The hotel is generally businesslike and easy to access and stay in. Parking was ¥700.

Overall fairly clean except that there were some ?blood stains on one of the outer bedsheets. It was quite obvious - brownish red on a white cover - I wonder if it is an old stain - which they should have used some bleach or was it just not properly cleaned / changed.

Otherwise, the toilet was fairly new and the breakfast was decent. Would have really been happy with the stay if not for the bedsheet.

Paid for breakfast on our 2nd day due to rain. Good variety and great breadpudding (needs a warm sauce, though). Room was clean and bed had an area to enter from both right and left sides. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient.

My childhood friend and I stayed at your hotel during our two week vacation to Japan. From parking to check-in to dinner to breakfast to check out it was a seamless streamlined experience. The staff was wonderful and the lovely gentleman at check-in was so kind patient and helpful.

Tiny rooms for 3 so luggage and coats were a struggle but we had our own beds and super comfortable pillows. Hotel was a stone throw from the station so it was convenient even while snowing. Checked us in early so we could refresh before exploring the charming Hirosaki.

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and it was great. Coming back after 5 years a little different. Need to improve on the cleanliness. Pillow smells like it hasn't change at all. Curtains has a lot of stains and air conditioning not working well. This hotel need to refurbish or improve on the cleaning. If i return to Hirosaki, I will opp for another hotel.

Art Hotel Hirosaki is located directly next to the main station in the city. You can connect to many places across Aomori with ease. The view of Iwaki san is also nice on clear days

The place itself is definitely getting old. The service was great and the staffs were nice. There is a 24HR convenience store right by the entrance so, I got a coffee from them every morning. Right by the Hirosaki station; so it’s easy access to anywhere.
I just hope they will update inside soon.

Amenities are great. Also, there is a laundry room that takes coins.

The room was clean and had great amenities. I loved that they had an air cleaner/humidifier in the room. I had a lovely view of mount Iwaki from my window, which was a treat! Their bed and pillows are superb and comfortable! They also had a single-cup espresso/coffee maker (similar to Nespresso), so I was able to make a tasty cup of coffee in the room. Bath/shower room was really nice and clean as well. Their breakfast buffet was impressive as well. More than enough choices, and they were delicious. They let you take coffee/tea back to your room as well. Seven-Eleven is on the ground floor, and the hotel is a minute walk from Hirosaki train station as well (super convenient). They have off-site parking but is next door, so it is also a minute walk to the hotel. Friendly staff as well. I had a great experience staying at this hotel!

Awful service - Booked pre-COVID for a stay that didn’t end up happening due to strict travel restrictions in both the US and JP. Reached out to this hotel to ask for a cancellation despite their “no-cancellation” policy due to what was obviously an extreme, “act-of-God” type circumstance. Initially, the hotel representative I ended up getting in touch with was amenable to refunding my stay, but asked me to check if Expedia was willing to work with them to get me my refund. After numerous attempts to get in touch with Expedia (remember, this was peak COVID and everyone was trying to cancel and refund plans), I finally got them to agree to check in with the hotel’s management company. Expedia had trouble with the language barrier, but what they gathered was that Art Hotel was no longer willing to refund my fare and blamed Expedia for the issue, despite me having paper evidence that their representative agreed to the refund. Completely unwilling to work with me after that despite the situation. Avoid at all costs!

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Art Hotel Hirosaki.. It was so comfortable and conveniently accessible to public transport, taxis etc. The service was great, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely fitted out. The bed was cozy and comfy and the bathroom was clean and guests are provided with ample amenities. I will stay again for sure next time I return to Hirosaki. Thank you!

The service was good, and the location was great. The breakfast is good if you get it with the room, but probably not worth $20 per person. The room was uncomfortably small and the bathroom was elevated- so you have to step up to get in to it. The room smelled musty. There is no AC... The pillows are indescribably hard...but the location is convenient and good.

1 minute walk from the train station which helped cause we had a bunch of luggage. Decent for the area and check in was smooth.

Local 100 Yen bus had a stop directly infront of the hotel too, so its really convenient.

This hotel is a 3mins walk from the Hirosaki station. Once you exit from the station, it is prominently located on your left.
Fantastic hotel with excellent frontdesk service. Room is spacious n modern. Breakfast wise, I was totally blown away. Lots n lots variety of delicious food.

The location was great.
Very clean and staff were English friendly.
Helped us book taxis to and from places.

We would have given this hotel an excellent rating if not for the initial unhappiness. We booked 2 non- smoking rooms and we given smoking rooms instead. After several rounds of conversations, then were we alloted to our non-smoking rooms on the ninth floor which were comfortable, clean and pleasant,
In terms of location, it is excellent, just beside the JR station and bus terminal. Dinner options a little limited in this part of town as it as away from Hirosaki castle but we found a restaurant called Private Dining, just diagonally across the hotel. Prices are reasonable and the variety is huge. Food quality is excellent.

Lovely grounds. Amazing dinner buffet. There were two things that gave me pause - there were quite a few flying insects around the \"over water pavilion rooms\". While there was a lovely balcony, the doors to the room must be kept closed due to the insects. Additionally, if you have an over water room that faces the front of the hotel - chances are when you open you shutters to access the balcony, you will see local fishermen lined up across the lake.

Chose this particular hotel for its location and it didn't disappoint. Literally a stone throw away from the JR station. Rooms are big for Japanese hotel standards and price. Didn't get to stay long though since I just used it as a transit hotel to Tokyo.
