Very old hotel definitely needs a major renovation we had the buffet breakfast it was ok nothing special but I did get turned off by how dirty the dining chairs were I didn’t want to sit on them very old and stained a real turn off.
We also had no parking when we returned back in the night and had to park on the street we wouldn’t stay here again

Rooms are very dated and tired. Breakfast was average - coffee machine needed cleaning, overall presentation of food and furniture below standard. Positives were bed was very comfortable, location was quiet, easy parking, and the staff member who greeted me upon arrival - was very friendly and welcoming.

The room was in good condition & the staff were courteous, but their system for handling inbound phone calls appears to be broken. I rang on the morning of the day of our booking as I had not had any contact from them about it, all I had was a confirmation from Wotif. I left as message as no one answered & have not been called back. We rang to make a restaurant booking & all their system did was put us through to voicemail

Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was a very hot day and it was very thoughtful that the air conditioning was on and the room was beautifully and cool. It was very quiet and the bed was Very Comfortable hence I had a Great night sleep. Couldn’t get the TV to work but staff at reception soon called someone who came straight away and fixed it and showed me how to use it as it was confusing. I only stayed the one night as I was in Canberra for an early appointment the next morning, so I didn’t get to try the restaurant/bar or breakfast but it all looked very nice. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

The room was not clean - my 10 month nephew found gummy bears and skittles on the floor. The doona had no covers and had a number of \"suspect\" stains, clearly not washed between guests. Room had no bowls or cutlery. We were kept awake by people upstairs doing the deed for hours. Questionable if it was a s3x worker as it was between 9pm-3am with the sound of doors opening and closing.

The only positive thing was the bathroom was nice and clean with prime location to our needs.

Arrived and was given the wrong room. Beds weren’t made properly and didn’t have mattress protectors on it. Staff were nice, however I had to ask for new sheets twice and had to keep following it up. Pool was muggy and dirty - they need to put chlorine in it, would not recommend swimming until they do so at the risk of getting sick. Tv, kettle and phone was also broken so I couldn’t call through to reception. I walked around to get a new kettle. Hair also stuck on the roof of the bathroom.

All in all it was pretty disappointing, however it does has potential to be a nice stay if they sharpen up the housekeeping. I would recommend they invest in proper bedding and some oversight of housekeeping staff - one of the housekeepers was busy talking on his phone when I asked for something.

The room was spacious and clean. Staff were courteous and the buffet breakfast was alright - coffee not so great. The only issue was the walls are too thin. We had some noisy neighbours and people out in the hallway late night making some noise which caused a few issues with the kids waking up etc, but otherwise the stay was enjoyable.

Good - I was allocated a nicer room after my keycard to the original room didn’t work, so I’m definitely happy with that. I also happened to get a good Black Friday deal. The room was quite spacious, no housekeeping unless requested but no issues with that - you can always ask for more towels and stuff if required.

1. I had to go to desk after two no room service, after I was told it was daily.
2. Had breakfast, it was the worse food I've ever eaten,all cooked in air fryer.
3. Bathroom full of mold.
4. Internet very weak , unusable.
5. Not enough parking, ridiculous had to park in next block.
Good point though, I left a day early,and the refunded that day, no problem, I guess they are used to it.
I can't recommend anything about this place, another point is the tv was that old it had a set top box, the owners don't care about update anything.
Remember you get what you pay for , the extra to stay somewhere else is worthwhile.

On arrival, we were told that the restaurant, bar and room service were all unavailable for our 1 night stay. We were also given the wrong kind of room, and when asked, they said something about a burst water main. Terrible communication.

Rooms in the main reception area were very noisy well into the night, and no accessibility / lift access to our rooms so we lugged everything up and down the stairs.

Room cleanliness was fine, but the rest of the property was stained and dirty, with common areas particularly soiled. Won't be returning.

Our room was spacious and comfortable and there was a nice little pool. They have a great happy hour and dinner in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Our meal was generous, tasty and good value with plenty of variety on the menu if you don’t feel like going out. If you don’t have a car there’s a handy frequent bus route that takes you into the city quickly with stops at lots of local attractions and eateries on the lake.

I booked for 7 children and 3 adults to I stayed in the family rooms. There was no microwave, no cutlery, no bowls or plates. NOTHING! When I went to reception to ask about a use of a microwave or cutlery or plate or bowl or something I was told to come back at breakfast time. Which was absolutely ridiculous. The room had ants all over the benches and bathroom and bins which ended up all over our belongings. The beds were absolutely filthy underneath the sheets. It was the most horrible stay in Canberra. It was very lacking and disappointing. I won’t be staying there again.

The room is located upstairs, and there is no elevator for guests. We had to carry our suitcases up the main staircase and then climb additional stairs to reach the room.

Unfortunately, the room was old and very dirty. I have never seen so much dust under a bed before—it was extremely unpleasant. The pillow felt like it had been previously used and not properly changed, with visible hair and scalp residue left on it.

The fridge was also not working properly and felt more like room temperature.

One positive detail was that the shampoo and shower gel smelled great. The price was also reasonable for one night. However, due to the cleanliness and comfort issues, I would not choose to stay here again.

No bedside light , breakfast food had run out by 8am , no info about wi fi or hotel info in the room .Tiny towels and only 2 ,
Sheer curtains in the bedroom so no block out curtains and also no privacy .
Wax stain as in a huge hard wax area on the carpet about the size of a dinner plate as soon as you walk in .
As we departed yesterday , the door handle to the main exit door came off in my hand !
This hotel is a disaster . Even budget hotels in Asia are better run than this .
Also no real coffee.
Most hotels offer the option to purchase an espresso. ....your 1 option for coffee uses powdered milk ...undrinkable .

They have \"Please service my room\" door hanger tags in the room, but when I hung one, my room was not serviced. When I asked at reception why, I was pointed to a tiny sign on the desk, of the type that no one reads when checking in, especially when very tired, saying you had to arrange at reception to have your room serviced. Staff at check in were very helpful and professional. Upgraded my husband and I to a nicer room facing the main road. Upstairs, good sized room, clean & tidy, bathroom & shower good too. Internet was down our first day but spoke to staff at front desk next day and they helped us to get connected . Only tea & coffee facilities provided in room and a few glasses. All in all we were happy with our 3 day stay and found staff to be very helpful.

Room was not disabled friendly as advertised. Indeed there is one step to get into the building! Room, whilst spacious, resembled a school excursion room quickly converted for adults during the weekend. Deep cleaning required, with carpet requiring stretching. No bedside lamps, with bed straight onto brick wall. Bathroom a tight fit for any adult, with one inch step to enter. Metal in shower rusting and tiles in shower poorly laid, with opportunity to remove toe nail if standing near offending tiles. Only stayed here because of all the roadworks, with Northbourne Avenue and one bridge blocked. Would I stay again? Probably not. Room 112.
