We booked the 2 bedroom waterfront room which was spacious for our family of 4 and had 2 bathroom. The kids had their own twin beds and the adults room had a king bed.

The property has 3 pools, an infinity pool, a toddler pool which both were unheated. There was a smaller heated pool.

The hotel restaurant has semi limited selection and is reasonably priced. The downside is the menu is only avail in Portuguese but the few meals we had at the restaurant was delicious.

If you choose not to eat at the hotel, you are about a 5 minute walk to a mall (Shopping Piratas) which had several restaurants, which we did not try.

The included breakfast was simple but in my opinion better than what you find in the US hotels that include breakfast.

A big plus for this property is that it has its own dock, which was convenient specially when you charter a boat to visit the region by boat.

The one thing for visitors is to bring your adaptor for plugs as the hotel does not offer US/Canada style plugs and we were forced to go to the local mall to buy the adaptor as the hotel did not have any to lend out. The hotel did have ones avail to buy, but would just recommend the 5 minute walk to the mall to buy the adaptors.

It is an okay hotel but definitely not 4 stars. Breakfast options are limited. Rooms are not so bad but not luxury. It is by the sea, but not on beach, nore is there a place to swim in the sea. Max 3 stars.

The hotel reminded me of a small resort which was nice. They have security at the entrance which makes you feel safe. The pool area was my favourite part, very beautiful view. There’s a shopping mall in walking distance which was very convenient.

Rules, rules, rules; No uniform enforcement though

During covid era, that is the deal: hotels have policies. The thing here is that it’s overwhelming and hypocritical, not practical. They make you sign tons of papers, give you pages of rules, signs everywhere, very strict on vaccination cards (which is NOT the law yet, btw), BUT in actuality, no one follows any it. The pool area was full of people, breakfast area packed, one small elevator functioning for the entire hotel (5-6 floors). If they really cared about security, they’d restrict number of guests and fix their elevator.. Just made it feel stressful, people come here to relax. Those who are afraid should stay home for now, not require hotels to be more bureaucratic. I did not feel “safer.” Breakfast was pretty good, but other food was bad and ridiculously expensive. It is very much a family place so if you think it’ll be more adult environment, it’s not. It’s not on the beach, it’s a port. The pool area is really cool, and it makes for a nice sunset spot (if you find one in the crowd.) Convenient if you book a tour through them, boats leave from right in their dock. I would come back if they made it more relaxing experience than what I got.

On top of the restaurant there were the pipes from the aircondition. The noice was so high it was like saying in the middle of an airport.

Terrible noice all day when you were on your terasse, even when you were in your room.

The pool is just breathtaking but the rooms and the hotel itself needs a lot of improvements. The bathroom had mold on the tiles and it's very outdated. Very expensive hotel for the price. The curtains were dirty and old. If you turn around while you were sleeping the bed would move. Very old bed. Overall, just the pool was worth my visit.

The hotel Is like a resort, they have a swimming pool with a bar, you can stay their all day and doesn't need to get out. The rooms are like condos: little kitchens with a microwave, living room with a TV, bedroom with a walk in closet and a tv, nice and big bathroom and a balcony. Very nice. The room had some water damage and it's very humid but the a/c helps a lot. The floor is all very hard, no rugs to muffle the sounds. We stayed their in the low season so I guess when this hotel is full it is going to be very noisy. Breakfast is included and its a nice buffet. Lunch and dinner can also be purchase at the hotel. The one thing it really bother me: they charged us 10,00 reais (about 3 dollars) for a bucket of ice. A bucket of ice?! It was very upsetting.

Angra Dos Reis has little to offer in the way of fine dinning, relaxation or tourism in general however Golden Tulip is an oasis. You simply wouldn't want to stay at any other location in this area. Rooms were exceptional for this price range. Service was 1st class and the views were spectacular. Pretty much a resort hotel in a business community.

Beautiful pool, friendly staff

The pool is the highlight of this hotel, you will see that in the photos. It is beautiful. I also found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was good, and the breakfast buffet was superior to many of the hotels I have stayed at in Brazil (granted, none of those were luxury hotels just to set your expectation). The drawback is that there is some maintenance/renovation work going on at the hotel right now. This didn't really affect my stay at all, but could if you were in a room that is near the work, or if you like to sleep really late in the morning and would be bothered by the noise.

Arrived at the hotel at 10:pm on Friday night - restaurant had just closed, no vending machines for a soda - only Room Service or the Mini-Bar in room for water or soda.

Restaurant was overpriced and was closed periodically during the day (between Breakfast / Lunch and Lunch / Dinner.

no way near as nice in reality!!

The photos are v misleading. Angra itself is no way near as pretty as the rest of the surrounding coastline. So The Golden tulip chain were v good and transferred our booking for a smallish sur charge to their sister hotel in Rio, We are very pleased with this - good customer service Just a shame Angra and the hotel were a massive disappointmentt - not sure why Brazilians go to angra when there was so many other nicer places!!

We were lucky to Get a room for two nights on short notice during a holiday weekend. We had tomswircj rooms, but that turned out for the best. The rooms in Block #2 are much newer and nicer than in Block #1.

Gostei do lugar… mas aqui vai umas ressalvas ….o restaurante do hotel deixou a desejar pouca variação no café da manhã e na meia pensão (jantar) não tinha buffet e não davam nem água nem refri, tive q pegar as bebidas e ninguém avisou nada sobre, o próprio restaurante ficou meio perdido, acho q não é hábito pedirem meia pensão lá …

O quarto do hotel é grande e espaçoso mas os móveis são meio antigos em contra partida a vista é linda

O lugar é limpo e bem arrumado e os funcionários são foram atenciosos

Tem duas piscinas mas apenas uma aquecida … fui em agosto então apesar de sol na dava pra ficar na piscina maior pq a água é gelada, mas a piscina quente ajudou

Voltaria ao local, sim, gostei

Quarto com goteiras , que ficaram pingando durante toda a noite.
O sofá-cama é péssimo, e quase impossível de dormir nele.
Travesseiros são ruins.
Tive problemas no atendimento de pedidos no bar da piscina, pois o hotel remanejou quase todos os funcionários para o preparo do almoço de Páscoa, deixando totalmente comprometido o atendimento no bar da piscina.

Um bom hotel, embora seja de frente pro mar ele não tem praia que se possa entrar.

O hotel mudou de bandeira recentemente. A infraestrutura em geral é otima, os quartos sao bem espaçosos, a cama é bem grande e confortável. Destque positivo para as piscinas. O café da manha é muito bom, porém não vale a pena de forma alguma incluir o jantar. O valor é alto e o buffet é sofrível, muito ruim mesmo, com pouquíssima diversidade e sem tempero, eu quase nao acreditei quando cheguei para jantar, foi decepcionante.

É uma boa hospedagem, tendo em vista estar localizado bem próximo a região central. A área de lazer é muito agradável, com piscinas borda infinita e aquecida. Um bom bar. Café da manhã bom. O restaurante é sofrível, não dá pra fazer as demais refeições no local, é urgente que se melhore a qualidade dos profissionais de cozinha.
Se você não se importar de sair pra almoçar ou jantar em outros locais, no geral é uma boa hospedagem.

Área de lazer muito boa e agradavel, as piscinas são maravilhosas e o horário de funcionamento excelente pois vai até as 22h
No entanto, o quarto, que foi o mais simples, deixou um pouco a desejar. Outro ponto q poderia ser melhor, é ter um serviço de quarto mais cedo, e tem somente após as 22h ou vc precisa se locomover até o bar da piscina caso não queira jantar no buffet do restaurante.

Muito bom, mas tem pontos de atenção.

Hotel bem localizado e possui estacionamento. Área de piscina muito boa com uma vista linda. Café da manhã ok, com muitas opções. Quarto não é aconchegante e passa a impressão de ser uma construção e decoração velhos. Preços cobrados no restaurante totalmente fora da realidade, cobraram 20 reais em uma lata de cerveja 350ml. Vale muito mais a pena comer no shopping que fica a 5 minutos de caminhada do hotel. Mas o principal ponto negativo foi o passeio às ilhas. Te colocam numa lancha velha e lotada. Translado muito desagradável e deixa os passageiros nervosos e com medo. Embora as ilhas sejam lindas, precisa de um marinheiro que transmita segurança aos hóspedes transportados, na volta ele fez algumas manobras totalmente desnecessárias, por um instante achei que fosse colidir com outras embarcações. Precisam dar opções mais confortáveis na hora de vender os passeios as ilhas.

O hotel é excelente. Vista maravilhosa, piscinas super bem cuidadas, funcionários atenciosos e prestativos. Café da manhã também muito bom e diversificado.
Se puder fazer uma observação: senti falta de um \"suporte\" para secar as roupas molhadas (talvez porque meu quarto era o mais simples mesmo).
O que não gostei foi a cama com colchão de mola e os travesseiros eram muito altos para meu padrão, mas entendo que isso é também uma questão de adaptação pessoal

Très bon établissement, très bien tenu. Piscine agréable, chambre spacieuse.
Climatisation efficace, literie impeccable en terme de confort et de dimensions. Douche agréable.

Petit-déjeuner varié. Si la musique matinale d'ambiance est trop forte, il vous faudra trouver le bon interlocuteur pour remédier au dérangement !

Restaurant de bonne qualité, attention cependant à ce que l'ensemble du personnel applique les mêmes standards de service (formation des jeunes !!).

Service de la réception efficace.

Très bon établissement en tout cas.

Fizemos check in 30 minutos antes do horário ponto positivo … por outro lado apesar de termos feito reserva pra 3 pessoas faltou arrumar o sofá cama e todos os itens da 3º pessoa , não tinha roupa de banho , sabonete , copo etc só tinha itens pra 2 pessoas . Solicitamos inúmeras vezes desde a entrada no quarto e só fomos atendidos no final da tarde . Tive que tomar banho com a toalha de rosto . Uma pena gostamos muito do hotel mas desta vez deixou muito a desejar .Fizemps pedido no restaurante as 21:00 horas é o pedido só chegou as 22:40 sem talheres foi preciso correr atrás da funcionária no elevador e solicitar.

Gostei muito, vista maravilhosa. Recomendo atividades para jovens e criancas, o hotel tem quadra e nao estimula interacao entre os jovens
