Oh this place provides amazing customer service. Spacious and clean room. Delicious breakfast especially their Chicken Fried rice! Location was close to everything - the Mekong river, the famous temples, the alms ceremony and night market / shops.

I would also like to give a huge shout out to our check-in staff Ken, he went above and beyond to make our stay the most amazing one. He accommodated to split our bed for two people. He was our barista who made our Margarita drink, and our welcome lemongrass drink He served us food in the buffet breakfast. And lastly, he drove us back to the airport.

Overall, I would really recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to visit Luang Prabang. A+++

A very well maintained hotel at a perfect location right on Mekong. Lingering over their delicious breakfast right on the river bank while viewing boat traffic on Mekong was one of the highlights of our time in Laos.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, too.

The Belle Rive is unequivocally the best hotel in one of the most charming towns you will ever visit. Every aspect of the Belle Rive is thoughtfully planned using high quality features, from the buildings to the linens and interior design as well as the numerous amenities. The entire resort, from the staff to the in room comforts, creates a welcoming oasis. This is hands down the best hotel experience of our entire month in Asia. This boutique hotel is perfect for solo travellers and couples. It is located alongside the river thus affording an easy and relaxing view of the Mekong, if you dont mind the low murmur of passing boats. A few steps across the street from the hotel is the terrace restaurant, the hotel's extension where breakfast is served daily. I think this is the main draw. One can just relax here and take in the fresh air while enjoying a drink. It is a front row seat to witness the daily flow of life in the river. On the other side, the bank is covered in vegetation, deep greens and sprayed in spots with red flowers of the firetree. I could sit there whole day. The hotel arranges a complimentary sunset cruise for interested guests. During my stay, I had the whole cruise to myself as the rest backed out in the last minute. Gliding through the brownish waters of the Mekong with a drink in one hand, i took in the whole experience feeling like a million dollar! The staff were super attentive and feels like old friends. My room on the second floor waz clean and cozy. I just wished I stayed in a 1 level floor room as it is becoming a challenge going up and down the loft at night. Thank you Belle Rive...c'était merveilleux.....au revoir for now...will be back!

Great location, right on Mekong River. Many sites like phousi mountain, national museum, morning Market, night market and Many temples walkable. Quiet and safe area. Included free bicycle rental, free sunset Cruise and free mini bar. We had deluxe room, spacious, quiet, comfortable bed and nice amenities. NO TV but can get it upon request. Great breakfast on Mekong River side. Very friendly and helpful staff. Many shops, restaurants and massage spas at walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and in future will consider to stay again. No swimming pool, air-condition and wifi worked well.

What a fabulous hotel this is! I don’t think I’ve ever been as consistently impressed with an accommodation I’ve stayed at. The location on the Mekong side of the peninsula is unbeatable. The room is so thoughtfully laid out and provisioned that we immediately felt at home. The Manger Some Phone has amazing attention to detail and is always looking for ways to add to his guests enjoyment. The restaurant staff are also all stars- super friendly and professional. I couldn’t name a single thing that needs improvement. I’d recommend this hotel to any and all travelers.

The location and room were great but what made our experience truly amazing was the staff. They were so accommodating with logistics and special requests(like booking our train to Vang Vieng) but what really made them truly incredible was that my wife was feeling under the weather and we felt that they were caring and authentic with their concern for her. Somphon and Khai were amazing and the restaurant staff were top notch, I wish I knew all of their names. We have been lucky to travel a lot and we have learned that the staff is what makes a trip amazing and this staff was incredible!!!

One of a kind

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The service was incredibly courteous and personalized. Somphone, in particular, provided outstanding service and helped us plan our trip. The rooms were comfortable, impeccably clean, and located in a meticulously preserved colonial French-era building, which made the stay unique and special. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the Mekong River, which added a special touch to the entire experience. The on-site restaurant was fantastic, offering delicious meals that left me looking forward to each dining opportunity. Breakfast was a real treat, featuring one of the best croissants I've ever had, freshly baked every morning at a nearby Swiss bakery. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

The hotel restaurant was good for breakfast (we didn’t try out anything else). Amenities provided at the hotel were great. Full access to the minibar, water bottles for day use and fresh fruit. We had several rooms for 3 nights in beautiful Luang Prabang! The Belle River is perfectly located along the Mekong River and in old town area. The staff were amazing! We loved our daily breakfast on the terrace. The sunset cruise was just beautiful. I highly recommend the Belle River boutique! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Luang Prabang.

If you are lucky enough to spend a few days in Luang Prabang, please treat yourself by staying at the Belle Rive. Super lovely- great location (on the Mekong River) and within walking distance to the morning and night markets, numerous Wats, fabulous shops with ethically sourced handicrafts, restaurants, cooking schools, great food (restaurant offers a great view of the sunsets on the River), and really wonderful customer service. They helped us book all of our day trips and everything was simply charged to our room. Definitely visit the Kuang Si Waterfalls along with the Free the Bears rescue center.

Belle Rive Boutique Hotel was absolutely wonderfu

A must stay if visiting Luang Prabang. The rooms are well appointed, staff are amazing and the breakfast on the deck overlooking the Mekong River is amazing. Mango rooms 1 & 2 are noisy but Mango 3 & 4 are not if you can handle stairs. The other two, two story attached residences are also quiet. Must be one of the nicest unique, comfortable and convenient stays we’ve ever experienced.

The room was cozy and clean with A/C. Every member of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was delicious and they made took special orders as needed (for example no eggs in the pancakes due to allergies). We loved the slow morning breakfasts watching the boats on the river. The evening boat ride was a wonderful perk as well.

It's a short walk or cheap tuk-tuk to the night and morning markets.

We greatly enjoyed 4 nights in this wonderful hotel! The location is right on the river, so you cannot ask for a better location, especially during sun set. It is away from the main street so quiet at night, but close to all the main attractions. The hotel arranged all our tours and would recommend anyone to do the same... hassle free! You can also borrow bikes to use around town, very handy. Damian and his team were extremely helpful and genuinely concerned about us as their guests. I can recommend this charming, well located and finely run hotel with complete confidence.

The Belle Rice is a delightful small hotel with a great view of theMekong river, just across the street. The staff was the nicest, most polite and helpful I’ve encountered in any hotel in the world. The free breakfast encompasses anything on the ample menu and the staff is more than helpful arranging tours, airport transfers, or sightseeing information. The owner, Damien, is charming and very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Charming hotel - wonderful location and amenities!

I had such a lovely stay at The Belle Rive and highly recommend it! I stayed in a balcony maisonette room and very much enjoyed my morning coffee or late afternoon Beerlao overlooking the Mekong and the quaint street below. The free breakfast on the hotel's terrace is very good, and the added convenience of having breakfast any time of day is great if you set off early in the morning for an excursion. Staff arranged my trip to Kuang Si Falls and the Laos Buffalo Dairy, and prices for a tuk tuk (I was traveling solo and was the only one in the vehicle) were reasonable. The attention to detail is what I liked the most about the hotel; free, restocked minibar (only recommendation is that they also stock it with some local beer!), free bikes, and a book of recommendations in the room make you feel like you are getting special attention. The location of the hotel is prime - very easy to get to restaurants, temples and shops but away from some of the noise of the main street where they have the night market. It's also right down the street from a center where you can meet with local students to help them practice their English. This was a wonderful first trip to Lao and I hope it will not be my last - and I will return to The Belle Rive on my next visit!

Not enough space for things to do nearby, so here are some favorite restaurants: Bouang, Cafe Toui, Bamboo Tree, Secret Pizza, Good People Good Food Good Price, Phu Vao Pho

Great Location:The hotel is located on the Mekong river side with a nice river view. Daily breakfast is served on the terrace by the river so it was lovely to start the morning with such pleasant view. Also it is so close to everything! L'Elephant restaurant - one of our favorite French restaurant in Luang Prabang - is just around the corner and a lovely spa Frangipani is just up the street. Plus, where alms giving takes place is only 2 minutes away from the hotel yet removed from the chaos of the main street. As it is right on the river, it was also convenient location to take the boat for Pak Ou cave tour as well as sunset cruise. The airport is less than 5km away from the hotel (15min by van/tuk tuk). The main street where alms giving takes place and night market opens on is only 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.
Great Service:The hotel arranges for not only airport transportation but tours around LP. We had a lovely trip via van to Kuangsi Waterfall and boat trip up Mekong River to Pak Ou Cave with a great guide Tuiy. Hotel also offers complimentary sunset cruise as well as bike rental. Minibar is complimentary as well making our stay stress-free and convenient.
Great staff: Hotel staff went above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. From arranging trips to keeping your place tidy and comfortable to packing your breakfast for those days you have early start, they are so helpful and friendly at all time.
Great food: Chicken Noodle Soup and Fried Noodles were amazing
