The best location in town. Stayed here many years ago, and was happy to be back, and see the hotel stoll in a great shape. If you look for location, do not look any further, this is THE one.
The facility is welcoming, clean, excellent staff, good breakfast. Although my room lucked views, it was large and well appointed.
Didn't like: 1. Hard pillows, my definite recommendation for the hotel - get better pillows, i hurt my neck after a night's sleep, and, 2. Need a bigger TV with a couple of english language channels.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Fabulous place to relax and enjoy Luang Prabang

We had a fabulous time here. The location is excellent a few minutes from the night market and Wat Xieng Thong. The alms giving was a few steps from the impressive frontage of the colonial building but we couldn't get up at 5:30 to see it. Our Jr suite was luxurious and we really liked the decor which suited the colonial era building. The staff couldn't have been more helpful -lending us towels when we went to the waterfalls and arranging a taxi to the airport when we left. It was 35 degrees whilst we were there so the plunge pool in a courtyard at the back was very welcome as was the free use of the pool at the Santi Resort, a 20 minute, free shuttle away! I really don't know why the hotel don't advertise this link more widely as it is a major perk and makes the Villa Santi an even more desirable place to stay.

Lovely curb appeal.

One of the best front exteriors for a hotel in Luang Prabang. Lovely \"curb appeal\". Unfortunately where you check in is not where you will be staying. It's down the block a little bit and not as lovely. Staff is friendly. Not sure why but they have a small charge for your daily water.

This hotel could be absolutely beautiful but there were many loose tiles on the hallway floors and the first night when we went to drain our tub the drain was not hooked up and flooded our bathroom. They have a wooden walkway that goes to the pool and there is many nails sticking up more than 1 cm. We pointed this out to one of the employees and he took a rock and banged one nail down but the remainder were left the way they were. The staff was not always seem to friendly.

Hotel is vastly over rated and expensive. requested double bed, NOT twin beds and smoking room. Got 2 beds pushed together and a non smoking room. Minimal amenities in room; no where to sit and use laptop; one window not even covered by curtains; room backed up to a children's school, noisy in the morning; basically a bare-bones room priced as if it were a luxury hotel room. It's NOT !! Given a room on the second floor of an annex about 50 meters around the corner and down the street from the lobby, VERY steep stairs. Find a different place.

Villa Santi is located in a perfect spot - situated on the main street in the old town, surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. The Mekong River, Temples, Royal Palace and Night Market are only a few minutes walk away. All the staff there are very friendly and helpful.

Romantic hotel in a quaint city

We had a lovely stay in Luang Prabang at Villa Santi as part of our honeymoon travels. We stayed 3 nights. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful French colonial style. We took great pictures of the lovely blue doors! The hotel staff were hospitable and spoke good English. The rooms were comfortable but not necessarily luxury. The best part is The hotel is on the main road and you can watch the Almsgiving ceremony from the terrace without interrupting the monks or local people. The hotel is also close to several great restaurants and just a few blocks from the Mekong River. We felt it was one of the best hotels in the city

Huge Disappointment

I arrived at their posted check-in time was kept waiting an hour for a room.My reservation was specifically for a city-view room with a single large bed. I got ground floor room with two small twin beds in their annex with a view the garden wall and nothing else.The room was really shabby with scratched and damaged floors, drab furniture, and no desk, .The hot water supply was poor (something to do with heavy usage before my arrival, I was told.), the remote control didn't work, and the hotel only had 2 plug adaptors for the entire establishment so I could not use my. I was offered a room in their resort but that place had mixed reviews online and was not centrally located. I omplained via telephone to a Lao manager, but was told I would have to go out to the resort to speak with one personally and I wasn't about to spend the short time I had in Luang Prabang chasing down managers. It should have been up to them to find me.The call ended with a promise the this manager would speak to the GM and get back to me. This never happened. To be fair the man on the front desk made a valiant attemptto solve some of the smaller issues by buying another adaptor, replacing batteries in the remote, and showing me that I would have to run the water for 5-10 minutes to get it warm or hot.
Yes, the grounds were beautiful, but that's not where I was living. I travel a lot, and this is unfortunately one of the rare times I have left a hotel feeling cheated.

Charming hotel in Mid of the city.Was one of the best hotel in this city.
But time past fast also the hotel is get older So it need an upgrade time.
Room is to dark hot water need near 5 min to become hot. Amenty need to be better
since the hotel have a good history and it in MUD of the city Just need a bit change
it can be small and very Luxury hotel.But for now it can sell max as 3 star stuff need a bit training renovate the room it easy to become 5 star again.

Lovely French colonial hotel. They upgraded us when we arrived and it was a wonderful large room with large bathroom. It was so nice to walk to the night market, restaurants and even the river. Breakfast is not a buffet but off the menu and sitting/eating on the balcony was lovely.

Lovely hotel, near centre of town

Great hotel, lovely staff, nice breakfast. The only thing that I think people ought to know is that many of the rooms are in the annex which is across the road from the actual hotel but they are down a quiet side street and this was not an issue in the slightest. We really enjoyed our stay and would fully recommend this hotel.
We stayed with young children and had no problems.

Old hotel under renovation

The Villa Santi is well located in town which is why we chose it but that is probably the only thing going for it. The main building is undergoing renovations so we were put in the annex about 2 mins away. Not really a problem but I never thought I would one day wander about Luang Prabang side street wearing my swimmies and bathrobe!

Our room, though pleasant enough, did not have anywhere to sit except the bed. The window faced the back of local maternelle school and during the weekend it was nice and quiet but come Monday it was quite noisy. I love the sound of children playing but not during my hols I guess. I would have liked to be able to sit outside admiring the view but this was not possible except in the foyer of annex. We were also on first floor which had a breakneck ascent ... not ideal if you come back drunk, which luckily we weren't!

The pool was pocket handkerchief sized and although there is a free shuttle to their sister resort one could not shower after.

The breakfast which was included was sufficient but when you are there 5 days becomes a bit monotonous.

Service was generally ok but I sometimes felt Reception were not particularly helpful eg I asked if we could extend checkout to 1pm and were told no as the day was full. Asked another receptionist the next day and was told yes!

For what we got this hotel was overpriced and when we came back from our Mekong River Cruise we chose to stay somewhere else so I would not recommend it to anyone else.

The hotel is in a good location but that's about all it has going for it. The hotel needs an overhaul, it's very old and tired looking. There are marks on all the walls and it is generally falling apart.

The front desk staff were terrible, they were far more interested in their phone than the person standing in front of them. They gave no help in explaining what was in the area and on the two occasions that I asked directions to well known places (within walking distance) they were unable to help in any way, they just said \"don't know\".

The staff during breakfast and the house keeping staff were very friendly, which made a nice change.

For the money I think you could find better.

Fantastic Stay

So glad we booked here! The location was beyond perfect, right in the center of things but still quiet at night. We fell in love with Luang Prabang in part because we were right in the heart of it. The bathtub and breafast were great too. Heartily recommended!

Perfect Location!

This hotel was in a great location! You are on the Main Street which has tons of great restaurants, shops and the night market is a ten minute walk down the road. The room could use a little sprucing up and the bathroom a deep cleaning (bathroom had cobwebs in corners) but other than that the room was spacious. The bed was a little hard though. Breakfast was good. My husband couldn't sleep one night because of all the cats roaming the neighborhood making lots of noise.

The Santi resort we were taken to was very nice in landscaped grounds. We understand that it is fairly common for the Villa Santi to be full and guests taken to this sister property. There were few individual tourists there. It was mainly groups. The big problem is the distance from the town - 10 mins by taxi. There is a shuttle bus at infrequent times and invariably you end up with the extra cost of a taxi at least one way. First time we have experienced this with hotels.com.

Nice hotel but pictures of swimming pool very misleading....the picture I think was of the Santi Resort not the Villa and I booked because of the pool! A couple blocks away from the centre...the room was comfortable but not worth the money...the bathroom was a major disappointment. The shower was awful.The aircon was noisy..lastly the bar served a hideous Singapore Sling and said it was a different recipe....yeah a recipe for disaster...No I would not recommend it or stay there again.

This hotel was rather ancient, but all the essentials were there. We were not in the main hotel building and had to walk out the back, cross the road and then climb around twenty steep stairs to arrive at our room. Fortunately one of the hotel staff carried our large bags. We are in our 70's so I doubt we could have carried those cases up the stairs. It was very convenient,though.

but so so overpriced at 86 usd. room was nice but not 5 star nice - they must have this cost , as the other annex out in the hills is probably more 5 star. be aware this review is for the hotel in town , not out in the hills

- door to room did not lock with a lot of hassle
- shower head was at neck level - the only hotel in Laos and Cambodia with this problem
- room view was onto a pile of rubble to school next door
- can't really swim in the pool
- rooms are in separate complex to reception which is a hassle if something goes wrong
- they could not provide me with hotel transfer and it took 35 minutes to get their own preferred tuk tuk company, which added to stress levels of catching flight

A few steps to the Mekong in Luang Prabang

The perfect place to stay and enjoy the delights of Luang Prabang. Villa Santi is located in the heart of the town, only a few steps away from the Mekong river and the main street. The pool is small but refreshing after a day of walking around the many temples. Breakfast is very good for the area, and there is plenty of it.

Enjoyable stay right in old area

Enjoyable stay here. Staff great and its right in the middle of the old area so walking distance to museum and lots of restaurants. If you book her be aware that you will likely be across the road in a separate annex. We wondered where we were going when we checked in :-) Building fitted in with the character of the place and facilities ok. Working temple next door and some others are also in walking distance. There is a shuttle that goes back and forward with Santi resort if you need a bigger pool.

We stayed in the the Junior suite in the annex, which was spacious, well equipped and had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The bathroom was spacious and had a huge bathtub to relax in, which is prefect after trekking in the jungle .The location of the Villa Santi is perfect for all the sights, the night market, palace and the entrance to Mount Phou Si are all on the same road.)

The staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and unusually for Laos the restaurant had a good selection of vegetarian meals .

Perfect location, very quiet and comfortable room. Air conditioning unit was a bit noisy, too noisy to run at night and sleep, luckily the weather was cool enough not to need it. Elephant fountain over pool is worth seeing. Complimentary breakfast on the balcony each morning is superb and the complimentary airport transfers in an open air golf cart just add to the fun. Definitely worth staying here. Booked through Hotel.com and there was absolutely no hassles and the price was excellent.

For one had large bed, or could change to twin if different room available. Decor in traditional Laos -French furniture with weavings by local women. Great Location - Reasonable Price- Friendly Staff

The Villa Santi is a great choice to stay in Luang Prabang. It is located on the main street where all of the nice restaurants and shops are located. The rooms are fine and clean, and a good value for the price. The breakfasts, which are included with all of the rooms, are very good with plenty of food choices. The reception staff at the hotel speaks English well and were very helpful in booking tours and taxis back to the airport. The hotel is also located half a block from the best French-Lao restaurant in town \"L'Elefant\" and also a lovely wine bar (across from \"L'Elefant\") and surrounding nice boutique stores. We enjoyed our several night stay at the Villa Santi and would certainly return there upon a future trip to LP. While Luang Prabang, make sure to go to the Palace Museum and the daily night market, which are both walking distance from the hotel as well as the many lovely Buddhist temples which are all also walking distance from the hotel. The Mekong river is only 2 blocks down from the hotel, where you can take the boat tour of the Pak Ou Caves which contains hundreds of Buddhas. Although the caves were nice (nothing spectacular), the 2 hour trip up and down the Mekong is what made this excursion memorable. While in LP, you can also visit the Elephant camps and several waterfalls. Lots of tour agencies in town as well for price comparisons. It's hot in Laos so bring light clothing.

Great location in Luang Prabang

The good news is that this is the best location for LP - right on the main street where the monks walk in the early morning. The staff are very helpful, the breakfast is very good. The rooms need serious updating - our first room smelled musty so we were given the same room a few doors down that was ok but the beds are not good - felt they would collapse under serious weight or movement. We took the van to the Villa Santi hotel/spa just outside town & enjoyed the pool & some amazing spa treatments. Overall would recommend this hotel for visiting such a special place.

The hotel is in a great location on the main street in Luang Prabang. The hotel has a lovely courtyard at the front and the back of the hotel, with a small pool, and main reception area is open and pleasant. the restaurant where you have breakfast and any other meals is upstairs from the reception.
The hotel rooms are in the main building and they also have another building in the side street next to the hotel which is where I stayed. The rooms are in simple, Laos style are well furnished without being overly opulent and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit strange, as the shower is not as high as I would have liked & I'm 5ft 2in.
The breakfast was good, they had a good choice but its not up to western standards & too be quite honest, that doesn't bother me.
I ate lunch in the restaurant the day I arrived & dinner the night before I left & the food is excellent & reasonably priced but a bit pricey for Laos. The drinks are very expensive in Laos terms.
there is a shuttle bus which takes you to the sister resort which is about a 15 min drive & is worth the trip on a sunny day, as they have an amazing site, breath taking views and a great pool.
The service by the staff is OK but they did prefer to play with their mobile phones, and you end up having to look for them.
Overall a great hotel which I thought was a little expensive for LP compared to a few other places I visited but I think it was worth every penny.

A nice hotel with good service but facilities are quite basic. It's still a good hotel for a short vacation.

箇条書きで、中心地にある。ホテルの目の前で托鉢体験が出来る。朝食はメニューから選んで注文。おいしい。スタッフがとても親切。

Chambre magnifique, décorée avec goût dans un style colonial élégant. Personnel au top, attentionné et souriant. Petite piscine agréable pour se rafraîchir en fin de journée, avec en bonus la possibilité de prendre une navette gratuite pour profiter du resort principal. Jolie terrasse devant l’hôtel pour savourer un cocktail au calme. L’un des plus beaux établissements de la ville, idéalement situé : proche de tout mais à l’écart du bruit. Un vrai coup de cœur ! 🌿🍸

予約したカテゴリーの部屋が用意されていなかった。
計算間違えが多く、端数のお釣りを渡さない時が有る。
Wi-Fiは非常に遅い。
レストランスタッフやベルボーイの愛想は良くて、対応も親切。
古い建物で趣が有るが、メンテナンスにやや難有り。ドアや窓に隙間があって、蚊が結構入ってくのは困った。
ロケーションは、非常に便利です。

Chambre aménagée dans un bâtiment ancien entouré d’un jardin. Cadre plaisant. Bon petit déjeuner. Personnel attentionné. Agréable terrasse-jardin devant le bâtiment de la réception pour prendre une consommation ou un repas.

ロケーションは最高でした。初日はシャンプーが無かったり、3人で宿泊したのに、タオルは最後まで2人分だったり…という点は少々残念でしたが、まあ、お国柄かなーと思います。

場所も部屋もとても良かったです。ただ通りを渡った部屋なので、夜は少し怖かったり、朝はお寺の太鼓が4時から聞こえます。それもラオスらしいと思うなら良い所です。帰りの飛行場まで車が10ドルなのか、5万キップなのか判然としませんでした。

バスタブの栓がしっかり閉まらずお風呂がいつまで経っても溜まりません。お風呂の底からも水漏れし、バスルームの半分くらいまで水が流れてしまいました。
部屋自体は悪くないですが、窓の外は目隠しの植木が植えてあり、景色は最悪です。
2泊の予定でしたが、2泊目は支払ってある代金を捨てても、他のホテルに移りました。
宿泊施設で旅の印象は相当左右されるので、お金には変えられません。
このホテルに泊まることはおススメできません。

ที่พักสะอาดดี อยู่ใจกลางที่สามารถเดินไปสถานที่เที่ยวได้ง่าย แต่พนักงานรีเซฟชั่นคนแรกให้ข้อมูลไม่ค่อยเคลียเท่าไหร่ และคืนแรกห้องพักแอร์เสียไม่เย็น ต้องนอนแบบเปิดพัดลมแทน ไม่สามารถย้ายห้องได้เพราะไม่มีเตียงเสริม เพราะเจ้าหน้าที่แม่บ้านเลิกงานไปแล้ว เจ้าหน้าที่เหลือที่โรงแรมไม่มีใครหาฟูกเสริมให้ได้เลย
