your luggage up the stairs. The room was fair-sized by European standards, and the breakfast (the usual breads, meats, and cereals, plus the option of eggs your way!) was served in one of the nicest breakfast rooms we have found in our travels. Best of all, all of this is gotten at a price that is $50-$75 paid at other three-starred hotels in other locations. What’s not to like about that? Would we stay there again? Absolutely, now that we know where to find it!

Welcoming family run accommodation in a beautiful

We have just returned from a wonderful few days at the Landhaus Gitti Hotel and were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation. We had a beautiful family room with a balcony, it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Gitti and Marco were so friendly - nothing was too much trouble. They ensured we had all the latest information on where the best skiing was and where we could visit. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. We really felt so welcome and were sad to leave.

The hotel was good and comfortable, we felt great sleeping in the quite area, but i really did not like the way that they get into the room when we leave so they can check if everything is okay after us. I asked them they say we have to check during the day while your are not here! But they never touch any belonging which is good. But i still disagree with thier opinion.

Excellent B&B in quiet location

We had a great time during our week's stay at Landhaus Gitti.

The room was spotlessly clean, and every little detail is thought of. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful, with tips on where to eat, where to get the best ski deals etc.

The breakfast is great, with a large selection of items catering for every taste.

Very pleasant stay

Extremely efficient running hotel with very very pleasant owners. Is a drive from Zel am See but within walking distance of the local village which has good bars and restaurant. Excellent breakfast and for bikers the owners allow you to park your bike within the garage.
Would definitely recommend this hotel especially when touring the local area and Grossglockner pass.

Great place to stay - only few minutes from the old part of Zell am See and also from the new part with shopping possibilities. Furniture was a little bit older, but all hotel was beautiful and clean. The owners of hotel were nice, helpful and they are making amazing atmosphere here. I´d like to go there again!

Garni Landhaus Gitti positioned for active people

Despite the address, Landhaus Gitti is not in Zell Am See but in Shuttdorf which is sometimes referred to as Zell Am See SUD. It is only a 3 or 4 minute drive to Zell or a brisk 40 minute walk alongside the See - a delightful promenade in good weather. This hotel sits in a residential back street but has views of the Kitzsteinerhohe and glacier. The owner managers have a reputation for friendliness and helpfulness and it is a reputation well deserved as they are all that and more. We stayed 14-nights but noticed that most of our fellow guests stayed only a single night or two so expect a rapid turnover in the summer. Having said that the hotel was mostly full. Breakfast is wholesome with the usual variety of continental breakfast fare. Parking is no problem, even if the hotel car spaces are full there is on street and 'off-road' parking within a few meters. We were unfortunate to have a room with a badly stained carpet but there are signs that some room upgrades are taking place slowly so if it worries you, ask. Other than that the hotel is clean and airy with all rooms enjoying access to the usual Tyrolean style balcony. One oddity is that there is no garden or casual seating area so if you are back for any length of time, your balcony is where you relax. If you are active, enjoy walking or are looking for a place well positioned to allow you to tour regularly, Landhaus Gitti won't let you down.

Helt fra første kontakt med Hotellet følte man sig velkommen, og det fortsatte gennem hele opholdet, utroligt flinke og behageliger mennesker, meget interesserede i at give alle deres gæster den bedste oplevelse ikke kun på hotellet men også i området.
Ved indtjekning blev det det mest vigtige om hotellet og lokalområdet gennemgået, der blev udleveret lidt materiale om området og hvordan man kunne komme rundt, vi fik anvist parkeringsområderne som ligger lige foran hotellet.
Hotellet bar præg af meget dedikerede medarbejder, pænt og rent overalt, dejlig morgenmadsbuffet hvor noget blev serveret ved bordet og andet kunne tages fra buffeten, meget opmærksomme medarbejdere der på en meget behagelig måde forklarede hvor det var godt at stå på ski netop denne dag. der var en utrolig behagelig og positiv stemning, hotellet fremstår meget velholdt og udstråler at her passer man godt på tingene, det var den ægte følelse af at her bor man ved en familie der virkelig nyder at give alle gæster den bedste oplevelse ikke bare i hotellet men i regionen.

In February 2020 we stayed at Landhaus Gitti during our 5 days long winter vacation in Schüttdorf, Zell Am See.
The host is very nice and helpfull. It is a small Hotel with a few number of rooms, which contributes to a very nice and quietly atmosphere. The breakfast was very good and was only made by the host themself. Very clean throughout the hotel.
Because of the long drive back to Denmark, we left the hotel in the middle of the night. Without asking we had a nice back with fruit, yogurt, biscuits, candy etc for us and our kids for the drive. Impressive service.
If you are going on holiday as a little family or as a couple, we can give this place our greatest recommendations.

We had a nice time in the nice little hotel in Schuttdorf, right between Kaprun and Zell am see. The breakfast was excellent, staff was helpful and there was plenty of things to do in the area and the scenery is really beautiful. My only complain is related to the public transport system, that it was hard to figure out which times busses where leaving because timetables in brochures, busstops and on the website showed different times.

Bra boende en liten bit från Zell am See. Nära till lift om man skall vandra eller åka skidor. I byn fanns ett par restauranger och mat affär, till Zell am See är det ca 2 km. Rummet var fint och värdarna var trevliga och service minded. Frukost var jätte bra och fanns mycket att välja på. Ingen kyl på rum. vi skulle gärna bo här igen.

Trevligt litet hotell i utkanten av Zell am See

Litet trevligt bed and breakfast hotell i det nya området Zell am See. Vi promenerade fram och tillbaka till den gamla delen av stan på 30-35 minuter. Promenaden var trevlig och gick intill sjön där våra 15-åringar kunde ta sig ett dopp. Vi hade bil och hotellet låg perfekt för utflykter till bland annat Kaprun. Ägarna var serviceminded och delade gärna med sig av sina tips om närområdet. Frukosten var god och allsidig. Vi stannade i två nätter och var mycket nöjda med vistelsen.

Eftersom vi hade bil var det bra att bo på Landhaus Gitti. Lugnt men ändå centralt. Vi fick all information vi kunde behöva och hjälp vid frågeställningar. Det var en ljuvlig fruktbuffe till frukost och allt annat vi kunde tänka oss. Första kvällen hade vi lite svårt att hitta ett bra ställe att äta på, men vill man ha enklare mat som pizza så finns det gott om ställen. Men vi hittade senare fina matställen. Pjäxtork/värmeställ fanns vilket kändes bra. Min upplevelse är att familjen som drev huset var väldigt mån om att få bra betyg.
