Igual recomiendo que se queden a dormir, es tranquilo.

Stayed here for 5days. The location is a bit far from the night market place but it is still in walking distance (around 10~15 mins). So we always go by walk to downtown.
The owner and staffs were so kind and they greeted me and support me in many ways. It was valuable stay overall.

Terrible service, beds were rock hard. They also lied to us about hotel occupancy and downgraded our room. WiFi was slow and the water pressure was almost none. We ended up having to move hotels.

Quiet, personal hotel

Good little hotel. Clean and simple. Nice balcony area outside the room was great to watch the world go by. The Manager went out of her way to get us on to a minibus trip to the waterfall at the last minute.

This place was beautiful, clean and safe, its in a wonderful location, close to the best restaurants, the temples and its right next to the river. The staff were very nice and helpful. I wanted to stay for an extra night, but they were booked, so the lady at the desk found me a room in another hotel close by, she told me i could leave my luggage in the room and she would have it moved over to the new hotel when my room was ready. That even when i came back from tour it was all taken care of! They also have the best and cleapest laundry service in Loas. Love this place

Comfortable stay for the value

The villa was great overall. Good sized rooms with a decent sized bathroom; the location is quiet as it's at the tip of the peninsula. The staff was friendly and helpful, but besides the owner lady, the English level of the staff was limited. It's finally comforting to see the waiter at breakfast to write down the orders of each table instead of relying on his (poor) memory. The only thing stands out negatively was the blood stain on the mattress, which was visible through the thin bedsheet.

A little oasis in the hear of things.

Right by one of the rivers on a quiet road parallel to the main tourist street, the location was excellent.
Convenient for good eating and drinking as well as starting points for many tours.
Clean with a nice sitting area outside the room on the ground floor, I wouldn't choose a room behind the main building without a view.
Freshly cooked breakfast was a bonus though the menu was limited if you stay there for more than 2 days.
Good English spoken and friendly staff.

A nice guesthouse in a good location.

A friend and I stayed 3 nights at Villa Somphong in March 2017. It is a nice guesthouse overlooking the River Kahn. It is only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre of Luang Prabang old town, most of the sights and the boats offering trips down the Mekong. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The manager booked a trip to the elephant sanctury and Kuang Si Falls for us and the staff can assist with a range of trips, onward flight bookings etc. The breakfast is satisfactory and there are a number of very good restaurants that can be reached in under 10 minutes on foot. Overall it was good value.

Nice outlook over the the river

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Somphong. Our room had a nice outdoor area overlooking the river across the road. It was a short walk to restaurants and shops. There was some confusion about our reservation which left us without a room for the last night of our stay, but Noy worked very hard to find another property that we'd be happy with. I have to say she really came through for us because we loved our stay at the Thongbay Resort. If we ever return to Luang Prabang we would be happy to stay at either of these properties.

6 days in Luang Prabang

The hotel is in a good location close to shops, restaurants and bars. The first night we got a room upstairs with a view of the nam khan river. the 2nd day they offered to move us downstairs since we had 2 kids, one being a year old. the room downstairs were newer and bigger. it also has a little porch which was perfect. Breakfast was served right in front of our room which made it convenient. Breakfast was tasty. customer service was great. WiFi was good. only negative was it was hard to get hot water in the showers. also, they do not change your sheets everyday.

We enjoyed our stay at this conveniently located and well serviced guesthouse. The staff were helpful and friendly. I loved the shoes free environment, which kept the timber floors beautifully clean. Breakfast outdoors by the river was a very pleasant experience.

Faces Nam Khan River. Close to most every thing. Bit of a walk to the night market - if your're not in walking shape.

Good breakfast across the street, just above the river.

Some temporary construction (addition to a building till August 2016, but only during day time hours.

Was suprised when 3 of us had to pay 20,000 kep ($2.50 USD) to tuktuk ride to the airport. Thought it was included in Hotels.com pricing.

The lady that seems to run it was great, as was the staff.

Good location not far from Wat Xieng Thing, and the main town. I found rooms a little loud and not that clean. The person I assume was the manager was great and really helpful, other staff not so much. Great included breakfast with lots of food and many options served on the river!

Great location opposite the river. Very close to restaurants, shops & night market. Staff lovely and the owner great, offering help and advice with a smile on her face.

Generous breakfast, which was a bonus. Small shop with basics on site and they also provided, or could arrange excursions etc - all very convenient.

Room basic, as expected, but very clean. Space a bit tight, especially around the bed, so difficult to walk around but given we spent very little time in the room it wasn't really an issue.

Would definitely recommend.

Great accommodations in Luang Prabang

I stayed here three nights and had an excellent experience. The staff are friendly and peak English. The room was very quiet for sleeping. The mattress was comfortable. The internet was good and reliable. They serve breakfast at tables next to the river. The breakfast was good with options of eggs or pancakes. The owner is friendly and will give you information about boat rides, tours and even where to find the immigration office. I highly recommend this place.

Views of the river close to Wat Xieng Thong

Upon our arrival unfortunately there was no power (it was area wide, confirmed by our friends who were at another local property), which meant no A/C! Not to worry, we were given a hand fan each to use which was most welcome. A nice touch and certainly not something they were obliged to do!

The rooms here are very clean and have a nice modern feel to them, the wooden floors are (as in a lot of Laos properties) really nice. The bed was the right amount of hardness and was very comfy to sleep on.

Breakfast is included each morning and you have quite a few choices - although my other half tended towards the banana pancakes every day!

It's only a short walk from here to the Wat Xieng Thong (otherwise known as the Golden City Temple) and then in the other direction to the Night Markets and Dara Market.

We stayed in Villa Somphong for 3 nights. To start with our air con was broken. We were told the owner would come at 8pm to fix. We were dubious but sure enough it was fixed!

The staff (especially the owner) are helpful. The location great and a good breakfast provided. The beds a little hard but overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Had everything you would want: clean modern rooms in good condition, attentive owner manager, satisfying breakfast, nice location by the river. I was very happy to have booked the place. I wanted to stay again but it was full. Negatives: rooms quite small with nowhere to put your bag (except on the floor), water pressure in shower a bit poor, no hot water in the sink & hotel lacks the \"frilly\" bits such as garden, pool etc. (if you're looking for that sort of thing). It's a modest hotel which follows it core strengths well. Neat comfortable rooms in a good location. As long as you're not expecting lavish luxury or a resort but a comfortable room to rest your head after an active day exploring the city & surroundings, I don't think you'll get better.

A great time in Luang Prabang

The hotel was ideal for me. It was in a quiet area overlooking the Nam Thong River in very pleasant surroundings, but within a short distance of several beautiful temples, the old Palace - now a museum, and the hill with the temple on the top which overlooks the whole town. It was only a short distance from the main streets in the UNESCO protected area, and these streets had all the shops I needed for my stay. Very good restaurants, shops describing the many things which could be done including treks, river cruises, cycle rides, elephants, etc., and also motorcycle and cycle hire; also there were serious local handicraft shops, pharmacies, souvenir shops, massage, and general stores which sold amongst other things anything which might have forgotten to be packed. In the evenings part of this road near the museum was closed for a night market, mainly selling local produce with a few stalls selling food. The second day I enjoyed a cruise up the river to visit a local village where the locals were working at the looms and selling from their houses with a great variety of produce. We then went on to visit the two caves at Pak Ou with over 1000 Buddhas. Leaving the caves, we enjoyed a varied and very enjoyable meal on the way back to Luang Prabang. I was extremely impressed with the absence of litter both in the town and the surrounding countryside. I only stayed for 3 days, and hope to stay much longer next time, staying at the same hotel.

半島の先の方の静かなホテル。3度目の滞在でしたが、快適に過ごせます。スタッフも親切、なにしろ静かでくつろげます。繁盛しているようでチェックイン、チェックアウトが毎日ありました。アメニティは、タオル、石鹸、シャンプーのみ。Wi-Fiが探偵していないところが少し残念でした。

周りは静かでリラックスできます。
ナイトマーケットなどへは少し歩きますが徒歩圏内です。
朝ご飯はおかゆがおいしかったです。
スタッフの方々が親切で居心地はよいです。
アメニティーは、石鹸とシャンプー、タオルです。
水が毎日1名1本つきます。
1階の部屋でカーテンを閉めていたため、暗かったです。

２年ぶりに泊まってみて

２年ぶりに泊まってみて２棟が３棟になって規模が大きくなっていた事が嬉しかった。大規模化は良い事ばかりではない、以前は川沿いの空き地にパラソルが２つあって３つほどのテーブルが並んでいてそこで朝食を取れるのがとても良いシュチエーションであったが残念ながら土地が狭く継続利用を断念したようだ。しかしながら商売繁盛、規模拡大は評価の高さの裏付けであり嬉しい限りです。

メコン川とナム・カーン川の交わる半島の先の方のホテル。家族経営で非常に暖かい感じ。ホテルは3棟に分かれていて、私が泊まったところは、ナム・カーン川を眺められる位置。1階の部屋でしたが、玄関を出たところで川を眺めながらゆったり一服はいい感じです。ただし、夜は、川と部屋の間の道路を通るバイクや車の音は結構気になる。朝ごはんのおかゆはおいしかった。簡単な売店もあり飲み物なども買えます。

家族的なホテル

ナムカーン川に面したホテルです。一階の部屋でした。大きいベッドですが部屋はあまり大きくないのですが1人には十分でした。毎日キレイにそうじをしてくれました。チップを置いても受け取らないので。顔を合わせた時にお菓子を渡したりしていました。シャワーのみですが温かいお湯は十分出ます。シャンプーと小さい石鹸は置いてあります。
スタッフはフレンドリーで英語で話しかけてくれました。托鉢は一本内側の通りに行けばみられます。
観光は小さいエリアなので歩きや自転車で回れました。

概ね快適に過ごせます。

部屋の中は快適に過ごせました。部屋の外にテーブルと椅子があり、暑くなければのんびり過ごせます。ただ部屋の外壁にヤモリが結構いますので、苦手な方にはオススメできません。虫全般が多いのは致し方ないですが。。一階に簡易なショップがありますので、冷えたビールや適当なものはすぐに買えます。
フロントに言えば大体何でも手配してくれます。（バイクレンタルやランドリーなど）
