Barely any ammenities in the rooms. No signage for water (or any items) in the mini bar and then told we’d need to pay at check out. No instructions in the room at all. Bathrooms are dirty, carpets were not vacuumed. There was a lot of noise during the middle of the night from the floor above and in the early morning (8am) from housekeepers banging and making lots of noise. They blocked out door with trolleys and vacuums on multiple occasions. Overall the quality and service has decreased since my last stay and it was a pretty underwhelming/ unrelaxing experience.

Sadly the standard room we were in wasn’t amazing. Hard bed, very dark room with little natural light, awful tv (kept dropping out) and design with bathroom meant you could hear the good bad and ugly. Good location, easy to get to places, staff very helpful. Unfortunately very noisy reverse airconditioning in the bedrooms which couldn't be turned off - so it ran on and off all night. Bed not overly comfortable - the attachment mechanism for the two beds joined together was not covered - so you felt it when sleeping and there were no bathrobes.

It took three times to get the key right to the correct room. The reception gave us the wrong room which somebody already there awkward much. Somebody vomited in the lift which took forever to be cleaned. The check out stuff was in no rush to check guests but to mingle with friends.

It was a great stay. We were down in Canberra for a birthday celebration for my daughter. Very good location and the hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff are super friendly and the services are great.
Had a casual chat with staff at reception and told them about the the occasion. Next thing we know, there was a knock at the door and its was a cake with a sign saying Happy Birthday. They made sure we were treated well and went with that extra step with the cake.

Stayed here for two nights and most importantly was incredibly warm for the duration (we stayed mid-winter!)
It's a funny place to stay, while check-in is at the hotel foyer, the apartments are located at 1 and 5 Macquarie St, so entering them is via a different location. So if you're staying in an apartment, don't expect it to be the same as a regular hotel stay. I'd equate it almost to a serviced apartment.
Not that it detracted from the lovely room or anything, we were both comfortable.
The living area was massive, and there was a dining table and chairs. The kitchen had a full fridge and freezer, a microwave oven and a dishwasher. There was also an induction stovetop for cooking (we didn't cook during our stay).
The parking situation involved a separate fob (rather than a room key), so if you have more than one car for your booking, you'll have to pay $20 a night extra for the additional fob.
Our booking included a buffet breakfast which takes place at nearby Ostani which is part of the Hotel Realm. The selection was the normal fare.
Overall, a comfortable stay, but having stayed at Hotel Realm previously, I would stay there instead given the choice.

Really loved this hotel. Stayed with our two little kids and the apartment was so clean and spacious. The grounds around were so nice and so many restaurants, bars and cafes to choose from. Location was so central to everything. Thw apartment was really modern, light filled and airy. The staff presented the kids with kids packs for their stay and they were the best free kids pack we’ve ever got from a hotel - there was sooo much colouring in and activities inside which kept them entertained the whole 4 nights.
