The stay was just okay.
Pros: location is excellent, amenities (if working), check-in process was easy
Cons: relatively noisy, staffs will enter room whenever they need (this is specified in agreement), amenities (if not working - in our case: safe was left in locked/open position, clothes washer failed to work, all water in unit was cold for 1 of our 2 days), early check-in did not seem to be possible and luggage storage is not adjacent to apartments and requires payment

The apartment was adequate and comfortable. We were there on a cold night and there was only one extra blanket for three beds, so two of us slept in our winter clothing, which wasn’t very comfortable. We seem to have been double charged for the room, so we will have to try to get our money back. We paid for it through the Expedia app, and then the apartment charged us the full amount for the room plus the local tax, rather than just the tax. We are hoping that we can get that money returned.

Every time I needed assistance, I had it via front check in area or through WhatsApp. The area is great. Police station is down the street and there’s small convenience stores and grocery options everywhere. All the restaurants are very close by. Malls at both ends of las Ramblas. Boat rides and weekend vintage markets. Walkable. Livable. Amazing. I never felt safer and like a local. People were kind everywhere and appreciated when you spoke to them in Spanish. I love this property and this city.

Loved having an apartment space in Spain. Having a balcony was really nice and a washing machine. Unfortunately, there was no dryer but we hang dried our clothes in the apartment and it was fine. Pro was contact-less check in and check out. Con was we were unable to do an early check in and had to drop out luggage off at another Aspasios hotel site (3 train stops away). Another con was that they would come into our apartment without notice, to either clean the apartment or work on things that needed to be fixed. I wouldn't have minded if we got a notification that they would be coming. There were also no extra pillows or blankets or towels. Just 2 pillows/bed and 2 throw pillows, 1 blanket for the bed and just enough towels for 2 people.

My family and I just spent 4 nights in the apartment. The check in experience wasn't smooth, though the service person was very polite and explained all I've asked.
The wifi was really really bad - I couldn't even complete my flight check in using my laptop. We complained about it and someone came to check but it didn't really help.
On the last night, we finally heard water droppoing in one of the bath rooms - it came from the aprtment above. It was late and we had to call the emergency line. They did answered but since it was late and water stoppped, there was nothing to do.
The location of the partment is perfect (though you hear noise from the street). but we were disappointed because of the issue with the wifi and the water

Property is well situated and in fairly good condition. We had no hot water more than once. The interior space is on level with a 4 star accommodation. They are very cheap on amenities. They literally count the towels at one per person, and request to charge you for more. They present you with a list of charges (up to 100s of euro) the expect to impose on you at leaving if you don’t wash the dishes or take out the garbage. You will receive a letter and constant text messages starting the day before asking you when you are leaving. You will get the same number of towels and coffee capsules if you stay 1 day or longer - there is no thought to refresh the room during your stay.

The property has a great location, and the staff are incredibly helpful. Their booking system was great in how informative it was. The negatives, however, may outweigh the positive. Street noise trickles in to the apartment constantly - it was very hard to sleep. The beds were not great, and neither were the sheets (only a fitted sheet provided, not a flat sheet), plus a comforter. There was construction going on within the building and outside of it. I wish I had known that prior to booking.

Great location - less than a minute to las Ramblas, although this street itself might seem a bit dodgy. There's grocers, fast food and souvenir shops right next door. The flat itself was very clean with new bathrooms and all amenities. Admin very helpful and right next door.

This is a very good apt location is very near La Rambla street and is near plenty of restaurants. Close to metro stop. The problem we had was not hot water, maintenance fixed very quickly but the following day it was cold again. The check in was very smooth as well as check out. Apartment was clean and well kept. Would stay here next time in Barcelona.

Before arrival, email communication (in English) with Marc was very easy-he answered questions quickly, booked airport taxi.

On arrival we were impressed with the cleaning and condiments welcome backs alongside the supplied tea and coffee pods also toiletries in the bathroom.

The 2 bedrooms, and lounge/dining/kitchen were very clean, sufficient equipment for all of us though we were only there one night so didn't use everything. There were plenty of towels for 2 bathrooms. I would have liked a lock on the ensuite bathroom door if I'm being picky.

There was a nice little balcony though the outlook wasn't great into lots of other backyards, but still it was a nice additional space to chill.

The lift worked great for us as we were travelling with one in an electric wheelchair (the corners are tight so fortunately she could get out to walk and push the chair to the apartment, a big scooter would be tricky) but, at least there was a lift of reasonable size. Not the fastest but doesn't matter. We were on 4th floor Apt 8.

The office (open 9am-6pm) was next door so great for bag storage as we arrived at 10.30am and check-in was at 3pm - we were able to store baggage and use their bathroom, which was useful.

The only real downside to the property is the location and that it wasn't the best of areas, lots of graffiti and seemed a bit seedy BUT not that bad. We didn't feel unsafe, there were shops (cheap and nicer ones) and it was a very short walk to La Rambla & sea front.

On the one hand, this was a perfectly satisfactory apartment. A decent size for a family of four - not massive, but also not cramped. Its location is one of its best assets but also one of its greatest flaws. Yes, you're in the center of the action, just half a block from Las Rambla, which gives you almost immediate access to a vast majority of Barcelona's sights. But that means you'll also hear every sound around you at all hours of the night. Drunk revellers all through the night every night, garbage trucks at 1 in the morning, any manner of conversation in the building or on the street - you're gonna hear it. We did not get a single night of sound sleep while we stayed here. Which is a shame, because the staff could not have been more lovely, and the property itself was very livable.

We stay in the number 12 penthouse. Large, private , quiet from any street noise. Especially nice in the cooler weather because of the big southern facing windows and outdoor terrace. Might be hot in the summer though. Good location, close to everything. We loved the El Raval neighborhood, more like a real town than just tourists, dont be afraid to venture deeper off La Ramblas. Nice shops and grocery nearby. The staff was excellent, took great care of us. Apartment was very comfortable, including the bed, but the shower was tiny. We were very happy with our pick of room number 12.

The apartment was nice and clean. The room is very small but there is a living room and an open kitchen so there is enough room to spread out and enjoy.

The location is very good just at the Ramblas but secluded enough to be quiet.

This is a service apartment and the reception opens during normal hours. I tried to talk to the reception before 9:30 am but they were opening quite late, so that is the only area I suggest for improvement.

Our two- bedroomedapartment with two bathrooms was right in the centre of all the attractions. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were also able to leave our bags for free after check-out with free use of a locker and free use of rest facilities. Would highy recommend as being great value for money.

Good side - you have a spacious balcony but not a real view to see (just neighborhood roof). The room is decently clean but you are instructed to throw off your own garbage at the bin outside.
Bad side - I found a couple of cockroaches at the apartment lobby which scares me to pass through the exit door. No elevator at the topmost apartment, so I have to drag my luggage up the stairs. The TV has been intermittently displaying picture, seems like this is not a true cable subscription. If you want a taxi, I was told you have to pay a premium. No amenities for this price.
I would say, if you're just a couple staying for a few days... opt for a decent hotel instead that provides full service. Front desk closes in the afternoon. After check-in and brief intro, you're on your own.

Other than the bathroom which was a bit small, the penthouse room was really nice, very clean with a modern look.

The doors inside the room were siding doors and the one for the bathroom didn’t lock. Other than this small issue and the fact that the cooker in the kitchen was electric, the room was delightful. The air conditioning throughout the apartment was very strong.

The balcony was probably my favourite part of the room as it was very spacious and although the views weren’t great, this feature of the room was one of the best.

The location was literally at the heart of everything. The apartment was situated at La Rambla, just off Las Ramblas. Everything we needed was just a walk away.

Finally the staff and service. Cannot fault staff, they were very friendly and helpful. On check in, I was being helped by 2 colleague goers who was being observed by the manager (I assume). I didn’t get the managers name, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. I can’t recommend this place enough. I will be going back to Barca again as it’s just awesome and I would love to stay as Aspacios again.

Pre-Cruise Family Stay

Rented two apartments for three nights. We are a family of 7 adults and 5 young children. The apartments were very small but contained all the essentials. We especially liked the Nespresso machines. You have to buy your own pods, but they are much, much cheaper than in the States. The apartments were clean, but were somewhat pricey for the size. Also, the rooms facing the streets were quite noisy even throughout the night.

We could find everything we needed within a few hundred feet of the apartments. We arrived after midnight and found some small stores open until 2 a.m. We were all still on US time and the children were hungry, so we found a “pizza by the slice” kiosk and took advantage of the tasty treat. There is a fresh fruit/vegetable store across the street run by a Chinese lady who speaks English. Their produce was very good.

Our cruise didn’t leave until the afternoon, and we were disappointed that no late checkout was permitted. We had to be gone by 11:00 a.m.

Very nice place to stay for a few days but the ceilings give little acoustic insulation. So if the people upstairs come back late then you are going to be awake. Every noise echoes through unfortunately but the apartments are very well equipped and cared for, staff were also very helpful.

Family break to celebrate my wife’s birthday was ruined by the lack of sleep we got due to noise from the streets even though on third floor but also of other residents. Doors slamming, kids shouting and screaming until early hours and then noise from the road below... was like all windows were open but no double glazed windows all closed. We were charged an extra 25 euros on arrival for late check in (after 8pm) due to our flight being delayed but this was documented anywhere on the booking charged/fees information. On the plus side they did put a bottle in the room for my wife’s birthday which was a nice touch.

The apartment had a taxi waiting for us when we arrived at the airport making it a smooth transition to our accommodation. The gentleman behind the desk at reception was wonderful; polite, helpful, friendly and gave great advice. The apartment itself was extremely clean, well maintained with everything you could want. It was plenty big enough for 4 adults. The location was excellent- bars, restaurants, supermarkets literally on your doorstep. I would definitely recommend to others and would happily stay here again.

Nice Hotel in las Ramblas area. Lots of good food nearby. Not for people who like fancy Marriot Hotels, but prefer something small, cozy ,European. Our room was on the 6th floor and the Elevator only goes to the 5th. Not a problem for me, but some people might have an issue with it. Nice view from our floor of over the rooftops of the city. I asked for new towels the second day - because my wife insisted - and the receptionist said \"we only change towels every four days\". She (bedrugingly) gave me the towels. Again... not something I care about.. but this hotel is not for picky people. Overall... I loved it.

Close to Ramblas, Lots of Noise

Based on the photography of the apartments on the hotel website, my impression was very positive. In person, I was somewhat disappointed. We only ended up staying for two nights of a four-night reservation, which was not the hotel's fault at all. However, the two nights we did spend were extremely noisy because the street is just so loud. The rooms were quite small, including tiny bathrooms, and there was an absolutely overpowering smell of air freshener. The double bed was not very comfortable, though I think the single ones were fine for children.

If you really need to be in the Ramblas, this place is convenient. However, I've stayed in much nicer and less expensive places in Eixample, which I personally prefer for the significantly quieter surroundings. The staff at Palou Suites were helpful and kind, and I liked the card system for turning on and off the electricity and opening doors. Everything in the apartment worked, and they kindly provided things like washing tablets for the dishwasher.

Overall, this place was fine, but I wouldn't return due to the noise and cramped feeling.

Spacious, clean and cute apartment. Had everything we needed for our stay. Tony shower in one room, but the main bedroom, which had its own bathroom had a larger shower. Check-in and out were simple. Staff didn't give us the warm & fuzzies, but they were still business like and professional. Within walking distance to La Rambla, Columbus statue, piers, shopping, dining, etc.

The apartment is right by Las Ramblas so a perfect place to stay for exploration of the city. Comfortable living room area and nice compact kitchen. The master bathroom is tight but good, the second bath room shower is very small. The staff downstairs is very helpful and friendly.
Note: the light is dim except in the bathrooms & late night there tends to be tourists being loud on the streets (bring ear plugs).. bed are comfortable.

It was so hot-we were thankful for the AC. We arrived very early. Staff let us put bags in lockers and in a backroom and wait there for a few hours until our room was ready. We were grateful. Property is well-maintained and very clean. Laundry only every 3days. Balcony view is a bit ghetto but also nice to see some well-maintained local backyards. Property offers great breakfast deal across the street at Guell Tapas. Fantastic service and food!! Laundromat next door with huge machines and helpers. Fantastic apartment central to most tourist places

Lovely apartment, very clean, location was fantastic. Staff were very helpful. Only issue we had was that there was no hot water for showers but definitely would stay there again. Added touch, drinks were waiting for us in the room as we had two birthdays. Great place

Nice modern apartment right off Gothic Quarter

What a great apartment. The location is right beside Palace Guell, and right off las Ramblas. It is on a busy side street, but I enjoyed the bonus of having many local markets, stores, and bakeries right there. The parking garage is right across the street.
The actual apartment was modern styled. We liked the decor, though the red lamp was funny and one we didn't use. We had a terrace off the back, which does not have a view of anything except the back of other buildings after a bit of green \"grass\", but we enjoyed sitting outside and just relaxing. We had 2 bedrooms, adequately sized. There were 2 bathrooms, with the house bathroom being slightly bigger than the master (but master had the bigger shower :). The kitchen had all the amenities, and I really loved the washing machine. There was even maid service, unusual for an apartment. It was a great apartment in a great location.

Palou suites family trip

Very close to Las Ramblas and Colon Circle. Area is not glamorous at night, but the apartment was recently refurbished, equipped and in great condition. Washing machine was very convenient. Beds and linen are very comfortable. Exterior facade is being redone as well.
We found it akward that even though cleaning service is performed daily, that towels are changed every 3 days and toilet paper is not supplied restored in 3 days either.

Pick a different hotel

The hotel was just ok nothing fancy. The photos are a bit misleading. When we were there it was under construction and we could not open our windows or look out of them. The area was close to many places to eat and shop. Did not feel good about walking alone on the street the hotel was on. We tried to contact Expedia to be relocated but after an hour on the phone we just decided to tough it out. Expedia you let us down on this one!!

Well located apartment with lots of space

Great apartment for families or small groups with all the space you could need and kitchen to make breakfast and simple food. Not much English tv available but we weren't really bothered as there was so much else to do.

Spoilt by the noise

The apartment (2nd floor at the front) was spotlessly clear and fantastically presented, very warm welcome and staff very happy to help. I know others have commented on the noise at the front here and TBH we were happy to ignore it, we've stayed in many central city locations and had no problems, here is very different, the buildings on the other side of the road are very close and so sound bounces around. The road quietens down at about 3.00am during the week and about 5.00am from Friday evening. The street then awakens again at about 8.00am. 'All' the owners need to do is put insulation in the metal surrounds I would think, the glass is good double glazing but the surrounding metal let's all the noise in. I'm sure the rear apartments are perfect. The location is spot on. But no sleep for 4 nights makes for a poor experience. My wife faired a little bit better with ear plugs, if you can sleep with ear plugs you'll probably be fine during the week, but Fri, Sat and Sun could be a problem as even with ear plugs my wife struggled. Honestly, if not for the noise I would give 5 stars! I know it's not their fault and nothing they can really do. Ironically they put up scaffolding on the second day of our stay which actually helped lessen the noise!

Love to travel

Very spacious for an apartment in Barcelona.

The apartment was larger considering the location. It was convenient to La Ramblas, grocery stores, and restaurants. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. He called to ensure my pre-arranged transportation to the airport was confirmed and helped me print boarding passes as the website was in spanish.The only negatives are the view from the terrace of apartment 4 overlooks the back of buildings, there were no paper towels and no dish cloth. We were aware that face cloths are not traditional in Barcelona so we did not expect to find any in the room.

Very close to main attractions.

Nice apartment style. Very close to La Rambla. Only bad thing was that the elevator didn't work the day we were leaving, so we had to haul all of our luggage down the stairs and the main lobby doesn't open until 9:00am. Not sure if the elevator just doesn't work until 9am, but it was not very fun.

Classy Apartments close to La Rambla

6 of us stayed in a two bedroom terrace apartment for a couple of nights with 2 on a sofa bed in the living room. The apartment has everything you need including almost a full kitchen (there's no oven but there is a hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine along with some other appliances) and plenty of cupboard space for clothes and bags. They offer a free cleaning service and the staff are incredibly helpful providing information as well as booking us a taxi to the airport on the morning 4 of us left. The terrace was big enough for us all in the morning for our coffee and there were plenty of chairs in the apartment as well. It's worth highlighting though that this is not a party apartment block. As you are surrounded by flats of residents you are asked to be wary of the noise you make and to keep noise to a minimum between certain hours in the evening. Unfortunately, surrounding apartments didn't seem to take much notice so I was woken up several times during the night as people slammed doors and shouted in the hall, however this is not the fault of Palou Suites!

Great hotel and right in the heart of la Ramblas , very clean and hotel staff very friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which also had a pull out sofa bed . We had 3 great nights stopping at the Palou Suited Ramblas. Very close to plenty of Tapas bars and restaurants.

Great apartment, location and staff

The apartment was in a great location and the Gentleman who checked us in was very helpful. The apartment was clean and had great views. It was slightly noisy at night time, but this is to be expected given the style of the property, it's location and the narrow hall ways. The apartment was perfect for two people but I expect if a further couple had been using the sofa bed it may have felt a little cramped. Overall this place was perfect for our requirements and we would stay here again when visiting Barcelona. We weeee able to leave our luggage in storage after we checked out which was an added bonus.

Great location, staff and facilties

The hotel is situated in a very central location. The staff were very very helpful, accommodating and did a very good job of explaining some of the sights to see, how transportation system works, restaurants, etc.

The room was very clean, comfortable and everything worked. Breakfast vouchers worked fine as well.

Overall, I would stay there again.

Very nice stay.

Very good stay, apartment was as described and had everything you needed. Only problem was the noise from the street in the front bedroom, the double glazing did not do a very good job of keeping the noise out. The back bedroom did not have this problem. Would stay again but would ask for an apartment that did not face the main road.

Modern apartment in a great central location.

The apartments are located just off the Ramblas, close to underground stations and within walking distance to the see front, main market, next door to Palau Guell and close to other main attractions.
It was my husband's birthday during the stay and the hotel surprised us with complimentary bottle of Cava.

Superb Apartment, brilliant location

Couldnt reccomend highly enough. Very easy booking process and great communication with staff. Lovely apartment, quiet even though a stones throw from Las Ramblas. On check in the receptionist spent ages ansering our tourist questions and drawing maps - extremely helpful.
